Depending on your circumstances, however, you might find Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust a better option. Although you need to take note that there is a minimum investment. Last I read, it is around $50,000. Not to mention that there is also a certain percentage which is annually deducted from your investment.
Do they really do that? I am genuinely curious as to how and why they deduct a percentage in your investment, I assume that it is a sort of investment manager fees but I could be wrong though. 50k USD is a lot of money, I assume that what they are reeling in are serious long term investors or retirees that do not have a use for some of their retirement for awhile so they invest it to make more money. This business model of Grayscale is a pretty interesting one, I would say that it is a worth it investment as long as you have the disposable money to get in.
2822  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Up and Down how on: January 27, 2021, 06:28:28 AM
Demand is reason for increase the bitcoin price. It any time to up and down. So we can't easy to analyse the bitcoin price. Check the bitcoin price every Day. It useful to invest the bitcoin on time. Bitcoi is future digital currency. It helpful for future growth and get more information.
I think that the quote above is the only answer plausible besides bitcoin being a volatile market. There isn't anything that does not involves economics in the ups and downs of bitcoin, the need for a verified reason is enough with the basics of supply and demand.

To OP, the reason that we are buying bitcoin through the use of fiat I assume is because it was tied to fiat in the first place and you have a choice not to store your money on banks so that means that being monitored is not the banks problem because that is their job, to prevent possible laundering. Isn't not having a middle man a good thing? If you want to use bitcoin as a currency for daily transactions, you can do it but you have to understand that there isn't any big adoption for most businesses yet and we are not fooling ourselves.
2823  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I am being mercilessly scammed by somone from the bitcoin world on: January 27, 2021, 05:34:02 AM
Do NOT click on any links in the emails as they will probably attempt to load malware on your system!
Then tag them as spam so they go into your spam folder to eventually be deleted.
This is the most common theme among phishing, they try to do a social engineering attack to make you let your guard down. I think the best case is to change the email address that you typically use for personal matters and tag the emails as spams, for personal matters, I have a separate email so as to not get my things mixed up. You also have to ask yourself about this kinds of things, why would your "friend" send you money unannounced? The only way to defeat a social engineering type of attack is by thinking not with emotion.
2824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alert: stay away from new type of bitcoin scam on: January 27, 2021, 04:51:52 AM
This isn't a new type of scam, it's likely the oldest Bitcoin scam, and it works because people don't think about Bitcoin as money. I'm sure if you offered people to double their dollars, no one would send you any, everyone would understand that it's impossible, so we don't see any "dollar doublers" around, but if people view Bitcoin as some sort of digital tulip for getting rich quick, then it's understandable how they can think that someone will "double" their coins. Or maybe some complete beginners don't even know how Bitcoin works, and they think that new bitcoins are created by doubling.
That's what I thought so too, the only thing that they have changed is the part where you do not have to deposit anything to withdraw anything. I would like to refute the part that this not happen in a fiat standpoint, this type of thing is prevalent in fiat or anything, as a scammer you just need to be creative to pull it off, in my country, it is a networking scam that needs you to invest your money and they will double it in a months time and there is also that game scam in Runescape where they really double your money at the start where the amount is so small that would hook them to do more gold in the next transaction and then you will do so because you trust the person and they will scam you then and there.
2825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin had a Billion Max supply instead of 21 million.... on: January 26, 2021, 07:51:09 AM
~
Bitcoin at $33000 with the current supply at 18.6 million will have a price of $33 if the current supply is at 18.6 billion if having max supply of 21 billion.

That is just an estimate which can make you to understand how increasing supply can reduce price, the value is not exactly accurate. Some coins with low price and too much supply can be burned in order to increase the price.
That is a pretty good estimate but OP's what if number is just 1 billion. The prices will be affected in a way but the left over bitcoin that hasn't been mined yet will be inconclusive, if bitcoin still follows the same principle then mining the 21,000,001th bitcoin will take more time than 21,000,000th bitcoin which could mean that going past that point would be fruitless for miners and could mean that the market will decide that the left overs will not be of use as the mining gets more difficult so they made a pseudo supply cap that will be followed.
2826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy more Bitcoin on: January 26, 2021, 06:47:20 AM
Good opportunity to buy the dip right now if you have any spare fiat lying around. It won’t go much lower before we begin the next leg up so buy what you can now.
I don't have much fiat but I hold a considerable amount to profit big time when this thing happens. The prices will go up like the thief of the night, many would be expecting that it is a slow growth but they will be proven wrong when the time comes. Haven't heard of this company but it seems that they are a big investment manager which means that they might be a temporary investor albeit a big one but who knows, investment companies tend to not let go of their clients even though the clients wants to pull out.
2827  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is ShadeBit Exchange a Scam? on: January 26, 2021, 04:46:15 AM
Yes, because I know how much worth ETH is at the moment it was legit to ask here. I am 90% sure it's a scam but I hope to hear someone else who had the same experience as I did Smiley
Hopefully, you are the only one who have experienced this thing on this website. It is a scam 100% no need to put a slack of 10% because this is clearly a scam, unless you still have hope that the money is a real thing because it is not, I know how attractive it is but all that glitter isn't gold or in this case ethereum. There are other people here that have the same experience as you because most scams operate the same.

