2841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Serious Bitcoin Security Warning!!! on: October 24, 2019, 01:51:17 PM
I am not aware of this but I'm not using a QR code and there is a warning
Quote
"[As QR] codes are not humanly readable, it opens an avenue for fraud," added ZenGo's Tal Be'ery.
This will cast a bad light in using QR code for now on because it is not readable, there is no way to know if the code is real of from a different address, I will not advise people to stop using it, but they know that something like this exists and they have to take extra precaution when dealing with QR code.
You can't encourage people to stop using QR code , instead  encourage them to use only the QR code from the trusted provider ... not from a random free websites,  it must be well known provider/generator so whenever there's something wrong you can take something further.

It's not secret anymore, it's not surprised ... your data is never safe online. Instead blaming the tool or something else, how about to level up your personal ability to defend your own data in this digital era? in this interrelated computing era? It's inevitable that you are at risk once you get connected to internet, once you get connected with other devices.

QR code is fine , the users not .
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 24, 2019, 11:39:11 AM
I like the group stage of UEFA EL, cause there are lot of matches, 24 in total today
Usually I am betting a parlay every Thursday not looking at the teams at all, it'a a bet that I'm doing because statistically I win more times that I've lost it

It's simple, all 24 matches, Asian Total - Over 0.5

Today it's a total odds of @3.95 (sportsbet.io)

Will see what will be my singles for tonight later

Good luck  Cool
Daymn over 0.5 goals for all of the matches? Never crossed in my mind to do this lol , are you often doing this kind bet ? How's the result so far? I don't really like poor odds especially to make it a parlay ... it's not worth to me but sure it's gonna be a fun way to bet Grin.

I usually making a bet for highest scoring half for 2nd half in Europa League matches , creating 5 to 15 parlay with average total odds @50 and @100 , last season was a good season for me to hit @100 for more than 5 times .

Tonight I've set my target to get at least 100k tron on these highest scoringhalf > 2nd half :

Besiktas vs sporting braga
Qarabag vs APOEL
Young boys vs feyenoord
Partizan vs Manchester united
Slovan Bratislava vs Wolverhampton wanderers
Ludogorets vs espanyol

I just mixed them up with both teams to score so I can get the odds of @100 in total.

Wish me luck!
2843  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: October 24, 2019, 10:09:06 AM

P.S. I could not parlay today on sportsbet for Europa League. I kept getting the message Odds have changed no matter how many times I refreshed. Even tried logging in and out, didn't work. My settings are also to accept odd changes, so not sure what went wrong.
It works fine on me , just made 10 parlay out of 24 matches tonight . Honestly I missed the old sportsbet.io version with really light and fast to load , I've complained this since they decided to transform the interface into a new and fresh one ... i feel now it's heavy to load even with my 150mbps internet speed and the best iPad available on the store.

I think everyone missed directbet ... I can make 100 bet slip in just a couple of minutes , good memories.

Steve you might want to take a look at these ..

Sorry if the image was not clear , couldn't find any better .
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 24, 2019, 08:19:25 AM
I already donate a decent sum of money I make from crypto to charitable organizations and charities, and though I'm overall not very profitable in gambling (very few people are), I'd certainly consider donating a portion of that money to a good cause. There's an exceptionally slim chance I win any sort of large lottery or a significant underdog bet in the first place (due to my risk management strategies in esports gambling), though, so that's something I don't plan on thinking about until it actually happens, if it happens.
It's hard job to maintain your profit in gambling... you might got +50mbtc today , donate it 10mbtc cash 20mbtc out and gamble again the rest of 20mbtc , lost your 20mbtc bankroll > re-deposit your previous 20mbtc profit busted all and you start thinking it's a mistake to donate the funds at the first place which it makes really bad to have such thoughts in your head. At least that's what I'm feeling .. gambling bring you more negativity aura than the positive one due its deep regret after losing.

Mixed feelings to do this especially if you win small amount of money only , things could be different if you win huge like a $3 lottery to win $300,000 .

I've done this a lot of times anyways.. so please don't get me wrong Grin
2845  Economy / Economics / Re: The Latest Crypto Price Dip Is Fueled By Fake News Relating to Quantum Computers on: October 24, 2019, 07:17:53 AM

Feel free to disagree, I 100% don't mind. But please remember events which do not directly affects markets or stocks like the 9/11 World Trade Center bombings crashed the US stock market to an extreme degree. Its not necessarily the direct impact that matters but rather the psychology and worst case scenario.

