2821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Polish League - Ekstraklasa Prediction & Discussion Thread ⚽ on: February 04, 2022, 09:14:33 PM
the second half of the polish ekstraklasa starts today, too, and the very struggling champion legia warsaw plays away against zaglebie lubin - it will be interesting to see whether legia has recovered during the winter break and will play more successful football than in the first half of the season...
the second friday match will be played by the last team in the table bruk-bet termalica vs. jagiellonia
Do they always return from winter break so early compared to other Eastern countries like Russia or Ukraine. 1st week of february is still deep winter.
Legia is leading 2;1 with few minutes remaining. I think second part of season will be better for Legia because they dropped from UEFA competitions and will be able to focus on domestic league only. It's still possible to fight even for spots in Europe for next season.

I would like to add that bobsleigh is becoming more and more popular also, as this year there will first women monobob races. I dont remember women participating in world and other championships either.

Also I cant remember that I saw nordic combined before. What it this? Mixture of biathlon and ski jumping? Interesting to see how this is going to be. First they jump, then change skies and race? This is going to be exciting to watch, as if someone is bad at jumping, he can improve results by speed skiing.
Bobsleigh, skeleteon or luge is interesting sport - you need to have big balls to ride down in such big speed. It will be interesting to see Jamaica bobsleigh in Olympics. I think they don't participate in boblseigh World Cup, so, they will come to Olympics without much practice.
Nordic combined is old sport, it is in Olympics for long time already. It's mixture of skiing and ski jumping, not biathlon. But you described it correct. These sports is so different that is very difficult to be good at both.
2823  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid-19 booster on: February 03, 2022, 11:12:28 PM
Latest data from the US:

Fully vaccinated: 0.1 deaths per 100,000
Unvaccinated: 10 deaths per 100,000

100x more likely to die if you are unvaxxed.
I think that these stats is almost meaningless now when omicron variant is dominating. I think that these stats isn't available but it would be interesting to see how many vaccinated/unvaccinated people who got omicron passed away. But I'm sure that unvaccinated people isn't 100x more likely to die.
I don't see point of booster or even 4th jab when current vaccines don't give that much protection against omicron and when omicron itself isn't that dangerous. Maybe only for most vulnerable people it makes sense to take so called booster.
2824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 03, 2022, 10:58:46 PM
nevertheless, with this 1:0 against Cadiz, and Rayo vs Mallorca in other pair our draw half, CDR final is really close for us, it would save this season
And now Athletic kicked out Real Madrid. So, now we have Athletic, Betis, Rayo and Valencia in semifinals. Looks very interesting without obvious favorite. Copa is great chance for these teams to get spot in Europa league for next season.

What you guys think about Barca incoming transfers?
Feran Torres - I think we can probably all agree he is a great signing and should slot right into the team without any acclimation period needed
Auba - Don't really see him as perfect fit for Barca, since he is only good when he has space and there is maybe few clubs in the world willing to give Barca space, but still it is a great deal financially so I'll let it slide for now
Traore - I really don't see him as Barca player, I just hope Xavi will prove me wrong somehow
Couldn't argue about Torres. Auba - few years ago it would be great signing, but now, I don't know. I'm more positive than negative about it.
Traore - I really don't know what to expect from him.
2825  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia is bullying Ukraine, but can it really hold? on: February 03, 2022, 12:01:58 AM
The Baltic countries aren't as big as Ukraine, don't have the historical significance that Ukraine does (Ukraine was previously part of the USSR, after all). And Ukraine cooperates with the US intelligence communities, which is one of the things Putin contests.

Sure, missiles could fly from the Baltic countries, but they're not militarily active, and chances are they'd stay neutral in any sort of conflict. Ukraine is a justifiable target, a country like Estonia or Lithuania is not.
Actually, Baltic countries were occupied by USSR for 50 years too in case you missed it. But Putin considering Russia and Ukraine as same nation as he said such things multiple times. They don't like that Baltic countries joined NATO and they don't want to let Ukraine to do such thing. But it's not their deal, Ukraine should decide themselves what they want to do.
Lithuania or Estonia isn't Switzerland to stay neutral, especially when things in Ukraine may directly affect us. It's more likely that biggest NATO countries like France or especially Germany (because of NordStream) would stay neutral.
2826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: February 02, 2022, 11:42:34 PM
I know that competition starts before official opening. And that was I dont understand. Why not then make duration of Olympic games longer, instead of running games before start? That would give some extra rest day for athletes.

