Forgot to say I found the first litecoin block and several after Cool. It was with rented rigs though as I don't own any scrypt hardware.

Unfortunately I don't have the spare btc or money to rent sha256 rigs to combat my demon of the 0 bitcoin blocks found by renting rigs Sad.
Do you mind me asking where you rent the scrypt mining rigs and if you make profit off of it?
I rented rigs from miningrigrentals.com and yes did make a small profit for the first few days however that has now gone after re-investing in more rentals which included sha256 rigs for solo mining bitcoin. I took a gamble and it sort of paid off for a while but now my gambling pot is pretty much empty Embarrassed.
So would you reccomend sticking with Litecoin mining?
If you have some btc to play with probably yes if you can afford to lose it. This is gambling and same as any other type don't do it if you cant afford to lose it. I decided one night I would gamble 1btc on solo mining litecoin on this site and it paid off, ended up with 1.5. Re-invested it gradually and lost it so it didn't work out for me, but gambling has never been my strong point lol. I had it to play with so it hasn't effected my life at all, just a bummer I lost it that's all.

Panther52 -- your call.  If you want pics, I'll post pics.  Feel free to PM the folks who've bought from me before.  If you want escrow, I'll do escrow with OgNasty.  I don't feel it's necessary, but some super paranoid people here who think I'm a scammer that bought or hacked my account and shows as -4 trust (default) thinks otherwise.

M
Either post or send me pics via PM.

I sent you a PM earlier.

Right now I am leaning towards agreeing to go without escrow.
Actually post pics.

I reviewed your trading history and am fairly confident that I will be safe.

Pics posted, see #1.

M
Looks good. Is it safe to assume that it would not be feasible to get it shipped tonight (and that doing so would not get it here any quicker)?

You are correct.  Next shipping goes out Monday.  Do you have a preference of Fedex, UPS, or USPS?  I'll probably go with USPS priority, but I haven't checked prices yet.

M

I cant believe that CrazyRabbi has left you negative feedback Shocked surely that can be removed.

Yes very transparent Grin.

The 0 blocks found for bitcoin is driving me mad (must be my ocd lol) but I only have 850GH to point there, pool needs some extra hashrate to find the first one so I can sleep at night Cheesy.

aTg is a good guy I'd love to help his pool find its first block.

Someone needs to find a bitcoin block on this pool, calling out to anyone with spare hashrate to give it a go Wink.

2874  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB UK] Raspberry Pi on: December 20, 2014, 11:13:38 PM
Looking to buy a Raspberry Pi to use as an asic controller.

Looking for one ideally complete with card and power supply and within the UK to keep postage costs down.

Not worried if its new or used as long as it works properly and cheaper than ebay Tongue.

What about letting people register with an email address so you can send them details of when a block is found and by who. Again hopefully that could be automated.

Wish granted, now available a mailing list for notification of new blocks, to register just have to send an empty mail to

list-subscribe@solomining.com

to erase

list-unsubscribe@solomining.com

That's a great new feature thank you, I've just subscribed Smiley.
2878  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: December 20, 2014, 01:38:16 AM
Thx hedgy I'm going to check that out.  I'm looking to get a rpi just for the fun of it. There was a post in the fish pool that said the tubes would work using bfgminer but I haven't been able to get it to work or confirm that anyone else has.

No problem Smiley. Same here with the rpi, been looking around not sure which one to get to be honest as I haven't had one before...

I'm not sure about bfgminer I'm afraid but like cgminer so that'll do me Cheesy.
2879  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: December 19, 2014, 10:44:47 PM
Glad you got it sorted, its pretty easy to get the pool details wrong, I've done it enough times Wink.

Don't know whether you're interested but there's a couple of threads where Novac has built a usb controller for tubes and prismas which will allow you to use these on any pool I think rather than the select few available at the moment. They will control your tube via a pc, raspberry pi or beaglebone using cgminer. This replaces the tubes original controller with inherent problems.

The DIY thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857048 and the group buy thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=882348.

I've ordered myself some, they're dirt cheap (only $4.50 ea.) and he sorts out very reasonable shipping rates. I'm getting 3 sent to the UK with economy shipping for 0.0635 which I think is very good.
2880  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: December 19, 2014, 06:49:39 PM
Also check the units I.P. address is still what it should be same with your pool settings though the software just in case you've touched the reset button on the controller by mistake.
