2861  Economy / Economics / Re: Apple wants to replace all passwords with biometrics on: June 16, 2022, 12:16:59 AM
This should succeed in the future since this is the only solution to secure accounts compared to using a password that is vulnerable to any attacks like phishing, brute-force attacks and etc...

Biometrics is already been tested for many years not just on Apple devices but also on Android devices. I have my phone not apple but Samsung the Iris scanner for my pattern or passwords looks the best Biometrics that I have ever experienced.

But I hope they don't totally remove the password login because if the owner or a user accidentally has a broken/missing finger or had scars on their face they can't easily access their account and it may become an unrecoverable account.

So owners/users should still have an alternative way to log in like passwords or recovery seed for emergency cases.
2862  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the crash in bitcoin price a threat to forum existence? on: June 15, 2022, 11:34:12 PM
Bitcoin forum will still exist even if the Bitcoin price crash it's always happened after 1 or 2 years after blockhalving.

Like before, when people said Bitcoin was dead but still the forum still exists not so active unlike when the Bitcoin is in demand(Bull market) there are many active new users joining here on the forum.

If maybe never goes up and becomes no value just like you said maybe the forum will not continue to exist but still it depends on Theymos. If it happens I think there are still many believers who will request to continue this forum and support theymos by donating just to continue the existence of this forum for future plans/development.
2863  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: dspic33ep16gs202.c:64:volt_clamp: failed on Chain[2], b[0] = 254, b[2] = 254! on: June 15, 2022, 10:44:22 PM
Please learn how to put all kernel logs into an insert code tag sample like this

Code:
All my kernel logs here

If you can't able to or has character limitation you can use pastebin.com and paste the URL here

And this is not the right place to post this it should be in the mining support

About your problem, would you mind to try to flash it first with the latest firmware available from Bitmain here
I also suggest you try to run the unit and test hashboards one by one.

The error that I notice is the temp sensor

Code:
2022-06-15 21:43:26 temperature.c:422:calibration_sensor_offset: chain[0] temp info,Bad. Reload from eeprom..

That is why I do recommend you to try to test them one by one.
2864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where will Bitcoin stabalize?? on: June 15, 2022, 06:10:35 PM
20 k is the most stabilize price,i think

Possible but actually no one could predict what will be the price of Bitcoin and what will be the bottom price of the current market condition.

But the only thing that I could suggest learn more about the history of Bitcoin and learn about TA and FA to predict what will be the next Bitcoin price movement.
Blockhalving is always the starting point for investors because the supply after blockhalving is reduced while the demand increases which is a sign of a bull market.
2865  Other / Meta / Re: Warning in PM, is this a new feature? on: June 15, 2022, 04:18:26 PM
I never experienced this warning before but I think it's been here since 2018 or around 2017 based on this thread here
Maybe one of the links you received is already reported to moderator as a phishing link.

Would you mind posting the links here so that we can check if the link is phishing or not or if it's just a false positive?
2866  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet Inquiry on: June 14, 2022, 11:59:31 PM
~snip~

This is not the right place to contact Electrum if you want to contact the developers of this wallet you can go directly to their Github page here https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues
Then make your own thread or post there.

But I believe you will be ignored because their Wallet is focusing only on Bitcoin and security and no 3rd parties.
2867  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Finally got an S19JPRO immersed on: June 14, 2022, 11:38:38 PM
How did you bypass the fan check? Are you using a fan simulator to bypass fan check? Or are you using a custom/modified firmware like Braiins OS/ASIC.to firmware?
The dashboard from your image is a bit different from the original firmware.

Do you have any physical image of this unit I just want to check how do you manage to work immersed with s19j pro or did you just directly put/submerge the entire miner into mineral oil?
2868  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think the market will take to recover? on: June 14, 2022, 10:53:58 PM
It's pretty normal to see this price drop for Bitcoin and altcoin if you know the history of Bitcoin since before you will notice the cycle.
Every block halving is a good start to invest so 2024 would be the best time for me to invest again and hold for the long term.

Just like what happened before 2016 and 2017 and now 2020 and 2021 have you noticed the cycle?
As you can see there is no difference in the market movement around that time? There might be a slight difference but they are the same as how the bull market comes after block-halving.
2869  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Buying advice] S17 53TH or T17+ 58TH ? on: June 14, 2022, 04:40:23 PM
Based on the t17+ specs the hashrate of this unit is around 64Th/s with 3,200w and the s17 hashrate is around 53Th/s with 2,385w.

Check the whole specs of these units below

- S17 specs
- T17+ specs

So based on their specs s17 is a bit more power-efficient than t17+.

How about the price of these units and your Electricity rate?

If the price is the same and you have a free power source then choose t17+ or buy s17 if you are paying above $0.04kw/h.
2870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Papertrading tradingview unit represent what? on: June 14, 2022, 03:34:28 PM
Are you talking about $10k paper dollar and buying 50 BTC?

The price of BTC is currently $22.5k while the amount of paper dollars is $10k so you won't be able to buy 50BTC with $10k paper dollars.

