Here's some very interesting news:

http://thesovereignexchange.com/content/greenbank-acquires-20-sovereign-exchange-international

the reason that it is interesting of iXcoin, is that iXcoin will be able to issue users defined currency (which potentially could be backed by precious metals).

Nobody in his right mind will use an insecure cryptocurrency network to back precious metals.
2882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 08, 2014, 04:13:43 PM
Other than the quest for exchange listing, how can I help?

Welcome.  What are your skills and what would you like to do?
2883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 08, 2014, 04:12:24 PM

Brilliant move to pin iXcoin against those 3 as those have huge market caps and yet they're new and unproven with too many coins out and way too many coins in the hands of a few who will dump on you the second buying picks up.  With ixCoin that simply can't happen as few hold many coins and the few that might have long term convictions.  And not to mention ixCoin will only have 21 million - way way less than some of these so called big and important metoo coins which just popped up out of nowhere.

I hope this colored coin code upgrade can happen quickly before others get the same idea.

The idea of a SmartCoin or SmartMoney is brilliant and I have not heard anyone call any of this digital money smart money.  iXcoin can really take off with this new name and make it synonymous with ixCoin.  That would be huge.

iXcoin is in a terrific strategic position.

iXcoin is already at 5.7 peta hash rate.    Protoshares is not going to even come close.  NXT PoS doesn't come close in terms of security.

iXcoin already has mined 17 million out of 21 million.  So you don't have that inflationary pressure that exists for coins like LTC, PPC or even BTC!

iXcoin rides on a separate block chain from bitcoin.  So you won't have Bitcoin foundation folks complaining about Spam like Mastercoin.

iXcoin will have native colored coin support.  So we don't have the Colored coin issue of having traverse the block chain back to its origin transaction.

Technically,  iXcoin has a technological superior solution among all SmartCoins/SmartProperty/SmartMoney (got to figure out a catchy term).

All these competitors only dream on being in a position that iXcoin is at.

2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING : iXcoin price up 100%! Network Hash Rate exceeds 1.5 PETA Hashes/Sec on: January 08, 2014, 03:32:17 PM
iXcoin Hash Rate is now 5,421,557.8190 GHs.

iXcoin is now #3 in ALL coins Bitcoin is #1,  Namecoin is #2.

iXcoin Hash Rate is now 5,760,192.0722

300,000 GHs increase since the previous report.
2885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of all cryptocoins on: January 08, 2014, 03:18:56 PM
Very small volume is a sign that all three NXT/Ripple/MasterCoin should not be compared by market cap. Distribution model is different and the actual number of coins distributed is unknown, so counting all of them is an obvious mistake.

Very small volume ... running in PRIVATE exchanges should tell you something.

Plus you keep saying these coins like Mastercoin and NXT are innovative.

All of their claims are VAPOR WARE.  NONE OF THE ADVANCED FEATURES EXIST OR WORK!   Even Protoshares is a clone,  it is just a funding vehicle for something that will come in the FUTURE!

YOU ARE PLACING COINS ON TOP BECAUSE THEY ARE INNOVATIVE, BUT THEY HAVE NOT IMPLEMENTED ANYTHING YET!!

You should also place iXcoin on the top of the list because... we plan on implementing the same innovation.  Like Mastercoin, Protoshares and NXT,   we haven't implemented it yet!

2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of all cryptocoins on: January 08, 2014, 03:15:05 PM
How is it that you list NXT and Mastercoin so highly when they aren't even traded in a legitimate exchange?

Also, aren't NXT and Mastercoin both 100% premined?

How is 100% premined and running an exclusive exchange not similar to what Bernie Madoff was running?

Let's get some transparency here folks!

We are now considered just another "DOGE" . Damn!

Lol, you gotta be kidding me.  Infinite, quark and ZET are all in a higher category than iXcoin.  Those coins are new, unproven (under 6 months old) CrapCoins with a near defunct network hash rate and a massive number of coins outstanding with a few people holding massive amounts.  What a joke.

And look at 2 of the 4 Bit and Important coins - NXT and master coin - 2 totally premined CrapCoins.  Who is writing this stuff and why don't they state clearly:  these are 100% premined coins and you can't get any unless you pay the scammers who took all the coins for themselves?

I mean, They're still calling iXcoin a scam coin for a 2% premine yet they're calling these unproven coins Big and Important when they had a 100% premine.

We really need to get the word out cause iXcoin is really not seen for the coin it can't be.  This is very upsetting.

Absolutely ridiculous,  some guy pre-mines 2% of a coin 2 1/2 years ago and its called a scam.    Now 2 organization release coins a couple months ago that are 100% premined and it is now all kosher?

People are going to see through all the B.S. eventually.      Anyway, that is why among the advance coins... iXcoin will look the most fair among them (i.e. Mastercoin, NXT, Protoshares etc).
2888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 08, 2014, 03:07:29 PM

Is this ... wedding ... with MasterCoin going to happen?

