Their target is to get the coin's price-point between .25 and $1 within the first year. But I agree, he should try and cater the investment crowd (such as this forum) to help build momentum of the coin, thus, building it's value.

Targets are fine, but anyone can make up any number as a target. If they truly want the coin to get to .25 or higher, this is the place the devs need to be right now.

I recall @boxxa making a comment on the fud regarding the android artifact post, so they do at least read here sometimes. But they need to do more than sometimes take a look here ... they need to be actively posting in this forum, like many devs do.

the mining diff needs to be increased but devs are miners so i dont see it happening unfortunately.
yet the mzc price is so low its almost like they are shooting themself in the foot.

whats the point of giving 1000 free mzc to the indians when they are worth jack shit?

it would be much better to give them something thats worth there time.

mzc at 1 dollar is a 1000.00 in value
mzc at 1 cent  is 10 dollars

and the cost to buy a computer or android phone is negative

you cant buy enough groceries for a day what a joke.

if the price keeps dropping ppl lose interest.
look at the numerous dead coins only time is when there any movement is a pump and dump

That is one of the things I don't understand. Payu can go around promoting the coin, talk to tribal leaders, make videos, and that's fine. Yet if he stopped in this forum, or one of his developers did, actively promoted here and answered questions, the price of the coin probably would go up more -- and it'd be in their best interest. $10 worth of mazu probably won't make a huge difference to anyone, while $500-$1000 could, as you pointed out.

They really need to put more effort into getting the price stabilized at a semi-decent level.

I'm in too deep to sell out and then cash back in, I bought in at 10K Cry

Depending on how deep you are, you may want to average that out. Buy a bunch cheap, and your break even level could get down to 3-5K. Then again, that only works if you didn't go insane and buy a ton at 10K, as then it becomes a bit risky... and expensive.

Received the 1000 Mint for the deposit address, but not the 5000 twitter or 10000 for trading yet.

Have you seen this shit?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=508871.0

Some people are truly sad.

Yeah, that's where herp lives now, mostly talking to himself. Either he is being paid to do this, wants to buy in cheap, or has mental problems.

Just got an interesting PM from someone.

Quote
I think it's all an elaborate pump & dump
Most account for the coin on this forum are shills/ghosts of the person behind it
Payu is a pansy if not worse
it is sad Lakota is being dragged into the dirt
I suspect "they" are waiting for the right moment to drop the tribal 50 mil coins + 10-20 mil of their own

If that isn't the definition of fud, I don't know what is.
2867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: March 11, 2014, 08:17:43 PM
I made a reddit post outlining my thoughts on the popular FUD that came about in the last thread. I would appreciate if you guys comment on it, help me add to it, or just upvote for visibility. Thanks!

http://www.reddit.com/r/mazacoin/comments/205w90/is_it_a_scam_heres_a_breakdown_of_the_fud_where/

Nice, I think you touched on most of the main concerns people have. If Payu has time, he'd be smart to address some of those here in this forum too.

Clarity regarding anonymouspirate would help. I would think there must be some contract or signed agreement amongst the three creators of the coin, and in that contract should be language stopping one of the devs from creating copycats. If not, they wrote up a silly contract.

The other issue could be how they plan to actually distribute the funds. I originally thought they'd set it up so maza would go to tribal councils/groups directly, and such councils would then distribute the funds to local causes and new businesses. Distributing maza to each individual is much more problematic.

How do they plan to handle that? I've read of suggestions such as android phones and such, but not sure how viable that is. Maybe just give paper wallets to everyone? There is a cost to that, but it certainly has to be less than a phone.
2868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mazacoin ** FAKE Sovereign Currency ** on: March 11, 2014, 07:56:42 PM
Nope an investment strategy is spending all day making comments about a coin you are not interested in, do not own,  do not intend to own and do not like.

That is an investment strategy that makes sense...  how to invest your time in something you do not care about -  seems legit  Cheesy Cheesy

Does that make any sense to any rational human being? hmmm  no!  'fraid it does not make ANY sense, not a single micron of it.

