According to The Guardian UKThere are no reports of how much the compensation payout will be but he earned around £12 million a year ($15-$16 million) therefore Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is going to have to divert needed funds from elsewhere. the timing is very suspicious because all of the attention would have been going to Tottenham for signing up to be a Founding Club of the European Super League and this sacking would have been used as a distraction and nothing more. Look how far Mourinho has fallen. Once he was the most chased after football manager in the world but he will never reach those heights again. He was once upon a time a self-proclaimed Special One but that was almost 18 years ago.... today Mourinho is a failed coach who is living on his past reputation whereas others have surpassed him. Who in their right mind would take him on when he has no clue about how to manage his players?

Yes, he used to be a coach, a talented strategist. But not now. All that he brought to the team was only severe failures. It's true when you say that he is living only on his past reputation, football is a top-notch strategy game alongside excellent players, but Mourinho's strategy is long ago outdated, he has no way to innovate. Looking at what the team shows, nothing new, nothing special. Remember how long it has been since he was no longer on the top of the grandeur of the C1 arena? that was 10 years ago. I wonder what this strategist's analogy will be like in the coming years
Is gambling related?

What on earth? I did not see this coming in a hundred years. Was so aware that his name had come up a few times but this is kind of unexpected to say the least, I guess they aren't expecting them to even compete in Europe next season or what?
Poch will probably be smiling, not for Mourinho, he's not a bad guy, but for the people at Spurs management and board of directors. Who wants this job now honestly?

It's quite unfortunate for Jose Mourinho, he gave his all to Tottenham Hotspur, but football fortune ran out of him this time around. Before his arrival to Hotspur, so many fans especially me warned Jose Mourinho shouldn't sign to any English team any more because of this reason, his tactics are well known in English premier league. Jose Mourinho is a legend coach though, this is the first time his going trophy less in a season throughout his coaching career. Although, Hotspur should have given him more time than embarrassing him this period. There are some other clubs that trust his work, and I think Bayern Munich will likely be in need of him after which Hans-Dieter Flick confirm his leave at the end of the season., what do you think about this.?

I think it was only a few days ago people were saying so and I was among those who said this could not happen. His mood was slightly different, he was become a bit like Mourinho of ManUtd but even this was something totally unexpected for me as a Spurs fan. Poch will probably be smiling, not for Mourinho, he's not a bad guy, but for the people at Spurs management and board of directors. Who wants this job now honestly?
I always felt deep regret at the way we treated our beloved coach. Indeed, who can do what the board expect them to? Even big Mou cannot.

as would Elon said, from the retrospect, it was inevitable there was something going on, Tottenham results are far from good and their ambitions, and they had to change something, with Murinho as obvious choice
hopefully, they will continue in this manner, so that Everton could see European competition next year, since my team is also playing on a low level lately, namely did not won over Tottenham last weekend though play until the end of the season

I think Mourinho is not the special one from a long time now.His time was a few years ago when he won Champions League titles. The biggest achievement of his career is with Inter in Italy in 2010 when he won Serie A,Italian Cup and the Champions League in the same year. From then he has only seen downfalls.

It's normal , people loose their touch after a time , I do believe that he would still her jobs in small teams or might coach on a private basis. This would mean he can continue earning and can even stay away from the limelight. We have seen a lot of examples over the years , that's just how it goes. But shouldn't they have made this decision earlier ? Literally not even a week before finals and they decided to sack him. They did already know how it's gonna go then should have Invested more in the first place. The guy is getting a compensation package worth 20 millions , what else could be done ? It's all good for him right now. I think they did it because of the pressure from joining the super league and they thought the team needed something better. Let's see how their decision affects everything.

Yes, the news is currently excited about Tottenham sacking Jose Mourinho, I am a little curious about Mourinho's dismissal, Tottenham immediately evaluate the new manager 'Ryan Mason'.
Does this have anything to do with the European Super League, until Mourinho's dismissal, I saw Tottenham in the top 12 club of the European Super League. Nonetheless I hope Tottenham will be even better in the hands of Ryan Mason this spring.
@JollyGood, you can get this information very quickly.

Morinho's glorious era seems to have ended now and in fact we can see when Morinho has handled a club as big as Manchester United which has only been able to win 3 trophies, namely the Community Shield Cup, the English League Cup and also the Europa League Cup so far. His coaching at Manchester United, if we look at these three trophies, is certainly not worth the large amount of money spent by Manchester United to buy some of the world's big players like Paul Pogba and Eric Balily at that time. It seems that Tottenham also made the right decision to remove Morinho from his current squad because Tottenham's performance this year is quite bad, which is only in 7th position and in my opinion the bus parking tactic that has been a mainstay of Morinho's game is no longer a scary tactic for the team other teams and bus parking tactics have been easily beaten by a team that relies on attacks on the wings and is assisted by a capable attacking midfielder.

