1861  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Lost access to coins Bitcoin Core on: January 15, 2023, 11:19:43 PM
How many characters do you think are missing from your password?

You can recover that long password only if you know most of the parts of your password. There is a tool called BTCrecover that you can use to brute the wallet.dat file from your bitcoin core wallet. So make sure that you make 2 or 3 copies of the original wallet.dat file before you try to recover your wallet.

Please read the guide how to use the BTCrecover here https://btcrecover.readthedocs.io/
1862  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Problem - update to Braiins firmware T17+!? on: January 15, 2023, 05:20:17 PM
You maybe interrupt the flashing process which is why it ends up a corrupted program/soft bricked and maybe you are using a fake SD card with fake volume take note if you use a fake SD card to flash the unit sometimes it can bricked the control board so make sure that you are using original one and recommended size.

If you are using the original one then repeat the procedure redownload the firmware and reformat the SD card then burn it again and flash the unit.

Do this 3 times, if it still didn't work for 3rd try then replace the SD card or try other ways to flash the unit.

Check the guide here https://docs.braiins.com/os/open-source-en/Setup/2_advanced.html#sd-card-image
1863  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 0 ASICs with good CLK & RI signal ? on: January 15, 2023, 05:02:38 PM
Hello mate,

I'm sorry, between last message and know I do some research and I found on R710 7v ! (abnormal value)
And at this time I did a mistake and a shortcut was created, result all my CLK signal is dead...

Any idea how to repair active system ? Cuz I already change 25M clock but she is passive so isnt her problem here..

Thanks

What do you mean you did a shortcut? You mean did you make a jumper?
If you did then it can damage other components thats a bad thing you did the resistor should be replaced with the same resistance.

Sorry but it's hard to troubleshoot the issue without the hash board on hand. All guides on troubleshooting the issue are already on zeusbtc posted above.
If I were you better look for a professional technician that can repair the hash board near your area check this link below for the list of repair centers.
1864  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Stealth mining on: January 14, 2023, 11:33:13 AM
You can do that there are some routers that can able to set up a VPN or are compatible with OpenVPN or you can make a server with PFsense that includes OpenVPN this one only need extra PC with memory and HDD.

But take note of what kano said above, however, you can do some tests just make sure that the IP of the VPN you are trying to connect must be near your country to get a lesser ping and most of the pools have 3 different ports and pool server US, EU and ASIA you can test them one by one until you found a pool server with better ping. Most recommended latency is below 150ms if above on that you will get a high pool rejection rate.
1865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Scammed but I can't imagine how it is possible. on: January 13, 2023, 12:07:11 PM

No, I just downloaded it for the first time. I assure you, the download was the official one, and the possibility for it to have been a malware attack is 0. I didnt store any of the details to the account digitally so it can not have been malware or a keylogger, and malware bytes scan and avast scam both came up with 0 detections.

Since it's close source we don't know what actually their software doing like I said the issue you experience is the same as other users experience.
If I were you stop using exodus and better use a wallet which is known safe like Electrum, bitcoin core or hardware wallet.

Which wallet software you used previously to send your Bitcoin to Exodus wallet?

[1] https://www.tomsguide.com/news/avast-avg-data-collection

I think it is from exchange to Exodus wallet based on the OP details above .

And I agree about Avast most of their free software includes malware that collects data which is not safe.
1866  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T19 Online Not Hashing on: January 13, 2023, 11:50:46 AM
It is more likely a connection problem because it didn't show any info on each hash board.

Would you mind to try flashing the unit with the latest stock firmware it might be just a corrupted program flashing it should fix the issue?
Also, try to replug all cables and power connections and try to clean terminals with thinner or isopropyl alcohol then run it again. Then update here.
1867  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mastering the Lightning Network book on: January 13, 2023, 01:37:50 AM
I think it talks about closing a channel?

