2841  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: January 03, 2017, 08:35:53 PM
the simplest and easiest way to invest I can think is buying or earning bitcoin in the low price, and hold it for a long time. no doubt, many people make profit by doing this. but I myself invest my bitcoin into a business. I sell things and get profit. it is another way of investment, but not bad.
2842  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: January 03, 2017, 08:27:59 PM
just because a 1 bitcoin has more value than 1 paper bill doesn't mean that fiat will become worthless especially once the bitcoin price is already $10 000 . and I think even if bitcoin becomes used by many people fiat will still has its worth or value if you mean fiat will although it is only printed they are still coexist and it will still be used to determine/measure what the exact price of bitcoin is .
agree. even bitcoin price hits $10,000 , I think there will be a few people who convert their bitcoins to fiat because bitcoin is not acceptable in their countries. I am not sure yet that bitcoin will be totally legal in all countries. so fiat will be still worth.
2843  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: January 03, 2017, 08:22:49 PM

Bitcoin is a very good thing to have as an asset. Just like gold. Even better if I may say. It's secure, and unlike fiat money it actually exists and work is put into it to produce it. This makes it great to store value.
However, it cannot and will not replace current fiat money that the entire world it using. It just cannot.

actually bitcoin is not that secure. we can see how many people were hacked.

alright, the point is both bitcoin and fiat is not really secure. they have their own good side and bad side. however I agree with your statement. bitcoin will not change fiat totally, but in some cases we can buy stuff by bitcoin.
2844  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: January 03, 2017, 07:54:42 PM
Really? Ah, nothing like that, too. Too hard to say will destroy the fiat system. Both are continuous, mutual need, however they also both have weaknesses of each side and it could not be separated. Many regions, many countries are not yet familiar with Bitcoin, even though there is still forbidden. The society also many are not educated well to understand what Bitcoin. So I think it will not happen.
that is right. bitcoin is not better known by so many people around the globe. the amount of people who know about bitcoin well is less than people who know bitcoin well, and use it. so I think it is too fast to conclude that almost all people will use bitcoin in 2022
2845  Economy / Economics / Re: The Future of Bitcoin Is Not as a Digital Currency on: January 03, 2017, 07:49:25 PM
currency refers to a generally accepted form of
money, including coins and paper notes, which is issued by a government and circulated within an economy.

actually bitcoin is form of money, we can buy things by bitcoin, and it is issued by government and circulated within economy of a country like Japan. so according to the definition, bitcoin is a currency, even it has another function.
2846  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BITSANE.COM Cryptocurrency Exchange Platform Is Now Live on: January 03, 2017, 02:47:31 PM
We recommend that you keep the fee low. It was an attractive situation. This will attract bot users.
Yes, the low fee is very interesting for me, although its reduce bitsane profits but its really good for promotion I am sure bitsane could be really famous by this way.
Bitsane is famous nowadays because it has a continued promotion in the form of signature campaign which is their best step in giving success to bitsane exchange. After a few months of running their signature campaign people will find a place in that exchange and it will be filled with traffic. Currently they have lesser members they also need to promote it more even on other places. Try to get a slot on the forum in the auction from theymos.
I also do think low fee is good promotion, and then bitsane can increase that after period of time?

well, we cannot avoid to say that signature campaign also makes bitsane is known, but the most important thing is the feature bitsane offers.
2847  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: January 02, 2017, 11:59:09 PM
I am fully disagree with the Bitcoin bank idea . Because if it goes successfully comes then it will destroy the job of many bitcoin trader . In my friends circle many of friends who are trader of bitcoin are in fear to loss job .
Because after comes of bitcoin bank people will make buy directly , and bank will make profit .
Don't worry it will not happen, bank is only for people who like to support a centralized system, bitcoin is the complete opposite, so it's close to impossible.
I am not really sure whether it will happen or not because there are still many possibilities. but I do not agree to about bitcoin bank because the system will be the same like usual banks even the name is bitcoin bank. besides, why should go to the bank instead of sending/buying bitcoins from your house?
2848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many long term holders are there and how many btc do they own? on: January 02, 2017, 11:54:44 PM
You can check bitcoin richlist here https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html
However its hard to find out how many of those addresses belongs to long term holders but we can make guess looking at last sent transaction from each of those addresses.

