2861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 15, 2021, 12:22:22 AM

Just want to share my bet (not recommended lol)

Live Betting: Hawks 58 Bucks 44 Halftime

Trae Young literally carrying the whole Atlanta Hawks with 27 points. The next one is 8 points and a bunch of 3 points. It does means that they only rely on Trae in offensive terms. If Bucks managed to contain him on post-half, it will lessen, or should I say wrecked the Hawks' offensive power. Only "What If" though.

Bucks ML @ 5.10
2862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 14, 2021, 11:59:21 PM
I don't think Casimero and Donaire would fight against each other and I'm sure that the Filipino organizers wouldn't allow it. It's better to have a single representative from each country in a single match. There will be lapses if that happens. Both Casimero and Donaire are making a good name in the industry and most Filipinos support them on their journey.

That's not how boxing matches work. PH boxers should fight anyone even it's a co-fellow PH boxer.

Take note of where these boxers start. Fighting against co-fellow PH boxers right? They climb to ranking with most PH boxers as their opponent. Some have a big break that's why able to arrange fights internationally.

Boxers will have to fight anyone regardless of the nation.

2863  Other / Off-topic / Re: Deron Williams to fight in an undercard on Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul fight. on: November 14, 2021, 11:56:24 PM
Doesnt matter on who would gonna be as long it could able to fill up their pockets. Cool

In fairness to Deron Williams, looks like he is just want to experience his interest for a long. As I said above, he is a long-time boxing and MMA enthusiast and owns a stake in Fortis MMA, a Mixed Martial Arts facility that trained MMA fighters.

Maybe he thinks, what if he will try it on actual. Nothing wrong though. Let's see what will happen next.
2864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 14, 2021, 11:53:19 PM
So if he is still maintaining that kind of lifestyle, it is really high maintenance.
He needs to earn money to sustain that kind of living. So no doubt, he agreed to have this exhibition fight.
But I don't think he will put his reputation on the line even if it is just exhibition fight.
We will see that once they are inside the ring. So I guess, better not bet if you are using your hard-earned money.

He can sustain that kind of living without doing exhibition matches. However, Tyson sees the potential money in exhibition matches without pushing a physical fight. As everyone thinks, including me, exhibition matches are staged. They just need to show some performance but the reward money is already fixed.

That's why it's not recommended to bet on exhibition matches unless everyone just wants a simple bet.
2865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take stock or hodl ? on: November 14, 2021, 11:50:00 PM
So with the current peak on Bitcon, Ethereum (and nearly all of my alt coins) is it wise to:

1) Take out the profit to either bank or reinvest when there is another dip
2) HODL in the hope that it keeps rising and rising

I'd rather go on 1. You can't increase the quantities of your assets by holding. However, there might be a scenario that price will just push more leaving your take-out profits in pending waiting for the dip.

There are lots of scenarios to be considered. I suggest trying both or starting your experiment by doing the number 1 and seeing the result if you can able to catch up with the phase.
2866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 14, 2021, 11:47:47 PM
Did the type of talent he have will give SMB a good lift, or the team will still design their play with Fajardo?

Having a big man on any team in PBA is already a big advantage. With Manuel's performance as a big man, he will surely give an SMB a good lift aside from this team is already an advantage to any team because of the presence of JMF as their main big man.

Actually, SMB is not focusing much on designing a play for Fajardo. During their TNT faceoff last playoffs, SMB focus on outside shooting as Fajardo can't deal much inside the paint offensively.
2867  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Brokers on: November 14, 2021, 11:44:39 PM
Hi All
what can you do if a broker closes your trading account?

I woke up this morning to check and my account has been cleaned, can a broker do this without informing you?

Regards
Kevin

If that so, let's say all funds are depleted, no money left on the account, unable to contact or so....

You are being scammed.

However, a broker will never close a trading account. If they are legit, check the Terms of Service.

