2821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 20, 2021, 02:21:19 PM
If you are capable of doing these things (some people are) that means it is an occupation for you, I know people who have been trading for the past 3 years, dude took 30k dollars into 2 million dollars and that is his occupation, whatever he buys he buys from his capital and still managed to increase it, he quit his job and just does this full time for the past 8 months or so as well, he was in profit before that but he is now just way too rich to go to work anyway. So there are people who can do it as occupation, but that doesn't mean that everyone can do it.

Those are the lucky few though I would say,,, the majority of traders I know make some money in bullruns and then proceed to lose it all when the bubbles explode. Then they make the mistake of entering in more bankrolls, many with debt or assets they cannot afford to lose.

There is no coincidence that statistics show most traders lose money. They treat it as a job for guaranteed profits when we all know there is a large element of luck involved.
2822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden GEMS with low marketcap - big potential on: April 20, 2021, 12:38:56 PM
I'd focus on popular top altcoins instead, look at XRP and doge, they give insane amount of profits to investors, some kind of profits you can only earn through under top 20 altcoins, low market cap coins I know aren't doing this well

In the past few years I supported this concept, which is why I went into coins like WAVES and NEO,,, but anyway we shall not talk about what happens to them. XRP and DOGE I avoided to buy, if I got any it was for short term profits and DOGE anyway I would always invest back into bankrolls (as casinos).

With the price so inflated now hard to see more exposure for DOGE though.
2823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs Investing (The major differences) on: April 20, 2021, 12:07:23 PM
Trading and Investing are similar. The only difference is the length of days it will stay in the market. Trading is for a short-term stay in the market, will take only for a day some takes days. For investing, it's like staying for months to years.

The one key difference I would say is investing means buying and hodling. You also look to short or sell in trading. And trading often is not long term unlike investing. Traders stay and make charts, investors do background fundamental research,,, one is in to make profits and the other as well, but to make long term dividends in something they support and believe in.
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: April 20, 2021, 11:00:41 AM
You don't have to choose, why not do all the other ones, then talk about them on Steemit to earn money. And start a TRC or Scot Bot Token.

Last I looked SBD was $9.00, last I traded it was $5.00. But if you get a $5.00 post, something like 50% of that is SBD, so if you have 2.5 SBD it is more like $20. And STEEM is like $1.20 or around there. STEEM was like $0.15 recently and was for a long time before that, it's not going back there probably.

Now is a good time to buy cheap and set up SteemAuto to follow a Curation Trail. I will write about Auto Bots and Curation Trails tomorrow or tonight.

Thanks again for the explanations,,, I have given up on Steemit a very long time ago as it did not work out for me despite putting it a lot effort and I guess mainly because the smart guys went for bots to help them and I did not. But always looking at it to reconsider going back in. I just usually prefer to do things organic and this is not my style, but thanks for the tips:)
2825  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tottenham Hotspur: Jose Mourinho Sacked on: April 20, 2021, 10:13:03 AM
I always felt deep regret at the way we treated our beloved coach. Indeed, who can do what the board expect them to? Even big Mou cannot.

Jose Mourinho has always orchestrated his own downfall wherever he goes, he's been underperforming for years now but he never faces his own squad, but rather what other managers are doing right or wrong or the whole system is against him. He'd never own up to his own flaws, perhaps he's not so special after all.

That is true,,, this guy does not like to be not the master of his own destiny so he does what he can to leave on his own terms when he knows the exit is pointed to him. Always a man to choose his own destiny no matter what. I can respect him for that. The era of mourinho and mind games no longer works,,, he has to accept this however.

Perez makes nonsense claims. How can he say young people are no longer interested in football when you can see the stands full of plastic fans for City? They made football attractive. Kids every day still play football and have their favorite jerseys on,,, world cup is still the most watched sporting event in the world.

Has he lost his bonkers?
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could ether hit 100k? on: April 20, 2021, 07:10:24 AM
I would several disagree that all alt coins have potential. 1% of alt coins have potential and of those 1%, 10% might make it. The alt coin market is flooded with copy cats all over. Most of them are launched to scam people.

