2862  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take stock or hodl ? on: November 15, 2021, 06:26:31 AM
So with the current peak on Bitcon, Ethereum (and nearly all of my alt coins) is it wise to:

1) Take out the profit to either bank or reinvest when there is another dip
2) HODL in the hope that it keeps rising and rising

You can go with option #1 but is it really the peak yet ?
Determining the highs and lows is where many tend to make mistakes and lose their money.
If you are sure of the peak then you can sell and buy back later but if it goes otherwise then you will have to wait until it dips again otherwise you will lose your money.

HODL is the best option if you are unsure whether it is a peak or not. The price might fall but you won't lose your money unless you sell.
If the price increases your profits are increasing anyway. So sell if you are very sure and otherwise just HODL.
2863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know if current prices are corrected or going to correct? on: November 15, 2021, 06:14:53 AM
The current prices at any given time, how do you know if they are going to correct or are already corrected?

Like the prices atm.

You will be able to know that when you learn technical analysis and how to read charts.
There are many courses and tutorials available on the internet which can guide you to learn technical analysis.
Once you learn it, you will be able to easily differentiate between correction, retest, accumulation zone, pump etc...
Also, trading is only a game of probabilities and nobody can accurately predict anything.
Most of the times, it's the traders who predict higher probabilities of an event who gain profits from the market.

2865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you deal with your emotions after losing a lot of money on rug pulls? on: November 14, 2021, 05:22:54 PM
I know it isn’t easy for us to get over or move on with these rug pulls, but I wanna ask the community here. For the past few months, I’ve experienced the “expect the unexpected” moments without warning. To be honest, I have accumulated losses of more than $2,000 in failed meme coins, shitcoins, play-to-earn games that ended up being rug pulled.

I am aware of the risks and the amount that I can afford to lose, but it’s just that I find it hard to make that money back that I have hardly earned. But good thing I didn’t go all-in with my entire savings, and that’s a good thing. I just can’t resist myself from being emotional despite that I’m aware of the risks, and my heart was emotionally hurt too.

I wanna hear from you guys on how you deal with these rug pulls after losing huge amounts? Like how many days can you get back on track after being so emotional? Or what you’ve been doing in order to move on faster after you lost money on these rug pulls?

It will generally take a few weeks for you to digest the fact that you lost the amount. After a few weeks, you will start to let it go.
Once you let it go you will start to realize that how silly it was of you that you ended up putting in that money in all those rug pulls despite knowing the risks.
You will then decide to research wherever you put your money in. Then you will completely forget about the losses and move on with the experience.
This is how we learn from our mistakes.
2866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help with a exchange that has lowest fee on: November 14, 2021, 05:13:09 PM
What's the point of holding USDT in ERC20 chain while paying high fees for it when you can hold it on TRC20 chain while paying very less fees for the same.
The current gas fees for ERC20 transactions are so high that you won't be able to receive anything in the wallet for your transaction.
So it's either better to make the transaction on TRC20 or SOL chain.
2867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The reason why Crash Games usually crash at lower values on: November 14, 2021, 11:39:36 AM
We have to keep in mind that when we are playing for fun, we are putting in money that we can afford to lose.
So in this scenario, if we can afford to lose the money then there's no stress in losing which directly means that we can still have the fun while playing.
So it just depends on the amount of money that we give up for the fun.
Some people will try to play longer even if they lose some money because they want to recover their losses. We can afford to lose the money but if we still continue losses in gambling games, that will not be good for us because that can make us lose more money. Nothing we can get if that is the scenario because all of our money is gone without recovering it. So maybe we really need to manage our money and not use too big money just to play gambling.

Yes, money management is the key to fun in gambling. This is why as I said we should only gamble with what we can afford to lose.
In order to not lose more money while gambling frequently the best strategy is to deposit only that amount which you can afford to lose.
So even if you continuously gamble when you lose, you will still be losing only that specific amount and won't be able to gamble anymore.
Having a specific budget for gambling will limit our losses and our ability to gamble frequently.

Stocks crypto and all others are just the one way how to take your money.
Add there the fear of inflation and You get the perfect combination of greed and fear how 80% Will lose all.
If You are newbie Welcome to lose Money the news the fuds are designed perfect ways for You to lose Money.

Its just one way how to take your Money so that You Will Work More hours and cheaper salary for those who Got Money from You.

