2861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: January 19, 2022, 01:08:11 PM
Well their upgrade seems to be always delay and that what makes it somewhat disappointed to their investors. And then we still have the huge fees, so another minus for them.

And if ever they will have the Eth2.0 this year and then we went into a bear market, for sure the price will really be affected. So it's up to them to release it this year or delay it again until the market is improving or at least improved.
2862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 19, 2022, 12:41:52 PM
I heard a rumor that 76ers rejected a trade offer from Detroit Pistons.
The trade consist of Jerami Grant, Saddiq Bey, and Kelly Olynyk in exchange for Ben Simmons. I was a bit frustrated about it even if its just rumors.
I would not trade Grant that easily for a Ben Simmons type and worse he added more players with it. Grant is one of the rising stars in the league and it's not easy to find a good player like him who can shoot in and out and defend. Besides, they already a good point guard. Cade Cunningham.
All they need is time to build the chemistry.

Wow, that's a good deal to reject! Jerami Grant alone already a good value to replace Simmons.

I don't see any point from Piston. Are they showing that they are no longer interested in this season? Are they thinking that Simmons
can lift the ream up?

If it's for real, they are lucky for not closing this deal. If they have plans to trade Grant and those other mentioned names, better to
sort out and rinse those available known stars, that's much wiser than taking Simmons..
I think they are preparing to rebuild their team next season if they include Grant in the trade. Hopefully it was rejected though because it was a bad move for the Pistons. Having Simmons with the team, might clogged them even more. Get support to Cade or even change the coach if they want to be a contender next season and not get another player that might bring more problems for them in the future. Simmons might be good in Sacramento, but we are not sure if the trade are going to be push through or not.
2863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 19, 2022, 12:21:04 PM
Yes, that's for real and that's why making sure that he's at the fittest of his medical condition should be verified before the fight. So, there will be no more excuses as if he's not fit when he fought or he's feeling not well during that match. Well, the committee won't really allow it to happen as it puts the boxer in harm and threat and it's going to be their liable if they allow that to happen.

They are really strict when it comes to the boxer's health before the fight because if they blindly let them fight with any one of them having some sort of fever or any medical condition that would make them prone to any fatal injury, they would be the one who suffers because there are already boxers who fought even though he's not in a condition to do so which lead to his demise and the referee also cannot take the blame himself and decided to kill himself by suicide. This is the thing they don't want to experience again that's why they are extra careful when it comes to their boxer's conditions.
It's also the responsibility of the boxer to check himself before the match. And upon seeing that Casimero himself can't do the match, he did the right thing of informing it.
Those boxers that have fought and just followed the known quote of "the show must go on", they're careless and they've chosen their fate. Pride is no longer that needed if the health of the boxer is at stake.
I think it was a different case for Casimero, he was not really feeling well during the weigh-in date and has to go to a doctor for a check-up. Those you mentioned might have problems with the weight though, but then they don't have a choice but to go to the weigh-in and then either stripped of the belt, because of weight issues, or there could be penalty clause in they don't make the weight like -10% on their purse. But they have to go and show and fight.
2864  Economy / Speculation / Re: Supercycle or Halving cycle still? on: January 18, 2022, 08:19:37 PM
I think that there will still be a great correction due to the end of the halving cycle.
+1
I'll believe more in the halving cycle, based on history. We all know how the Bitcoin block halving became significant to Bitcoin since the beginning, it is showing how Bitcoin managed to do some price actions that correlate with when it is upcoming or after bitcoin block halving.

About the supercycle, for you how you can explain it? Does supercycle have some specific numbers or how can you tell a cycle that is a supercycle?
Bitcoin's historical logs is fairly young, we can't say if we are in the super cyle or a new cycle or old cycle so it's hard to say.

