1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: May 02, 2024, 08:50:13 PM
Wow, it's unexpected that Olympiacos destroyed Barcelona so easy when previous games were so close. 17-0 run in 1st half decided game and it looked that Barca gave up early, already thinking about Game 5.
We will have game 5 between Panathinaikos and Maccabi too. In 4th quarter there was moment when it looked that Maccabi controls the game and will win this series. But in the end, PAO took control over and won the game.
Euroleague playoffs couldn't be better than this. Now we only need Game 5 between Monaco and Fenerbahche.

I had a discussion with a colleague the other day about Euroleague and how uneventful it is. Let me explain...
He claimed that since it's a closed league, it's in their interest to participate in some minor match fixing so they earn more from tv rights and licenses. For example, with matches at this stage running at a best of three, if any team was to win within the first three matches, it would have left the last two matches never played with their opponent already knocked out.

-snip-
I don't want to believe in similar conspiracy theories. And AFAIK, money from TV rights doesn't belongs on how many games they play, they have fixed contracts

Yesterday it was 30 years since Ayrton Senna died, for me he was one of the greatest of all time, I always watched the races to see him, it was all very sad... Is anyone here from Senna's time? he was incredible, especially driving in the rain.
Nope, I wasn't even born back then. But saw many movies, videos about him. It was such tragic weekend, don't forget that day before Roland Ratzenberger died in tragic crash. Senna wanted to honour him as Austrian flag was found in his car...
It was such wild and such dangerous times in F1. And despite that safety level since improved unbeleavable, we still have tragic crashes happening...

Adrian Newey leaving is a terrible terrible news for Red Bull, because there will be the famous 2026 changes, and when that happens they will need a car that is amazing, and Newey is by far the best designer in the world, without him they are not going to build a car that is great.

If it is all about just money, then Aston Martin has a very rich owner, and he is willing to get his son as much chances as possible, father stroll already hired bunch of engineers from red bull to have a decent car, if he could get Newey as well then I am assuming that with 2026 changes then even Aston Martin could end up with the best car and it wouldn't be a shock. Plenty of teams have changes when you look at regulation changes, so it is all going to be a surprise to us all.
Before leaving Red Bull he is going to work on RB17 hypercar, so, it's not that he will be free very soon.
Somehow I don't see him in Aston Martiin. Stroll is rich, but I think it's not just about money. And I'm concerned about Red Bull. Yeah, we all hate such dominance, but it would be sad if  they will collapse after so much efforts and successful seasons.

Many countries seem to do that for the sake of awareness about the damage it can be done to our inner organs by the continuous consumption of tobacco smoke. Here in Venezuela, it is not only oictures of damaged lungs, our authorities have gone ever further than including pictures of tumors and destroyed teeth embedded on the cigarette packages. Though, the tax of tobacco seems to be relatively low here, since people continues to smoke regardless of the accumulated prices though the months.

By the way, I am sorry for what happened to your grandfather. It seems there is people who truly are willing to through some of their time in earth for the sake of satisfying their craving for nicotine. Hopefully he did not suffer much from that disease...
I had a family member (sister of my grand mother) who also liked to smoke much and she even liked to smoke with the lit extreme of the cigarette inside her mouth. I never understood such a thing.
Yeah, here we also have such images. And now it looks unrealistic that a bit over than 20 years it was all OK to advertise cigarettes on TV. We all probably remember these ads with Marlboro cowboy Smiley
About my grandpa, in general it was all not so bad, until final month, when his health started getting worse each day. At least he didn't had to suffer for long. I still remember buying him last pack of cigarettes...
IMO, here cigarettes is still too much affordable. I think it costs  less than $5 for pack. Something like $15 would make you think twice before buying. Offcourse, then there would be another raising problem with smuggling.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: May 01, 2024, 08:40:02 PM
Oh, I already thought that Baskonia can win this game and not end series 3:0. But Real is Real, similar like in football. It was enough for them to play 1.5 good quarters to win game and reach Final 4 in shortest possible way.