You see herp,  an unintended consequence of your actions..  are that in fact you have convinced more people of the total opposite of that which you set out to do.

"Methinks the lady doth protest to much"   I seem to remember the saying to be.

Anyways- have fun : )

edit- if someone is paying you for this- you should get the sack and go re take psyc

Agree entirely.

It is pretty obvious that no rational person would behave like Herp has been. It's not just the fact he spent all day posting comments -- he's been doing it for several days -- got kicked off one thread for posting fud (and supposedly racist comments), started his own, and kept it up, non-stop. There are some valid concerns, but they get drowned out by the more outlandish statements made. A similar poster went so far as to make up a conspiracy theory over artifacts in a jpg screenshot for the android wallet, which of course was debunked a few minutes later when the actual android wallets were released.

So advice for Herp -- if being paid for this, perhaps rethink your strategy. Anyone reading your comments will dismiss then as a whole, because you are going way overboard.

If not being paid, or not trying to lower the price to buy in, perhaps seek psychological help. Nobody who isn't invested in this coin would spend this much time on it, and no sane person would post like you have.
2869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TiPS ★ Kimotos Gravity Well ★ World first coin anonymizer launched! on: March 11, 2014, 07:29:55 PM
Curious if anything was going on with this coin, and I agree with others, Tips makes so much more sense as a name, and the other logo/coin design is better. That said, I guess it's up to the devs ... if the coin sinks to like 10 litoshis, maybe they'll come around.

The new logo is okay, but my first impression really has nothing to do with tipping others. I guess it's the fedora and shield-like background, but my first thought was that it should be a logo for a 1950s private eye coin or a security company.
2870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mazacoin ** FAKE Sovereign Currency ** on: March 11, 2014, 04:56:36 AM
Just found out that Herp is a subcontractor working for the US GOV.

Either that, or he forgot to take his medications for the past several days. No normal person would spend this much time studying a coin they haven't invested in.... and posting nonstop about it on several threads.
2871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 10, 2014, 08:11:53 PM
It would benefit Harris if he would stop in over here and post some answers/info to concerns. At the very least, he could clear some issues up (hopefully).

This may not be the place they put out info, but this is one of the main places investors read. They should have a rep over here.
2872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 10, 2014, 07:58:35 PM

Really? I've heard it's the other way around. Pirate was the brain of the operation and Payu just the patsy they've used to boost the coin.

Leaked content of emails proved this.

Don't you find it funny the Dev started "Canada national crypto"? A project where Payu should not be involved?

Yeah, leaked emails... okay...

BTC Oyate Initiative  has been around a while.
2873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 10, 2014, 07:54:06 PM
Logically you would have thought Harris + team would have had the developer sign an agreement not to copy the look/layout of the maza coin site for any other coins he may make. I mean, there must have been some copyright agreement?

The dev can make whatever coins he wants, but he shouldn't have been able to basically copy/paste the same website + appearance as maza. Perhaps Harris doesn't even know about it.
2874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 10, 2014, 07:06:27 PM
Really such a bizarre thread. I am not sure I've seen so much negativity towards a coin, and unwarranted negativity at that.

There are several serious concerns, yep. The same can be said of tons of alt coins.

Yet strangely we get Herp posting non-stop about every little thing. Spreading fud, calling people shills if they differ with his opinion, and making outlandish claims. I was waiting for him to say that native americans don't really exist and the coin made them up.

We get others stating for a fact the price will sink to nothing! Get out while you can! Like their goal in posting is to be charitable and they really care for others...

Anyway, I guess 99% of people go with the pump and dump mindset. If a coin doesn't go crazy right away, it's dead, no reason to consider it. I find it a bizarre way of thinking. I expect a large percentage of naysayers are just spreading fud to lower the price, so they can buy it cheap... in a way, I hope that is the case, as otherwise they are trolls with mental issues.
2875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 10, 2014, 06:06:24 PM
I see Herp is still going at it. Guess he's spreading fud to bring the price down, so he can buy it up. Either that, or he has a mental disorder, as no sane person would spend this much time, hours and hours, posting the same things over and over.