The only thing we know is that after a halving, the price seems to reach all time high and after that we goes into a correction which turns into a bearish market. And so far this seems to be what we are seeing right now, from $69k, - a new all time high to barely $40k, so that's huge correction already.
2865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 18, 2022, 03:34:58 PM
I could go with Errol "The Truth" Spence Jr. if Spence wins against Yordenis Ugas we could see a potential Errol Spence Jr. VS Terrence Crawford fight, and that is what I want to see but he can not underestimate Yordenis Ugas, because Ugas can pull an upset just like he did with Manny Pacquiao, and it could be a Yordenis Ugas VS, Terrence Crawford, Surely Ugas can pull up a feat like that, but I really think that Errol Spence Jr, Can win this, and can still continue to be undisputed,

Yes, that was the fight that anyone is waiting for. Before it was between Pacquiao-Spence-Crawford but since Ugas comes out of nowhere, he replaced Pacquiao on that and some boxers think that upset is sure to happen.

If those boxers believe that Ugas can pull an upset, it means they really know Ugas has the firepower to beat the heavily favorite Spence Jr.

I also like to see Spence vs Crawford as it already waited for a long time but I'm also like Ugas to upset Spence. This was confusing on my part lol.
Many were expecting that Spence will win this fight but Ugas is somewhat stronger that could make such an upset end. It may, not be the most awaiting fight that people must have to see but this seems to be the ticket for the biggest fight in their weight level. But I believe that Ugas will still have the bigger chance over Spencer. I don't just look at their experience and reach advantage or even the age and height, but seeing their previous fight we can see that Ugas is getting tough.

I don't think Ugas is stronger than Spence, based on the record, Spence has the advantage. But I respect your opinion because we can never guarantee who will win in this fight even if the other fighter is the heavy favorite. Anyway, let's enjoy betting and be entertain while watching the fight soon.
So that's why this fight is very exciting, because we think that Spence will win, but at the same time Ugas might have something in him that can upset Spence. So for now, maybe in odds Spence is the favorite but Ugas could have the X-factor to pull a win.

So we will see if Ugas has what it takes to derail Spence in this fight. If he wins then maybe Crawford will be next on him. So a lot is on stakes for both fighters here.
2866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 18, 2022, 02:30:04 PM
If he wins this one, he will possibly line to call for another title fight. He's still young, and he still fits inside this division, just need to
win this upcoming fight and make his name to hype back,

He will now back again to the discussion with the same level of Spence Jr and Terence Crawford. If Thurman will win the fight and his next future fights, he can now also demand a unification fight if ever Spence or Crawford will retain their current weight class.

His loss to Pacquiao might be his wake-up call to further improve more. Let's see what he got on the day of the fight.

If there will be unification fight that will happen in the future, that will be a very good treat to all their boxing fans.
So now, Thurman should really win this fight and accept more challenges before he goes out of the limelight.
We will know who will be the one reigning in their division in the next years' to come. Also, there's upcoming Spence vs Ugas, so let's see.
I hope their respective promoters will not avoid each other, and wait til one of the boxers is older to let the fight happen.
Just look at what happen with Pacquiao vs Mayweather. They should have fought in their younger years.

Well for boxing promoters, this is business so we don't know if they are willing to put up a classic fight for the fans like unification because this promoters wanted to milk their fighters. Just like what you mentioned, Pacman and Mayweather didn't fight until there are in the downside of their career or at least when they are in their primes.

And there are a lot of names right now, Crawford, Spence are the top 2 and then we have Ugas. So Thurman will have to fight all this guys if he wants to unify the belt.
2867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 18, 2022, 01:44:14 PM
Los Angeles Lakers played a home match against Utah Jazz this morning and it was really competitive at the same time. Lakers owe their 101-95 victory to Lebron James as always. He got 25 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and he was close to a triple-double. Even though Jazz were in a much better condition than them, they still got an important win. Lakers are still not that great of course as they are fully depending on Lebron. They need to get better than this otherwise their work would be difficult in the playoffs.