OP is doing his best to contact most of the channels for this casino but as far as I can see, he's doing it to no avail.
Hopefully, OP will get some response ASAP, this kind of problem with gambling sites exiting with their client's money is getting a lot of attention and I hope that that attention will be enough for this websites to give in and give the money back to their clients. I feel bad for OP because imagine doing your best efforts to get your money back but it seems that you are just shouting at the void.
2830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas (No date yet) on: January 26, 2021, 02:15:36 AM
Looking through Dasmarinas record there isn't any recognizable names. It's been almost two years since he fought someone with a winning record. That fight was an IBF eliminator against an opponent he should have beat easily but the scorecards suggest that it was a close fight.

I do not see a way in which a top pound for pound fighter like Inoue is going to be upset against this type of opponent. With covid restrictions starting to ease up in some places there is still hope that we will see an Inoue-Casimero unification by the end of the year.
Hopefully, Dasmariñas will put up a fight against Inoue, as a Filipino I support Filipino boxers but in a practical standpoint we have to consider that Inoue is a champion and an undefeated one at that. If I were to go on a bet with some locals in my country in this fight, I will definitely be siding with Inoue. We have to also consider that most Filipino boxers are aggressive when it comes to being in the ring which could be a blessing and a curse depending on how the fighter will try to take advantage of it.
2831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 26, 2021, 01:27:55 AM
That's a realistic approach, if we win we won't be greedy, if we lose we won't lose more than we can afford to lose. I don't like gamblers who always rely on luck, when they win they always aim high, not denying that sometimes it's effective but because of their greediness, time might come that they can't handle the stress anymore due to big loses.
It is realistic but it is a difficult approach. Winning a lot of money pumps your brain with chemicals and you become so ecstatic that you forget to think rationally, this is not just science, almost everyone who had fun once said that when they get to a certain point, they will stop but look at them, most of them failed to do so. Winning and losing in gambling is like the most extremes of emotions happy for winning and angry for losing, this two extremes could escalate us into becoming compulsive to the point that we forget a rational approach in things so no use hating on them, it is just who they really are.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: January 2021 — share your gambling experiences on: January 26, 2021, 12:49:01 AM
So far not good what a way to start a new year I just loss $100 from one gambling site, I will not mention the name of the site I was lucky before the end of the year so I figure I will try my luck this start of the year and see how it goes, I end up losing $100, but that's ok I could win that amount I'll be very careful and not too greedy when making a bet.
Be positive, the year is just getting started although 100 USD is a big amount of money, I don't think that you will be able to recover that kind of amount along your gambling journey, hell this might be a precedent that you will be winning big time you never know.

My January is not that exciting when it comes to gambling, I haven't played a lot during the pandemic, the times that I have were just friendly games of poker so I think that counts, no wins just fun although I got my friends drunk because they kept losing to me in poker.

If the winnings are properly and responsively invested and spent
it would set your family's lives up and the next generation also.

Its such a pity to see such a life changing event turn into a sad result.

Its very important to employ the services of a professional who is
used to dealing with clients with a high net worth.

The last thing I would be doing is creating too much attention upon
myself but I would make sure to enjoy it and make sure my family
is well looked after and my friends too.
That is what some of the people on my list did too, they prioritized family and friends to the point that they were run dry because the whole family tree wanted to get a piece of the pie even though they did not know the winner directly or have met them once. It is the best way to do in my opinion, hiding your identity to prevent instantaneous celebrity status which many aren't ready for especially those that won the lottery, they will be flocked by vultures that you call friends. Sadly, most of the winners are not financially responsible, and do not pity them, they did it unto themselves knowing the consequences.
2834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 25, 2021, 09:39:58 AM
On Instagram Ryan Garcia is claiming that he will be Manny Pacquiao's next opponent. I don't know if this is true or not. Pacquiao makes so many agreements that you can never be 100% certain of who he will fight next until there is a contract signed and a venue is booked. Ryan is probably not the best possible opponent but it is the fight that will make the most money out of all his current options.
The world is Garcia's oyster after his win with Campbell, and I just checked, it seems that the deal to fight Pacquiao was already hinted by Garcia himself in his Instagram post. I thought he wanted a shot with Gervonta Davis, he even challenged him and many seem to favor that Garcia should be on the ring with Davis. This is a good revenge story because Pacquiao made Garcia's promoter De La Hoya, let's see if a Young Cub could take on a Battle Hardened Lion. Regarding McGregor, I think that with his current defeat against Poirier, considering some matches in boxing should not be his priority, he needs the time to recuperate.

