As a result of that rough start, rain saved India in the decider match between SA and India. It's very unfortunate that the match was called off due to rain. The series now stands at 2-2. It would have been possible to play this decider, but the weather prevented it. The BCCI shouldn't schedule matches during this monsoon season in South India. It is unfortunate that BCCI is getting busy scheduling IPL only during non-rainy seasons.
We can't say the rough start have saved, even in the previous match India lost 2 by 24 runs. This match is no difference from the previous match. The match can turn anyway. In the previous match it looked like South Africa will reach the target, but things didn't work well. As said BCCI is busy in scheduling IPL, but it has failed in the important match. I think BCCI could've made this plan just to increase the winning chance for India.

This part of the month is not suitable to arrange a match in any part of South India as the monsoon has already arrived in many states. Another crucial match was lost due to the rain. IPL is important would remain important for the BCCI as they now are making more money from it than bilateral series. It is unfortunate that BCCI is more focused on making IPL one of the biggest sporting league in the world than concentrating on international matches.

The match has been reduced to 19 overs per side, and therefore we can expect even more fireworks. Rishabh Pant seems to be as unlucky as Virat Kohli, when it comes to winning the toss. Not even once out of 5 times in this series he got his call right. Keshav Maharaj is captaining South Africa and the interesting news is that Tristan Stubbs is included in the playing XI. Tabraiz Shamsi is replaced with Reeza Hendricks, but surprisingly Marco Jansen has been dropped in order to include Kagisio Rabada. I would have rather dropped Lungi Ngidi.

Ishan Kishan has been very aggressive from the first over. India was able to collect 16 runs in the first over. But India lost Ishan Kishan's wicket in the second over. Kishan returned to the dressing room after collecting 15 runs from 7 balls. And now at the end of 3 overs, India collected 25 runs. Batsmen need to bat with some responsibility. India will win the series if they can win today's match.
I feel somehow the captain has a bad luck. Whatever he does situation doesn't favour him. This match is crucial for the records but BCCI had to schedule it now. I hope the rains stops and the match starts. If not then I will lose my bet within the group of my friends.

The last match of the T20 series between India and Southafrica will be played today. So far both team have won 2 matches each. Toss will again play a crucial part in this match too. The match is being played in Bengaluru and hopefully as always the pitch would be good for batting. I only fear that rain might interrupt the match as monsoon has already started in south india.
I predicted rain some hours ago and now I think this match will favour the SA side. SA has already won the toss and elected to field first. This is not good for the Indian side as if the match resume it would be difficult to bat. Another reason to worry is that if the match gets delayed by a few hours then this match get cancelled and the series will be a draw. I hope the drizzling stops as soon as possible and match resumes.

A lot of the users were surprised with the poor performance from Bangladesh, but it was somewhat expected for me. Ever since they got the test status in 1999, the performance from the Bongs have been like this only. Once in a while, they will score an upset victory against one of the stronger sides and that will enable them to continue with the current status. IMO, other emerging teams such as Afghanistan also deserves the chances that are being given to Bangladesh. Why Afghanistan is not a part of the World Test Championship, despite the fact that they are also a full member?
One the main reason why Afghanistan might not get recognised as a test playing nation is due to the present political situation in that country. Bangladesh performance has been degrading in all format not just Test cricket. I am not sure what cannot the Bangladesh board find talents who can play good cricket.

England V Netherlands

An ODI match between England and the Netherlands is being held now at Amstelveen. After winning the toss, the Netherlands decided to bowl. And England lost the wicket of Jason Roy by just 1 run. But now England is in a good position. England scored 59 runs in 9 overs. And my guess is that England will have set a target of over 330 today if they don't lose wickets very quickly.
Missed this game as I was not aware about it. Netherlands are a weak team when compared with England. A huge score against a weak side is possible but not like 498 runs. Jos butler was scored 162 runs in just 70 balls. I would have loved to see this man bat.

You are right. The Netherlands team was weak. And we all knew the match would be one-sided. But no one thought we would see such batting of England players. England scored 174 runs in the first 25 overs. But in the last 25 overs, they collected 324 runs. England has collected about 13 runs in each over. I was not ready to watch such devastating batting.
However, the batsmen of the Netherlands have batted well enough. They also managed to score 266 runs against England's experienced bowlers. This is certainly admirable.
I saw the highlights later on and fell very pity for the Netherland side. They were looking helpless and we're not able to understand what was going on. They need to work a lot on bowling or should find new bowling talent. To an extent I felt English batters were slaughtering those bowlers.

