Newzealand VS Ireland
Three ODI matches will be played. A good opportunity for the Irish team. They played well with India in two T20 matches which India won. I know this ODI series will be won by Newzealand but it will be an interesting series considering the previous performance of the Irish side.

This 76* runs partnership between Pant and Jaddu saved India from another collapse. Don't want to jinx it but i wish they bat for another 40 overs.
Every Indian batter were looking good and did the hard work except Iyer but each one of em failed but it's mainly because of vintage Anderson and new kid Potts.
Poor Kohli can't catch a break at all. Iyer need to work on facing short ball otherwise he won't feature in test team regularly especially in SENA countries, you know you can't play short ball when 40 yo guy scaring you with his moderate speed.

India have scored 286 runs and has not lost any other wickets. Rishab Pant's batting surprised me. He scored 128 runs off 99 balls. Pant's strike rate is more than 129. And India collected 75 runs in the last 10 overs. Although Jadeja batted responsibly, Rishab Pant is very aggressive today. If India can collect like 350-400, it will be a good collection for them. Rishab Pant returned to the dressing room after collecting 146 runs. He has hit 19 fours and 4 over boundaries. Seeing his batting, I thought he was performing in a T20 match. However, the sad thing is that he could not score 150 runs for only 4 runs. Jadeja is unbeaten on 83 runs. At the end of the first day, India's collection was 338/7. India will probably lose all their wickets between 360-370. I was hoping that he would complete his 150 runs. Overall without his contribution, India would have collapsed on the first day of this test match. Jadeja as usual came to the rescue again and is still not out. I hope he is able to get his century today. India needs to score more than 350 runs in their first innings as the English side can bat as we have seen in the previous test match with NZ. |

BTW, did anyone followed the match between Australia and Sri Lanka? Lankans got a taste of their own medicine, as the Aussie spinners destroyed them.
I watched the match. But I was not ready to see such a catastrophe for the Sri Lankan batsmen. Sri Lanka lost all their wickets for 113 runs. Nathan Lyon and Trevis Head took four wickets each. And Karunaratne has scored the highest 23 runs for Srilingkar. Sri Lanka gave a target of only 5 runs. Australia reached the target by collecting 10 runs from 4 balls. The win was what Australia needed after a humiliating defeat in the ODI series. This is why I have been saying again and again that host teams should not prepare substandard pitches to give undue advantage to home players. Now see what happened. The pitch was so horrible that Travis Head picked up 4 wickets. Can you imagine this? Before this match, Mr.Head had a total of 0 wickets from 26 matches. If Alex Carey was not there in the squad, then in all probability he would have been the keeper. This entire series is turning out to be a shit show. If I was the chairman of the ICC, then I would immediately ban Sri Lanka from test cricket or at least ban them from hosting any international matches. By the way who are you? An ICC official, curator of the pitch, a field staff or someone who knows nothing but still knows everything. I do not understand from where you got that audacity to proclaim that you are a king/queen of a pitch and decision maker. Just read what you said, if a host team follows your recommendation then they will always be buried. Technically you should point out on the performance of a team than question the pitch. It is known that South Asian countries create pitch suitable to a spin bowler? This is why they have maximum spinners. Overall it is the srilankan team and the board that has to be blamed. Moreover, I am happy they are generating revenue not like Pakistan where their minister said donot drink tea or we will be bankrupt. |

They will never get a lot of chances to play against the big teams. And that is the way ICC works. Now the BCCI is in talks about blocking 2.5 to 3 months every year for the IPL. The number of ICC tournaments are increasing. Any remaining time will be taken up by bilateral series between the tier 1 test nations. Those in the tier 2 (Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan) can play amongst themselves and that's all they can do. Get some big wins, such as the upset win by Ireland against England during the 2011 CWC, and there is a chance that the big teams may give 1-2 matches to them once in a while.
Nothing can be done for these Tier2 teams. ICC cannot do anything as BCCI is the biggest revenue generator for them and they will increase the duration of IPL and block international cricket for a few months. The only option left now is that these teams play within themselves and try to improve their game. |

What a pathetic performance from the lankans and that too at home, no wonder test cricket is dying there for good and overall everywhere.
Aussie spinners outbowled Lankans bowlers completely. Heck even Head took a 4-for.
What happened to Srilankan batters? They were not able to play on a pitch created by them. This pitch from the beginning was a spinner paradise. Srilanka had more spinners than medium pacers but yet they were not able to stop the Australian batters and nor were able to play only two Australian spinners. What a shameful way to lose a 5-day match in a day. |

Saw the highlights between Srilanka and Australia as I do not have the patience to watch it throughout the day and felt that the winner of this test match will be decided by the spinners again. Steve Smith's dismissal was unnecessary there was no need to take that run. The whole point of test cricket is to check the patience and skills of both batter and bowler. The game is still in its early stage but Australia needs to rethink its batting strategy as they have already lost 3 wickets and trail by 114 runs.