No response yet.
2889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 08, 2014, 03:03:04 PM
The chart you're talking about is the unique positive correlation Vlad was always spouting off about which gave me the courage to accumulate ixc.  It was quite an interesting observation which nobody else noticed for some odd reason.  Probably case everyone thought iXcoin was dead.  lol.

Right now I too think there's some deep pockets accumulating ixc and probably a few other coins.  The guy who launched the first Bitcoin ETF said last week that serious walls street money is 3-6 months away.  Months ago Vlad was saying major Wall Street players were coming into alt coins and specifically THIS YEAR so it's awesome to hear a huge insider echo what was seen as a madman rambling and that we will soon see billions rushing into these coins and along with that money will come their media buddies.

Now let's hope Vlad the Impaler was also right that these Smart Wall Street money would look at iXcoin and see the second coming of Bitcoin and all will get behind it and make it their own.  Of course, if this is true then it would make perfect sense that these bankers are accumulating massive amounts right now.  Cause these guys don't come in before they're already in....really in.  And if a big insider thinks they're gonna be here in the next 3-6 months then that means their sneaky trading games have already begun.

Accumulate all you can while there is still time - that's what I'm trying to do.

That is why, iXcoin has to market itself to appeal to the Wall Street players.

Playing this game of trying to be the next DOGE is not the right game to play.

The game I am trying to preach is one of (1) Internationalsm  (2)  Security  (3) Maturity and (4) Innovative Technology

Nice and boring!

We are now considered just another "DOGE" . Damn!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0

That list is ridiculously biased.

NXT and MSC as Big and important?  Those are barely traded anywhere.

QRK, ZET and IFC as Major alternatives?  The only reason these are high in market cap is because they have a ridiculous number of coins.

2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NMC holders where you at?? on: January 08, 2014, 02:55:58 PM
Does NMC even have potential to skyrocket like LTC?

For example, it's not ridiculous to assume BTC may go as high as $10k or more... but NMC? No one wants to pay $10k for a domain name.

What determines the price of NMC, is it based on the market cap like BTC? Where do you guys see its real value saturating at? Just want to get an idea

NMC has consistently #3 liquidity in the BTC-E exchange.

1  Bitcoin $ 10,279,858,212 $ 840.34 12,232,975 BTC $ 97,463,322 -5.62 %
2  Ripples $ 2,360,148,917 $ 0.024 99,999,998,168 XRP* $ 79,421 -6.60 %
3  Litecoin $ 604,591,953 $ 24.50 24,681,342 LTC $ 63,328,666 -7.21 %
4  Peercoin $ 126,336,219 $ 6.01 21,026,491 PPC $ 6,170,561 -3.90 %
5  MasterCoin $ 75,231,644 $ 133.59 563,162 MSC* $ 209,895 -18.35 %
6  Namecoin $ 50,306,687 $ 6.53 7,704,592 NMC $ 8,013,423 -6.51 %

Coins that have a high valuation Ripples and Mastercoin really have a fictitious market cap.

Namecoin's volume is actually larger than Peercoin,  now Peercoin is 3 times more valuable?  Trading volume for LTC 6 months ago was like Namecoin is today,  so just wait 3 months and expect a $70 valuation.

In short.... best advise... store the coin elsewhere and .... WAIT.
2892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 08, 2014, 02:38:16 PM
And I doubt anyone has more than 1%, even pools, as ixCoin was seen as such a plague - I think every large holder dumped iXcoin on any price spike since it always looked like it was gonna die any second.  That's a good thing and it explains why there are never any huge sellers - as there are no real large holders.  This coin is perfectly set up to skyrocket if demand ever spikes.  Another thing the so called Wall Street bankers should see in this coin, which no other coin has, as most/all other alts were accumulated heavily by just a few people early on.

Cause even though ixCoin was cheap, nobody except Vlad and maybe one or two other random secretive guys accumulated any meaningful amount and that was because iXcoin always looked dead last and a coin ready to die and be forgotten.  So I can't imagine anyone have the conviction to buy and hold more than 1% when there were always coins with a much better appearance.  Vlad had a crazy conviction about this coin but it was in isolated event I think so besides him I really doubt anyone has a really large amount of coins - including the wannabe dev, Thomas the Crook.

Please consult the charts found here:  http://www.ixcoin.co/?page_id=80

Click on them to get a better view.

The most telling is the IXC BTC chart... it is virtually constant for a long time.  What that means is that as BTC goes up IXC also goes up.  So all the gains since April 2011 by BTC are also gained by IXC in terms of USD.   People who sold IXC years ago sold in about the same in BTC as it is today.   People who bought, also bought in about the same in BTC.

The problem is that people are secretly accumulating the coin.  Vlad is one of those folks.  This is one reason you never hear from him.