2869  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 14, 2021, 11:31:55 PM
everyone has a different start in trading or investing. I am talking about people who are still afraid or feel unsure about entering the crypto world. It is necessary to explain here that entering the crypto world is of our own volition and we must be able to accept the risks. but as long as we can store and manage it properly then I think it will be profitable. Entering the crypto world does not have to be with big capital, we can start with a little capital first according to each ability. what is certain is that we must be able to learn to choose coins that are good to buy.
People chase because it's "profitable". It's the common reason why newbies get in because they hear it that trading is like that. But when they start to get the glimpse of trading, they complain because they can't attain the market's volatility. They lack of guidance but actually, that's a good start that they've already seen how volatile the market they've started already. Soon, they'll start to love it and take every move of the market as sign of a learning process to improve.

Honestly, that's what I want to happen to some newbies entering the crypto world, to feel the hard way dealing with crypto's volatility. In that way, they will realize if they will continue or not. Being in a struggling part will also make them a good trader in the future since while they progress, they will do everything not to make their mistakes happen over again.

Experience is the key. Once everyone is used to what they are doing, somehow problems on the way can be addressed properly.
2870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 14, 2021, 11:26:46 PM
Of course he has to beat Butler first. I wonder what would have happened with the fight against Inoue if Casimero lost to Butler. Do you think there would be a fight with Inoue, would he have to have some elimination fights first?

End of the discussion between Inoue vs Casimero.

It needs again lots of prior fights for Casimero before getting attention to Inoue. There's no sense to push for the fight against Inoue if Casimero will not able to beat Butler. We are talking about a champion Inoue here and to challenge him, you must come from a fresh win.

But lets suppose Butler beats Casimero. Do you think it is possible for Butler to get a chance to fight Inoue in this situation?

That's possible only if Butler's camp is interested. As we know, there's no heated conversation history between Butler and Inoue to start the flame.
2871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 13, 2021, 11:55:11 PM

I think I have mentioned it before that some guys from the Terrafirma might end up in one of the SMC teams and it happened now. If you guys remember, when PBA restarts, Terrafirma surprises everyone with their performance beating some of the top teams in the league.

And that's the start of targeting those players. As we know SMC, they are always willing to give up players in exchange of young ones, regardless if that player helps the franchise win championships.
2872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: November 13, 2021, 11:52:18 PM
Hello everyone, my question is: how often do you invest in new and young projects? Aren't you afraid of losing money if the project closes?

I want to invest in a promising project called CheckDot. Their token sale starts this weekend and I think this is a good opportunity to successfully invest money.

Share your thoughts on such an investment. Maybe you have some interesting cases on this matter.

Before I always take risks at new projects especially in 2017 where even a sh*t project can be boomed. But now, I don't have that practice now and will just choose a good coin if it's already listed on big exchanges.

We have a different meaning of the word "promising" based on what we see on the project. If you think that's a good shot to take a risk, you are free to do what you like.
2873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your luck rate with CMC airdrops on: November 13, 2021, 11:50:10 PM
I just find out that it's not easy to win going coinomi airdrops, I've participated in 10 different airdrops and never get paid at all so when I rechecked I always see like only 1000 people selected out of 300k or more, why airdrop in the first place when only few people will be selected ?

Expect that most airdrops today won't reach your desired rewards. About your question, you should find the answer if you read the airdrop terms. There's always a limit when participating in airdrops regardless of whether you do the task or not. It depends on the project on how many they will accommodate.

But to tell you generally, the glory days of airdrop are now gone.
2874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get info about the starts of crypto sales? on: November 13, 2021, 11:46:29 PM
Hi, guys
For a long time, one question never ceases to bother me - how do people find out about the sales of new coins even before the official announcement? I am constantly learning about it too late. Yesterday my friend told me about the start of the public sale of tokens, but the price is already rising.

Maybe there are some insider resources or groups where all this information is?

Just search ICO reviews related websites.

There are no insiders as projects themselves announce it weeks or months before their token sale. There's no secret on it. About the story of your friend, all I can say is, he did the right timing but not all the time, that will be the case so don't expect and manage your limitations.

Good luck hunting those projects.
2875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that are very down now that may pump? on: November 13, 2021, 11:43:21 PM
I'm wondering what coins that are very down now that may pump sooner or later.

On my radar is Reddcoin, PIVX and Neblio.  They are all on many good exchanges and are good staking coins.   Good staking coins often have a way of holding value as they earn you coins while you hold them in a software wallet, which are very easy to backup.