Then you misunderstand what potential is. Potential simply is having something or capacity to grow into something bigger in the future. Which is true of ANY token or coin almost, except those with really just shitty token economics,,, but whether that potential can be grown? That is the 1% of alts. Scams have potential too;)
2828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin problems that need to be solved on: April 19, 2021, 02:33:53 PM

That's why say virgin blocks mined in China, have more value than btc that's been tumbled online, virgin addresses never used private-keys are more valuable.

BTC != BTC

Some animals are more equal than others.

I think this is true in any case for even cash money/fiat that is supposedly as fungible. As long as it comes from certain sources, banks and other financial institutions are not supposed to allow it to be accepted. So I think we all have to agree here, this is not REALLY a Bitcoin problem but a money problem overall.
2829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could ether hit 100k? on: April 19, 2021, 02:12:42 PM
In my opinion, it is very reasonable if etherem reaches $ 100k because etherem is a very potential altcoin ... but if the price of ETH is that high, how about the transaction fees will increase or decrease, if it does increase I think traders will leave etherem and moving to BSC, of course this is a enormous problem for ETH ,,,,

Sure,,, and in my opinion $200k is reasonable for Dogecoin as a "very potential altcoin". This is the thing people do not get about alts. They all have potential but very few will ever achieve anything remotely close to their potential. ETH is one of them yes, but $100k is still the fantasy we should give up on now. Focus on what is in front of us and that is the value we have today. Is this enough value? Is it more?
2830  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tottenham Hotspur: Jose Mourinho Sacked on: April 19, 2021, 12:57:32 PM
I think it was only a few days ago people were saying so and I was among those who said this could not happen. His mood was slightly different, he was become a bit like Mourinho of ManUtd but even this was something totally unexpected for me as a Spurs fan.

Poch will probably be smiling, not for Mourinho, he's not a bad guy, but for the people at Spurs management and board of directors. Who wants this job now honestly?

I always felt deep regret at the way we treated our beloved coach. Indeed, who can do what the board expect them to? Even big Mou cannot.
2831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: April 19, 2021, 12:03:25 PM
I'm going to show everyone what to do soon. Steemit was purchased by the Prodigie of Jack Ma of Alibaba fame. So Justin Sun made TRON, right, it's a Java Fork of an early version of ETH, so just ETH is Java. He then bought Steemit.

So, Steemit and TRON are merged.
Since TRON has TRC10 and TRC20 you can do those, launch them on Steemit, and earn TRX on Steemit as well as on TRONLink, so basically use Steemit to support a TRC Token.

Scot Bots = Steem-Engine.net Smart Media Tokens (SMTs) & DTube Clones

Interesting,,, not really my thing but I heard some people from my old Steemit group (who are now all Hive) talk about exactly like this things. TRON bridge to ETH never launched exactly and now everyone is going to BSC because they are very fast in devt,,, but I think time will tell who was right and who was wrong (although very hard for TRON to convince the naysayers now!).
2832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin almost made me rich on: April 19, 2021, 10:59:52 AM
You have learned your lesson,,, which itself is an investment well worth. You will never again put money into a ponzi, bitcoin or otherwise,,, so count your blessings. You have only lost a few years.

Less than 1% of the world owns crypto. You are still an early adopter if you start today. Think about it this way and never look back with regret:)
2833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves will replace ethereum on: April 19, 2021, 10:03:19 AM
Waves early adopter here;) I guess we are all hopeful in this crypto rally that our beloved token can see a renewal. ATH in price is good yes,,, and I always did agree that development on this platform was really always positive. Does anyone remember how awesome their original DEX lite was? and this was in 2016/7!

Imagine if they fix the problem of utility:)
2834  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - New Community Chat feature on site now!! 🚀 on: April 19, 2021, 08:47:30 AM
Arsenal single-handedly destroyed our multi magic bets, and to make matters worse, the other three matches all came through. The Gunners ruined my promo betbuilder when all i wanted was one yellow card from them, pfff where is Xhaka when you need him the most? lol

It's a pity Southampton didn't make it to the FA Cup final, but considering their recent form, it's not surprising. Hope you guys had a better betting weekend than i did.  Smiley

Arsenal ruined it for a lot of us but I think this time we should blame VAR,,, I think this is another shoelace incident that is offside! But yes, Manchester United came to win late and AC Milan needed own goal, and Lazio were in fine form to score FIVE goals.

