2841  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people in the world know about bitcoin? on: March 27, 2018, 10:40:56 PM
I bet you don't have the valid evidence to say that only 10% of your country's population knew about bitcoins. Well, that's your own perspective so I'l respect it.

Here in our country, I don't know either the exact number of bitcoin users because I haven't heard yet a news or a statistical study about it. But let's go to the smaller scale. Here in our school, there's a big possibility that Engineering students (especially the Comp. Eng.) and Info. Tech. Students only knows about bitcoin because technology is a nature in their course. Furthermore, if we go into smaller scale I think I'm the only one who use btc and crypto in general here in our neighborhood.

Well, it seems that crypto is not a popular stuff here but i'm not surprised because this is a rural province.
2842  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: March 27, 2018, 09:42:33 PM
I think I would still use btc even though its price became stable. That's because I'm not like the others who invest or trade in order to make profits from it, I earn it through signature campaigns. It's just like I'm not bothered because there is nothing to lose for me since I don't pull some money out of my pocket.
So, are you guys using bitcoin because of it's nature, or because it's a financial tool of making money?

Whether btc's security or volatility motivates us to use it, it's undeniable that we are still benefited by both. What i'm saying is if you invest some money on btc just to make faster and safer transactions, your money may also increase because of its inflations; and if you just use it just to earn profits then your money is safe and anonymous at the same time.
2843  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk forum, hardly access in browser! on: March 27, 2018, 01:20:04 PM
Better for you if you try to check your internet connection first or other technical aspects because that maybe the problem. Honestly, accessing this forum through a browser runs smoothly (aside from clouflare interruption of few seconds) because that's what I'm using right now.
2844  Other / Meta / Re: not receiving Merit? I don't care on: March 27, 2018, 11:18:36 AM
That's the right attitude. Smiley I hope you may encouraged other pessimistic users here who stand in the opposition side of merit system.

Despite of the burden we experienced due to this system (sad but true), we should remain the positivity in ourselves and just treat this as a challenge in becoming a better member here in the forum.
2845  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: March 27, 2018, 10:35:13 AM
Are you really serious or is it a joke? Grin But kidding aside, of course not. You could definitely make faster and get bigger profits in doing illegal things like what have you mentiond. But if we compare crypto in the stock market or real estate properties, your profits still varies depending to the amount you invested but one thing is for sure, you can earn faster in crypto due to its volatility.

Just a friendly reminder, just because you invested in btc it doesn't mean that being prosperous through it is guaranteed. You should work hard also, make the behavior of coins in the market favorable to you, always be careful and make wise decisions.
2846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to overcome the fear of holding? on: March 27, 2018, 09:58:42 AM
I've always been one who sells to earlier, either to minimize my losses or to realize my earnings ASAP and leave. I've seen in most of my investments, if not all that if I would've just left the coins there they would've been worth 10-50x what I put in before. This is upsetting as a person and trader, as I see how much money I'm missing out on.

Well, I can't blame you if you are a little bit tense and easily influenced by a sudden drop of coin's price in the market because that's a common scenario here in crypto world. We can't do anything about that unless you learned how to handle your emotional well being and be brave.

Since you already concluded that you missed so much amount of money after selling your coins very early, why don't you use that fact to force yourself to practice holding longer. I'm sure you'll earn bigger and feel more satisfied after achieving it.
2847  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines to develop rules on cryptocurrency trading on: March 27, 2018, 12:20:33 AM
This make me feel nervous a little bit because after I've read that our country is going to put some regulations in crypto I overthink that it will leads to a ban sooner or later but it seems that I'm all wrong after I read your post fully and I feel relieved right now. Smiley

In my opinion, this is great for us because at we can feel that our government support the crypto community and take some actions to protect us against fraud. It seems that our government only wants the best for us having no bad intentions at all so let's be glad and worry nothing.
2848  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency? on: March 25, 2018, 10:54:49 PM
I don't think that we are now facing a hard time with bitcoin, this is much normal actually. I prefer this set up where btc increases slowly day by day and only deflates a little bit because I really hate what we experienced this Dec. where btc reached ATH and suddenly into blood bath.

Just because btc is now too far to its recent ATH it doesn't mean that we need to be alarmed. Calm down and be patiently waiting.
2849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if people stop buying bitcoin? on: March 25, 2018, 10:30:19 PM
The "Supply and Demand" principle can simply explain this. Since no one is buying now then I'm pretty sure the price will become stagnant and if we assume also that all are selling their remaining holdings then this btc's price will continue dropping and will not recover (since we are not buying anymore).
Will bitcoin be as usable as now Or will it be a step towards the end?
Definitely not because this means that btc are now valueless for us. Tendency, we will prefer using another coin and this coin will have the chance to replaced btc and become on top.
2850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: finish college or keep playing bitcoin? on: March 24, 2018, 01:12:50 PM
Well, you are the only one who can answer that question because it's very obvious that you are the only one who knows the best for yourself so we have no choice but to respect whatever decision you'll made. But honestly, I can sense your eagerness to pursue dealing with bitcoins and refuse to continue your studies anymore. If my presumption is right then go if that really what makes you happy. But try to think again and consider education because this is essential to our lives. For me, it's more fulfilling to finish my degree and get my diploma than having a lot of money.