As a hockey fan, I remember that game for gold happens usually on Sunday. And one team advances to final on Thursday, other on Friday. Always one team has one day less rest. If they increase duration of games, it might turn that both team will get same time for rest.
Only few competition which is longer and don't fit into that 2 weeks of Olympics starts before opening ceremony. It's mainly curling, women ice hockey, or football in summer Olympics. Probably it's not worth to start whole Olympic Games earlier because of few competition.
And I think you're wrong about hockey, football or other team sports semifinals - it usually happens on same day. For example, in 2018 they played both on same day, so, none of teams didn't got extra day rest.
2827  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Donation Campaign For 15-Year-Old Swimmer Lana Pudar on: February 02, 2022, 11:28:25 PM
It's either that or she never received or read the Instagram message. I mentioned that it was sent from a brand-new account with no real name or profile behind it. Considering that Instagram banned the account, who knows how the message was handled. I will get in touch with someone from the Swimming Federation soon. If that doesn't work, I am not planning any additional steps.
I understand that you sent message from brand new account because of privacy, but it may be reason why you didn't got response. Message related with money from new, empty account - it looks a bit suspicious. If I would receive something similar, I would be sceptical about it. Offcourse, it's possible that she didn't even saw message.
2828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 01, 2022, 11:42:29 PM
I just realized that F1 is the type of "sport" that people do not talk about in the sports world. I know that we are used to seeing sports being done by people and only people, so when a machine gets in the way everyone talks about how it is a "racing" thing and not a sports thing but I feel like it is still sports. I mean these drivers lose so much weight every single time they go out there, we all remember many times when the water was not given because of some malfunction to many racers and they almost passed out from sweating and losing weight and no water.

So, these are athletes as well, and they are doing a sport, just because it was a race and they had a machine doesn't mean they are not athletes. This stigma should be broken, they are the best at what they do in the entire world, and they should be considered highly regarded just like football or basketball players.
When I read your post, I literally hear that Kimi team radio about drink in my head Cheesy. You're right, F1 and racing series drivers should be physically fit. It's not only about losing weight. They also experience so much G force during braking, going trough corners or during crash. What if you will put someoneinto the car who isn't read for it and they may be some very bad consequences.
2829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why the reduced publicity? on: February 01, 2022, 11:35:35 PM
So in summary of this, you are saying that with more social media sites, younger people are no longer interested in learning through forums? How about those Interested in learning but don't know where to go and have no one to point them in the right direction? I don't mean to over flog the issue.
In general yes. There is one common thing among most of forums, not just Bitcointalk - they struggle to attract new members, mainly old members keep forums active. Offcourse, you can"t feel it so much on huge forums like Bitcointalk and also this forum is exception from rule because of sig. campaigns and bounties. But on smallers forums it feels.
For younger people forums is thing from past. I think that they would prefer to learn using other platforms, for example, watching Youtube videos or even TikTok.
These who are looking for information, eventually they will find Bitcointalk. Then it's only question whether they will come here and stay or they will move on to other platform.

One thing is for sure, sooner or later these cheaters end up getting caught. They may have already caused several problems, difficult to solve.

Yeah, cheaters always will find ways how to cheat. And it doesn't even matter which sports it is, whether it's weightlifting or chess.
You're right that cheaters will be caught sooner or later. Fair athletes will get their earned medals eventually, but they won't have that memorable moment when you see your country flag raised and anthem played during medal ceremony.

As I guess swimming has nothing to do with this Olympiad, but you have touched on an interesting topic. Has anyone seen information about trans athletes who will participate in this olympiad? As far as I remember, several trans athletes took part in the last summer olympiad, but did not achieve any success. I also wonder how such athletes will perform in China, as far as I know such things are not welcome there.
As far as I know, probably there won't be transgender athletes in Winter Olympics. Otherwise I guess news about it would spread widely already.
Personally, I'm sceptical about transgenders in such competition. For example, someone in male body competing against female, it's just not fair.

2831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why the reduced publicity? on: February 01, 2022, 10:26:09 AM
Reduced publicity? I think you're wrong about it. IMO, forum is popular enough and it have big user database.
Why you and many others don't know about Bitcointalk. Because forum isn't that kind of website which would be actively promoted on ad banners, blogs, Youtube and etc. But if you search for information, reviews or something similar it's likely that you will discover Bitcointalk.
And nowadays forums is a bit outdated thing, especially for younger people. They prefer to interact on social media instead of forums. For some people forums have turned into mIRC kind of thing.
2832  Other / Meta / Re: What outsiders know or say about Bitcointalk. on: February 01, 2022, 12:06:37 AM
Well, some information on these websites is simply outdated, some things is just wrong. There is nothing surprising about. People from outside can't know things better than these who are regular on Bitcointalk.
Coinmarketcap.com
1. It did not recognise Bitcointalk as the largest Bitcoin Forum.
Quote
What Is Bitcointalk?

Today, Bitcointalk is one of the largest online forums where people can ask questions and discuss topics related to Bitcoin, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency in general. The forum was created by the infamous inventor of Bitcoin itself — Satoshi Nakamoto, in November 2009.