We did it!  Smiley  We managed to win home in Game 3 to lead the series by 2-1. As we are the seeded team we have a valuable advantage in our hands from now on. Even if this series extends to Game 5 I believe in my team to defeat Monaco to reach Final Four stage.
Congrats! Even tough 78 points doesn't looks something special, this game was about defense. It's one of lowest scoring games for Monaco this season. When Monaco made a run in 4th quarter, Fenerbahche managed to respond. And finally, at least one game without any contraversies, unlike yesterday
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: May 01, 2024, 08:11:12 PM
Came in here because I had a mild shock today, opening my livescore app and seeing Cremonese playing -- only to remember that they were relegated last season and it's just a whole bunch of Serie B games. Also, didn't even realise Inter had already won! Times have really changed for me that I find out an entire week later and forget who the teams are even in Serie A.

Parma seem set for Promotion... and then a whole list of teams below I don't care much about. Just please don't get Sampdoria in again...

I'm still in with a shout on this pool, 4 games to go. I can do it!
Parma promotion happened 1 season too late. Last season they were so close too, but lost in promotion playoffs and after season legendary Gigi Buffon decided to retire at 45.
Why so negative about Sampdoria? Cheesy Personally for me this team makes good memories from 15-20 years ago, not followed them much recently.
I'm stuck in 15th place, like most part of season. Though, with 324 points which I have, I would bbe 3rd in La Liga pool. Probably it shows that this league is more predictable in general.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Smoking addiction in the society on: May 01, 2024, 07:08:38 PM
In the reply you replied to, you can see that I am writing about how they may know the dangers but may not know to what extent the danger is (probably because they always wake up the next day). For instance, if a doctor told a smoker that his lungs are so damaged that one more cigarette, he’d be dead, I can guarantee you that the addiction will vanish because now he knows that it’s to the extent his life would be gone in the next try.
As already said, most of them know about damage made by cigarettes. I really doubt that words like that one more cigarette could be last one would stop him. Now in my country on package of cigarettes there is images of damaged lungs or something similar, not sure how much it helps.
Probably they don't stop as long as they feel ok and don't get lung cancer. Though, my grandpa even with lung cancer didn't stoped smoking almost until his final days...
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2024, 08:52:03 PM
Even tough I predicted draw for this game, not really happy with outcome. In 1st half Real scored from onemoment that they had, in 2nd half Bayern already entered with different energy and scored 2 fast goals and it looked thatthey control the game But Real is Real. Factthat Atletico Madrid remains only team this season who managed to beat them says a lot...

About the Superbru issue, is like arall say above me, is only a momentary issue from Superbru when so much people are trying to enter or check the site.
Usually it happens after end of some big games, not before it. But it's good warning that we shouldn't wait until last minute to submit predictions.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: April 30, 2024, 08:38:12 PM
Euroleague playoffs is back to action with 3rd games of series. Maccabi continue to play without Baldwin, but so far it wasn't big problem. It was another great game, it looked that Maccabi can win easier as they were leadingalmost whole game, but in the end PAO made comeback. Despite it, Maccabi survived and lead series 2:1
Didn't saw much from Olympiacos - Barcelona game as my attention was on UCL semifinal. It was another very close game. It's incredible how Barca survived in 4th quarter after Olympiacos run, mainly with Abrines 3-pointers. And then in overtime Oly lost game in most stupid possible way - foul on last second. I think it may be crucial game in series.

I would like to think that the site is doing so well that they have neglected the forum because they are so busy with other tasks. Although I am not justifying it, the truth is that it does not give a good image, but a site that has worked so well for so long and must have earned so much money I find it hard to think that suddenly it is because of economic problems or something.
Abandon forum wouldn't be concerning if everything actually would be going very well with Freebitco.in. Then there wouldn't be such long delay with winners announcement. Or as said above, it's almost impossible to get reply from their support. Though, I'm not implying that they have financial problems or something similar.
Back in the day Freebitco.in was like example how service should communicate. Now they turned into huge corporation which is afar away from their customers.

BTW, TheQuin was active in the forum today. But he hasn't said anything about the withdrawal delay complaints and about the Lamborghini draw delay. The silence of TheQuin is a bit odd here while he is the only hope for the updates.
Damn, they still haven't published Round 10 Lambo winner? Such things doesn't looks good.
TheQuin is quiet for a long time, not sure what's going on behind the curtains, but something definitely isn't ok.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: April 29, 2024, 05:51:57 PM
Well, I just read this Reddit post discussing hidden meaning in the Eurovision entry from Greece .  Honestly pretty intriguing stuff - I'm a sucker for Eurovision songs that make you think beyond just boppin' your head to a catchy beat and  seems a lot of times the straight up pop bangers take the cake, but this Greek tune is sparking some neat discussions apparently.  Makes me curious if this Zari track might shock people! Cause in Eurovision, heck - wild things can happen outta nowhere.  Wink