Right now there are 16M btc and I assume the majority of them are in long term holds but has anyone done any research to try and run the numbers.
I don't think majority of bitcoin traders hold bitcoin for long term, most of them just keep on buying/selling on every price swing to make some profit. But we can assume 1-2% of bitcoin holders are holding bitcoin for long term and are passive traders.
I do think so. 10 years is very long time. if there are people who are willing to hold their bitcoins for that long, I think there are not many of them. because they also need capital financial for trading or another needs. so probably they are about 5% of bitcoin users.
2849  Economy / Speculation / Re: What has affected the price of Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2017, 04:27:13 PM
Sorry, but i don't know why price bitcoin increase quickly, yesterday i see price bitcoin is 967$ and today price is 1034$, what's happening?
Many people talk to me Chinese control Bitcoin, some people talk me demand of bitcoin increase so price bitcoin increase. Who should i believe?
I think this happened because of a growing demand for bitcoin. we know that the current bitcoin users continues to grow significantly.
because of these factors that make the price of bitcoin increased with ease.
agree. it is the law of marketing. the higher demand is, the higher the price will be.

I think many people are interested in bitcoin nowadays. but some pumpers also affected this, IMO, because in a few years, the price of bitcoin increased by tge end of the year.
2850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We got hacked" coming ! on: January 02, 2017, 04:21:53 PM
I agree. Remember the last hacking to the trading platform? It caused a big damage to the bitcoins' prices which made Bitcoin can not increase its price for at least 3 months. I will try not to involve in any trading platform or third party services.
yeah. learning from past mistake is the best learning. so, in order to not be hacked, keep your coins safe on paper wallet maybe or another safe wallet, not on an exchange. or in other words, do not trade many coins in this some period of time. because I think there are not many stupid people who just save their coins in exchanges without strategy.
2851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long has Microsoft been accepting bitcoin payments?! on: January 02, 2017, 04:03:35 PM
I think the link posted is the same link that was posted here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1736242.0

well, I ever read a member here said that he could buy stuff (about microsoft, that accepted bitcoin as payment) a year ago. so microsoft already accepted bitcoin a year ago, but probably it is not the exact time when microsoft accepted bitcoin for the first time.
2852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: (RE: Exchanges hack) Let's talk about a solution before instead of crying after on: January 02, 2017, 03:48:01 PM
we have all seen exchanges being hacked and lost our precious bitcoins or at least heard about them. and these days i keep seeing these two topics saying there is a possibility for a new one!

i say lets talk about a solution. there is no point sitting around waiting for one to happen then start crying!

  • what can we do?
and don't keep your money on exchange site is not an acceptable answer! because you have to do it if you want to trade, the exchange may get hacked (allegedly or for real) 1 minute after you deposit.

  • what is the substitute for these exchanges?
decentralized exchange? how do they work? is there any good one around? why aren't they famous? what are the pros and cons?
i'll admit that i don't know much about decentralized exchanges and i am sure i am not alone here

let this topic be a compilation of all suggestion for either an existing solution or future possibilities and ideas.

for me, my solution is never put all of your bitcoin into one exchangers, but split it into many exchangers and don't use large amount in that exchangers, the most of your bitcoin will be store in your private wallet so if there is something bad happen with exchangers, we still have our bitcoin in our wallet that is safe in that wallet.