There is more excitement than expected in this Ireland vs India T20 series. Despite playing well, Ireland lost the match by 4 runs, scoring almost the winning run. With a series win, Hardik begins his international captaincy career. There's no judging a series against Ireland, luck is on his side. The bowling wasn't good, the batting was poor except for Hooda and Samson. Deepak Hooda is an incredibly talented young man. Having the opportunity to play for the national team, he makes the most of it.
I was very surprised to see Ireland's performance. This team will play better in the future. After batting on a huge target of 226 runs, they lost by only 4 runs. Almost every batsman in Ireland has tried to play well. Experienced bowlers like Bhuvnewar Kumar also gave a lot of runs. The players of the Irish team have proved they have the ability. The team will only play better in the future if they get more opportunities like this. They need more experience to play international cricket. They have the potential but unfortunately they lack experience. In these times when more emphasis is given to franchise T20 cricket i doubt they will get any more opportunities like the one they got with India. |

From your point of view, are you saying ETH is more preferable to use or what? I loved their fighting spirit, chasing 200+ score is never an easy task but they almost did it. Associate teams needs such kind of series regularly and ICC + full nations specially big teams should go ahead and start touring them even if they are sending their 2nd string squad, it's a win-win for everyone.
Positive sign for Ravi Bishnoi, he bowled beautifully last night despite going for runs. Irish batters were struggling against him, he could have picked 3-4 wickets if it wasn't for no ball drama and dropped catch.
Yeah.. Ravi Bishnoi was the player who won the match for India. All the other bowlers were going for more than 12 runs per over, when he was introduced. Bhuvi went for 29 from his 2 and Umran went for 14 in his first. But in his first two overs, Bishnoi conceded only 11 runs and that was the game changer. Irish batsmen were ahead until then, but two tight overs created a lot of pressure and Forget about Indian bowlers, what happened to the batters? Except Hooda and Samson everyone was a big failure. Dinesh Karthik and Axar Patel went for a duck. I thought the Indian side might have taken the Irish batters for granted. They lost by just 4 runs this match might not go well with the selectors next time. |

PCB has every right to raise this issue, why should they stop playing international cricket during IPL? Props to PCB and Rambo as they are just trying to secure their cricket board's interest, that's their main job but at the same time BCCI is also entitled to secure their product.
Do you think that BCCI product IPL is not secured and still they need to block it for 3 months? If this is how it works, I suggest extending the tournament for full 12 months  Remember the lengthier the tournament, people will lose interest. ICC does not have any governance on domestic cricket therefore ICC cannot ask for any money from BCCI. Other boards can still schedule their international matches when IPL is played but the question is that will those players play for their country or will they play for the franchise. Let the players decide.
Most of the players run after the money and they do not care for the country even though it's their country that brought them to this level. In simple words you mean to say money is more important for a player over his country. If IPL allows Pakistan player now, they will leave their countries game to play for IPL. The problem here is that India will not allow Pakistani players till this ruling party is defeated in election. Now, PCB can scream but ICC will not hear it unless there are other big boards. Which will never happen unless they generate huge revenue. Therefore IPL will win but bilateral matches will lose somewhat similar to EPL. |

India : Ireland
The first match of the two-match T20 series against Ireland is going to be held today. India won the toss and elected to bowl. But the match is being delayed due to rain. India should have batted first against Ireland and delivered huge targets. Ireland is not a very strong team. India should win the series by dominating. Maybe this match will be one-sided.
Ireland have done really well in terms of batting in the first match. They have scored a good amount of runs in just 12 overs. But we all know that India loves to Chase and Ireland is actually not a match for them. India is above multiple levels compared to Ireland. India eventually won the match really easily. Hopefully the next match will be competitive. Ireland is doing a great job. The last match Ireland relatively make good score. Tomorrow will meet them again. We have guessed what the result might be. India will win the two-match series. As Indian cricket is a great figure all over the world so they will try to control the mach very easily. You are asking too much when you say "competitive". This is a casual game with nothing competitive involved. India is far better and actually stronger team than Ireland. I feel happy that it is only a two game series otherwise as no own would be interested to watch a game played by amature. The indian team is playing is full of professional player who have been part of many T20 matches than their counterparts players. In my opinion it is good for Ireland to host a T20 series against India, as they will work on their abilities and some of the m might get noticed bu the IPL franchise. themselves series and also think about having a proper stadium. |

India won the first match against Ireland pretty easily even though the match was reduced to 12 overs a side and this is the trend i am expecting in this series, unless Ireland proves otherwise . Thank god that the India-Ireland series consists of only two T20 matches, otherwise we might have to watch the boring matches between the two team which have no competition between them. The 2nd and the final match between these two teams will be played tomorrow and surely, India will win this series by 2-0 Absolutely correct! No comparison between both the sides. It was an easy win for India yesterday. What made me happy was to see Stake.com advertising their platform in this match. Intelligent way to promote a gambling platform in India. ^^ Yeah i guess Kiwis don't even have regular spinner, just 2 part timers. Having said that test is evenly poised and could swing to any side. Kiwis pace battery is world class but on the other hand Poms middle order looking very different nowadays.
I watched downfall of last 3 wickets and some balls are really behaving weirdly, like keeping way too low out of nowhere so chase could be tricky.
I was also feeling this may be gone either way but after having end of fourth day and poor bowling from Kiwis now it's all ended in 3 - 0 for England's new captain and coach they can enjoy their first win and this could be big booster for them before last test match against India where now we have bad new Rohit Sharma is having Covid-19 and could be doubtful for test match with this it's big below for visitors and having good advantage for home team which is already enjoying good start after the worst end of Root's era. Kiwis having no full time spinner is big problem for them because this could be good game changes, but they fail and now having more below in this whitewash series. It will be very easy for the English batter to chase only 113 runs. I wasn't expecting such an appalling performance by NZ bowlers. After the dismissal of Mitchell I was hoping Blundell would take on the English bowlers but he too was having difficulty. The English side is completely different now after Ben stokes took over as a captain. This is a completely different team and after this test match win they will be unstoppable. |

Anyone here following Ranji Trophy. History creted today as Madhya Pradesh for the first time won the Ranji trophy by defeating Maharashtra. Madhya Pradesh team was bein coached by Chandrakant Pandit who was a former wicketkeeper of team India. He was also the captain of Madhya Pradesh Ranji team in 1999, when they lost the finals and after 23 years won the Ranjhi trophy as a coach.