Based on what I understand the timelock expires is I think the dispute period according to the wiki if you didn't find the protocol breach all the funds that you received from your open channel will be gone but the deposit amount when you open a channel you can still able to take them out with fees.

protocol breach looks like you need proof that your partner is a cheater or doing fraud most cheaters or fraudsters send/broadcast outdated data with the incorrect distribution. So to avoid it you need to broadcast the most up-to-date settlement transaction to the network.

I think wiki explains better that the link you shared above read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightning_Network
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Scammed but I can't imagine how it is possible. on: January 13, 2023, 12:07:51 AM
On what wallet is your BTC coming from before you send it to Exodus? or Are you talking about Exodus wallet and sent to another wallet?
Ow didn't notice it is from the exchange but what exchange exactly? So that we know if the exchange site is a scam or legit.

Another thing is that I stop using the Exodus wallet I heard many issues using it there are lots of people having problems with their wallets like stolen coins or hacked coins. If I were you if you are planning to hold a large amount of coins buy a hardware wallet you can also use it on a daily basis just make sure to keep your PC from any viruses and malware. I do not recommend you to use avast I suggest using Kaspersky to protect your PC I've tested it for so many years.

Edit: Like you said it seems someone has control of your wallet and it was sent to someone else wallet based on the TXID you share above the hacker sent BTC from bc1qvlcmsaq2x2frjff3plw8v8nyh6r2xqtt6duy6h to bc1q57f4xlzqpdtzy4ta9hx3sf9kxm27mhmyrqxzfu which is you don't own. The first transaction have a very low fee so it was not yet confirmed until the hacker made another transaction from Exodus to another wallet with a 0.001BTC TX fee he did CPFP to speed up the transaction because if the first transaction didn't confirm yet the transaction he made will also be stuck that is why he increases the fee to speed up transaction and to help confirm the first transaction.

That is why I stop using exodus due to this there is no difference from what other people experienced using their wallets so I guess it's an inside job. For now, there is no way to reverse the transaction and I suggest switch to a better wallet like Electrum or hardware wallet.
1869  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New from bitmain: Antminer S19J Pro+ on: January 12, 2023, 11:53:17 PM
what is the single connector on the pro+ never seen it before.

and to clarify will it run on 208v power, conflict on. spec vs web ad?

If you read the link shared by the OP you can go to specifications and they do have this

As you can see 200-277 power AC input that's the voltage limit so 208v should be compatible.

About the single connector as you can see on the image they do only have a single connector/socket for power unlike their older version s19 pro has two power connector/socket.
1870  Other / Meta / Re: Cooper member on: January 12, 2023, 11:36:47 PM
The advantage of having a copper membership is not just for images it also reduces the time limit for posting or PMs and you can also do what member ranks do.

The only thing that you can't able to do with copper member is that wearing an Avatar if you are planning to wear avatar you must reach the full member rank.

Read the "Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements" so that you know what is newbie and Jr. members rank limit and most of the listed restriction can be lifted after buying a copper membership.
1871  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [P2P]Is there anyone who knows good bank for P2P trading ? on: January 12, 2023, 01:30:11 PM
It depends on the country you live if you are living in a very strict country most banks do not support Crypto or have a low limit on send/receive.

Are you planning to sell BTC on a P2P exchange?

Why not check your local banks if they support receiving money from Crypto buyers?
Here in my country most of the banks support it but are limited to 0.05-0.1BTC in local currency.
1872  Other / Meta / Re: is it normal on: January 12, 2023, 01:14:14 PM
All deleted posts that were not of much use, saying thank you or a few one-line sentences, will always be treated as low-quality posts by the moderators. Get used to not thanking, instead, you can send merit if you find the post useful, and if you have nothing to give, then just take note of the information and that's it.