I see what you mean .. there's no such thing as coincidence , everything that happens is the result of something else movement. We just need to collect the data as much as possible ( in this case .. analyzing what's going on with bitcoin market getting drop ) a sudden fall right after Google claims major breakthrough in quantum computing... is so relatable in fact that the quantum computer pretty clear threatening cryptography system which is cryptocurrency and bitcoin itself is in it, a serious security breach awaits... that's the concern isn't it?

Nobody can judge that it's not the 'quantum computer' factor ... causing the market fall or just the reverse.
2846  Economy / Gambling / Re: JETWIN | SPORTS & CASINO | #1 FOR IN-PLAY BETTING on: October 24, 2019, 06:00:56 AM
I have created a thread here and will create a official complain soon with everyone i possibly can.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5195008.0

I would like proof or review of the decision that i have " numerous accounts" it is false, and the farthest thing from the truth.
There has been some sort of error and I have all the proof needed to show i have only one account. Thank you
I like this bookie due they have a lot of events to offer even from the very small league/division,  you won't find any crypto sportsbetting with such large coverage anywhere else but in jetwin.

Unfortunately yes they have a super slow customer service which this problem been exist even since 3 years ago! There's no improvement even worse , this causing a lot of abandoned accusations as you can see in your thread someone has mentioned some of them.

They seems lack of professionalism, my withdrawal in the last few months took more than 24 hours in average to be processed due they have to do it manually, that's why I risk a little amount of money only here, I'm not saying they are scam ... they still paying though.. just the way they threat customers it's 4 out of 10.
2847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statement against people who say Bitcoin is a Scam on: October 23, 2019, 11:54:58 PM
I always find people who think that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency assets are busting money and sometimes there are people who always assume that investing in bitcoin is fraught with hacker risk.
on the other hand I cannot assume that their opinions are wrong, but on the other hand I cannot justify their statements.
I always think that people who have opinions like that are people who don't really know about blockchain technology, or they just read from one of the articles that happens to provide news about a "dark" case in bitcoin, so they often assume that bitcoin is a range against hackers and scam.

what do you think about finding people like that and how will you react to them?
Educate yourself start from the very basic cryptocurrency, blockchain technology behind bitcoin to the very technical aspects about bitcoin so you can break every single statement they judged about how they think bitcoin as a biggest scam or whatever they called it. We can't dictate what you should explain/ answer in case you meet that typical guy who have bad view about bitcoin as the questions or statements might be various.

I mean some people think that 'bitcoin value is based on nothing , based on thin air ( trump style ) it could fall down anytime , it's scam!' Well you can simply reply them with 'how about USD currency, What is the USD based on?' Start with that to confuse them, it works on me Grin.

Moreover if there's someone doubting the bitcoin security like taking an example on how there's a lot of bitcoin worth millions dollar stolen... there's nothing safe on the internet, convincing them by elaborate how the blockchain system designed more secure with cryptographic algorithms etc. That's why once again you need to educate yourself .

Unfortunately Ajax won't win over chelsea! Mark my words .. this gonna be a draw or chelsea. Double chance.

Not sure buddy, you know how Ajax surprised last year and now also even with their two players gone they pretty much are same in performance. They are top in the group so far and haven't conceded a single goal yet in two matches.

Chelsea might have found their form back again but facing Ajax won't be easy. Excited to see which way it will go.
Did you marked my words mate? Grin I had strong feeling about this and my guts proven right several times this week ... chelsea won it! Really enjoying the match it was an intense match , very open game .. both teams making a super pressure everytime having possession which it's so entertaining! No holding the ball back , just straight attacking as both badly needed the win to secure the 1st place to qualify for the next round as early as possible.

It's not a luck for chelsea to win this hard away game, simply it's the team quality! under Frank lampard The youngsters have been transformed into a world class player! The way chelsea playing, handle the pressure and bring the precious 3points home, it's so satisfying .

Better luck next time at Stamford Bridge, Ajax Wink .
2849  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin freelancing is dead? on: October 23, 2019, 07:26:35 PM
I've never really seen Bitcoin freelancing as separate from freelancing. I was a freelancer/self-employed person for a period of time until 2006, before having made the decision to relocate to a new place in 2015/16... forcing me to return to freelancing and remote work.

