2001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: May 05, 2021, 02:55:07 AM
Investing for something that doesn't quite exist yet like your future kids isn't really a good thing, think of your future first before thinking about the others. I would just go with bitcoin as an investment for the future because it does the work and it has been proven that it can reach heights that not many coins hasn't reached yet.
2002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's nice to be back again on Bitcoin @50,000$ on: May 04, 2021, 11:23:25 AM
It's good that your past self did the right thing and just let your bitcoin stay there and now look at you, you are making bank because you probably have a lot of bitcoin left that you have sold right now that the prices are higher than the time that you last left it off.
2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Munger hating on bitcoin on: May 04, 2021, 10:32:28 AM
Well, they are boomers, of course they are going to be really adamant to their beliefs that the new thing is not a good thing and that the newer generations didn't suffer like them. I say that we let them say anything they want because at the end of the day, they are just words.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High transaction fees on: May 04, 2021, 09:57:31 AM
Hey guys. Bitcoin Lightning (NO shitcoin!) is what you need. Electrum wallet supports it btw
I don't get why people are still sleeping on LN, it is a promising one for bitcoin. It might be the soltuion that we had been looking for a long time and we just didn't bother checking it out.
2005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many more years our bitcoins will be save from quantum supercomputer on: May 04, 2021, 09:19:23 AM
If we can buy quantum computers as a Personal computer then we can probably safely assume that our bitcoins is going to be not safe in terms of security but it will be difficult for quantum computer to brute force bitcoin no matter how fast we can imagine it.
2006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin no longer relevant? on: May 04, 2021, 08:39:45 AM
Name an altcoin that actually has at least a small chance into taking over and replacing Bitcoin. I'll wait.

As for Ethereum, they aren't even in the same category. Both are trying to do different things.
OP thinks that Ethereum can replace just because these cryptocurrency are surging lately. I guess is just spreading FUD because OP is bitter that he/she didn't profited a lot from bitcoin so OP tries to tell others that bitcoin is bad so OP will have some people to share misery with.
2007  Other / Off-topic / Slapping Tournament on: May 04, 2021, 07:55:44 AM
I was watching my favorite streamer MoistCr1tikal doing a side commentary on a Slapping Tournament, and what caught my eye was that it was sponsored by Totalbet, which means that it is a viable betting although I find it easy to bet if you have prior knowledge about who slaps the hardest. Are there any betting site that has this for betting?
2008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: May 04, 2021, 05:42:42 AM
I doubt that's the mentality of most gamblers, I believe most of the gamblers are responsible enough and have the basic knowledge that it's always impossible to get rich in gambling. Maybe they like to earn fast money as gambling can provide that if you are lucky, but they know they would not make it in the long run, unless a gambler himself is exceptional who can make a living in gambling, well, that's my dream though.
You haven't met a lot of gamblers then because contrary to you almost all the people that I knew during my gambling days are now either drowning in debt or are hiding from the loan sharks and in one case got killed. So I disagree with you about that part about gamblers being responsible.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez - May 22 on: May 04, 2021, 04:54:17 AM
~

And Josh also has this uncanny ability to slip down when someone is throwing left hook on him and then he deliver a counter right hook. Ramirez though I would say has a good chin, so he will be chin tested by Josh. And it's going to be a battle of body shots, but I will give the edge to Josh, his liver shot might not be the best, but still very effect if it hits you right on the spot, you will go down and it is going to hurt.
Yeah, I have checked some tapes of his highlights and I cement my faith that Josh is going to be the one that will cause the first loss of Ramirez.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manga Betting on: May 04, 2021, 04:04:34 AM
The same with One Piece, another popular manga.

But the twist goes for those who will have a match up. For example: Basil Hawkins versus X-Drake or so as the latest arc is now in Wanokuni.

The usual thing we know in manga and series', we know that it's most of the time the main character wins.
That's the problem, they have a plot armor of some sort so I understand why it isn't good for a large scale betting, it's more of a your friend bet on who wins in the match in the manga.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez - May 22 on: May 04, 2021, 03:02:24 AM
I watch a couple of fights and even i think Josh Taylor has the advantage coming into this fight and he will be a decent favorite in this match up in the eyes of the bookies as well. In one of the fights i have seen Jose Ramirez getting out boxed by his opponent and looking at the fighting style of Josh Taylor he could do that but he needs to gauge his range rather than brawling and it all depends upon how he approaches the fight.
I have seen the stats and I gotta agree with you, Josh is a Southpaw compared to Ramirez who is an Orthodox which is problematic for Ramirez since Josh can deliver right hooks faster than Ramirez although they are both equal in terms of height, I think the style will decide who wins.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manga Betting on: May 03, 2021, 01:43:26 PM
There a lot of manga fans, so the possibility that people would like to bet on an outcome is definitely there. I am a huge Manga fan myself, but didn't read RoR yet. Maybe you want to try and give odds here on the forum and see if some users will take your bet.

