2881  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: xrpceo2021.com on: April 15, 2021, 09:29:14 PM
Wow, someone just sent almost $200K worth of XRP to this shitty scamming sites? I had no idea that people still believe in the Giveaway scam  Shocked

Nothing much can be done as the transactions are irreversible at this point. Except that the exchanges could help avail you the information of the scammer, that's if he has passed KYC with them. I do seem some exchange addresses linked to the scammer's addresses through activations. But in order to get such information you may need to first open up some investigations with the local authorities plus so necessary documents.

I do see binance and Luno activations
2882  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitrue.com exchange is a scam on: April 15, 2021, 09:03:18 PM
-snip-

Basing on what you and other users have experienced with Bitrue. I am more than confident to confirm that they are scammers. First they claim that you were probably money laundering and then they jump into the arbitrage trading violation excuse. To me, it seems they weren't even sure which reason to give for blocking your account since you didn't violet anything, and they are just looking for ways of justifying their scam.

Honestly it's the first exchange whose Terms and conditions I have read that has something against arbitrage trading. It even makes more sense that they just planted the terms their not so long ago. Just to scam anyone who's trading to withdraw a good amount.
2883  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: April 14, 2021, 09:53:06 PM
Is there any success here for Enable account? I have completed the KYC process and it was a success. but must send photos to be able to activate the account.
in fact after I sent it until now there has been no reply from them regarding my account. Has anyone here ever experienced a case like mine? and how is the solution in this.
I have ever had a similar experience with them via verification though, I hadn't yet deposited any money in the account. Support was shitty as always and there was a point when my verification did not pass. When I tried contacting support, I never received any response to this date. Of course after 24 hours , I had already moved on to another exchange.
2884  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sesterce / Bitech on: April 14, 2021, 09:47:30 PM
I didn't accept the cloud mining contracts, that's my point. I really want to take them to court over this.. but they're in France, I'm in the United States, and as far as i can tell those laws didn't apply until recently. Idk maybe someone here can help me out because i have limited access to the internet..
Maybe you can gang up with a group of other victims and take them to court but I am certain it won't be easy to apprehend those scammers. First of all the main reason they use BTC for transactions is so that it's hard to track them down should they decide to scam people and the victims try to follow it up
2885  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally deposited USDT to ETH wallet on: April 13, 2021, 02:58:43 PM
Hi, I have the similar issue.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5329770.0

What do you think about of it, May I get my bitcoins back ?

Thanks.
Practically it's possible, but your biggest hurdles right now are both the Poloniex support (to accept to return the coins to the sending address) and Binance support (to accept funding your account once poloniex send Bitcoins to the address of their hot wallet)
2886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 11-Apr-21] on: April 12, 2021, 09:57:41 PM
Monero.cx campaign is now on Pause

Unfortunately monero.cx team has decided to push the campaign. So I will pay Round two participants from the escrow address and the campaign will be on hold until further update. Sorry about this sudden update. It's been a honer to work with you all who participated in the last two rounds.

You all are free to remove your signature codes.
2887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Using the same wallet address on two different blockchains (Ethereum and BSC) on: April 11, 2021, 08:33:40 PM
You can also add binance smart chain network on a web extension app like metamask or a web wallet like MEW.

For example on Metamask. Open your wallet account and add this details
Code:
Network Name: Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Full guide - https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/connecting-metamask-to-binance-smart-chain

Once you have added the BSC network, you will be able to switch between Ethereum Mainnet and BSC mainnet just with a click, and you will be able to access the address on both blockchains
2888  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Support Dont Want To Help Me!! Please Help !! on: April 11, 2021, 07:39:43 PM
Hi, thank you for your reply... I read some post on bitcointalk that Poloniex solve problem..  And I didnt send coins to wrong different btc wallet. I accidently sent btc to my poloniex usdt wallet.  Tether Company told me that if I got private key I can recovery myself but poloniex dont provide me private key. Poloniex can recover my coins. I already waiting them about of 19 days. I dont know why they dont solve my problem quickly. thanks.
The coins are very much recoverable if you had the private key of the address you sent them to. The problem is now whether poloniex, who have the private key will agree to help you recover the funds.

I have seen several cases like yours but involving different exchanges. A few I remember where involving coinbase and Kraken, but they never bothered to recover the funds for the victims. The most recent case was with Gemini, but support was kind, and they helped the person recover the coins. So it just depends on the policy of the crypto exchange. We just do hope Poloniex helps you out too.
2889  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My battle with the forum on: April 11, 2021, 02:58:38 PM
Welcome to the Forum.

As pointed out the deleted posts are in most cases off-topic or low quality. If you look at the stickies in different boards, you will notice a common warning. "Low quality posts do not belong here"
So the deletion of your posts should not discourage you from engaging in the forum but rather encourage you to do better and make much improved posts. Most members here have had their posts deleted in the past including me.
2890  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appeal for Pierre 2 on: April 11, 2021, 02:48:12 PM
The most common reasons as to why posts are usually deleted is because they are either off-topic or low quality. It's hard to judge this by just looking at your deleted posts. A thread from which your posts where deleted could give some clues.
1.  Were you making replies to spam mega threads?
2.  Were you replying old inactive threads that had not had any reply for a long time?
3.  Were you making responses in threads where other several members have already made similar replies/responses/discussions?

The temp ban is probably because of the number of deleted posts at that time (80)
2891  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance internal transfers on: April 11, 2021, 01:53:41 PM
I haven't done any internal transfers recently, but what I remember the withdrawal fee they are supposed to charge you will be visible when you are withdrawing but once they detect that the address you are sending the funds is one of their own addresses, the withdrawal fee will remain in your account. Check your account and see if there's any small amount of the coin let which you were trying to withdraw.