I still took a time to rebuild networks and reputation, before the gigs started flowing back in. And I had to work for a long time to slowly convince people (employers) to pay in bitcoin. Until around 2018 even, some were still paying in paypal or even bank wire but as of today, all my main clients are 100% crypto (only 1 pays in alt) and the few who still insist on paypal or others I no longer focus on as much.

So in practical aspects, I'm about virtually 100% freelancing for bitcoin.

Freelancing works better on upwork and other non-crypto specific platforms (ie. work your ass off by reaching out to people). Then it's your job to convince them to pay in btc. I offer a discount on my rates for bitcoin payments, and that's the clincher. They save 3%-5% on costs, I make it up by also gaining bitcoin feeless and I sell it on a good rate p2p.
I couldn't have said it any better , relying on a freelancer sites with the current bad trends bitcoin market won't give you any solutions... people tend to play safe lately, rather than have to risking themselves buy some bitcoin to pay services while the value could dropped drastically, is it makes any sense? Of course it is.

I was seoclercks customer back in 2014 / 2015 .. I choose them because they accept bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin ... guess they are no longer accept crypto payment since 2017/2018 for undisclosed reason. Now I feel the same like OP who thinks that the crypto freelancers it seems slowly dead left out, that's from a customer view.

Hi guyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys, it was me who won the TRX LAST MAN PROMO hahahahhah Smiley

As promised in the chat i will make a tattoo on my belly with SPORTSBET.IO logo on it Smiley)))))))))))))))))))

I thought the winner isn't a bitcointalk member Grin well here you are been around for a while too eh? , well done. You shouldn't feel sorry as the concept of the promo itself is the last man standing ... you need to beat them and become a solo winner anyways Grin .

1 million trx , try to double it up? Put'em all in barcelona to win both halves against slavia praha , easy... yeah easy to bust them all haha dont do that.

I guess There's a lot of lucky factor on you mate considering you were informed about this promo only 1 hour before the opt-in deadline and there's a lot of people eliminated in the first round like me , it was unexpected.

Yesterday was a good day for me as I won the ticket with three games,Atletico Madrid,Psg and Juventus.I thought that Juventus would fail me as I was watching the game but they scored two goals in 3 minutes.

Also I have another ticket with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid won but I need Ajax to win tonight to make it a winner.I am not sure about Ajax so I will use the cashout feature from Sportsbet and not risk it.
I think many people won money yesterday night as all games ended with bulldogs winning their games.
It was easy money yesterday ..

Atletico madrid
PSG
Real madrid

Multibet moneyline provide you @4.6 , i got this one Grin

I was sweating though.. seeing atletico playing style in the first half they were struggling with Leverkusen quick counter, losing hope till morata subbed in and break the deadlock at the last 15 minutes.
Have no doubt about Juventus to make a comeback when they are down since HT ... got an odds @2.4 in the early second half for them to turn the situation around , terrible odds but I won it Grin . We won it.

Unfortunately Ajax won't win over chelsea! Mark my words .. this gonna be a draw or chelsea. Double chance.
2852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Telegram (GRAM tokens) to be live in few weeks on: October 23, 2019, 06:37:29 AM
The roadmap seems out of the track several times , the stable TON scheduled to deploy on fourth quarter 2018 but then delayed .
And now the token distribution delayed to by the end of first quarter of 2020 ... possibly early second quarter 2020
When they started the private sale they had a deadline of October 31 to launch the TON if not they will refund every investor and now the SEC has interfered in that it all depends upon how the investors will corporate with all these legal battles, things are looking gleam for the Telegram team to launch this project and if the majority of the investors decline their approval to extend the release of the TON then they need to start refunding everyone and it will be another loss for the team, it all depends on how the team will handle all these hurdles.
I heard that telegram offering their investors 77% refund if they don't agree about this postponed launching, quite huge loss and smells something really wrong. This might be the reason why early investors breached the purchase agreement ( I have mentioned above ) .

Those early investors making contracts with several exchange companies to sell their tokens which it's clearly stated that kind action is not allowed based on the purchase agreement , the second and third party buyers probably will never receive the tokens in the end due these confusing scheme. Idk exactly but that's my observation so far ... looking for an answer here and there it seems people didn't interested or have no idea what's going on?

I personally seeing this situation as an opportunity.. a token worth $4 now on sale only for $1.7 and getting lower day by day , take it or leave it.

Does anybody here still make it?