Hard to guess what are those coins. Sometimes, we have to face the risks to put up some money on a certain coin and hope that it will be pumped soon. Regarding those coins, you have mentioned, it won't reach your radar if you think they don't have that factors to pump. Trust your judgement and analysis.

I also have my own list but decided not to share it as I might lure someone at it. Don't want to be blamed in case of wrecked lol.
2876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 08, 2021, 11:52:58 PM
If it can be manipulated then don't bet on the favorites as manipulators will likely take the money from the public bets. So in this fight, since people think that Mike Tyson will win and the odds proved it, then probably it's good to just fade them and take Logan Paul instead, I hope my analysis makes sense.

I thought very much the same. At all bookmakers, Mike Tyson is a definite favorite, so if someone only wants to earn, they will give Logan a win.
I don't like that it can happen, but the more I think about it, the more likely it seems to me.

Definitely it's possible that they can manipulate the result to favour someone, but I don't think it will be the case. Most likely the manipulation is that the fight could end up in a draw or there will be talks to Tyson not to knockout Logan Paul.

Of course the line will open with Tyson as a favourite, but it could be a trap just like in his fight against Roy Jones.

There's nothing to manipulate in this fight, both do not have a good record in exhibition matches yet, and to protect Logan is not gonna happen as he survives against Mayweather who is younger than his current opponent, then most probably he will survive with an old Mike Tyson.

The "protection and manipulation" thing is about the deal before the fight. Not to protect either of them from physical injuries. Mike Tyson will not just fight there to show his strength and capability.

It's obvious that he accepts the exhibition match offer surely with certain conditions that are favored to him.
2877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 08, 2021, 11:42:34 PM
Basically this, as much as I dislike promoters due to the fact they delay and some times are the main obstacles for the fights we want to see, they know their business way better than we do, if Arum needs a bigger share of the purse for him and his fighters but he can make the fight bigger with his promotion then that 30% for Casimero can become higher than the 50% as he uses his influence to hype the fight, and if the purse is too small for him then he will reduce his investment in the fight in order to become profitable which will reduce the profits for both fighters.

If only no pandemic happened, we shouldn't end up discussing these delays. It really affects the boxing business and promoters are sometimes hesitant to continue the original plan. Remember that when sports slowly came back, Arum is one of the big sports personalities that push lots of boxing matches on their lineup even without an assurance that no profits will be made since there are no ticket sales and they will only rely on PPV.

Going back to the topic, Casimero's camp assured that once he won the fight against Butler, Naoya Inoue will be next.
Naoya Inoue up next for Casimero if he wins upcoming fight
2878  Other / Off-topic / Re: Deron Williams to fight in an undercard on Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul fight. on: November 08, 2021, 11:35:24 PM

Maybe the one that drove Deron Williams to enter exhibition matches is his interest in boxing and MMA for a long. It was reported that he owned a stake in Fortis MMA, a Mixed Martial Arts facility that trained MMA fighters.

And there might be a misunderstanding to others as Deron Williams will not fight Jake Paul. He is just on the undercard, as clearly stated on the subject and up to now, there's no official opponent.
2879  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do spectators now know better? on: November 08, 2021, 11:28:37 PM
-Is there a possibility that spectators of a sport like you and i with no professional training can develop a better understanding of a sport than some professional coaches of some teams?

It's not spectators have a better understanding but their analysis makes sense. And as a spectator, they observed well the team's performance. They are more a bit of relaxed that's why they see everything from the team's advantages to the team's disadvantages.

Just look in NBA for example, most famous analysts is not basketball players before. And those players who end up as an analyst is not good at making analysis, speculations, and predictions.
2880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 08, 2021, 11:23:06 PM

Some SMB fans in social media think Vic Manuel added a boost to their firepower. Maybe I will agree to them if he's still in his prime. Don't get overhyped on that trade. Since Governors Cup is coming, Vic Manuel might end up as a bench player. The reason is because of his position. He is mostly used as Power Forward but since there's an import next conference, rotations will be modified. I don't see him playing alongside Fajardo as SMB is always putting 3 guards.

However, he will be the best backup and support as in PBA, having a big man is an advantage.
