What are these "pirates" you are talking about?

It's a seabound criminal attacking ships for their cargo and ransom.
2862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prevents Global Warming on: March 21, 2013, 04:31:53 PM
When it's cold people stay at home and trade bitcoins to beat the boredom?
2863  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: tilera processor and card or manycore processor on: March 21, 2013, 03:55:52 PM
so in two years, you think their hardware didn t evolve and got any improvment in hashing speed?

where is the moore las here?

So appyling (the Internets flawed interpretation of) Moore's law the speed is now 128 MH/s. Doesn't really help now, does it?
2864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've created a Bitcoin reddit... on: March 21, 2013, 03:54:36 PM
I can't believe Atlas successfully implemented a project that did not crumble into oblivion like a shoddily built IKEA table.
2865  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: tilera processor and card or manycore processor on: March 21, 2013, 03:49:08 PM
From the old thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=23239.0 )

Quote
The CPU does not have any vector instructions (IIRC), so all arithmetic would have to be using standard integer instructions.  Consider also the low operating frequency (~800 MHz).  A comparable desktop CPU with no vector instructions does < 1MH/s, so this board will never exceed 64x1 MH/s.
2866  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: tilera processor and card or manycore processor on: March 21, 2013, 03:41:22 PM
64 M/Hs for the whole thing. It's just a bunch of CPU cores.

Oh and learn damn english: I am quiet sure that entrepreneur came from french.

I love it when people moan about the writing skills of others and failing dismally in the same sentence!

<pedantic correction>

quiet - defined as Making little or no noise

the word you want is:

quite - defined as To the utmost or most absolute extent or degree

</pedantic correction>

Ironically, the word Damn comes from French as well! Wink

Also it was a typo :-)

Damn -  sounds like latin to me.

That's cause it is.
2868  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: tilera processor and card or manycore processor on: March 21, 2013, 03:24:53 PM
no one?

Not me - but i am doing a little research into maybe trying a test now...

Don't bother. Someone did the math some years ago and it came out to 64 MH/s or something.

kadiiiiir, my good old trojanny friend. How's your "miner" doing? Got lots of idiots taken over?
2870  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [SCAM] labsnovo.com claims to have ASICs on: March 21, 2013, 01:13:10 PM
Hail Kopipastos, God of Twins.
2871  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: [POLL] Should Butterfly Labs (BFL) get a Scammer tag? on: March 21, 2013, 01:05:06 PM
Unless they start denying refunds...

They kind of have done that already.

Lol no they haven't. Name 3 [three] people who have never received a refund from BFL..

Why 3?
2872  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: [POLL] Should Butterfly Labs (BFL) get a Scammer tag? on: March 21, 2013, 11:25:56 AM
I voted yes. I'm an agent of chaos.
2873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just started mining in a pool, are these stats crap? on: March 21, 2013, 10:07:34 AM
I started yesterday night but damn, 4 cents? That's riduculous!

I wish I got on to this bitcoin thing when mining was easy.

No. 0,4 cents.
2874  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Frizz23 get a scammer tag? on: March 21, 2013, 10:05:47 AM

I voted yes. I'm an agent of chaos.

Or a fantasized internet justiciar with too much time on his hands and too many idolized entertainment industry fabrications in his past. Not that it matters.

That works too.
2875  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just started mining in a pool, are these stats crap? on: March 21, 2013, 10:00:16 AM
You have made a grand total of 0,004 USD or 0,4 US cents in 3 days. In a month you'll have 4 whole cents. In a year, you'll have made 48 cents (at current difficulty. Expect actual revenue to be way less).
2876  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What will happens when BFL will fail to deliver during the next 50 days? on: March 21, 2013, 09:54:13 AM

You don't have to license you dog?

In what banana republic do you live?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_licence

I'd guess what with the FinCEN hate, he's in that 3rd world dictatorship called the "US".
2878  Other / Off-topic / Re: Furious Anger Thread #0: Fuck FinCEN! on: March 21, 2013, 09:02:35 AM
Of course he does. You'd have dogs shitting all over he place without proper shitting schooling, training and licensing. Imagine leaving the house and being unable to because a brigade of unlicensed dogs decided to operate on your sidewalk.
2879  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitBillions New on: March 21, 2013, 08:59:32 AM
Damn.  That's a lot of sheep.
2880  Other / Off-topic / Re: Furious Anger Thread #0: Fuck FinCEN! on: March 21, 2013, 08:53:30 AM
And pretty soon you'll have to license your dog so you can tie your shoes while he takes a shit.

Why is your dog not licensed?  Huh
