Hi All,

I was wondering if any one could throw some light on recovery of lost bitcoins from apple phones I'm aware that recovery is possible but need some assistance on how. I have 0.7995 btc stuck in my blockchain wallet on my ios device.
The below transaction details are between my laptop wallet to my ios phone wallet.

Status: 9416 confirmations
Date: 27/03/2013 19:08
To:15wtAraQJfLnSrY71hx8Pa8vwZLbsqZ58f
Debit: -1.00 BTC
Net amount: -1.00 BTC
Transaction ID: c8a0f45a45581ec0dbce41cc71b49cc60540cf599ee05ad19fc0cbe2509c4483

From my ios phone I made a payment of 0.2 btc with a transcation fee of 0.0005 which was successfully completed, however the remaining 0.7995 btc is what I'm unable to retrieve. Just to be clear the address of the wallet from which Im unable to recover the btc from is 15wtAraQJfLnSrY71hx8Pa8vwZLbsqZ58f which is the address of the wallet on my ios phone. Any information /help is highly appreciated.

Many thanks and kind regards

If its  a  blockchain.info wallet on you  phone   why  dont  you  try  to  access the  website  using  your Identifier, i bet  you  have  paired  your  device   with your account.

Hello Subvolatil,

Thanks for the reply. When I initially setup the wallet on my iphone I was not asked to pair the device at any point. It was just a simple download of the blockchain wallet. It was in use for the last 4 months (with no problems) until a few days ago when i tried sending the last 0.7995 btc to my new android phone wallet. During the process the Iphone would constantly hang and just not recover, and when i turn restart the phone (which was the only way to recover) all the transaction details were wiped off showing it as a new empty wallet. I tried sending 5 to 6 times but failed all attempts. So as of now it looks like a clean empty wallet with no balance and no previous transactions.

Well according to this link http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1d0155/a_brief_analysis_of_the_security_of/

blockchain's app stores wallet, identifier etc in plaintext files, and iphone backsup them on pc where itunes is installed,so if you synced your iphone you will might get your bitcoins back.

Ps: Try to contact piuk, he will help you for sure.