Yes man! 11 players left and I'm of them. it is now very hard to predict when we you it is very close. I wish myself and the remain 10 players could for the same thing and lose 90,000 TRX is still much to win  Grin

goodluck to everyone!

11 participants left and there are still several days to go, lets see whether there will be some or at least 1 participant who can stay till the last day. This makes me wonder how if all of these 11 participants failed to reach the last stage? Will be there a new competition as the prize goes nowhere?
If all participants failed hopefully they make a new competition start the following week with the same competition. Want to try my luck again Grin

no, prize will be divided between the 11 participants.
Oh well how is it going? Is your prediction on the 2nd goal time range come close  Grin ... 65' now still no goal , atletico Madrid well known as a defensive team if they going to win this match they might win it with single goal margin or lose it with 1 goal margin too .

There's 25 minutes left , they could score two goals anytime but honestly I think the match will ended goalless,  the odds for no goals scored is at @7.7 last time I check at the early first half.
2854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stable Coins are a Threat for Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2019, 01:48:56 PM
Stable coins are not used to short Bitcoin, but rather to give traditional investors that are used to more stable commodities a safe option to invest in Crypto currencies. A lot of the more traditional investors are not used to the crazy volatility of Bitcoin and are hesitant to invest in something with high volatility, so they opt for asset backed Stable coins.  Roll Eyes

Most of the money invested in those coins are just converted back to fiat currencies, so it has no impact on the Bitcoin price.  Roll Eyes Tether might be a trading pair with Bitcoin in some way.   Huh
This stable coin concept is something that most of crypto stakeholders aware that its threat is not to beat bitcoin popularity or even its functionality, as you said the stable coin vision is as a safe investment... i mean a traditional investors at some point looking for a place to custody their funds, they are looking for a place where you don't need to cash the money out but store it on a safe investment which at this point stable coin is the preferred one.

The real threat about this stablecoin is that nobody knows whether the 1 USDT is really pegged to 1 USD ...
1 PAX, is it really pegged to 1 ounce gold?

Can they prove it all?
These market is surely manipulated to keep the price stable , let's see how long it will last. There's nothing to do with bitcoin.

I was eliminated in the 2nd stage, my prediction was wrong, the total corner was 13+ Sad  today 11 participants left to go to stage 3 and I just watched
I hope in the near future sportbet.io will hold a contest like this again

You got better result than me because I failed on the first stage as I predicted the match to have 2+ goals on the first half. I was happy when Sane scored a goal but the VAR decision made me feel sad as it was happened on the last minute so I had no chance to win the first stage.
11 participants left and there are still several days to go, lets see whether there will be some or at least 1 participant who can stay till the last day. This makes me wonder how if all of these 11 participants failed to reach the last stage? Will be there a new competition as the prize goes nowhere?
Crazy VAR ruined my day, that disallowed mane goal at the first half should have make it 2 goals at first half... I was overconfident that the first half of United vs liverpool would have at least two goals scored considering a lot of aspects like the stats head to head shows how this clash often score more in the first half, just check the last 5 H2H between them also considering how united playing without several key players like pogba, but that's football always serve you unexpected things. Failed at the first round just like you daymnnnn.

Goodluck to those who survive..

2856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 22, 2019, 10:27:20 AM
I think Arsenal will win against Sheff Utd because in my mind Arsenal will find it easy to overthrow it but in fact Arsenal will not be able to pay even if it is 1 goal.

Including I lost the bet predictions.
If you look at match statistics, Arsenal have the right to win over Sheffield. But the game was not as expected. A total of 7 shots and 3 of them on target made Arsenal unlucky in this match. I think the bookie has won this match, where many gamblers hope the Arsenal will win the match. The referee issued 8 yellow cards for this match, it looks like a difficult match. I didn't watch, but I think it's a difficult match for both clubs.

If you look at the statistics, the two teams are not so far apart. It's just that possession of the ball more Arsenal. But the ball is not enough, all need goals in the match. I think because it's not so far statistically, therefore Arsenal have to admit that Sheff Utd won. Because their play is not very satisfying.
That is true .. in the modern football having a possession dominating the game won't guarantee you any good results... if you look at arsenal playing style in the last few years where they are trophyless before that 2017 FA cup trophy of course , they have a good possession stats lyke 60-40 or so but the opponent team have the same amount shots on target which makes arsenal ineffective both on attacking and defending.