I like when songs have hidden message, but I'm not really sure that it may help. If you look at average Eurovision viewers knows these details, most of them here song for the first time and then vote. It's more about hardcore fans.
Now looked at odds, it's changed a bit since I checked last time. Switzerland is ranked highest, personally don't like it at all.
But I see that most contraversial entry Israel is ranked not bad, they can reach top 10. There is lot of people against them, but at the same time I think they will get quite a lot support.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: April 29, 2024, 05:40:10 PM
Congratulations, you were right in your prediction, both teams scored and the game had 4 goals. It was a game in which Porto started very well, scored the first goal, caused danger to Sporting's defense and in the 1st half Porto scored the second goal and they came out of the 1st half winning without conceding a goal. I confess that I really thought that the game was already won and that in the 2 half all the port needed to do was continue playing as well as they were doing in the 1 half. When the 85th minute arrived I immediately thought that the game would end with Porto's victory, because Porto were winning the game by 2 goals. But I was shocked when I saw Sporting's goal in the 86th minute and in less than 1 minute Sporting scored the second goal, the Porto coach's irritation was visible on the field. With this draw from Sporting, I think Sporting is champion. I no longer see any remaining team being able to make Sporting lose points. Gyokeres was Sporting's hero in the game against Porto
I already thought that I lost my bets because for 85 minutes Sporting played poor game and didn't had any moments in whole game. But then, I have no words. This probably summarizes Porto season and why they're 18 points behind Sporting. Still, don't get why Gyokeres was realeased only after substitution.
If there was doubts about Sporting becoming champions, now it's all clear. 3 rounds remaining and they're playing against weak teams.

In the end had over 4200 tickets, but as always, ended without nothing. Now I see that 5 users who had less tickets than me won something this round. Well, maybe one day...

South Korea and Thailand have announced that they will apply to the FIA to have a grand prix in their countries. An emissary will go to analyze the projects and decide on any candidature.
I hope it's not city circuits. South Korea had  their track on calendar over than decade ago. Are they going to use same track. Somehow it didn't stuck in my memory very well, I just remember it was in the middle of nowhere.

Nico Hülkenberg has already been announced by Kick Sauber F1 team for the 2025 season!  Smiley

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/04/27/rHjSa.png

If it is true, Bottas and Zhou are both out of the team by the end of this season. One of their members has been decided by this signing but we don't know who Hülkenberg's teammate will be there.

Yeah, Hülkenberg might sign for Audi maybe later but at least for one season we will watch him at Kick Sauber. While there is an opening at Haas maybe we might see Bearman being given a chance, what do you think?  Smiley
We are all waiting for confirmation about Sainz signing Audi, so, these news a bit unexpected. But logical choice, experienced driver who can give feedback about car for new team. Maybe he can even get his first career podium here if things will go as planned.
BTW, there is some rumours from David Croft that Gasly is negotiating with Williams, while Zhou can go to Alpine.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France russia war soon on: April 28, 2024, 07:47:00 PM
First of all, according toresources like Loyce.club or BPIP, your main account Polo7 is banned:
https://loyce.club/profile.html?id=2640926
Now you're evading band and most likely your return won't be long.
Now back to the topic, in recent months it's notfirst topic about possible war between Russsia and France. But IMO, it's biggest nonsense for a while, I don't see any arguments why it could happen. If you would say that Russia can start war with Finland, Baltic states or Finland, it would sound more realistic.

Quote
Ukraine will be stay with west ...but probably finland will go to russian ownership.
Oh really, I always thought that Russia will be all over the Europe, from Moscow to Lisbon.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: April 28, 2024, 07:39:15 PM
With that, I immediately became hopeful that Benfica would come out victorious in this game. But the minutes of the game were passing and I didn't see any more goals, when the 84th minute of the game arrived and Benfica scored the second goal, I was convinced that Benfica would win this game. Then came the red card for the Braga player and in my opinion the referee acted very well in giving the red card.