The question that comes to my mind first is that, why you would be interested to check merits transactions? Is it that you are not getting enough Merits after being active or you think on the Bangladeshi board Merit farming is happening? Analysis of the local board merit won't answer your query.

I'm least excited about Wall Street buying into Bitcoin (also ETFs and other BS), it's money for the people, not money for money bags, but the technology is such that anyone can own bitcoins so obviously money bags will have the most of it.

I look at it as kind-of a trap. They can own more of it, sure. They just can't print more of it.
This is how they have survived for so long. The only good part is that they can only buy some of the Bitcoin and not all of it as they cannot print it.
2831  Local / India / Re: What might be the reason for Bitcoin to go below 25k? on: June 18, 2022, 04:47:22 AM
I was suprised when I saw Bitcoin falling so fast from yesterday's price point till now. June 12th the price was holding around at 29k, i assumed it will go up or go down a little bit.

Some what similar to June 6th and then May 30th. It has been been hovering around the range of 28k to 30k for quiet some time now. Suddenly it went below 25k on a single day and that becomes a trigger for someone like me who saw Bitcoin usd value at around 3k to 4k between 2018 to 2019 in the month of April. In reality that was the golden time to grab 1 Bitcoin.

This situation isn't alarming for me but, i did some checks within the forum and found out that, this situation might have arised because of the LUNA issue or it might have been because of the global inflation situation.

What do you guys think can be the issue? Let's have a discussion here!

Some are saying it's because of the Celsius network breaking down while some think it's because of the global depression coming in, but truth is all of this is just a market cycle, you have to have a depression to normalise the market after an uptrend, if you see monthly charts of last year you'll see how bitcoin was trading every month on it's upper Bollinger it obviously has to see some depression days to bring the normalcy back in the market.
Do not know how long this bear market willl continues but you are correct that this is a market cycle. I did expect the market to correct but not so much of correction. Bitcoin still hovering around 20k to 22k. If I remember 20k was once a new high in 2017 and 20k is now the new low in 2022. Overall the market should look good for institutional investors if they are planning to accumulate more Bitcoin.

I am not surprised that India has won. I was surprised to see South Africa's batting. This team won the first match by collecting 212 runs in 19.1 overs. In the second match, they won by scoring 149 runs in 18.2 overs. I am very surprised that the same team will accept a shameful defeat by losing all the wickets for only 87 runs. However, I am waiting for the last match. I think South Africa will win the series.
Probably no one expected such disaster of South Africa batting lineup. South Africa played very well in the first two games. They have chased a big target in the first match. But their batting performance has broken in front of Indian bowling lineup in the third and fourth T20. South Africa got all out in both of those games. I was thinking that South Africa will easily win this series, but now I have doubts about it.
India lost the first two match, which could have been a question mark over the bowling of the Indian cricket team. But the way India have comeback in the last two matches, which I expected. Because a team like India can play one or two match bad but can also come back in a strong way. Now the series has become competitive. I would not be surprised now if India wins the next match and wins the series.

While Indian bowlers have been able to improve their performance, the performance of Indian batsmen has not been good enough. I am not satisfied with the performance of Indian batsmen. In today's match, India scored only 56 runs in the first 10 overs. The run rate was less than 6. They should have collected at least 70 runs in the first 10 overs.
Indo not think the performance of Indian batters was bad. The pitch was suitable for bowlers and I feel SA was not able to keep the pressure on the indian batters after the 12 over. Dinesh Karthik was too agressive and Hardik did the right thing to stay put with him on the pitch. Avesh Khan bowling was excellent yesterday and Chehal has shown consistent performance.

West Indies lost 6 wickets, but they collected 231 runs. They are now ahead of Bangladesh by 128 runs. I think, West Indies may not be able to collect 300 runs. However, I have no confidence in the batsmen of the Bangladesh team. Bangladesh are likely to lose all their wickets before 150 in the second innings. So I think West Indies will win this match.

