2841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 20, 2021, 12:46:39 PM
And just like that its 2-0.

Poms did manage to save their face (Well kinda) by dragging game into final session and face 113 overs, some might argue that they only won 1-ish session in this match and its true but they also showed some sort of resistance on final day so that's a positive considering they were setting new milestone on "How to collapse" every time they came to bat.

English batters also making Green look good. Same guy went wicketless last summer.

This time there is good resistance, because on the last day of the match with six wickets left England have managed to face almost 70 overs. Though the scoring is very slow, the team have withstood a long. This is something positive from the team, if this positive move continues by the upcoming match England could give a better play. Anyhow the series has almost into the hands of Australia.
2842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would a (bicycle) merchant go about accepting bitcoin? on: December 20, 2021, 11:18:12 AM
I had similar experience while buying floor tiles. Went to buy with my friends for my home. It was far away from my home, which is around 500kms. We had planned for a purchase of $5000 worth flooring tiles. The price was quite cheap and looking at this they thought of buying and no money in hand. By the time I had bitcoins. Using that we bought. I sold bitcoin to a trader on LBC and he deposited the respective amount on the flooring tile shop owners account. We bought worth of $9000 in which $5000 paid in hard cash and $4000 deposited through a trader. Maybe OP can try this way of buying even if the bicycle trader isn't accepting bitcoin payments directly. This is just a suggestion.
2843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have shared about bitcoin on my class on: December 20, 2021, 03:58:32 AM
This thread is from the days of covid-19 spread in a very fast phase. Almost 1 year and five months back. By then he had done a marvelous work, and the price of bitcoin was between $10k and $12k. The way the word of bitcoin being spread through a project submission is really good. The teacher have asked him about bitcoin. Atleast she might've started to keep track of the growth, and once after getting information if she/he had invested now she could've understood well about bitcoin through the growth reaching new ATH months back Smiley
2844  Economy / Gambling / Re: Show Your Victory on: December 19, 2021, 11:59:21 PM
If this thread was there three years back, then i would've been the first to add my winning story. Those are beginning days into casinos, I don't know much about the games. Gave try on every game. Got attracted with Dice and started spending much. The very first day lost $1000 and the next day recovered it. This gave me energy to go higher and lost big after making a good fortune of $10000 back in 2018. After that I don't have a shareable victory till date.
2845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear is not Real. on: December 19, 2021, 11:05:50 PM
The evolution and it's growth till date have happened in a gradual manner. We don't know whether the community will widen or not, but on some trust people started to get into cryptocurrency. Slowly the same had made the market to be more stronger than ever.

Fear is part of every investment. When the investment is long term planned, the fear is low. Always the immediate money have got more risk, so good is to move along with the market and book the profit at the right time than keeping focus only on immediate profit.

There is always panic moments, and these are created in the past and people are easily manipulated to follow it. Now things are different, everyone have better learning and they don't easily fall as a prey for the Whales play.
2846  Economy / Economics / Re: I think most people still trust the USD more than Bitcoin on: December 19, 2021, 10:11:24 PM
Undoubtedly, since the majority of people who have bitcoin are greater holders of Fiat than bitcoin itself, because the reality is that only few can say that their assets in bitcoin are greater than what they have in Fiat.

So you have to be informed what happens with the USD, there is no other way, no matter how bitcoiner you want to be, but being aware or being alert with the USD does not mean that this translates into confidence total (100%) in the USD.