Yeah since winning with Inter Milan with 3 wins with the trophy, after that Mourinho is no longer the achievement that many other clubs expected with lots of moves to other clubs couldn't bring any better and now with Tottenham Hotspur at the end with sacking. who was in a hurry because the management already knew that being defended was not a good thing, even though it was difficult to catch up in the top 4 in the English league? Ryan Mason will take over as a replacement while management believes it is too young for him to be a coach but in the meantime can see how the Spurs are in his hands. At this time Spurs still haven't announced a permanent coach candidate. I hope to find the best coach to improve the quality of Tottenham Hotspur's game.

It was very surprised that Tottenham suddenly fired Mourinho. Under the tutelage of Mourinho Tottenham appearance was still below standard, being in 7th position is not a good achievement for a team like Tottenham. Based on media reports, Tottenham fired Jose Mourinho because the coach refused to bring his squad to the European Super League which he considered still illegal and finally the tottenham management chose to fires him.

He made his name outside of the Premier League so he could make it in other top leagues but he loves the EPL. I remember him saying it's the toughest.

Maybe they don't want Tottenham to remain in such a bad position for the remainder of the last game. I think the board has a target to be able to play at UEL (at least), so they are considering sacking mourinho now. Although this is not a guarantee for tottenham to get to UEL in the final standings. Maybe it true that Mourinho relies on star player with expensive purchases nowadays, so he failed to build a solid team like when he in Porto. I don't know.

This was to be expected, he does not try to become one with the players, he puts himself above them, so he constantly has conflicts with the players. He had no order either in Chelsea or in Manchester, why did Tottenham decide that this time everything will work out? I'm not surprised that he was fired from his post as head coach.

Your description seems overly harsh on him, especially when coaches are micro analyzed game after game the pressure on them must be relentless and he is probably glad of a break now. The timing is super suspicious and there are some rumors that he refused to lead his players out to training this morning, in a defiant act against the European Super League announcement. It's amazing how a week or two of bad results can shift sentiment - only back in February, Tottenham managed to rack up four wins where they scored 4 times each match, lots of people have a short memory when following football. It feels like a job where the results will never be good enough for some. Good luck to him though and may he be able to have a very comfortable retirement if he wants it.

I am not surprised to see Mourinho being sacked from Tottenham and race for team who will hire him in next season is just getting started. They can't blame everything on coach but winning only one match in last six from all competition is not good and this may shake them if they still want to have some chance for Euro competition next year and win in League Cup final against Man City. Derby coach Wayne Rooney said that this is crazy decision at this time, but Ryan Mason will be in charge of Spurs for rest of the season. Let's see how they will react against Southampton in two days.

Poch will probably be smiling, not for Mourinho, he's not a bad guy, but for the people at Spurs management and board of directors. Who wants this job now honestly? Mourinho is not the same manager he was in his earlier days, he never adapted to managing the modern player but I do think if he was allowed to bring in a few players of his own choice then Spurs might be in a much stronger league position so I have to blame their chairman Daniel Levy too. It's quite unfortunate for Jose Mourinho, he gave his all to Tottenham Hotspur, but football fortune ran out of him this time around. The problem with Mourinho is that when his teams are not performing as they should he turns against his players and they stop playing for him. I think Dele Alli and Harry Winks will be relieved as they might be able to get back in to the first team after falling out with Mourinho. Jose Mourinho has always orchestrated his own downfall wherever he goes, he's been underperforming for years now but he never faces his own squad, but rather what other managers are doing right or wrong or the whole system is against him. He'd never own up to his own flaws, perhaps he's not so special after all. I agree with you, he is the one to blame for getting sacked because he turns against the players and puts himself in a bad light. The players go on to the pitch and play according to the style the manager wants but the teams Mourinho has managed have not performed consistently well and have underachieved too.

I saw this coming, I don't think the problem is Mourinho, any coach would struggle to do well with the spurs. Even Pochettino struggled before he left. The team needs new players, they've gotten their transfers wrong. They should have let him play the Carabao cup final at least, he boasted he had delivered at least a trophy in d teams he managed, they should have given him till the end of the season; but is only them that knows the exert cause of the immediate sack.
I guess that's the end of Mourinho managing any big club in England, I foresee BVB as his next destination, they are struggling