If you want to buy a 50BTC then you need $1.125m of paper dollars to buy 50BTC.

The only problem is that tradingview only has a $100k limit of the paper dollar.

If you want to practice your trading skills there are other sites that you can use check this link below for trading simulators.

2871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC on other chains is not BTC on: June 13, 2022, 11:59:43 PM
It seems they repeat what they did before just to make a profit on withdrawal fees.

The fees right now are not so high and I think this is their way to help the network reduce congested transactions.

But forcing people to use other chains is not fair they give BTC as token, not the real BTC.
2872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Coinbase Wallet App transactions pending/missing??? on: June 13, 2022, 10:14:28 PM
Are there any paid accelerators that take fiat payments?

How much did you transfer? It's not worth paying an accelerator if the BTC you transfer is not big. And Viabtc currently does not accept fiat they only accept BTC, BCH, and LTC.
Why not import your wallet to the Electrum so that you can bump the fee if the transaction is already in the blockchain.?
2873  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any online Ad network who accept crypto as payment?? on: June 13, 2022, 12:16:43 AM
I tried to search and check a few faucet sites and it seems most of them already mention above but I would like to add a few of them.

Here are some ad networks that are mostly used by faucet owners.

- bmfads.com
- adsfirm.com
- surfe.pro
- cointraffic.io
- agencyorquidea.com
- surfe.be

And I think there are more Crypto ad networks you just need to know how to check faucet sites through their source code. Faucetpay is a great source of faucet sites if you want to try how to check them you can see icons on a few ads it is a link for the ad network they used.
2874  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Error with my T15 need your help please on: June 12, 2022, 11:17:26 PM
Hello dear, i have replug fans, reset the asic and try with other fans but same error

If still does not work try to reflash the firmware through SD Card. Download the SD card image from this link below

Then look for T15 SD card recovery image.zip and then extra the image and open the folder then copy all files inside the folder and paste it to SD card.
Now after copying the image into the SD card turn off your unit and then put the SD card into the unit and then turn it on. Then wait for the led flashing to stop and remove the SD card after.

You can follow the sample instruction from this video below

2875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: can you create a lost wallet from address and password for the lost wallet? on: June 12, 2022, 10:59:39 PM
It might be a silly question but for example if a Bitcoin wallet in Bitcoin core is lost, is it  ???possible to make/recover the original wallet file?

Then if it's lost without a backup like a master/private key or the wallet.dat on Bitcoin core there is no way to recover them with just an address and password the only purpose of adding password is to protect your wallet, not for recovery.

So make sure that you have a backup like wallet.dat or private keys on another device so that you can recover your wallet with those backups in the future.
2876  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 not hashing after changing control board on: June 11, 2022, 11:42:32 PM
Thank you for suggesting it.

It took some time, tried all but only Awesomeminer firmware installed properly, however, even that didn't work, gonna contact the person from whom I bought the S9.

If you are trying to flash the Bitmain firmware while your current miner program is still awesomeminer you will only get the error while flashing it through WebGUI/Browser.

You need to flash it first to stock firmware with SD Card before you flash it again with different firmware to make them work. The guide is already on my first post.
You can also try asic.to firmware let's see if can help to troubleshoot the issue.
2877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: About Library Of Trader on: June 11, 2022, 11:30:16 PM
Actually, almost all reviews from Trustpilot are fake all reviews are excellent which is an obvious use for marketing purposes.
Also, the amount of sold courses/books are fake since you are using the Bookworm Woocommerce theme you can easily edit those sold value.

So how can people trust you if you are trying to lie in the first place?

Anyway, newbie traders can easily learn without spending money by research or using this link.
2878  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Has anyone got the datasheet for the bm1387/b on: June 11, 2022, 10:03:46 PM
No one yet sharing this datasheet here bm1384 datasheet is the only available here and you can also download it on Bitmain.

Why not check this post from Reddit he might have a datasheet for bm1387/b because he is trying to develop something with this ASIC chip.

2879  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading: My First Proper Attempt in Learning on: June 10, 2022, 11:54:46 PM
I have experience in jumping straight into trading usually I will end up losing in trading due to fear and greed.

Like you feel that the price of Bitcoin sooner will drop so you will end up selling them early and the price of Bitcoin after a few minutes increase more than 10%.
About greed, it is like you already made a profit but you still holding it and expecting more price increases but it ends up huge price drop.

That is why you also need to learn how to control your fear and greed.

Adding this most of what I learn from trading is from this link below it might be useful to you to learn more about trading.

2880  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Securing Seed Phrase Using Magic Mug Under $15 on: June 10, 2022, 11:29:54 PM
Imagine dropping your mug and having to glue your seed back together.

That will be more fun  Grin

It's not fun it would be a pain in the neck if the mug is crushed and nearly pulverized.

Is there a magic mug that only shows hidden text when pouring cold water? We usually use mugs for drinking coffee with hot water so if someone didn't know that magic mug and used it to drink coffee then he can able to see the text.

So it is safe if it is a magic mug that can only show hidden text with cold water.