That is in the case of bitcoin holders, but in those who still do not even want to invest a $ 1 in bitcoin, the opposite happens today, maybe a few years ago, no, so the confidence was 100% in USD, but today persons are alerts, pending what happens with bitcoin but that still does not translate into trust, but I am sure it is no longer 0%.
I can easily say that mine holdings at bitcoin alone is bigger than my holding at USD, and do not even get me started on altcoins as well, I have a bunch of them as well so if you combine all of my holdings at crypto that is huge. What do I have in fiat? Just the money that I need to spend that month and nothing more, I literally have zero investment in fiat, just the paycheck and that's it and nothing more.
Well, this won't be the scenario with every user. Mine is good as this, because unlike the market crush and variation I prefer investing on cryptocurrency. People who've found experienced the good of cryptocurrency investment will never think of looking back to traditional investments anymore. As per my understanding, now the number of investors into cryptocurrency have increased big than the past. This is happening as a result of acquiring more knowledge about cryptocurrencies.
My only investment is in crypto form and nothing more. I get that not everyone around the world is like that, 90%+ of the people in the world have their investment in some sort of non-crypto form but eventually more and more people will come into crypto for sure.
However the increasing adoption results in the rise of investments on cryptocurrency. Nowadays this has got to be seasonal. At present people are much into the investment on Metaverse projects, months back it was on defi.
2847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 19, 2021, 09:47:04 PM
Pakistan players were included during the initial IPL tournament but the cricket ties were broken after the Mumbai terrorist attack and after that there was no cricket relation between two cricket boards. With the current right wing government you cannot expect that to change anytime soon.

Even i do not like mixing politics and sports together, but the fans follow the sport of cricket as a religion and it is hard to see any changes in the near future but there are other sports where India and Pakistan compete.
India, Pakistan relationship is a puzzle because these both countries can't live without each other hate is also very high in religious peoples, so this is going on from very first day of Independence from both sides so in this all hate business most loser part is sports which never been good and most beneficiary party is terrorists because they have their agenda, and they are winning by big margin.

In first IPL edition most of Pakistani players were in, and they have very good performance even Sohail Tanveer was first player to have purple cap in bowling and in batting there were some good performance as well, so they feel not good with this as mostly feel these players can steal show and have some good income from here so BCCI done this decision and drop them forever which is good hopefully this will carry on for some more years.
As said there is no healthy relation between these two countries from the very beginning. The same has served as a big business at times. Whether it is an exhibition match or a league match, if this is being played between India and Pakistan the hype will be big and same is the audience response from people all around the world. If IPL have included Pakistan players, surely more players would've emerged big from Pakistan.
2848  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesia's 0% Tax on foreigners and digital nomads on: December 19, 2021, 09:02:32 PM
This is really a positive news from a country that is more traditional and highly connected through religion. Being a Muslim dominant country it isn't an easy thing to promote cryptocurrency for different reasons. There is opposition as well as support, now the same serving as a way for the inflow of money will boost up the economy.

The conclusion hasn't been achieved yet, still there is more positivity on the same. When a policy is entitled for the same we can find Indonesia getting listed among the crypto friendly countries.
2849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remember yearn finance (YFI)?? on: December 18, 2021, 11:57:12 PM
Yearn finance and other copycats enjoyed the hype of defi trends and got the most attention because they had low circulating supply and were destined to moon. Immediately the Defi crazy began dieing down so did they also. They got to their milestone based on hype and not because of any uniqueness of their products. Be cautious of investing in similar products with same  ideology in future, as they way they got hyped up so will they crash down.
Previously we had the ICO hype, which resulted in the drastic market change of almost every project. Soon after that more than 90% got vanished out of the market. The teams made good profit and left. By the time some users benefitted, while the users who kept hold believing in the hype got fooled due to more tokens delisted.

This time we had the hype of defi. Yearn finance is one that made it known to the cryptospace, because defi isn't much into discussion. Soon after its progress it was much into discussion and people started to pour more into defi without understanding the limited supply that is making the price changes in huge margin. Now the hype have moved to next set of market trend.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 18, 2021, 11:26:54 PM
I am very very dissapointed with England batting performance. At 140-2 I betted my money on draw @2.00 odds as batting was looking so easy at that time and suddenly they collapsed. The way they were playing after that 3rd wicket was like a very low class team. I am very dissapointed with england perfomance. They can't survive even the whole day after the excellent first session.
This is why it's always important to do your research by checking past results, home ground advantage, in-form players etc before taking such bets. Most people including me expected England to collapse since they are over-dependent on certain batsmen.