I have no idea why such a big club didn't learn what's wrong.. and again Sheffield United prove it all that the possession game just make they are even more under pressure especially everytime they left behind ... plus a good solid sheff utd defense make arsenal on their top level of frustration, I've predicted the game would have ended draw but when I watch them playing live I decided to turn my bet around for home to win at delicious @5.2 odds.
2857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 22, 2019, 09:39:39 AM
In my opinion your friend private key was save in messager and other people knows that then it simply possible to hack although this is not offline wallet man. Even you can store your private key in hardware device then i hope hacker will not attack your wallet. Don't be putting your private key any others site because hackers will give you more offer.
How could you have a clue about he might stored/write the private key on messenger? lol it sounds random guesses to me. OP didn't elaborate the whole story specifically and I believe everyone here is clueless about what's happening that causing he lost the coins inside his offline wallet.

We don't even know what kind offline wallet he used ... is it a paper wallet? An USB wallet like trezor...? Or what it is exactly. I feel safe enough to have paper wallet where the crucial moment to me when you want to access this offline paper wallet you have to be careful about the spyware that could always records your private key whenever you input them.

That's all what I can say ..
2858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Telegram (GRAM tokens) to be live in few weeks on: October 22, 2019, 08:20:57 AM
where did you get the news? That's a bad thing and i also invested on gram. I don't know what's going to happen eversince this SEC is holding back big projects even the team is coordinating way back in the past and now when gram is successful and scheduled they are opening up for a possible case that they can issue. This is only for my own opinion
you can read about the delay here https://cointelegraph.com/news/tons-force-majeure-clause-is-telegram-about-to-refund-investors
from the news above, it seems like they are going to "keep" investors money until the date. Unless you are a US-based investor, there will be a way for you to take it back if you are insisting to.

Look at the bright side, fellas. Take note of the date: April 20, 2020. That's a month away from Bitcoin halving. So it is most likely that Bitcoin will get a price boost before,on or after the halving which is just in time for GRAM listing in Binance or other exchanges, it might not get dumped at all on listing.
I just found a lot of confusion about this project.

1. The token sale system

Simple Agreement for Future Tokens (SAFT)

They sold the gram token on private sale for 0.37 USD at the first round SAFT and for 1.33 USD at the second round SAFT.

There's an agreement for those buyers/investors to not sell any of them until the official distribution made. Just look at this purchase agreement I got from coindesk ..

Aaaand there's quoine..
Liquid...
Gram Asia...

Announced that they are selling the tokens for $4 each which I believe these sale is not official, I mean it's clearly stated that nobody allowed to do so.

Another thing makes me confused that there's GRAM/USDT trading pair on digifinex since few weeks ago , the price @1.8 USDT!

How could this happened?

2. The roadmap

The roadmap seems out of the track several times , the stable TON scheduled to deploy on fourth quarter 2018 but then delayed .
And now the token distribution delayed to by the end of first quarter of 2020 ... possibly early second quarter 2020

Ajax -Chelsea

Guess Ajax will win again. They played really bad last weekend against RKC but against better teams they just play way better. Guess it will be 2-0 for Ajax.
This gonna be a battle of young talents,  ajax well known as a club that often giving their young players a regular time to play and most of them ended become a rising youngstar such as Dennis bergkamp, Van der sar, zlatan Ibrahimovic, eriksen and the latest one frankie de Jong & de ligt.

They still have ziyech and van de beek now while chelsea recently under Frank Lampard perform so well with 3 youngsters in the line up like tammy abraham, Mason mount and tomori. I have no idea who will win the match, a draw might be the fairest result for both... despite I expect chelsea to win at least with 1 goal margin only.

So here's the choice for me :

Chelsea to win with 1 goal margin
HT draw
FT draw

Watch out! It happens often when even the very best form cub against the worst club ended unexpectedly especially in this match where both teams looking for a turning point to back on the winning track or just get their first winning after a bad start of the season.
Told ya guyss .. tottenham are on its worst performance considering they are the champions league finalist it's just ridiculous they are struggling now.
This kind match betting always tricky, i knew it my guts telling me! Luckily I've placed bet right before Tottenham scored a goal to equalize.. I got very nice odds @5.2 for the draw and then few moments later at 86' dele Alli make it happened  , thanks to him for the gift Grin .

Anyways
Crystal palace vs Manchester city now live!
2 goals from gabriel jesus and David Silva, another day another aggressive Manchester city,
I might go for under 3.5 goals , decent odds there