The profit does Not happens automaticly You need to Know what You are doing.

But all to say the whole point of the markets is to take your Money from You.

Finally, a rational analysis.
Stocks then forex and now crypto have been / are promoted as some "easy money" or "make money online" schemes which can't be further from the truth. As you correctly mentioned over 80% of traders lose, so much for an easy money scheme. It's mainly those unscrupulous entities which make money when most of retail traders lose.

If there's someone losing on one side then there is someone winning on the other side as well.
It's just that the person on the winning side has done more research and is a better trader than the one on the losing side.
Our goal is just to reach from the losing side to the winning side and that can happen only through experience and strong will to learn more every day.
It might sound easy but the journey to the winning side is where many people lose it and then lose their money.
2870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The reason why Crash Games usually crash at lower values on: November 13, 2021, 01:51:10 PM
Seeing our bet going 2x and 3x in a matter of few seconds does look amazing and that's what get us in trouble.
Luck is definitely needed if you are thinking to get some decent profits in crash game.
The most important thing is not to play the crash game continuously because that will just end up in losses.
Instead we can play at regular intervals but less number of games at a time.

These are just what one experiences when playing a crash game the feeling of regret when we hit stop and see our profit that could have gone ten times and the feeling of should have stopped early when I have 2 or four times profit, Crash game is a game of greed it measures your greed if you can control it and how far do you want to go and if you are comfortable in losing everything.

Those who play crash games are the ones who are greedy otherwise why would you play a crash game. You won't be playing this game to cash out the seed money on every game. You will try to stay longer in the game to earn more money. Sometimes if you are not greedy, you will quit early and not able to make huge gains in this game.

It's definitely not like that because I have been playing the crash game since a few years.
Although I started playing it to get profits from the crash game but eventually made up losses.
Then I quit playing the game for a few months and then started playing it again but this time for fun.
I realized that playing the game for fun is more stress free and enjoyable while playing for the money.
Well its quiet difficult to play game only for fun because we may think at start that we are playing only for fun but if we start loosing then there is no fun in it. Some one with a very strong mindset can able to do that as it is not easy to control your emotions at that time. Yes some people can do it but for me its quiet difficult to control when i start loosing.

We have to keep in mind that when we are playing for fun, we are putting in money that we can afford to lose.
So in this scenario, if we can afford to lose the money then there's no stress in losing which directly means that we can still have the fun while playing.

2871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 13, 2021, 01:48:59 PM

There is no way Mike Tyson will lose this fight willingly just for the sake of money. The reputation he has built over the years can't be given up just like that.
If the fight is scripted it will just be that Mike Tyson will receive a few punches as well but Mike Tyson won't give up losing the fight for money sake.

If we were only going to base on the record or reputation that Mike Tyson has built for all the years of his life in boxing then I will going to agree with you mate that there's no way that this man will lose however as a bettor and boxing fans we will not only rely on the record but also on the physical well-being of the fighter too. Mike Tyson is already on aged, he is also a human being that his skills, agility and strength do speed down and changes. No one is telling that he is not a good fighter but through his aged that's why I think Logan Paul has the edge on this upcoming bouts.

I honestly would avoid betting on this match because its just an exibition and can go eitherway just because of that.If Mike Tyson was a little younger he would just destroy Logan Paul. But we have seen the match with Mayweather,Logan Paul went the distance and he just wanted that. Logan Paul has the only advantage that he is younger,if Mike Tyson gets him once its over.

I'm not gonna do that, I like to have some fun while watching the fight and I'll probably spare some amount in this fight.

Mike Tyson is old, no question about that and yet he is still the favorite to win in this fight.

So what could that probably mean?
Is it maybe because the fans are hyping it?
when they hear the name Mike Tyson, do they automatically think he'll win?

Ofcourse there's the hype built up amongst the fans because it's none other than Mike Tyson himself.
He is the living legend in boxing which is also another reason why many have the faith on him to win the match.
Even I would place my bets on him because of the experience he has. It just requires one solid punch for the knockdown.
I think Mike Tyson can deliver that punch while defending all the punches from Logan.

Definitely 0% i would say and if you do look Logan on that previous fight against Mayweather then you could already see that stamina is also a big problem for Logan which
i wont believe that it could go par with the current old Tyson thats why im really that confident that he could snatch up this fight on easy win if he wanted to.
Well, as an exhibition fight  then this is already part of the script that they would need to dance inside the ring to entertain things up.