Just check this batting averages post which was shared by @JSRAW earlier in this thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168384.msg58684953#msg58684953
Going through the match statistics of majority of the test matches, the first session used to be smooth and there won't be much of wicket fall. The second session used to be completely different from the first one. The ground used to change its nature with time, and how far this makes the change in the play matters. I'm not saying the ground is responsible for this, but it also have its role.
2851  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Finally Climbs Back Above $50k, but can it Remain there? on: December 18, 2021, 11:08:45 PM
^^ We are just above $44k right now, but still in the very dangerous levels at $46k so we are not out of the bear market. On the contrary, we might stay at this price range until the end of the year, which is not a good indication for the next coming 2022 as we might be really entering a bearish scenario similar to 2018. So hopefully though, things will change still next year and we remain in the bullish state at least in the first quarter and hit another all time high.
I do not know, personally it does not seem that we are headed to such a crushing bear market as the one we suffered after the bull run of 2017, it is true the price is having problems remaining above 50k but it is not as if the price is at risk of going below 40k either.
^ I think this is normal when it comes to the month of December, we have more holidays at this month and it could be traders and investors need their money. Something like there is someone who pulled out their assets. But yes, I don't see any reason why BTC will go down beyond $40k, in fact, we are still in a bull market if we compare the last previous price. We were just for it, those people who have willing to wait and be patient will most likely have a reward at the end of the day.
December month used to be different from the rest of the months due to the holidays. For that reason it isn't possible to come to a conclusion about the market trend. The market have been dragging within limits, this is a pattern of resistance gain for the market to get pushed. For some reason if the resistance isn't attained automatically the market drops. Based on this it is good to have patience, but how far the market gonna change in the short term is completely dependent on the inflow of money.
2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing with dices on: December 18, 2021, 06:58:05 PM
I am not sure if you can get the correct code quickly because you need to test one by one. I think the script will not let you make money from the dice because dice is one of the gambling games based on luck so without having luck, I consider it difficult to win many times. Maybe you can win for some time, but I doubt that you will win more using the same code as the casino can replace the code easily without you knowing. If you are still curious about your script, you can test it for more, but be careful because that will relate to your money.
Most of the scripts were created in such a way to profit the gambling house. However the fair functioning of the script needs to be tested than the profiting, because without users there is no use of developing scripts. Same as that OP can go for testing with play tokens which doesn't have value, but can be used for testing. Here it is possible to find the average profiting/loss of gambling house using the script.
2853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin search results spam using DuckDuckGo on: December 18, 2021, 06:38:48 PM

Myself checked with the DDG and I found relevant information associated with bitcoin. Maybe there is something wrong with your browser.

Use DDG and try to search for "bitcoin wallet", let me know what the first result is..
Btw Qwant gives the same result.

Poeple don't search for "bitcoin" and simply that, they use more search terms, do some test, if you use DGG and search for things like bitcoin miners 4 out of the first ten results are could mining scams.

Checked for "bitcoin wallet" and got all these as the top search results. Maybe with the different terms used there might be more variations of getting inappropriate search results.

2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 18, 2021, 01:23:36 PM
England finished their first innings with 236 runs. After Malan and Root's partnership broke, no other player was able to form a pair. With such a performance, at least it is not possible to win against a team like Australia. England will lose this match as usual. Australia is now leading by 277 runs. Today is the third day of the game.Australia will play a maximum of two sessions tomorrow.
Yes, England is struggling throughout the series. Yeah, there is lack of back support from players. Few players doing the best while the back team misses it. If every player give an average performance the score could've been above 300. This time Australia confirms its win very earlier, because of two more days left for the match and it already leads by 282 runs.

Hope England will perform better in the upcoming match. It seems the right time to progress, because three more matches which can serve as a fight back for England.

2856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish card games on: December 16, 2021, 11:51:56 PM
I haven't heard about this card game earlier. It is a regional game that is being played over a specific location. Same as this different forms of card games are available. As said, these games are connected to the culture. People sit ase groups and spend time playing it. Only the common card games known to the world were available with every gambling platform. Maybe you can get access on a regional gambling service render whose service is limited within Spain.