Arsenal of course had to ruin it for us:)

Leicester-Chelsea it is. I went for a very small odds in this game of Over 2.5 bookings so I won a small consolation,,,
2835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to appreciate the DIP. on: April 19, 2021, 06:50:54 AM
People are people so what you can expect from them is that they only want green charts every day,,, they have no sense of economics, in that supply and demand, there is always a buyer and always a seller.

Let it be,,, let the people panic and do what they need to do. Markets need this kind of action, otherwise it is not healthy:) Appreciating the dip every single day;)
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experiment - Doubling small stake for big gains on: April 19, 2021, 06:07:30 AM
Sorry to see that your very first bet failed, and in fact on the very first leg. This was a super sure game. West Ham flying and scoring like nobody else and versus a team that finds it so hard to score. Penalty cancelled out own goal but this was not to be. Oh well,,, good luck and keep trying as they say:)
2837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 18, 2021, 02:50:16 PM
Transfer rumours:

There is "a growing belief" at Tottenham that manager Jose Mourinho will not be at the club next season, with Spurs struggling to secure a Champions League place for the 2021-22 campaign. Mourinho's fate seems to have been decided by a shocking defeat from Dinamo in the European League and the failure to win a place in the Champions League next season.
France midfielder Paul Pogba wants £500,000-a-week to sign a new deal with Manchester United, while Real Madrid, Paris St-Germain and Juventus have also been told of the 28-year-old's wage requirements if they want to sign him. A new transfer saga around Pogba seems to be waiting for us again  Cheesy
Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, 30, plans to join Barcelona in the summer because he wants to play alongside Lionel Messi and Netherlands team-mate Memphis Depay. It looks like several very important players could leave Liverpool at the end of this season, including Salah, Mane...

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/56771502

Yea,,, can sort of feel that mood at my club right now actually. The way Jose was talking at the end of his Man United career is now showing some of the signs at Spurs. Not totally toxic and negative but you can feel it coming.

Salah and Mane both leaving are big rumors though. I doubt they will leave the club that loves them back! Where would they go to now anyway?

2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Forget about ETH Era, We are on BINANCE Era right now!!! Long Live BSC!!! on: April 18, 2021, 01:27:17 PM
Maybe you have idolized BNB, and I think it's too hasty.  BSC has been launched recently.  With a simple, hype-like appearance with the bred platform, the BNB looks like the cradle of clone.  Lol.  Although BSC has great backing, it will take a long time to be trusted as ETH did and create a similar link.  Let's wait and see, buddy! Cheesy

Loads of people have. Just check out the Telegram channels for BSC or Twitter,,, people are proving that things are wrong and are centralized with Binance products but they get attacked for spreading FUD.

People are totally blinded. Just saying dude,,, stake your cake and BNB and earn non stop round the clock:)
2839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT keeps getting better on: April 18, 2021, 11:47:27 AM
my hope is for usdt to sort their loopholes or shortcomings and be transparent about their dealings.
I think they already sort it out I guess. They paid some fine probably just like xrp did but come one this one is so easy provided they are printing a lots of usdt. The announcement or rumors on kusama and dot blockchain is one of the biggest positive news for tether. Maybe some will change their view about it eve though a little.

I would never hold my breath for these things. Tether is highly centralized and they would never want to change the way they do things. Especially not if they could be found guilty of manipulation and cheating and yet only get away with a fine of a few millions when they have made billions and continue to do so.

Why need to change a good business model right?
2840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experiment - Doubling small stake for big gains on: April 18, 2021, 11:03:16 AM
Parlaying does not increase your odds of winning in the long run.

You could always get lucky and win some crazy ticket (unlikely, since you seem to be doing 2-3x odds anyway and nothing in the neighbourhood of 100+x), but at the end of the day your EV is always going to be negative. In fact, your EV becomes progressively worse the more legs you take on on your parlay.

This is an instance where even if empirical evidence suggests that a strategy like this could be profitable, the hard maths still make it unfeasible.

I always wondered about this as well and from my own experience, I have not won more or less doing a lot of singles or a single parlay.

But I do see the point of value in parlays,,, many sites give you extra bonus for many multi legs. For example sports bet gives 5% boost on 5-legs, and it goes up every extra leg. The same as nitrogen I believe. So if you are sure of 5 games, why not?