There are some valid concerns, but when a person complains about every little thing, make outlandish claims, and constantly, repeatedly, bashes a coin, the only logical reason is because they want to drive the price down so they can profit.

And a common troll tactic is to call other people a troll ... or in this case, anyone with a differing opinion a shill.

2877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In What coin do I have to invest to make MILLIONS? on: March 10, 2014, 04:48:31 AM
Bit_Happy has the best answer.  Cheesy

Alternative is to buy some lottery tickets and hope for the best.

Do your own research. You won't make millions, but you could certainly make some money. But don't invest anything that you aren't prepared to lose.

If I was given $300 to play with, I might consider Etherium when it comes out. Or save up some more and buy a decent PC and just do some mining.
2878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NOBL] NobleCoin Paper Wallet and Design contest! *Rewarding all entries!* on: March 09, 2014, 10:38:21 PM
Another altcoin? ? Smiley

NobleCoin? Smiley

Maybe NoobeCoin Cheesy

We will see Smiley what is special with your coin OP? What makes it better than other ?

I guess this post is a great example of the lack of marketing for the coin so far.

NobleCoin has been out a little while now. They even have their own marketplace where you can buy amazon and newegg giftcards using NobleCoin. And they have helped fund a water project.

Although I do wonder now that CoinPayments is going down, what they will use for their marketplace.
2879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin (DarkSend) | No Premine | Runs 30% cooler than scryp on: March 09, 2014, 09:30:06 PM
about the darksend open source dillema - how about this, the dev could put on darkcoin.io that the source will be made open once DRK reaches the price of $100 per coin. That would mean it's well established and known by then

There's no guarantee it will ever reach that price, especially if people don't trust it, if would make a laughing stock of darkcoin. It's possible to hire from private firms for a security audit of the code. These are professionals in their field and are probably held to NDAs.

still open source gives people a better "feeling" and is in line with all the crypto - from the people to the people.

A statement on the darkcoin.io site reading something along these lines: "We believe in sharing but we also believe that inovation should be rewarded. To give DRK a fair advantage over the future clones the DarkSend source will be made public once DRK reaches a market cap of X."

I think that's nothing to laugh about

A professional audit of the code, with NDAs, makes the most sense to me. Saying a coin will be open source when it hits a certain level is sort of meaningless, unless it's a dinky number ($2/coin), as who knows if it'd ever get there? Would saying DarkCoin will go open source when it hits $50-100/coin make anyone feel any better really?

The better idea is to do the professional audit, and if you really want an open source sort of comment... go with a disclaimer that the developer may at some point open source the project if he feels it is warranted, if it reaches wide acceptance. And to me, wide acceptance = bitcoin popularity (so years and years from now).
2880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why dont the AURORA Coin team just use BITCOIN? on: March 09, 2014, 08:22:35 PM
The premine of course would be the logical reason they can't use bitcoin.

I haven't followed this coin very closely, but if we pretend it wasn't a scam, the premine would be needed so the receivers would actually get anything. But then it turns into another problem of the early receivers being the only ones getting much at all, as they would sell their coins, meaning those who got/sold them last would only make a tiny, tiny percentage of the coin's current worth.

As a scam, it makes much more sense, as the dev can sell of some of his coins, slowly not to kill the price. Then if he wanted, he could airdrop some of them, again sell more off... bring up 'complications' or some reason that all of the coins couldn't be given away, and make a nice bundle. I'm not even sure from a logistics standpoint how the coins could be given away.

I guess what possibly could work with this sort of giveaway is if there was a trusted 3rd party, perhaps what maza could do if they wanted (tribal councils, non-fiat bank), or something like that ... or a group that used the coins to help the community rather than give coins to each individual person.

Although we don't need more junk coins (and may give someone ideas here how to scam people), something like a Famine or Red Cross coin could potentially work, IF the receiver of the coins wasn't corrupt, and also didn't simply dump all the coins immediately to kill the price. The coins could be used to improve living conditions or as-needed vs giving to each individual person.
