As soon as there not enough bitcoins and last one would be mined, there will no possibility to make transactions using bitcoins.

Miners collect transaction fees too.

It is also worth to add that it will be very slow process. Not like miners are getting reward poof miners are not getting reward. Reward will decrease each 4 years until it will reach little more than 1 sat (after more than 100 years from now). After another 4 years and next halving reward will be smaller than 1 sat - not transferable - no reward other than fees.
I don't think that anyone will even notice this 1 sat but if it will be imporant for miners i don't see a reason why not soft fork BTC adding micro-satoshi (1/1000 of 1 satoshi) and continue to reward miners for another 40 years thanks to extra 3 decimals.

It is not possible to run out of coins. Even If 99% of supply is burned (lost wallets etc), price exploded and currency is not tradable (price is to high to pay for small things) you can always add decimals just like during hyperinflation elites are cutting decimals to avoid carrying money in a wheelbarrow instead of a wallet.

Coinmarketcap startuje z programem airdropów w cyklu "kasa za wiedzę". Pierwszym airdropem jest 10$ w BAND.

https://coinmarketcap.com/earn/project/band-protocol

Dla leniwych załączam odpowiedzi do quizu:

https://medium.com/@crypomania/new-coinmarketcap-x-band-protocol-earn-crypto-program-fbd9ee7a2bf8

There is no way to lose that much eth that fast and end up with 0. I guess that you have other currency now (just like jackg said). Show us your public eth adress and we will try to help you.

You are talking shit about gold - it is used as wealth storage against inflation because there is limited amount of gold available.
Same is with bitcoin or any other limited supply coins - they will be used only for speculation or storage.
Bitcoin will never be used for payments so it could not be used for real economy.
Economy needs working fiat / assets / currency used for payment and you need to control it by emitting new coins or burning useless one.
As soon as there not enough bitcoins and last one would be mined, there will no possibility to make transactions using bitcoins.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Gold is not used by everyone because it is inconvenient. It is impossible to pay 2.99$ for beer using gold bar. 90% people that you will ask on the street what "inflation" is and how high inflation is now and why will not know the answer. Don't tell me that people love fiats because government and banksters can steal money from them. Its stupid. They are using it because it is an official way of payments, and they are too focused on earning and spending it that they don't have time to educate how money work and why they are doomed to work till death because of banksters greed.

Quote
A gold standard is a monetary system in which the standard economic unit of account is based on a fixed quantity of gold. The gold standard was widely used in the 19th and early part of the 20th century. Most nations abandoned the gold standard as the basis of their monetary systems at some point in the 20th century

Currency without inflation can work and was working for hundreds years.

We had gold standard before 1971 so you basically can't imagine how people leave 50 years ago? What happened after 1971?

source of all

Don't think that this is done to help the poor and needy

Sure, wages have gone up, but prices have gone up more.

The biggest inflation fault is that you are doomed to work till the end of your life. You can't be a smart 20 yo guy who earned 1 mln and retired. You have to work all the time because all your saving are secretly stolen by devaluating them. Your money are not yours. You have to spend them on useless shit (stimulating the economy in the wrong direction) and continue to work. You have to buy a flat that you dont need (China Has 65 Million Empty Apartments) just to put your money somewhere. You need to buy gold that you dont need. You need to buy someone debt and so on. To simply not be robbed by inflation.

Fixed amount vs. infinite coins

Fixed mount is dumb, because there will sooner or latter run out of coins.  Infinite supply is solution.  What matres is schedule that is set in stone before first block is mined and stay that way forever. So at any point we exactly know how many coins will be in existence at any time.

There is now way to run out of coins. I guess it is 10 times less possible than hitting hyperinflation. Maybe that's the reason why there is no hyperdeflation word ??

As far as I know the signature campaign is not a paid bounty (not sure), meaning that anyone willing to spread awareness can join and wear the signature. Have anything changed? I am asking because I can leave my current signature campaign and join Idena one.