i already recognize that the stylebender sounds like the element bender on the cartoon aang the last airbender but i didnt knew that he is an anime or cartoon lover because its not noticeable on his looks , he looks tough .
There are various videos talking about him about being an anime fan in Youtube, there is also that face off with Silva where he strike a pose from a certain famous character in certain Anime, there even is an interview about the reason for striking that pose with the face off with Silva. If you also watch some of his fights, there were a part where before the start of a fight, he does a hand gesture similar to those of ninjas, he even has a tattoo combination of his favorite anime and cartoon.
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WHAT happened to GOOSEBET.IO? on: January 25, 2021, 07:57:19 AM
I have problem accessing the website. If their representative don't answer questions from you guys then it's shady already why they do that. If those complains have been for weeks.

Many will think that they'll starting to take an exit if they don't immediately resolve first, their slow loading website and next, the complains of their users. That's just sad to think about them.
They might be starting the exit as of this moment. This kind of problem with gambling website has become more prevalent, maybe the price of bitcoin has affected them as some have no way of paying because their supply is running dry, but it is still unacceptable that they play phantom with their customers/patrons, that will only make them suspicious. To OP, I think that this is the right board because you do not seem to accuse them of anything, if anything develops then might as well move this or create another one on Scam Accusations board.
2837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: January 25, 2021, 07:23:36 AM
He is a pretty good brand ambassador because he is loved by many in social media platforms, especially anime fans because he did admit multiple times that he is a fan of anime too, it is also evident with his moniker too, The Last Stylebender which is taken from the Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender for those who does not watch. Good thing that Stake.com has got Israel as an ambassador because he is a young gun fighter in the UFC scene which means that publicity that they can get from him is as fresh as it can get, you know how mainstream media flock towards the freshest story.
2838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Toronto women win jackpot lottery on: January 25, 2021, 06:39:06 AM

What about those guys who have spent a fortune on lottery tickets during the last 20-30 years and yet to win any sizeable reward? The individual mentioned here at least got lucky after trying for many decades. But we should not forget the fact that for every such individual, there are dozens out there who never get lucky. They spend all their savings on lottery tickets, only to end up broke.
But isn't that a little too crazy that they will still be playing lottery for over 20 years, that amount of money that they have wasted is still a lot. Relying on luck every day of your life is not the best thing to do in my opinion, everything is eventual. Those who spent a lot of money like this people could have used those money back then to support their life, maybe even use it to save money.
2839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 257 Main Event: McGregor vs. Poirier [Prediction and Discussion] on: January 25, 2021, 05:57:29 AM
Why everyone is silent here? Still you guys can't digest the fact that McGregor got knocked out? Anyone who made a bet in favor of Poirier would have won a fortune. I would love to see Dustin Poirier taking on Khabib Nurmagomedov next, but in all probability Khabib is not coming out of his retirement. BTW, Jake Paul has put up a few tweets mocking McGregor. I hope he will do the same to Logan Paul, after he gets all his teeth knocked out by Floyd.
I did side with Poirier on this one, I compared their fighting styles and most articles says that Poirier's style seems to be the dominant one. Khabib is meeting Dana White, I think that it will be a good indicator that a fight will be happening, they just need a lot of money for Khabib to come out like how Mayweather does. Those tweets is just shouting into the void in my opinion, mocking someone that you want to challenge does not make you stronger than the guy that you want to challenge, maybe they should have a taste of fighting the octagon if they really want McGregor.
2840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: January 25, 2021, 05:07:26 AM
The Bill Morgan part to be clear, he didn't die of heart attack after winning the lottery, it is the other way around. He was pronounced clinically dead for 15 minutes if I am right and then he miraculously lived, seeing this as an opportunity for miracle, he tried his luck in lottery winning the money then he became a sensational story in the country and he was invited to a show where he was told or requested to reenact the whole situation and he won another lottery, this time it was a car. People dying because of sudden win is very unusual case but there are instances where the people suffer from Sudden Wealth Syndrome.