It is a very DUMB STRATEGY in fact, simply ruined my original pump that drove the price up to the .0004 range.   What kind of idiot massively dumps the coin in seconds after a run up from .0002 to .0004?   Some greedy idiot trader.

That's why I have little respect for the Vlad character... besides... he owes me some bounty!
2893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 08, 2014, 02:31:10 PM

I personally believe nothing comes from nothing. ... Pile up .. Forget them for 1 year ...
Wake up, dear community! The cryptoworld is moving fast!

Unless we move faster (even in consideration of a 2 years delay due to absence of promotion),
Ixcoin will miss all the important events of 2014, not just a Bitcoin conference.

Promotion + development.

Dexter44 + FrictionlessCoin = NOT ENOUGH, NOT EVEN CLOSE.

Unless we start seriously to plan and accomplish, nothing will happen in one year.

There is a Draft Press Release:  http://ixc.boards.net/thread/25/draft-press-release

Could you please comment and return feedback on it?

We have a budget for this that will go out on the financial news wires (i.e Bloomberg, Yahoo etc).

Thanks!
2894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 08, 2014, 10:55:01 AM
....

We have a cooperative relationship right now with I0Coin, in fact I've sent their lead developer some of the bounties for his contributions toward the IXcoin 0.8.6 client.

.......
I really need to set more time aside to keep up with the forums opposed to staring at the IXC & BTC markets/orderbooks. Even more so after seeing iXcoin not listed on the Coin payment thread with one of the response saying "Is there even an iXcoin community"...as ludicrous statement.

With that said, I apologize if this is easy to be had information but is there a link that someone could direct me to regarding the information of the development of the IxCoin client update. Ive read over a number of our threads multiple times but cant remember the status of this and other pertaining information.

www.ixcoin.co download section has

(1) The source code to the 0.8.6 client
(2) Binaries for Mac OS X

We are testing it and so far it looks good.  No issues at this time.

Yes, the development team has a lot to update.  That is why we can't be burning our time with marketing.  I am glad Dexter44 has stepped up to this challenge.

Yes... watching the IXC charts are a waste of time... move the coin into cold storage and come back a year from now.  Historically for 2 1/2 years, IXC has remained relatively constant versus BTC (look at the statistics page at www.ixcoin.co ).  What that means is,  as BTC gains versus USD, IXC gains versus the USD.
2895  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: January 08, 2014, 03:27:33 AM
frankly I would rather have them head down building my machine than chatting with you.

You think their hands are full "building" miners? LOL. "Building" consists of plugging completed boards into a PC case, of which there are a grand total of 2 confirmed builds in the past few months. My grandmother could "build" faster than that between shuffleboard sessions while her arthritis is acting up.

Wait,  to be fair,  2 confirmed builds for folks who bother to confirm on this thread.  Not every AMT customer is watching this thread.   What I would like to here is if there is a "unconfirmed build".

Can anyone confirm if they DID NOT GET THEIR ORDER?
2896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could someone explain Proof of Burn to me? on: January 07, 2014, 10:48:24 PM
Why should some fat cat make more than a newbie?  The fair way is,  if you burn 100 coins,  you have 100 times larger chance of receiving the mining subsidy that someone who burns just one coin.

but that's not fair... fat cats still make more: they have more to burn, so they would get all the coins

Well, then you don't make the buying power linear.   In other words rather than 100 coins giving you 100 times larger chance, make it 50 times larger chance than one coin.    This allows the masses a bigger chance at the coins.
2897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 07, 2014, 10:45:00 PM

DO IT NOW PLEASE

Here it is. The link for a vote. Even I0C is included. Not IXC, of course.

Community, if you esist (doubts in my mind about your existence) send your vote asap, even if IXC doesn't exist in the list.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397540.0

I posted to that thread as well requesting ixCoin be added.

Can all the ixCoiners who read this take literally 30 seconds out to post on that thread asking for ixCoin to be added.

Thanks!

You are N.1

Could you post on the ixc.boards.net  individual tasks so that we can set up a bounty for each.

Thanks.

Please add iXcoin to the list.

Thank you.
2899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt source code flaw reports on: January 07, 2014, 10:36:28 PM
To fix this weakness forever, a simple no money, no fee transaction could be executed. Whenever you open a wallet, if the NXT client notices that your account on the chain doesn't have a public key associated with, it could issue a 0nxt/0fee transaction that is meant to record the key.

So every new account which gets opened just for a second would get 'loaded' into the blockchain. then, someone would open thousands of thousands of accounts to bloat the blockchain just for fun. i don't like.

wrong?

I have no idea why this implementation did not start with Bitcoin ideas and improved on them.

This re-invent the wheel from scratch really isn't a good idea.

All one had to do was replace Bitcoin's proof of work with NXT proof of stake.  But no,  it was more like, let's building everything from the ground up.

Anyway, my 0.5.1 just had the usual negative blocks crash and tried to rescan everything...

Not sure if you already know... but 0.5.2 is out!   Wink