The Braga player put emotions into the game and because of his anger he committed an unnecessary foul:

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/04/27/rZmCc.png

When a player has this type of attitude, it hurts the whole team, with the expulsion of the brada player because of his bad attitude, it made it easier for Benfica to score the third goal. Also the Braga player will not play in the next game. Now Benfica needs to pray for Sporting to lose tomorrow and in the next game and Benfica would have to win in all the next games if they want to be champions. It is still possible for Benfica to dream of the title  Grin
If to look just at final score, it may look like easy game for Benfica, but actually it was so complicated as Benfica only took a lead on 85 minute. That red card and hard fould only show frustration of Braga player when his team is losing. Fortunately Di Maria wasn't injured because it could have ended much worse.
Watched about of Vitoria Guimaraes - Boavista yesterday. Wasn't most exciting game, red card didn't let Boavista to fight for positive result. While Guimaraes is still fighting for place in UEFA tournament.
Porto - Sporting already started, went witg BTTS and over 2.5 goals. Sporting can make another step towards title, while Porto needs win to get ahead of Braga. A bit strange that Gyokeres is left on bench.

Wow! I can't believe LTU lost his duel on penalties despite having more attempts, but it's seems to be huge blessing in disguise for me, as I've gotten a point lead over my new opponent already with the tennis question, and there is just a single question difference between us after that which is RB Leipzig vs Dortmund where I have a goal in each half and he does too, only difference is I'm with over 3.5 goals, while he went with under... Anything other than that is next round for me  Cheesy
Painful defeat and my performance in cup ends as early as possible. Anyway, as I already said, my main focus this season is fight for promtion. Now I will have few empty weeks, so, probably will have to look for opponents for some friendly games.

I am not sure what to think of Nadal's win, but he clearly wanted to make up for his loss against De Minaur in the last match. I can't really tell where to put De Minaur at the moment, but for Nadal, he is the kind of guy who could tremendously benefit from such a victory. He is really this dude who soaks up the energy from wins like that. Interesting things going on in Madrid. Loyal fans probably going for Nadal to win the tournament, but ya. This could be the one push he needs to be prepared for the French Open and I am looking forward to everyone's opinion here if Nadal were to win the Madrid Open. What do you think?
I'm very happy to see that Nadal still have it. But at the same time I'm a bit afraid that going far in these tournaments before French Open could lead to injuries. He had so many of it and now his body is like made from glass. 2024 French Open could be his Last Dance, so, I want to see him going as far as possible. Winning it would be like a dream.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: April 27, 2024, 06:41:37 PM
Well the final four location is decided before the season even starts, at least that's what I think.

The last 2 years the final 4 was hosted in Spain ( Bilbao and Malaga ) so it's obvious they can't bring it back to Spain for the 3rd year in a row.  Cheesy

Anyway, just watched the recaps of the games and to be honest, they were not too exciting, haha. Both the favourites won so, that's what it is. We will see a battle of the Spanish "best of the rest" in this one.

Nope, it was actually decided just about month ago, so, such location is even more strange:
https://www.eurohoops.net/en/fiba-champions-league/1647806/basketball-champions-league-final-four-2024-belgrade-serbia/
Back to the basketball, it's getting boring that this tournament is dominated by mediacore (with all respect) Spanish teams. In the final I will support Unicaja, it would be their 1st trophy. On the other hand, you can't not love Marcelinho Huertas who being 40 years old become MVP of whole tournament.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: April 26, 2024, 11:30:54 PM
Barcelona - Olympiacos and Monaco - Fenerbahche both series is tied 1:1. You couldn't ask anything better from playoffs.
After halftime it looked that Monaco have no chance to win, their 3rd quarter was so poor, but 4th quarter was already complete opposite. Would be very surprised if this series will end before game 5 because we see fight of same level teams.
Barcelona - Olympiacos, today we already saw different kind of energy and intensity from Barca than in Game 1. They showed some elite defence tonight.

Does anyone follow BCL Final 4? Both semifinals were great, but favorites Tenerife and Unicaja won. But for me it doesn't makes sense, why they make Final 4 in Belgrade when there is 3 Spanish and 1 Greek teams is playing and nothing what could be interesting for locals.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does your Sig-Camp Manager counts gambling posts that moved to off topic on: April 26, 2024, 07:03:45 PM
Personally, I haven't noticed did any of my posts were moved to Off-topic and actually, I'm not really bothered about it. If you're concerned about your campaign, I suggest you to ask your campaign manager. But IMO, there shouldn't be a question. If campaigns clearly states that they're not paying for posts in Off-topic, you shouldn't expect to get paid for posts that were moved. No matter that you originally posted it in Gambling board. Well, unless posts were moved already after you got paid.
