Well, this thread just differentiated it from the rest of the posts around here in a major way. This may (one of) be the only good lookin bitcoin related company that is doing good and positive things for shareholders on this page as well as the ecosystem overall.
2882  Economy / Securities / Re: Cryptovest FS(CVFS) Official Investor thread (Get your IPO Bonus) on: April 17, 2015, 03:01:11 AM
This is why CryptoVest stands out around here. Yall are serious about furthering the business plan while always looking to get in touch with the shareholders and the prospectives thereof. Then, to offer this next Q&A in video form is quite powerful as well. This entire subforum page is lacking in anything near to this amount of transparency and effort and it speaks for itself. Well done, MO.

^If you knew and have witnessed how Fox works with their prime time shows, you'd be surprised that this was discussed and Rand was the beneficiary of the nicey talk about the whole subject on this neocon show. I could go on but this is it for now..

Paul-Wasserman Schultz Debate ‘Might Be a Hinge Point in Abortion Politics’

The Thursday panel of FNC’s Special Report with Bret Baier took on the late-term abortion debate between Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul and Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and included The Weekly Standard’s Steve Hayes declaring that it could represent a possible “hinge point in abortion politics.”

After The Hill’s A.B. Stoddard praised the way Paul has addressed the issue and admitted that the topic of late-term abortion is “probably a winning issue” for the GOP, host Bret Baier asked Hayes if Wasserman Schultz’s recent comments are “politically selling.”

Hayes responded by explaining how the liberal Congresswoman’s comments were “unwise” and that “this might be a hinge point in abortion politics” with Paul’s framing of the debate being “absolutely brilliant”:

He reframed the issue and suggested that journalists go to Democrats and ask the question. Now, I think it’s unfortunate that Rand Paul has to do that. You would think that journalists might ask this question on their own, but they don't and I don't think it's occurred to any mainstream journalists to ask this question in the last two decades[.]
With the way that Paul has “reframed” the issue of abortion, Hayes added that it could lead to an overwhelming victory in favor of Republicans as well as put Hillary Clinton on the defensive:

I think, not only did Rand Paul flip the question and maybe change the way that we’re going to talk about late term abortions, but it could be a model for other issues and if you look at what Hillary Clinton has done, she refused to answer a question from my colleague John McCormack at The Weekly Standard who went to her spokespeople and said, this is a very simple question. This is what Debbie Wasserman Schultz said. What do you say? She won't answer.

More and video which I saw live earlier tonight...http://newsbusters.org/blogs/curtis-houck/2015/04/16/steve-hayes-paul-wasserman-schultz-debate-might-be-hinge-point

I was almost blown away that this neocon show went ahead and gave Rand the kudos on this flipping of the abortion issue on the liberals, Charles Krautghammer was the other neocon panelist that didn't say anything during the segment and this was refreshing. Yall, check it out just a few extra minutes.

Sooooo, how long do I have to wait for the dump so's I can get some bids filled around here?

Looking for 250 CAD which would require around 180 USD I figure...

Still waiting for doooooom.........
With that mindset I hope GBTC doesn't straighten anything out this weekend to make things operational at the start of the week cuz things could get jumpy after the fact. I'm long w/ the big stash but short w/ the sandbox version just to play around.
2886  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL:How likely do you think it is we see double digits in 2015? on: April 17, 2015, 02:17:00 AM
I'm long no matter what but I do have a trading kitty that I use to play the ups/downs or whatever (some) calls I see from those that have a decent track record. At this point, I'm just playing litecoin w/ my play coinage and assembling a stash that may move a lot higher during the next bitcoin rally. I know those that are long now as well as the flip side and I have equal respect for both at this point from what I've seen of them in the past. All I know is that the liquidity swap interest rates for those using bitcoin are down quite a bit from just a week or two ago so go ahead and speculate on what that means.

The Science Is Settled!!!

Is Economics a science now?
The results just seem to be for sale to the highest bidders.
The international war on cash is accelerating.

What's next?...fine art, rare goods, will only exist in registries with a bank?