2858  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin market has been dumping so much for months on: December 15, 2021, 11:58:46 PM
I think you should goback and look at the Bitcoin charts for the year 2018 to first half of 2020 to understand what dumping it bear market looks like, last one year has been the best year for crypto and yes we have seen BTC dropping to $29k and again crossing the $60k mark and currently trailing under $50k, these are market corrections and usual fluctuations which shouldn't hamper our decision making or invetsment plan. Market will not go in one direction for a longer period of time so we should be prepared for both in order to benefit from pump as well as dump.

For those who have been hear in 2017, yeah, this is familiar territory for us as we have seen it before. But majority here are very news and doesn't know what really is happening right now as we are much into the expectations of 6 digits at the end of the year.

And with that said, it's really better to prepare our selves for the worst, perhaps we have seen $68k for now as the all time high, just saying.
All who experienced the previous bull market of 2017, this doesn't look like a big correction. For users who have been expecting for $100k it is unexpected. Someday this will happen, but with cryptocurrency we need to stay focused with preparations to face the worst scenario as mentioned in the previous post. This will help us withstand at all market situations and make profit. If not we need to have plan B, so to minimize the unexpected loss happening out of correction.
2859  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - 2 Million+ in Xmas Giveaways | Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 15, 2021, 11:32:02 PM
You can wager $100,000 in Stake, risk $1,000 about 1000 times like this:

Just to be rewarded "at the moment" with $20.

See who you're competing with:

These guys wagered millions, truly millions of dollars.

Even if you wagered $100k which is a lot for the average Joe - how can you compete with those who wager millions?

They have thousands of tickets for the Xmas giveaway, thousands - you have just a few - so who has more chances to win?

Again - if that's how they like to do it - no problem, no doubts those high rollers like these are the milestones Stake needs, but if you're thinking of winning something massive in the race or get a better fair chance to win the Xmas raffle? Don't be so sure about that.

 Undecided
Yes I really wonder who are those guys and if they really exist actually or are just ghosts instead. Because what are their guarantees against an unexpected lock of their funds or an exit scam/close of the platform? you must be crazy to send hundreds of thousands of dollars to an offshore cryptogambling site.
MalteseFalcon has always been a very very wealthy person all around the crypto gambling world. I do not know who he is obviously, just the nickname but from what I gather he is a crypto rich person, he probably invested very early into many stuff and made a lot of money. I have seen him at the top of the lists all the time and this is not the first time. Dude is nearly 30+ million dollars ahead of the closest person, and that second has nearly 50 million as well so it is really not normal to be clearing that 30 million further.

I am 99% sure that if he went to Las vegas, any casino in the world would give him ANYTHING he asks, even illegal stuff to be fair, just to keep him gambling there. So all in all dude is the biggest whale the whole world has ever seen. I doubt anyone else ever gambled 80 million dollars in 2 weeks in any other casino ever in the whole history of gambling.
All the participants on the top of the race were unknown to the world, but the name can be seen on every list of Stake's race. These whale gamblers are fearless and in one of the previous race during the last day I was watching the players wagering against each other to take the second position, because the difference between the first and second is huge.

During the Birthday of Stake we used to see success stories through Stake. Maybe soon we can get the story of Maltese Falcon shared in an anonymous way.
2860  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 15, 2021, 01:13:50 AM
At this time it is suitable to buy bitcoin, considering there is a correction that occurs in a few days, but in conditions like this we can take advantage of short-term investment patterns
I am not sure if it is a good time to buy Bitcoin since there is a rumor that Bitcoin possibly drops to $42k. In my personal opinion, if we want to buy Bitcoin, wait till the Bitcoin drop below $45k. Considering the current price is around $48k, better to keep waiting and learn how the possible market trend in the future. Honestly, I stop buying now, I assume it is too risky buying Bitcoin with the current market condition.

If the plan is for trading, then the present time is good. There is possible chances of making profit out of the regular fluctuation between $45k and $48k. Maybe this can crash or pump, so being prepared for the same and simultaneous involvement into trading brings good money.

If the plan is for long term holding, then having patience for a short term could benefit. The price is predicted to test $40k based on the market conditions.