If not, I will wear the Idena signature anyway when my current campaign will end and till I'll find a new good one, which usually takes weeks.

Cheers!

Its a paid bounty now and recruitment is still ongoing if you are interested.

2886  Economy / Economics / Re: Fixed amount vs. infinite coins on: August 15, 2020, 03:27:30 PM
But in last 3 years there were lot of adoptions of BTC Bitcoin mainly on trade markets.
But still no real daily market where the people use bitcoinBTC as a payment - just get out and try to buy a food for Bitcoin - almost impossible.

Limitation of amount for a coin like bitcoin or any other altcoin as well low inflation makes it only worth to use as wealth storage.

Gold were also a payment unit till middle of last century, but now it is only wealth storage and speculation object on market.

You are talking shit that elites want us to believe in. Currency deflation is a blessing. Inflationary fiat money makes us spend it is as fast as possible stimulating economy in wrong direction. Eating our savings. Makes us work till death because there is no amount of money that will not be wipe out due to hyperinflation that happens once per 28 years on average. It forces a writer, actor or musician to be an investor (otherwise they see how their savings go down month after month due to inflation) and in most cases ends in loosing all money. In china there are ghost towns full of apartments that people buy just to invest somewhere- avoid inflation.

Inflation is an ugly bitch. A way to steal your money secretly.

Bitcoin is not gold and this is not "middle of last century". Gold is hard to divide, hard to proof that it is real for average user. That's why it was replaced with money. Not because it is not inflationary. Than money backed by gold was replaced with fiats because of greed. Not because inflations is good.

You are saying - it is not worth to use bitcoin, use fiats that are infltionary. I'm saying sell you shitty fiats and be all-in crypto like I am. Your wallet is deflationary, you are earning by simply not spending and when you want to buy someting you use crypt-fiat cards like the one from crypto.com

You don't need to hold fiats anymore.

I don't see any correlation Smiley

Now seriously, unlimited QE surely raises the price of bitcoin, because it lowers confidence in money and confidence in the safety of savings, but I doubt it have a short-term impingement in the price.
2889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: August 15, 2020, 05:53:14 AM
Investment is highly predictable, if you "investing" not giving money to casino or some shitty start ups. The last two is more about gambling when you don't know will you get your money back or not.

Investment in casino bankroll is also highly predictable. I've spend few years on stocks. Seeing insider trading, fake quarter financial reports (corrupt officials let them pass), instant 0 in 1 day when this scam come out. Nothing is 100% zero risk investment.

I estimate exist scam (major risk) at ~10% (casino earns 50% of bankroll in 1 year), 20% if bitcoin will pump to 20k+ (high bitcoin price gives better financial motivation for exit scam, in some cases you are doomed to exit-scam because of high bitcoin price (implementing fractional reserve system before)). So if my investment yields 50% annually than it is good risk/reward ratio.
2890  Economy / Economics / Re: Are there any investment websites that accept bitcoin? on: August 14, 2020, 04:56:03 PM
There is no exchange that enable to trade stocks, accept BTC does not require KYC and has reputation high enough to deposit funds there. But i think that it could be next big thing. SP500 futures on binance (no KYC) or tokens backed by real stocks or materials (like gold token - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5161544.0 - backed 1:1 with real physical gold)

2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: August 14, 2020, 04:36:33 PM
Damn, man. You're giving money to casino and will get it back with some probability. And with some probability will not. you can't call it "investment". This is TRUE gambling, in fact.

Difference between gambling and investing is that in gambling you can't predict outcome with only input data (in investment you're able to do that). There exists only expected value (EV) of your event.

If investment in casino is not an investment than name 1 investment that is worthy to be called that way. I'm sure that I will laugh 90% of your suggestions.

You can estimate your earning better than in every other investment (half of house edge) and yes... this is investment not gambling. Casino does not gamble. Casino earns on gamblers due to statistic advantage over them (math is a guarantee of your success here) and you earn when casino earn.