It is a reference to climate scientists, who now all claim that "the science is settled" for global warming. This enables them to label anyone not on the climate change bandwagon as a "denier". (Never mind that there is very legitimate reasons that show the theory is bunk)

Climate scientists are in competition with economists and the psychiatry profession for seeing who can make up the most shit out of thin air and get away with calling it "science".
These propagandists wouldn't even have jobs if they weren't given block grants to fund their "research" time and time again. It's so irritating (and that's being nice about it) that these shysters get to preach their garbage with taxpayers paying for it in many cases.

Apparently, that's what it will take for the masses to feel more comfortable about perhaps getting themselves involved in this territory. Better late than never I guess.
2889  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-04-16] Bitcoin is the world’s most dangerous idea on: April 16, 2015, 11:36:07 PM
It's amazing that more people haven't done their homework and came to the same realization which means the price point for bitcoin is bullish well on into the future. For average people, there'll be a fine line of success between those that have bitcoin and did their due diligence and the rest that were too caught wasting their time and resources on all the mainstream things that are sideshows.
2890  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [04-16-2015] Various US Charities Pushing For Bitcoin Donations on: April 16, 2015, 11:32:31 PM
Well, pound for pound more people that hold or will hold bitcoin will more than likely be more well off than any other genre of people so it only makes sense to accept it for donations over and above the ease and utility of accepting it.

Yep, both of them shiesters of varying degrees with Markypoo being in a league of his own in my opinion. I just hope he gets what's coming to him unless he magically reimburses all his customers in full plus punitive damages.  Either that, or make him the dishwasher at the prison he spends the next few decades of his life at.

2893  Other / Politics & Society / Can the President Kill Americans? on: April 16, 2015, 11:23:43 PM
By Judge Andrew Napolitano

Can the president kill you? The short answer is: Yes, but not legally. Yet, President Obama has established a secret process that involves officials from the Departments of Justice and Defense, the CIA, and the White House senior staff whereby candidates are proposed for execution, and the collective wisdom of the officials then recommends execution to the president, who then accepts or rejects the recommendation.

If the recommendation is to kill and the president rejects the recommendation, the CIA is directed to arrest the person. If the president accepts the recommendation to kill, then death is ordered. This is not unlike the procedure used in the reign of the monstrous British King Henry VIII, except that the king himself delegated the final say to his chancellor so that he could publicly disavow participation in the government murders.

Obama does not disavow them; he defends them. But the Constitution he swore to uphold makes clear that whenever the government wants the life, liberty or property of anyone, it must follow due process. Stated differently, it must either sue the person for his property or prosecute him for his life or liberty, and the law that forms the basis for the lawsuit or the prosecution must have existed before the person did whatever the government says he did that resulted in its pursuit of him. The whole reason for the requirement of due process was to prevent what Henry VIII did and Obama is doing from ever happening here.

It is happening here.

Hillary: 'How Our Kids are Educated' is a 'NON-FAMILY Enterprise'

Educating “the next generation” is “the most important non-family enterprise” we have, said presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to a six-person round-table at her first campaign stop in Iowa.

Hillary’s statement came in response to a question from one of the members of the panel, Diane, a high school English teacher. In a long and winding question, Diane said: “I think we’re very blessed to live where we do… we have all these opportunities… and I worry that not all of America gets to experience this treasure that we have, and I think the Common Core curriculum is a wonderful step in the right direction of improving American education and it’s painful to see that attacked.”

“I’m just wondering what you can do to bring that heart back to education in the United States?” asked Diane. “What can we do so that parents, communities, and businesses believe in education and that teachers… are respected…?”

“Wow, that is really a powerful, touching comment that I absolutely embrace,” said Hillary.

“When I think about the really unfortunate argument that’s been going on around Common Core, it’s really …painful,” she said, using Diane’s exact word.

Without addressing the deeply unpopular curriculum’s critics, Clinton spoke of Common Core’s apolitical beginnings, before saying:

“Your question is really a larger one: how did we end up at a point where we are so negative about the most important non-family enterprise in the raising of the next generation, which is how our kids are educated.”

Hillary continued: “There are a lot of explanations for that I suppose, but whatever they are, we need to try to get back into a broad conversation where people will actually listen to each other again, and try to come up with solutions for problems, because the problems here in Monticello aren’t the same problems you’ll find in the inner city… that’s a given, we have to do things differently, but it should all be driven by the same commitment, to try to make sure we do educate every child.”