West Indies innings will end today. I would even say that the West Indies innings may end in the next 5 overs. They lost 9 wickets. Miraz took three wickets. Ebadot and Khaled took 2 wickets each. West Indies may be able to collect maximum 20 runs. But then I am waiting to see how the batsmen of Bangladesh perform.
West Indies have managed to score 265 runs and Bangladesh have begun it's second innings batting. End of the day's play Bangladesh have lost 2 wickets scoring 50 runs. Three more days left in the match, so the win of West Indies is almost confirmed.
They still have three more days to chase 112 runs but I am sure they wouldn't be able to do so as they have already lost 2 wickets. I still feel it is to early to declare WI as winners. The game is still in its initial stage. Bangladesh can still come back if one of their batters can stay on the pitch.

I was thinking that New Zealand would perform exceptionally well in this series, but England seems to be revived under Stokes and McCullum partnership. Lastly I believe that New Zealand will bounce back strongly in tests, because they have player’s who excel in this format hence just a matter of time before they start winning again.

New Zealand also lost two Tests. There is no way to say they played badly. The performance of the New Zealand players was good enough. But in both the matches, England's players have been batting incredibly well in the 2nd innings. England won the last match because of Bairstow's innings of 136 off 92 balls. Hopefully the last match will also be competitive.
Eagerly waiting for the last match and I hope this time Newzealand wins it. They have not at all perfomed well but they need to work more on the batting. Only two batters have performed well in this series and other batters need to contribute in the last match.
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 17, 2022, 06:27:06 AM
An excellent decision from BCCI. India will be led by Hardik Pandya in the two-match T20I series in Ireland, he is the best for leading the team right now. After winning IPl a month ago, he is full of confidence. He is a better choice than Pant, in my opinion. The board still has a lot of trust to put in Pandya, but for how long? Change the team leader on a regular basis. Maybe KL will captain the next series instead of Pandya?

Pandya seems like the best option among the lot for now though he has to prove himself on the international stage since international and IPL matches are different in several ways.
The format is the same but the pressure will be different. He has proven that he can captain in a T20 format after this season of IPL and I think he will be able to do a better job than Panth. In the meantime India will be playing today to stay in the contention of winning the T20 series with South Africa. Last match Rishab Panth perfomance as a batter was not upto the mark. I hope he plays some good innings today.

Srilankan bowlers had a great day yesterday. The pitch helped them as the ball was not coming on the bat. The fielding was exceptionally better as compared to the 1st ODI. Australia started well and they were in a good position before finch got out. Maxwell did not last long this time and as soon as he was out I knew Srilanka would win this match.
2838  Local / India / Re: What might be the reason for Bitcoin to go below 25k? on: June 16, 2022, 11:16:05 AM
Yes, you both are correct but there was another news of celsius network not allowing withdrawal of Bitcoin. That was another reason why the value of Bitcoin fell as small investors panicked and sold most of their Bitcoin held somewhere else.

The problem to date is that   none of those who had or have invested after the ATH believe in Bitcoin. If they had then they wouldn't have sold their holdings.

Best bottom indicator yet? Genuinely sounds like Peter is trying to troll himself here...

I do not think that is possible as I said earlier if, Bitcoin goes below 20k then institutional investors are leaving. If this happens then it is probably a red flag and we will see a low as 3k. I don't think it will happen as in general institutional investors would rather capatalize this opportunity or leave the market. Another important thing about institutional investers is that they always invest for long-term and that can be a minimum of 5 years or more.
2840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 16, 2022, 05:08:36 AM
Right now New Zealand is really trying to concentrate on the shorter format of cricket because they have already won the world test cricket championship. With the cricket world cup coming up the only makes sense that they are concentrating on the shorter format and that is the only explanation there is I think.

Playing in away conditions has put a lot of pressure on them in my opinion and they are not being able to get used to the conditions. It has taken a big toll on their performance. They are playing really bad in test cricket right now. They are even losing the matches that they should easily be winning.

New Zealand players are more suited to the longer format, when compared to limited overs cricket. It is their strength and I don't think that they will ignore this format. Both their batsmen (Kane Williamson, Tom Blundell.etc) and the bowlers (Kyle Jamieson, Neil Wagner.etc) are tailor made for test format. Only a few such as Trent Boult and Devon Conway have proved to be consistent performers in limited overs cricket. The excuse of not getting used to the conditions is flimsy. The team is jampacked with experienced players, and weather and ground conditions in England are similar to those back home in New Zealand.
Whatever is happening with Newzealand side does not matter as the last two test matches were really very interesting. After so many years I am enjoying a test series. England homeground advantage is helping them a lot as I won't say Newzealand performance has been bad. It is only Mitchell and Blundell who have shown consistent batting performance. In the last match no one knew that Bairstow will bat so well.
