2821  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: NCKRAZZE's Deposits - Low Risk Deposits with Guaranteed Payback Weekly @ 2.5% /w on: April 01, 2013, 06:15:28 AM
I'm really happy for you and your investors. Please contact us when all your debts are cleared for the removal of your tag.  Grin

Huh? Why?  Where did the option to pay back in a currency worth only 10% come from?  Did his investors agree to be paid back in "worse-of" terms?
Not sure about that. I thought his investors and him agreed on the payment amount.

Check out the gambling subsection.
2823  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Long Term Loan 100 BTC on: April 01, 2013, 02:11:48 AM
Well, can you please keep your lending offers in one place? You're literally posting every next day asking for loans here.
2824  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: NCKRAZZE's Deposits - Low Risk Deposits with Guaranteed Payback Weekly @ 2.5% /w on: April 01, 2013, 01:58:42 AM
Hello to all depositors.

About 2 months ago, I was able to get a loan in fiat from my bank, and seeing that the market was rapidly rising, bought coins with them. Today, I have exactly what I owed from the day of my default, in fiat, based on the range of coins being from 6 to 13 USD, with a mean of 9.5, which I have rounded up to 10 USD.

With this, I would like to state, that I will be paying back all of my debt with these funds that are stored in MTGox over the course of the next few weeks. I will pay out in redeemable MTGox codes in USD, which you can decide to invest back into the market if you would like to, since it is continuously rising. Please understand that this process will be lengthy because of the various caps on my MTGox account.

I will send out payments in the order in which I receive PM's, so PM me ASAP and I will reply with a redeemable MTGox code as soon as I can (or as caps permit).

As payments are received, please post in the thread to confirm these payments.

Thank you to everyone who has waited this long for me to be able to pay out, as well as to everyone who has treated me with some decency in the duration of the default.

I'm really happy for you and your investors. Please contact us when all your debts are cleared for the removal of your tag.  Grin

I have now received the final payment from John. All transactions are now 100% completed and confirmed.

Thanks to everyone involved for a quick, honest, and smooth exchange.

This, and thanks for the tips!  Grin
2826  Economy / Securities / Re: [WTS] 204 ASICMINER Shares for 155BTC Total (0.75/share) (SALE PENDING) on: March 30, 2013, 02:18:18 PM
Just an update, Friedcat has completed the share transfer for both buyers. I got the PM this morning from him. He copied both buyers on the PM as well. I will ask him to post in the thread when he gets the chance, but now we're just waiting on Rodyland to check his PM so he can notify John of reciept of the shares.

Thanks everyone for a smooth transaction!
Awesome, just tell either one of them to drop me a PM.  Grin

Please report those posts - I don't usually take a look round the Speculation subforum.
2829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main developers don't give a damn about us, bitcoiners! on: March 29, 2013, 04:19:20 PM
I have read through the thread, and as somebody who uses Armory extensively for the coin control feature plus others, I have to disagree respectfully to paraipan. To cut it short, the reference client should be improved slowly and steadily, thus decreasing the potential vector of attacks as possible. Also, Mike does make a good point up there - spending from a single address isn't paramount to the client, and I'd like to have as few features as possible just for the ease of use to newbies. At the end of the day, anyone wanting the advanced features (or 'graduate') from the reference client can simply use other clients like Armory or even the test-qt by Luke.
2830  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea 'readies rocket force' after US stealth flights on: March 29, 2013, 04:09:40 PM
I hope you're right, but the tension in the region does seem to be ratcheting up.

I am more concerned about the situation between China and Japan (that hasn't been mentioned much in Western headlines) as talk of war between them (over the disputed territory) is now a constant topic in Beijing.

One of these days, China's going to nuke Tokyo, or something similarly drastic, and it will be a complete surprise to everyone except the Chinese and Japanese.
Yeah, apparently the feud runs deep between them since the world war last time.

Just to confirm that I've issued the escrow contract to Rodyland and Glasswalker.
2836  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Cairnsmore CM1 Boards 6.25 BTC on: March 29, 2013, 02:03:22 AM
Thanks great and agreed, will contact John for escrow.

Contract posted here as per PM

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

The escrow address for Entropy-uc(the seller) and 1helmi's(the buyer) transaction would be:

12PdKZWgGFGnvYC7pmU9fwURHrzP4cXLXG

Please state and agree to the conditions (if item is received damaged, item lost with tracking, customs fee etc) beforehand.

If possible, GPG sign your agreement to prevent any discrepancies later on and please ship with tracking to prevent problems during delivery. GPG signing is not a requirement, and any verbal exchange in the form of private messages or posts on bitcointalk.org, or email is effective as a ‘statement of condition’.

The fine print:
This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which refers to the pseudonyms used on bitcointalk.org.
The escrow holder, John, assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the deal to the fullest extent he is capable of.  On the event that any problems arises, he will release the escrow to whichever party that presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others or theymos.
The verbal acceptance by both parties (or the failure to reject) and the sending of Bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated, and the activation of this Contract.

Please understand that I am doing this partly as a community service for members, I am assuming the risk of holding the escrowed Bitcoins, and I am using my own time to facilitate this transaction.
If it does not represent a burden to do so, please tip me at 1NB1KFnFqnP3WSDZQrWV3pfmph5fWRyadz .

Thank you.

John (the escrow holder)

My netbook is worth more than my house.

Advice, if I may: Make more than 1 copy of that paper wallet.
Keep them in different buildings. A fire could give you a really bad day.

What about a bank?

Whats the quote to have a personal bank safe?

I can't be the only one that finds the idea of storing your private keys in a bank hilarious?

No, it isn't hilarious at all. Especially when you come back home to see your house burnt down and the fire safe's contents burnt to a crisp.