Jazz played a back-to-back game, Lakers are fresh and they are playing at home, so it was the Lakers who are more conditioned and they beat a good team, so it's good for them as they silence those who doubted them for awhile. If they have that kind of consistency, then probably we will see them beating good teams like Jazz.
I guess it's more of the Lakers hitting their shots in the 4th quarter, Stanley Johnson somewhat takes over and play with the Jazz defense as he scored against Rudy Gobert and the whole Jazz if he wants to. Then his crucial rebound resulting to a 3 point shot. So it's a good win and they are back in the .500 mark again. But still plenty of games for them to developed their chemistry, this is just one game against a good team.
2868  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: January 18, 2022, 01:04:35 PM
Reaching 100k price of bitcoin could be still possible to happen in this year if the market will not experience the bear season. Now the bitcoin price is stabilizing at 40k I guess this is a good sign that bitcoin will trying to recover let's just hope that in the next days we will see bitcoin reaching 50k maybe this price will triggering the altcoins to go up.
Let's just say put that in the shelve for now, for me there's no way that we are going to achieved $100k before we are already in the bear cycle already. This is just the beginning, it might be slow but maybe in March we will see the full blown bear market and it's going to be very difficult to all of us.

Nevertheless, if we just learn from the last bear market, that is to accumulate cheap bitcoins and solid altcoins and hold, then maybe we will get rich in the next 2-3 years. As I have said, it's a cycle, so everyone should be patience, just saying.
2869  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 18, 2022, 12:29:05 PM
Predicting the market from BTC point of view is becoming less significant. Recent trends have indicated that BTC movement now goes in opposite direction against some altcoins. Therefore, the market may not follow the existing circles which are derived from the influence of BTC over altcoins.

Says someone whose Avatar text talks about... fourth generation blockchain. At this rate, we might see 8 generations by next Bitcoin halving.

Like it or not, crypto is a Bitcoin point of view. Which recent (long-term) trends can you produce? Alts and deficoins getting ATH anytime in the last year is thanks to the (ongoing) rally of Bitcoin.

You'd have to be really stubborn to think otherwise.
Satochi was that stubborn and thought otherwise and here we are rallying around BTC, the creation of stubbornness. Time will tell.
Stubborn in what way? he gifted us with his creation. And he knows that there are chances that it will fail or it will succeed. But alas, after 10 years, bitcoin has grown tremendously and steadily being adopted.

So yeah, time will tell, but at this point it is really moving forward in a positive way. We already established several facts already, like it's cycle, bear and bull market. And that what makes this market very interesting because it's really unpredictable and goes against the traditional financial markets.
2870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 18, 2022, 11:58:56 AM
Tried watching the fights of Mark Magsayo, I can say he doesn't have the one-punch knock-out strength like the champ Russell. The fight is close to unifying WBO and WBC featherweight and Russel who is considered to have the fastest hand and can deliver a counter punch will likely win over Magsayo. This is just what the sportsbook is saying which they have the Russell Gary 1.22.
Yes, that's one advantage of Russell is that he possesses one of the fastest hand in boxing right now and probably in this division that's why he was able to maintain his top position and his only lost is to Loma. For fans of Magsayo though, doesn't matter what will be the odds, they are going to bet on him specially he is the underdog here.