My recommendation for another bet: When is the third Season of One Punch Man coming out? 2021, 2022, 2023 or never?
I guess anything could be betted on. But I lean more on making sure that it is accessible and can be read since Kengan Omega releases its chapters weekly so we can easily know who will win or will it be draw. I wouldn't hope for a One Punch Man third season look how long it took for a season 2, your opponent with the bet might've forgotten about the bet when the Season 3 is released. I recommend that you read Records of Ragnarok, it's literally Man versus Gods in a MMA style arena.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manga Betting on: May 03, 2021, 12:35:24 PM
Technically, NO but it's no different when betting on Oscars, International Pageants, etc. where someone who has the authority already knows the result.

Regardless, it's up to you if you want to bet on that if there's an open betting on it.

Do you see some crypto-gambling sites offering betting on that?
I want it more of like a personal/informal betting, this is a weird betting and I don't think that there is any site that is going to list that. Kind of like how you are trying to predict who wins and the one who predicts right wins the bet.
2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Manga Betting on: May 03, 2021, 11:53:56 AM
I was reading Kengan Omega and Records of Ragnarok and I think that it can be used for potential betting because the story is ongoing and it is a fight which means that we can put our bets on who wins or whether the round is a draw. RoR has a predetermined roster though so you can only bet on who wins the match and no in-between since it is a fight to the death. Does anyone think that it can be a good idea to bet on the fights that only the writers know who will win?

Edit: I didn't mean a large scale betting it is more of an informal, like how you do a bet with your friends and nothing more than that.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 10 casino sites on: May 03, 2021, 10:49:42 AM
he didnt provide any links and we are not sure if the 777 casino above is the same casino in my signature 777coin.com .
Exactly, the only one that I know of is that casino but besides that the others aren't familiar, maybe they are not crypto casinos so that might be the reason why a lot of them are unknown to me or the others.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: May 03, 2021, 09:13:45 AM
I have noticed that once we've got a loss, in our mind always chasing and try to recover it, it's better to have a break and come back when you are ready again.
That's normal, our species is a possessive one so whenever something is lost to us, we few something somber or sad that we want to get it back, if you are feeling this it is a normal thing to happen, what your action towards it will be the difference maker.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: May 03, 2021, 07:17:59 AM
I'm checking the internet for full confirmation of the fight but the latest one is what we have five days ago come from his road manager, this a done deal Pacquiao already hinted that they are leaning on a Garcia fight if Crawford deal did not push through, the Crawford deal is now off since they cannot sustain it and the best deal right now is the Mikey Garcia fight, the title of this thread has a question mark on it, until they sign the contract it will continue to be in a question mark.
I don't get how they are having a problem with this kind of decision, the money isn't enough for both sides I guess but I hope that this rumors will bear fruit because I want to see Pacquiao get in action, it has been years you know.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 25 arrested after Rab busts mini casino in Ashulia!! on: May 03, 2021, 04:47:37 AM
Louder. Governments seem to refuse to acknowledge that banning something does not mean that it wouldn't happen. Being in control is a lot better than just removing it from your life. Sure, if it was just a small scale ones like related to our personal lives (addiction to something), it's okay, but as large scale country wise? It's impossible. Honestly, at this point, the only reason I'd actually accept for countries to refuse to gamble is that they're religious-based. It's probably the only reason that doesn't make sense, but since it's religion, it does (no offense to religions btw)
That is the likely case that should happen but culture, religion and traditions gets in the way of progress. I believe that if we slowly move away from those things, we can further prosper but we also at the same time preserve it. Also, the government sometimes has benefits from making those bans instead of regulations, they might've been lobbied by companies that will benefit from the bans.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fine line between market investment and sports gambling on: May 03, 2021, 04:13:18 AM

Profit is not guaranteed,,, you can always fall victim to pure dumb luck, which is why crypto gambling is still a bit risky as you cannot have insurance to cover the unlikely scenario where lucky gamblers can wipe you out.

I know this well as a crypto investor in casino bankrolls. If lucky gamblers win big, you can wipe out years of house edge profit!
It's not that big of a deal that they are going to win big if you are a bankroll investor because it is split among all the investor, it's pretty sad if a years worth of profit is going to get wiped out.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: May 03, 2021, 03:33:15 AM

Hmm, betting into eSports may be a little tricky especially if you have little to no idea on what team you are betting one.

Personally, I have gambles most of my resources into eSports and a huge reason for that was my addiction towards computer games. I was able to analyze every team and their picks, see their recent matches, and their win-rate against certain teams so I could at least increase my chances of winning. But if you do not have any prior knowledge as to the game that you are betting on, it is like you are punching your fist in the air and hope for a win.
You just have to know the basics and you just have to be in the know as to which teams are likely to win and performs well. You are right about analysis, it's like any other sport, you have to know a little so you can do some analysis and bet.