Since he is a newbie without merit yet he can't able to do that giving thanks to anybody should include how he solves the problem, not just thanks. Because if someone searches for the same problem and found his thread or post that includes a solution and it will help others to understand how you solve the problem. Giving only thanks or TY is considered zero or no value it is the first forum rules.
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: my friend lost the password for his crytowallet. what he could do? on: January 12, 2023, 12:42:25 PM
The good thing you did is that you stopped your friend from sharing his wallet.dat with unknown people never trust anyone online with your wallet.dat file there are lots of scammers out there.

I don't know precisely what Crypto wallet your friend is using but you can check the tool from this link below that includes a guide on how to recover your friend's wallet.dat password.

Here's the old one https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover it only supports a few coins but mainly for BTC
And this is the other one https://github.com/3rdIteration/btcrecover it supports more coins but I don't know if your friend's wallet is supported.

You can also trust walletrecoveryservices.com mention above but I suggest only give the hash of the wallet.dat.
1874  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 0 ASICs with good CLK & RI signal ? on: January 11, 2023, 11:56:39 PM
What do you found far from good value ? CLK isn't 0.9 normal value ? and RI 1.8 ?

Yes I've only one hash on this conjtrol boad (its my test board)  Wink

The value that you mention above is not far from the recommended value so it should be a good signal.

Do you think that the control board or the fan is fine?

Would you mind to try to run the miner with the two hashboard?
Copy the kernel logs again and post them here maybe we can see some hints under that new logs.

1875  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Could a small miner actually randomly solve a Bitcoin block on: January 11, 2023, 05:01:59 PM
Yes it could be possible to solved a block but it takes time and like the above said you very low chance to get valid blocks to mine due to difficulty.

They mostly called it the lottery if you run a single USB stick to mine solo.
Not all people are lucky but some people that I heard they mined a block with 25btc or 12.5btc reward before.
1876  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Wont mine, socket failed to connect, total packet loss on: January 11, 2023, 04:40:59 PM
Oh wow, zeusbtc has a new account here but it's weird he is promoting a different link instead of their own guide.

@OP would you mind posting the whole kernel logs here so that we can check exactly what your miner problem is?

If it's not normally running fine try to remove the 3rd hashboard and let it run while the other hash board is connected.

If it's running fine the 3rd hashboard is bad without the whole kernel logs I can't give you a few suggestions so try to post the whole kernel logs here or paste it to pastebin.com and paste the link here.
1877  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it possible to delivered or received goods by keeping the location secret?! on: January 11, 2023, 12:10:09 AM
freight forwarder is all you need if you don't want to share your current location to the seller but the problem is you will need to share your location to freight forwarder service where you would like to deliver the parcel.

Use google to find those freight forwarder near in your area just make sure use this keyword "freight forwarder country/location" it should suggest few freight forwarder companies.
1878  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 0 ASICs with good CLK & RI signal ? on: January 10, 2023, 11:43:07 PM
If its far from recommended value or its abnormal then there is a possibility of shorted parts.

I would suggest you read the guide from zeusbtc here https://www.zeusbtc.com/manuals/Antminer-S9-Hash-Board-Repair-Guide.asp

Read under Equal voltage under that link.

And I would like to ask if how many hashboard are connected to this miner it seems only one hashboard is detected according to logs?
1879  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need advice about a new BTC/Crypto based website! on: January 08, 2023, 11:58:19 PM
If it's a crypto-based platform or service why not post it first in the announcement thread as your first launch then go to the services section and make another thread with the title that you are looking for someone who can promote your website?

No one will take this job if you don't offer payment so make sure you have a budget.

Or your last hope promote it with your own through SEO you can learn it it's not hard to learn them check this link below

1880  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BTC Block / USD Price on: January 08, 2023, 11:41:06 PM
There is block data available in the LoyceV thread but I don't know if it includes the price check this link below

I also tried to search, what you looking for is block counts and price history but it seems it does not yet exist. You will need two different data with time frames including block counts and Bitcoin price history and put it into the sheet to sort them.

I suggest maybe you can find some useful tools under this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5287823 about what you need.