Also in the transaction history tab, you should be able to see an Internal Transfer label instead of the usual transaction ID
2892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a token? on: April 10, 2021, 09:59:53 PM
A coin has its own blockchain while a token doesn't have its own blockchain. It's built in and depends on another coins blockchain.
Theymos has a good explanation in this post

A cryptocurrency is self-sufficient, not relying on any other cryptocurrency to function (not including merged mining), and requiring its own software. A token works like a cryptocurrency at a high level, but relies on some other cryptocurrency's infrastructure in order to function, and often (but not necessarily always) lacks its own software.

Example 1
You create an Ethereum asset. This asset is entirely reliant on Ethereum's block chain to function. It is a token.

Example 2
You pick out 1 BTC and split it into 100 million satoshi. Each satoshi represents some part of a real-world thing, and gets a special ticker symbol. This is a token because it is completely reliant on Bitcoin's block chain to function.

Example 3
You create an Ethereum contract which allows anyone perpetually to trade 0.1 ETH for 1 YOURTHING and vice-versa. This is ambiguous, and may require moderator discretion. It may be considered a token, or it may be considered merely a flavor of ETH, belonging in Ethereum threads, etc.
2893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] How to use Blockchain Explorer to check status of your transaction on: April 10, 2021, 09:52:58 PM
I don't know if it's just me but I don't really like Blockchain explorer. Blockchair and mempool.space seem to be much better options for me as they can even show the priority/position of my transaction in the mempool

For example mempool.space will even show you the position of the transaction in the next blocks

2894  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Support Dont Want To Help Me!! Please Help !! on: April 10, 2021, 08:58:49 PM
Sending coins is a wrong address is a common problem that not so many exchanges help solve. I would not be surprised if poloniex don't help you with your problem but hang in there. Do not spam their email to an extent that they start ignoring your messages. Just give them time to respond to you and solve the problem.
2895  Other / Meta / Re: My account was stolen on: April 10, 2021, 08:04:48 PM
Right, they successfully tricked the mods. What's your point?

I don't expect the mods to read every post to see if the account was used as collateral. All i'm asking is to get my account back.
Good luck recovering it minus the original email address.

Its within your legitimate right to ask mod to delete old posts from the account  because you  are the new owner of the account and to prevent future dreamers such as this you need to take the percussion which you did by trying to delete stake wallet for recovery.  If you channel your complaint to the mod I believe you should be able to reclaim the account back.
Or he should just create a thread in the reputations board showing that the original owner of the account defaulted a loan and therefore the account should be tagged because I don't think he will get the account back.

He's too stubborn to accept the fact, but time will tell.
2896  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Deribit account blocked and can't withdraw. on: April 09, 2021, 08:44:32 PM
Apart from just say "We have detected suspicious activities". Have they actually listed to you the suspicious actives that lead to the blocking of your account?

I personally believe you fully deserve to know why your account was blocked rather than them just speaking in parable. Sorry about the bad experience though. It must be so frustrating to have a sizable amount of funds getting locked up in some unpopular exchange
2897  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Desktop APP on: April 09, 2021, 08:33:49 PM
Profit and Loss Account: They are not effectively accounted for on the phone.
Binance desktop app seems to have this pretty much covered  Wink
The phone app also has the feature though you have to dig deeper.

Create an account using encryption: such as using a private key, and others.
Being a centralized exchange, I doubt if Binance would introduce such a feature.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the app also can let you add multiple accounts to it just like you see it possible with the Twitter app or telegram app. One nagging thing is that they constantly push updates.

Do you mean that it is not safe to use binance on chrome or any browser ?
It is safe until you have a malicious extension/add-on installed in your browser or If you don't have strong security check for your account like 2FA

So you are suggesting not to use the binance desktop app right now and wait until they enhance it further ?
It's been there for a long time, I doubt if they will do any major enhancements, but you never know....
2898  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Forum on: April 09, 2021, 08:09:55 PM
You're right, but you forgot to mention that lion always defends his territory and proves his strength to all rivals, and often loses
Defend its territory against what? Hedgehogs, Mice, Antelopes or against another pride of Lions

I know you got my point though Smiley
Don't let the web interface fool you, Bitcoin Forum is the best in the crypto space, and we have no time trying to prove it to you guys. It's like a father holding a race vs his 3-year-old son just to prove who is the fastest
2899  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [SCAM] - iexhit.com Scam cryptocurrency stockexchange on: April 08, 2021, 09:50:11 PM
Hello, gentlemen, I guess that's true.  I stuffed $ 2,000 in there and I probably won't see them again.  It always rejects me when transferring to another wallet.  But only there they write something about 3 security and of those 3 you have to hit at least two correctly.
 This is written there.
What is a multi-signature cold wallet?
It is a USDT wallet that is stored offline and requires at least m of n signatures for any funds. On IEX Hit , the cost of any funds requires at least 2 of the 3 partners to sign. Are you sure it's already a scam?
Absolute scam. They are using the multi signature wallet excuse to confuse you and lie to you. The fact is that you are supposed to freely withdraw your money from an exchange minus requiring you to look for "2 of the 3 partners to sign"

When you were creating an account with them, I don't think it was operating on a multisig wallet.
2900  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Desktop APP on: April 08, 2021, 09:42:13 PM
I have used it before. It's not bad and logging in has been made easier via the QR code scanner on your mobile phone app. I also like the fact that you can open different tabs of different trading pair markets within the app