Lol, that's really true. Since all of this is just for money sake I think they can script out the total fight.
May be Tyson would also get a few punches on his face from Logan if that's on the script. What do you think ?
Will they go to such extent that they might script the whole fight or will Tyson keep his dignity and not lose it for money.
I think Mike still has his pride, some have stated that fights like this can ruin the legacy of a fighter and personally I do not believe so, however if the fight was scripted as you say I really think that is one of the few ways in which Mike could ruin his status as a professional boxer and a legend.

If he wants to do this for charity or because he needs the money or just because he misses being above the ring then that is fine, as long as the fight evolves within the rules of any fight then I have no problem with what happens above the ring even if he happens to lose, but a scripted fight is something that without a doubt the fans are not interested in watching at all.

There is no way Mike Tyson will lose this fight willingly just for the sake of money. The reputation he has built over the years can't be given up just like that.
If the fight is scripted it will just be that Mike Tyson will receive a few punches as well but Mike Tyson won't give up losing the fight for money sake.
2874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't ever quit your job to trade crypto. on: November 12, 2021, 04:11:59 PM
I have seen many people wondering if they should quit their job just because they started making profits.
What they don't understand is it is not necessary that they will continuously make profits in consecutive trades.
They might even lose money in the bear market if they don't execute the right trades.
Yet they are determined to quite their job. One should never quit their job before they have 5 years of experience in trading crypto.
Also, if you are young then you can take the pressure of doing a day job while still trading crypto part time.
This will increase your sources of income which you can again use in trading.
2875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Verified Information - Missed Opportunities on: November 12, 2021, 04:02:04 PM
This is exactly why you should never regret after you sell. The best strategy here is to not sell until you "need" to sell your coins.
If there arises a need for you to sell then never look back at it again. This way you never have any regrets of selling.
It also makes us hold our coins to the maximum. So far this strategy have been working very well for me.
2876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 12, 2021, 02:24:31 PM
It seems to me that it would be safer (and more convenient) to keep your crypto on an exchange (coinbase, blockfi etc) than cold wallet. Wouldn't the odds be greater that you mess up your cold storage than a large exchange being hacked or whatever (even if they are hacked, that wouldn't necessarily mean you would lose any coins, whereas if you are hacked that's a different story). I ordered a ledger nano X but it seems that the exchanges are still the way to go based on probabilities. What are your thoughts?

LMAO, that's a nice question and I think yes, crypto owners are indeed paranoid. Atleast the ones that I know are all as paranoid as me or may be more but not less.

Even if I would hold 0.001 BTC, I will prefer to hold it in a non-custodial wallet rather than on an exchange.
My wallet my coins. No wallet no coins. I just made that up and it makes sense  Grin

Same here, except I only locked most of my tokens  for 3 months. I think I also already got half of my money back with the WOF spins; but with the new rewards structure it may take a while longer before I will be in profit. Guess we just need to have patience.

Yeah I wanted the additional WOF per day plus I didn't want to think about FUN anymore lol. This is the ICO lessons of the past that teach me to just close your eyes and believe in the hodl haha.

Now everything I get from the additional WOF is a bonus already (once I cover from wagering, waiting for a nice RP bonus to pop another round into my shotgun). And after a year, the 25% bonus will be a healthy cushion for any potential crash Wink

What's the new reward structure you guys are talking about ? I have been spinning the WoF almost everyday.
Did I miss anything ?

I had recently bought 2500 FUN tokens and locked them up for 1 year. I like spinning the WoF.
I think we can easily get back half of the initial investment in 1 year from the WoF spins.

From what I have read it looks like they are operating a live casino and do not have a gambling website.
Also, it does not accept crypto as of yet so that will be challenging. Whether or not they accept crypto in future they will still receive a good response from the gamblers.
But if they plan on to create a gambling website too then that would be more beneficial for them and the gamblers as well.

2880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success for crypto will be bitcoin losing its crown to a stablecoin? on: November 11, 2021, 04:20:44 PM
Stablecoins will never make it to the top. I would rather hold my bitcoins and wait for it to appreciate than hold stable coins and get nothing in return.
This is the principle why many would hold an appreciating asset making bitcoin stay on the top until any other appreciating coin takes it's place.
Stable coins might make it to the top temporarily for example in a bear market but in the long run bitcoin will remain in the #1 position.