But actually, you don't need to only choose one among the two because you can do both at the same time. I know that it's very hard to multitask and maybe you are now less motivated to study after realizing that studying has no sense at all since you are already earning good money now but don't you think that becoming a successful bitcoin holder and professional in the future is awesome, right? Smiley
2851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoins be antiques on: March 24, 2018, 12:16:28 PM
Though 80% of the 21 million coins are already mined, the remaining 20% is still way too far to be completely mined since it will take more than a century to achieve this. Hence, still early to discuss this kind of topic I think and besides I'm not bothered at this issue because I'm pretty sure that I will not reach that time. Grin

But kidding aside, I don't think btc will become antique or a collectible by the moment all btc are mined. Actually, there's a tendency that it will increase its demand because of the limited supply — meaning, btc's price will soar high.

We can relate this situation into gold. We all know that gold has a small amount of supply compare to other metals because it's hard to produce yet still considered as one of the expensive things in the world.
2852  Economy / Economics / Re: Will future paper money disappear? on: March 24, 2018, 11:01:14 AM
i think so, with the rapid increase of internet using in our daily life and as we know that internet will take over and become a major part of our life, the concept of money paper therefore is just become out of place, because everything is just one click away, there will be no place for paper money and other, and replacing paper money is also good for environmental.
Sorry for contradicting you but I think fiat currency will not vanish and majority replaced by crypto, not this near future. Actually, paper money remains much better to use rather than cryptocurrency because it doesn't require digital wallet apps (which have usenames, passwords and private keys) and Internet connection at all, it is mainly made of a paper yet provides a convenient tool for dealing with daily transactions.

The invention of crypto was absolutely awesome because this is a technological breakthrough for us but I think it is not yet ready to replaced our current monetary system for the reason that many still oppose to its concept and besides we can still see loopholes from it.
2853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If bitcoin is gone will the other coin survive? on: March 24, 2018, 10:12:41 AM
It's believable to assume that there's a tendency for altcoins to drop also as bitcoin drops; but saying that altcoins will disappear too as bitcoin gone, I don't think so. We all know that btc is the King of Crypto and it greatly influence the other coins but it doesn't mean that the existence of other coins depends on it because they have different platforms.

If btc collapsed, I guess alts will continue circulating and the strongest coin next to it will lead the market which is Eth (based on the present standings).
2854  Other / Meta / Re: why every day we must repeat the same q in this forum section it's booooring on: March 24, 2018, 09:20:32 AM
Yeah, you're right. Topics who are repeatedly discussed makes me feel irritated because I feel myself like a robot who need to answer the same questions again and again but in different manner only. But in the end, I choose to ignore that because the important thing that matters to me is the fact that I could be able to share some information and give some help to my co-member here in the forum especially to the newbies.
2855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin is pretty easy on: March 24, 2018, 02:49:12 AM
I recognize the thing you've done as a simple buying and selling of bitcoin only, and not trading. I say so because you said that you bought btc between $6000 - $7400 and sold in $11500, as you can see there's no involvement of other coins at all.

Anyway, if buying/selling of btc is your main point then you're right. It is easy to make profits from it as long as you are patient and always follow the "Buy low, Sell high" principle.
2856  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Account with 10 Posts/Activity and 100 Merit ?! on: March 23, 2018, 10:07:15 AM
For me, that "GiGa#" was silly because I don't see any good reason why it is necessary to delete all the posts of the previous owner. If I were him, I will just continue what the previous owner started and make the post history as his reference for his future posts.

Well, that's not my life anyway so have no choice but to respect his decision. Cheesy
2857  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is so unfair on: March 23, 2018, 01:55:10 AM
Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.
Seems unfair for you but for me it's totally not. Not only the newcomers are struggling because of this merit system, higher rank members also feel the same way.
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
You are right somehow but not speak in general because I believe that there are still generous members here. Besides, make some considerations for not giving you a merit because I know that they've got their own reasons like maybe they don't have an smerit to give, they disagree in your opinion or maybe they are not yet contented in your answer/post. Just be patient and I'm sure you'll get one next time.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

I feel you bro because I also don't have friends that I could ask for a merit but that's alright because it's not necessary begging for merits, I let my posts work for it.
My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.
This is already answered many times before so to make it short, this is implemented to force everyone to improve quality of posts and to cleanse this forum.
2858  Economy / Services / Re: Eligma Signature and Avatar Campaign(FULL) on: March 22, 2018, 01:17:52 AM
Payments have been sent to those who qualified
I already received the payment sir. Thank you. Smiley
2859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think HODL is bad for your health? on: March 20, 2018, 11:59:08 PM
For me it's not, actually it benefits me a lot because I was able to preserve my savings and I might have a chance to earn bigger profits in the future.

Anyway, why it would be bad for your health? Well, maybe you are easy to become nervous and easily panic when you can't handle the situation any longer. If that's the case then crypto world does not suits for you because this world is lot of surprises either a good ones or bad ones. But here's my advice, stay calm always and avoid overthinking whenever btc's price drops because that causes so much stress.
2860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the risk necessary to make a big profit? on: March 20, 2018, 11:52:33 PM
You have a point but try also to understand the people who prefer much safer way of earning. Not all of people thinks like you, maybe they are afraid to risk their money because that's the only thing what they've got which for you is only a small amount of money if we compared.

Each one of us has its own strategy of making money, I don't see any problem whether you are a risk taker or do the oppositeas long as you know what is right for your future.