“That’s why I was a senator and voted for Leave No Child Behind because I thought every child should matter… every child should have the same opportunity,” said Hillary.

She wants the state to have full control over education so they can keep dumbing kids down and never develop any critical thinking skills. It takes a village dontcha know. Roll Eyes

Entitled: Hillary Clinton Parks In Handicap Spot (and she doesn't tip)

While Ms. Clinton could become the second oldest president in our nation’s history and has suffered some serious health issues, there is no record of her being so infirmed she is entitled to take a parking spot legally reserved for someone who legitimately needs it.

Rules are for little people.

While America’s lapdog media chases her like groupies and pretends that ordering a burrito bowl (without leaving a tips) somehow represents her ability to relate to the common man, the facts are that her events are staged, she is lying Elizabeth Warren-style about her heritage, and now the Champion of the People is stealing parking spaces from no less than the handicapped.

Maybe it is because seven years later Hillary is “in some ways tired.”

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/04/16/entitled-hillary-parks-in-handicap-spot/

There was a youtube video of the parking situation but the local media (KETV) took the clip down. That's a testimony to the censorship that parts of the mainstream media bestow upon the ever so great hillary.

My bold prediction: On monday, A LOT will happen!
(Feel free to mock me if I'm wrong, he he)

I wouldn't count the weekend out either. This price wants to move.
Yes, it's possible that the stampede breaks out before the actual news  Wink
If and when this does occur, would this so-called stampede be the default ending of the bear market permanently or would this news just cause another pump and push back the final leg down that many people are expecting? I'd think this would be the former considering this would add significant demand to the market.

Presidential candidate Rand Paul is going to a crypto currency event on sunday...
http://www.coindesk.com/rand-paul-new-york-bitcoin-event/
Hopefully, he finally gets a good grasp on what crypto and bitcoin really is and what it can offer going forward. He's smart enough at least to realize that bitcoin type folks are more in line with what he has to offer as a presidential candidate. This is why I started my Rand Paul thread in P&S so more crypto minded folks would check him out and support him so he can make it to the oval office.

Fox News: JC Watts on his support of Rand Paul

This is one of the first black republican congressmen and he's well known throughout the party especially in the social conservative and tea party grassroots elements, so this guy speaking on behalf of Rand is definitely a positive for us. His support will Rand to these people as the media attempts to set up false narratives to drive these people from Rand.

Rand Paul stands out in packed GOP field, analysts say

Standing out among the giant field of potential GOP candidates is tough, but Sen. Rand Paul will likely have an easier time of it than the others when they descend on New Hampshire this week.

Mr. Paul’s more restrained foreign policy is likely to take hits from a number of his potential fellow candidates at the sold out “Republican Leadership Summit,” which will attract 19 GOP hopefuls to Nashua on Friday and Saturday — including a host of pointed critics of the Kentucky senator’s stance.

“Although he comes from a very different ideological perspective, in may respects he shares Obama’s perspective on foreign policy, where he thinks Americans presence in the world is provocative,” said John Bolton, the former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. (and neocon of the highest order), who is slated to speak. “You never know where he is going to come out on a national security issues because I think his principles are at odds with his ambition.”

Kelley Paul: ‘I’m going to work hard to elect Rand Paul’

BEDFORD, New Hampshire – The first-in-the-nation primary state received a visit from a potential first lady Wednesday.

Kelley Paul, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul, received a warm welcome from a crowd of mostly women in a private home where she stopped to promote her new book,“True and Constant Friends.” “I want to support Rand however I can,” Kelley told msnbc, adding, “I think that we need some new leadership, so I’m going to work hard to elect Rand Paul.”

Kelley said her role in the campaign is to support her husband and the rest of their family as they “juggle travel and a lot of demands” on their time. “I see myself giving some more speeches probably, helping with some of his messaging.”

The Kentucky senator’s wife is a former political consultant and will play a larger role in this campaign than her mother-in-law, Carol – the wife of three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul – ever did. “I think the Ron Paul campaign lost out by not using Carol more, early and often. Because once she started kind of putting herself out there, people absolutely loved ‘Luvie,’ as we call her. I would have liked to see more of her in Ron’s campaign.”