It has risks but there is no asset that does not have risks. But as long as you do money management right, risk/reward ratio is ok, position size/wallet size is ok then why not? Is it better to invest in SP500? With average P/E = 20? Or popular DEFI with 0 earnings and butifull story that might work or might not? This is solid investment with great roi. You only need to calculate position size just like with every other investment.

I still preffer and recommend qTrade over hotbit. Hotbit withdraw fee is 10 iDNA, while on qTrade is 1 iDNA.
Me too. This 1 and 10 iDNA is not much compared to fairness. Hotbit is fake trade, no API scam exchange.

Together with hotbit listing Idena change ticker from DNA to iDNA.

Date is 2020-08-12 idena is ranked 2471 on CMC

2895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: August 09, 2020, 05:52:27 PM
Thank you for your comment. Stacking is not currently being implemented. We cannot add a pair with USD due to different regulations. Selling gold for USDT will require KYC and AML.

As i remember correct owner of GOLD token is not a owner of real gold. It is only backed by physical gold.

Also USDT/PAX and many more are not 100% regulated in most countries.

2. No. The GOLD token buyers are not owners of physical gold. Buyers own only GOLD tokens. Digital GOLD bought gold and store in in the BullionStar Vault. 1 token equals 1 physical gold gram.

So it should be easy to bypass KYC and AML requirements or I miss something?
2896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Closing a futures position at 70700 ADA on margin balance and getting 52000! on: August 09, 2020, 02:32:21 PM
There is also something you mentioned about market liquidity. I know what you mean. But how did that liquidity appear just after my trade in a microsecond for the price to go back where it was? If liquidity can appear and disappear in a microsecond upon clicking on that closing trade button, there is no way of verifying liquidity. You just click and hope for the best lol.

If someone market sell few k Cont and eat all order book, trigger stop-loses and over leveraged trades than there is no liquidity short after that (the volume is adequate for this scenario). It appears back seconds after because of arbitrage trading bots, spread/slippage trading bots and others. Possible but it is like u said - very low chance that it happened just before your trade and You didn't see it due to UI lag.

If binance will not take responsibility for this trade (matching engine bug) than try to get something blaming them for p.2 (interface lag bug).

BTW mobile or web client?
2897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Closing a futures position at 70700 ADA on margin balance and getting 52000! on: August 09, 2020, 11:41:05 AM
I see 3 options:

1- you did not check price at the moment of selling (you check if few sec earlier before flash crash) - bad luck
2- network latency bug (you did not see price crash while performing trade because of delay caused by spam of trades) - super bad luck
3- front running - popular strategy in not honest exchanges (even brokers on regulated market). Simply exchange seeing big order coming to orderbook calculate if it is worth to dump price using their coins and create buy order that will be filled with your order (all is done faster than a blink). 0 risk cheat strategy for exchanges. But to be honest i doubt that the biggest, the most trustful, the most influential exchange with more than 1B $ annual profit will try such thing.
2898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Closing a futures position at 70700 ADA on margin balance and getting 52000! on: August 09, 2020, 11:07:40 AM
Anyway, if it's true that you bought (long)  at 0.142x and sold (closed) at 1.411 then you definitely lost money and how much depends on your margin.

It is not questionable and OP does not question this. He questions the fact that at the moment he pushes market sell button price that was on his screen was 0.143 and account balance was 18k ADA higher (~2k$).

@OP you can try to get refund by blaming network latency (the case that you did not see current price due to lag caused by flash crash). I doubt you will get full refund but 100$-500$ is always better than nothing.

Please note that times are in CET. Anybody can verify that at the time of selling price was never to be at 0.14111, within that whole minute.

I see that we had a flash crash here with 5% amplitude from 0.143 to 0.136. It happened exactly on 18:51 8/8/2020 right when your sell order was. Maybe in fact you market sell in the moment of extreme low liquidity.
