It is to avoid bots.

It is, but only captcha doesn't stop them, SMF is using very old captcha and today's spamming software like xrumer are very advanced, they can bypass mail registration and recaptcha easily.

In my opinion theymos should use something like this  areyouahuman.com  (it's not currently available for SMF)

I have never had a more difficult to read set of captcha images! I must have attempted to answer 8 times, and the "new image" link didn't help at all as it just shifted the image a few pixels to the right.

I understand the need to stop bots but a better captcha is definitely needed. One that is actually somewhat human readable would be nice.

I Agree with you, i said this in simplemachine's community before and they also agreed that it sucks.

Paper wallets are also safe and people don't need to buy a special pendrive for live OS. They can easily burn it on their existing pen drive.

I wasn't aware. Time to change the price lol. I'll make it $7 PayPal, 0.08 btc.

That's a reasonable price, goodluck for sales.

Hello Subvolatil,

Thanks for the reply. When I initially setup the wallet on my iphone I was not asked to pair the device at any point. It was just a simple download of the blockchain wallet. It was in use for the last 4 months (with no problems) until a few days ago when i tried sending the last 0.7995 btc to my new android phone wallet. During the process the Iphone would constantly hang and just not recover, and when i turn restart the phone (which was the only way to recover) all the transaction details were wiped off showing it as a new empty wallet. I tried sending 5 to 6 times but failed all attempts. So as of now it looks like a clean empty wallet with no balance and no previous transactions.

Well according to this link http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1d0155/a_brief_analysis_of_the_security_of/

blockchain's app stores wallet, identifier etc in plaintext files, and iphone backsup them on pc where itunes is installed,so if you synced your iphone you will might get your bitcoins back.

Ps: Try to contact piuk, he will help you for sure.

2838  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Who's planning to retail these USB miners in India? on: June 12, 2013, 12:22:31 PM
I don't make the prices. There are fees, taxes etc. in EU to import and export them. It was just an offer and i forced nobody to buy. However, finally i got mine and i like that little bastards.

To the prices in India i can't really tell something. But here, 1 BTC dont even nearly reaches the costs when i go out one evening with my girl, watching a film, dancing after and having some drinks Wink

I know that there are some big players in BTC, but we have enought exaples from the past what happends when the bubble burst  Roll Eyes

Thats just my oppinion, i also understand yours.

So best wishes to india and happy mining.

Well in 1 BTC an average indian can buy 1 month of food for his family,as for block erupters i don't think they will be successfull in india for mining at that price.

Current BTC rate: 110 (Price is also not stable)
Difficulty level: 15605632 (Which is rising daily)
Cost of USB : Lets say 2.5 BTC/275 USD / 15675
Earning per day : 1$ @ 300MHs

So, if someone buys it, he need to run his pc for 275 days 24x7 to get his investment back.