Good luck to us this weekend. If I only have $5 to bet, I'd go for Magsayo, we'll never know if an upset can happen. This is the 6th time Russel is defending this title, he must be tired and wants to go up to fight Crawford.
Crawford is 147 lbs, so that's a huge jump for Russell if that his is goal. So I doubt that he looks for Crawford at this point as it is better for him to fight the 130 lbs first.
2871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: January 18, 2022, 11:34:05 AM
Don't forget that GGG will turn 40 in 3 months. How long he should fight more ? Maybe one or two years maximum. The best days of GGG are gone. To be able to compete with Canelo now, he must train for like 200% or 300% harder. If he faces Canelo now, who has gained experience fighting better opponents than GGG, their fight will end with unanimous decision in Canelo favour. They both don't need that fight. As well as they will ask so huge rewards for their third fight, that not every organization could afford that.
Well he might turn old overnight in this fight for all we know because he is on the stage wherein his prime years might be over for him. Being inactive then he has to wait till this pandemic is over before he can fight Murata. So it will really have a effect on him physical and emotional. As this point, he can't really compete with Canelo even at 160 lbs. Canelo is too good right now and it's possible that GGG can be knock out by Canelo if they ever face again.
2872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 17, 2022, 04:51:27 PM
So all eyes are on Ben Simmons again. Why is it that when its about Rich Paul clients, there is always the drama of either force trades and locker room issues.  Grin i.e. Anthony Davis, John Wall, and Lebron James.
I am against the Fox - Simmons trade. I don't know what Sacramento is up to, but what they need is to surround Fox with good players and not trade him out. He is the future of that team and can be their franchise player. All they need is to move their ass and make some trades with their other players.
Yes, his stats may have failed this past few games but that doesn't mean he is all the fault of that. If the trade occurs, I doubt they will be in the playoffs or play in tournament.
Perhaps the Kings management has a complete change of heart on Fox now that they are willing to trade him with Simmons + Tobias Harris. And it just shows how indispensable players are in the NBA. One day you are the darling of the management and suddenly the next day you are in the trading block. He is supposedly the leader of the team, unfortunately, in the last couple of days his game really goes down that's why they wanted to have a change and entertain a possible trade involving Fox.
2873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always have an exit strategy on: January 15, 2022, 04:46:55 AM
A lot of veterans I talked to back in January/ February had exit plans that were going into action late summer and early to mid fall at the latest. That was a majority of veterans.  I think bitcoins dropping to its new bottom slowly but surely. But it won’t go past ath for a while. It has been nearly a year and 6 months. Historically it probably means the btc 2021 bull run is over.
Even though the market conditions are chaotic, I don't see the decline in bitcoin price will touch the lowest point, look at 2021 bitcoin has reached ATH only twice, then there has been a correction until now, but the low has not been seen until now for bitcoin, starting from 2021 I believe bitcoin will hit a new ATH for this year, although we can't say for sure what month it is exactly.
Reaching all time high in the same year is already a big accomplishment for bitcoin. And that's why 2021 might be the last year for the bulls as we might enter a bear market and that's what exactly what we are experiencing right now as the price is stagnant at around $40k++.

It's easy to say that bitcoin will hit X all time high this year, but if you have been in the market for so long, you know that bear market is imminent as it is a natural process to occur after a bull run, so it's a cycle.
2874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 15, 2022, 03:55:00 AM
Have a bet with them against the Bulls tonight so hope they can pick it up and score a bit more than what they did last night.

So far looking good, the game is currently close. Both teams are just doing some fueling up currently in the first quarter.

But beforehand, it's risky to place a bet at the Warriors providing they are missing some of their key players. On the other hand, the main starters of the Chicago Bulls are playing almost completely as even Caruso is out, it's not that they are at disadvantage.

Edit: The Warriors defeated the Chicago Bulls 138-96. Zach Lavine got injured and only played 4 minutes. The Warriors bench heavily contributed to that game.
Yeah, it was a major blow out for the Bulls as they've lost Zach Lavine, and obviously, he didn't score any points. And then the Warriors up their tempo and defense. All the Warriors that played score at least a point or two in this game.

Hopefully Zach can go back quickly with the Bulls, they needed him. For me he is still the leader of the Chicago and not DeRozan although they compliment each other.
2875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: January 14, 2022, 07:09:13 PM
Now that we are in 2022 is 100k per BTC still possible? It seems no one is talking about this price anymore and now BTC is fighting at the 40k range, what do you think could still happen? Also it seems like altcoins have no high chances again unless BTC do the impossible
Still early to say, but here is my opinion that I've been saying since last month. If bitcoin failed to break $50k at the end of the year then we will be on a bear market this 2022.

And so far this is happening, the price is just $42k and the supposedly 6 digits didn't happen. I guess we can't blame those who believed it is achievable because it really did have a good run in 2021 and we even reach 2x an all time high. But it turn out that December is one of the worst at the price goes down ward in spiral and up to know we haven't bounce back. So for now forget about $100k.
2876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Forecast by Goldman Sachs on: January 14, 2022, 02:20:06 PM
Nah, this is just another forecast not to be taken seriously, I mean the one making the forecast in one of the biggest bank in the world. So it's difficult to trust them, and we all know that most of the time when we heard about this predictions coming from institutions, it means that the price could go down very hard and there are people that is going to manipulate it for their own benefits, just saying.
2877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 14, 2022, 01:38:08 PM

If they will push this through, I still see Casimero to win the fight and that could be a great way for him to challenge Inoue, though for some medical reason this match was postponed right? Hoping that they can finally settle this since Casimero is slowly losing his fans because of the current situation. If its just a pure trash talk, I don’t think Casimero vs Inoue will push through as well, better to sign the contract now.