I think it is a strategy to not lose our coins on an exchange. I am not sure traders or those who store their bitcoins on an exchange have will to store low amount of coins because their motto is "no risk, no fun". however I agree with the idea to store bitcoins on an exchange in little amount.
2853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder to not use brainwallets on: January 02, 2017, 03:40:34 PM
Now that there are a lot of newbies asking how to store their bitcoins, it is often remembered how it's a terrible idea to hold bitcoins on exchanges and online wallets like blockchain.info, but it is often forgotten how bad of an idea is to go the brainwallet route. Even gmaxwell has remembered people to not use them... it is just not a trusted way to store coins specially longterm. Maybe if you want to cross borders and temporarily hold coins "in the void", but forget to hold your main stack in a brainwallet.
actually I do not use brainwallet or holding my bitcoins on an exchange. I just store my bitcoin when I receive my payment and then sell it because I have a lot of live needs to be fulfilled.

well, to recommended people not to use something, I think it would be better if you suggest what best wallet to be used.
2854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft Excel supporting Bitcoin ! on: January 02, 2017, 02:43:53 PM
wow fascinating! I actually do not really like to count or to convert the price from bitcoin to my local currency, so it will assist me, really.

I hope microsoft will launch the new feature as soon as possible. I am looking forward to using it.
2855  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think BTC will hit 2000 USD feb 17 on: January 02, 2017, 02:39:38 PM
Happy 2017 to all
Due to the current huge daily increase of bitcoin do you believe\think that one bitcoin equal 2000 USD by the end of this month - Feb2017 ?
Thanks

I am not really sure because the price did not heat $1000+ by the end of the year, and in the initial year, I do not think the price will be higher. so probably the price will be around $800-$950 on february. but if it hits more than $950, it will be better.
2856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin-Eating Robot on: January 01, 2017, 03:16:30 PM
Quote
It is a hybrid entity that exists in both the virtual and physical realms and can interact with other entities on the blockchain.
In its physical form, the Plantoid is a mechanical structure in a public space exhibiting beauty and seeking donations to its bitcoin wallet based on its attractiveness.

it is amazing! so the thing is like a robotic plant that can live by receiving bitcoin donations. so it looks like the wallet is its root that will look for food. but it is not actually "look for", but " receive". however, the art is so cool. I see the picture when the flower lights on. it is beautiful.
2857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: January 01, 2017, 03:01:01 PM
I think buying drugs with bitcoin is a bad choice. bitcoin created for some benefit. such as ease of various financial transactions that we do. bitcoin use it wisely, use for something useful.

a few people take advantages from bitcoin's characteristic that is anonymously (even it is not exactly anonymous), to do something bad like buying drugs. but it is not a right deed. drugs itself is not a very useful thing unless in medic.

so I myself never bought drugs with bitcoin or another currency.
2858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: January 01, 2017, 02:56:02 PM
You can't really tell how many but you could just estimate. It's all about that like the human population, it's hard to say the actual number. You can't count your hair but you could estimate. It increases everyday for sure, some maybe just use it for business but not always being used.
true you can only make estimates or predictions of course, no way to calculate the exact total bitcoin users. but perhaps it estimates it could describe the number of users bitcoin

that's right. we can use statistic theories to count, but the result will not be the exact number of people using bitcoin. besides there is a factor that makes the count cannot be measured exactly. if we count it based on wallet address, then there is a person who has some address right? so it would be difficult to count it exactly.
2859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: War of words - the effect of language on Bitcoin on: January 01, 2017, 02:51:08 PM
when I hear word " virtual", my mental picture is something I cannot touch. I think it is what most people think about. but when I hear word "cryptocurrency", it sounds cool. my mental picture is a currency in another shape. so I prefer to use cryptocurrency.
2860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: January 01, 2017, 02:45:21 PM
I think you forgot one thing. even if someone has the best skill ever exists in this world, but when he/she does not have will in his heart, or he is to lazy to take benefit from his skill, then it would be useless anyway.

so, just add "will" or we can say kind of "motivation" to earn bitcoin.