I think that by saying "one of largest online forums" they talk not just about Bitcoin forums. It's about all forums from all categories - cars, food, IT and all other stuff. Because probably there is not that many forums online with over 3.4 million registered users.
Offcourse, I may be wrong. It may be just nitpicking.
2833  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A vaccine buffet. on: January 31, 2022, 11:49:56 PM
None. Last April/May I already got two jabs and it's enough for me. Actually, I had opportunity to choose from these 4 vaccines and took Pfizer without thinking much. I just wanted to stay away from Astra Zeneca. Though, even without getting vaccinated, most likely that I would have light covid - I'm young and healthy person. In general, I got vaccinated just get covid passport.
But now, when omicron is spreading, vaccination is more or less pointless. For most people it have mild symptoms and vaccine don't give much protection from getting infected. Omicron is best vaccine now.
2834  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SCAM ALERT? Exodus.com or Exodus.io? on: January 31, 2022, 11:34:33 PM
I haven't used Exodus wallet for long time, so, I also got a bit confused when I saw this topic. As said above, both .com and .io domains is official ones, but maybe Exodus haven't communicated it clearly enough and people get confused. For example I remember that when Blockchain.info bought .com domain, they had spread news about it widely.

If I am not wrong Exodus is not completely open sourced so its not really 100% secure for long term holding. If you are using this wallet for storage of Bitcoin then better go for Electrum which is available for desktop as well and light weight so you can feel safe.
You're right about it. But this topic isn't about whether Exodus is good wallet to use or no. Electrum is good wallet, but it's just for Bitcoin and don't offer multiple coin support.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HANDBALL EHF EURO 2022 Discussion thread on: January 31, 2022, 10:25:46 AM
Everyone happy with Sweden win? Can't say they don't deserve it, the way they upset France. Final moment penalty made the difference in the end. 20 years since the last win apparently?

And Denmark, the favourite for gold, least took home a consolation medal.
It was great final with dramatic ending. Interesting that France had timeout to make last attack, but it was complete failure. They left time to Sweden for response and earned 7m penalty on last second.
3rd place game was good too. Denmark simply dominated in overtime.

There were lot of questions about China hockey team in Olympics. And finally, few days ago they announced their roster. All their 25 players this season is playing for Kunlun Red Star in KHL. It's strongest league in Europe, but Red Star is by far worst team in the league. In group with USA, Canada and Germany, even scoring goals will be big deal for them.
Interesting that from 25 players, just 9 are born in China. Others are from Canada, USA and Russia. And this team is called China national team:
https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2022/olympic-m/news/31645/enter_the_dragons

I don't like it when the Olympic Games are held during a global pandemic.  At such competitions, apparently there will not be many spectators, or they will not be allowed into the stands at all.  Most of the famous athletes will not come to the Olympics.  And in general, such an event is a huge celebration.  And now it turns out just some kind of parody of the holiday.  But, I understand that this is still a billion-dollar business.  And then there is the politics of which countries will come, others will not.
In any case, there remains some regret that the holiday is not quite a holiday, but, as it were, only half - everything is in the report and pictures on TV
We already living in pandemic for 2 years. Life should go on, things can't be stopped for so long. And we're still in pandemic, but some countries already lifting all covid related restrictions and back to normal life.
And I think that you're wrong that most famous athletes will not come to Olympics. Only NHL players won't be able to participate, all other stars will come if they wont catch Covid in upcoming week.
2837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HANDBALL EHF EURO 2022 Discussion thread on: January 30, 2022, 02:17:33 PM
So what are your thoughts before 3rd place game and final?
I think that final between Spain and Sweden have no favorite, it's 50/50 game. Personally I would like to see Spain winning 3rd EURO title in a row. But I really liked Sweden in this tournament, so I won't mind to see them winning.
In 3rd place game Denmark is slightly favoured, but after what they did previously, I want France to win.

Nope and who would wish that on anybody?  I’m just make a point and saying did you guys notice Raikonnen’s driving last season?  His reflexes aren’t what they used to.  He’s making a lot of mistakes out there in the race, making him a danger to himself and all the other drivers.  It’s prolly age related dunno.  But if you were watching, you kinda knew he was done in F1.

And what do you mean by ‘surprise’?  It’s not gonna happen imho.  The season starts in less than a couple of months from now.
Don't agree about Kimi. He wasn't that bad last season as you describe. Offcourse, he was not as good as in his prime, but that's normal thing. He outscored Giovinazzi by quite big margin and haven't finished just in few races. Mazepin, Latifi or Tsunoda is more dangerous for other drivers than Kimi.
Offcourse, we're not talking about Kimi racing in Mercedes. It sounds more like a joke.
2839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HANDBALL EHF EURO 2022 Discussion thread on: January 28, 2022, 11:48:26 PM
I'm curious, did anyone took Spain or Sweden wins? Both semifinals ended with underdog wins.
Indeed, France - Sweden was crazy game. As said, 67 goals in semifinal game is something that you won't see for long. And that Sweden goalkeeper save on last seconds which let them to win.
Spain - Denmark also wasn't bad game. Spain were leading almost whole 2nd half and achieved deserved win. And my under bet got passed.

Being Cheap Afghan worker isn't enough to be hired. How someone can hire you when we have no idea what you can do and what's your skills. If you really need work and money, you should specify what exactly you can do.
And agree with post above, maybe it's not best idea to call yourself with such name as you did. Don't understimate yourself. Your time and skills is valuable thing.