The fact that Casimero fans are already looking forward to see him inside the ring fighting against Inoue but currently this ordered fight by WBO against Butler still on pending, I think this man should focus first in his scheduled and ordered fight before his team asks for a match with Inoue. I don't think if it is their intention to hype the game but yeah due to postponement of this fight I don't think so that Casimero vs. Inoue will be possible the soonest. I hope Casimero get well soon and make this fight happen and win this fight so we as a fan could see possibilities that Casimero vs. Inoue has some shade of light.
I think Inoue's camp knows better, maybe they just wanted to hype the Inoue fight. But for sure they will focus on the task as hand, to beat Butler first.

He is mandated by the WBO to fight Butler after they failed on the first scheduled fight that was cancelled due to his medical condition. So hopefully this fight will push through this year with no more delays.
2878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 14, 2022, 01:12:03 PM
The events surrounding his travel and COVID results is just too vague, the incorrect filling
of the immigration papers is also something unbelievable and also I wonder if what he said
in the interview at the airport with border force was different to his statement from a
couple of days ago?

He's tried to lie his way in, and then lied to cover it all up.

It does lend weight to the theory that whenever he appears to get "injured" at critical moments in a match, and throws his opponent's concentration out, and then miraculously makes an instant 100% recovery moments later, that it's all an act. More lies and deception, just to get what he wants.

He's one of the greatest tennis players ever, arguably the greatest... he shouldn't have to stoop to these tricks to get into a country, and he should have to do the same in matches, either.

I would liken it to the cheating which has poisoned soccer,  feigning injury, fans would
probably call it gamesmanship. Prove your greatness with your skill, not your acting abilities.

He is definitely a controversial figure, his fake injuries, his bouncing the ball 15 times
before every serve, his disqualification from the US GS, setting up an independent
players body with minimal support and now this, it all had to come to a head, unfortunately
in a big way like this which really affects his future (short term)
But this is will probably go down in the history books as probably a cheating scandal on his part and will add to Djokovic being a controversial figure in tennis and could be talk about for many years and could affect his name for the discussions of greatest tennis player of all time.

Unless he really gets to beat the record of Federer, but still his name will be synonymous with kind of scandal in AO 2022.
2879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 14, 2022, 12:42:41 PM
This fight, I believe that Spence has the edge, so I like to take the KO as Ugas style in boxing is very predictable, Spence can find a way to hurt him.

I hope this would not be the same as the fight of Ugas vs Pacman where everyone bet on Pacman. Again, this is the biggest fight of Ugas, and Spence will have a comeback fight after an eye surgery, so a lot of things to consider here but at the end of the day, we still choose to bet on the favorite which is Spence.
Ugas has a solid chin I believed, so it's not easy to get a KO on him unless Spence really fight a vulnerable spot and Ugas was caught off guard with that punch.

So far Spence has two comebacks already, first from his car accident that he survived, and the beat Porter. Now after his eye operation it will be Ugas. So two tough comeback fights for him, luckily he is still on his prime years that's why he was able to recover very quickly.
2880  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: January 13, 2022, 01:53:23 PM
I wonder when the price of Bitcoin will reach $ 100k +. Because at present the approval of bitcoin is increasing in different countries. And different countries based cryptocurrencies keep coming to the market. From that point of view, it is expected that the price of Bitcoin will increase the most. But in the next few years, the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise, so long-term Bitcoin will continue to improve. What is your opinion?
Even the market sentiment is positive in long run, the short term sentiment is "undecided". The active traders are always not ready to give up any of market movement which must be the driving force of fluctuations and long term holders who make use of dips are always contributing in long term higher values to be happening.

When active traders will be taking same kind of decision which is about having a new ATH then we can see $100k to be tested in this year. In my view, $100k may happen in few months or by end of this year as well.
It's really hard to say at this point whether we are going to hit $100k or not. It was supposedly at the end of the last year, but everything turns into sour, as the market goes into the opposite.

So what more this year? the market is really undecided so short term, I don't see any bounce back and it will be a hard grind to even set a new all time high this year. Because for the fact that we have reach it already in 2021, not once but twice already.
