2881  Other / Beginners & Help / Frequently Ask Questions(FAQ) & Answers about cryptocurrency scam. on: October 01, 2021, 06:01:32 PM
It's taken a few days to write this post. I just make a note and maintain it for a few days, whenever found the issue just note it together. So here is a few common questions that we see often on the forum. Hope this thread will help to get an answer to common frequently asked questions.

1. Someone on social media or a website offer me to double my cryptocurrency within a day or month. Should I invest there?

Answer: No, there are no such money-making machines that would double your funds, either online or in real life. Sending funds to them mean you lost it forever.

2. A website or a person giving away free cryptocurrency, they are asking to send a small amount of crypto to a confirmed receiving address. Should I send the fund?

Answer: No. This is totally a scam. If someone wants to give you free then it should be free without sending funds. Keep in mind, nothing is free in the world.

 3. After the scam the agency recovered my funds and they are asking me to send 10% of the recovered fund to unlock or release my funds. Should I trust them?

Answer: No, you are going to being a scam once again if you trust them. Cryptocurrency is irreversible, it's impossible to recover through an agency.

4. A cryptocurrency platform asking to deposit to withdraw my bonuses. Should I deposit there?

Answer: Keep in mind, any legit cryptocurrency platform will never ask to make deposits to withdraw your bonuses. It's just a pure scam.

5. A trusted user of the forum contact me via telegram or any other social media to make a deal. Should I trust the user?

Answer: Obviously not. Ask him to send you a PM through the forum and verify with him if you are talking with the real person. Ask him in detail through forum PM. Use the escrow service of the forum for any deal or trade.

6. A website asking to input my seed phrase or private keys to get the free giveaway or bonuses. Should I input that?

Answer: No. Don't share your wallet credentials with any third party. Inputting your seed or private key means you lost your funds forever.

7. A cloud mining website offers a high return on buying a mining plan. Can I trust a cloud mining site?

Answer: No. You shouldn't trust cloud mining sites. All cloud mining sites are scams nowadays. It's just a Ponzi scheme. Buying a cloud mining plan means lost your fund forever.

8. One of my friends got a return from a Ponzi Scheme site or from a high return offering site. Since the site is paying should I invest as well.

Answer: Don't do this. Most likely your friend is lucky that's why he got to return his funds. You wouldn't be lucky enough like your friend and most likely you will lose funds. Because often Ponzi Scheme circulates money from new investors to earlier investors.

9. I received mail (spam mail) to get free Bitcoin. It does require click a link or download an app. Should I do it?

Answer: No. Don't click on the link or download the apps. Because most likely attackers got your mail from a leaked database and they targeted you to hack your device. You might be lost everything if you attempt to click the link or download the apps. Just delete the mail or message. You might receive such a message on other social platforms as well. So don't respond to that kind of message and report them.

10. Someone posting on the forum about an investment platform where we can multiply our funds within ours or day. Should I take advantage of it?

Answer: No and never. Posting on the forum means nothing, it will not change the fact. Just avoid this kind of post and report it to the scam accusation board.

11. I want to start a lending business on the forum. Should I lend funds without collateral?

Answer: No. If the borrower isn't high trusted on the forum, shouldn't lend funds without collateral. Otherwise, there is the risk of losing funds.

12. After posting a crypto-related problem on the forum got a few PMs from other users, they want to help me with my issue and they are asking for credentials related to the issue. Should I trust them?

Answer: Don't share your personal credentials with anyone. Ask them to help you publicly. Most probably scammers target you to scam. Just report to admin from the PM. And share with the community. The community would suggest to you who is the right person to help.

I will update the thread in near future if fund more questions & answers.
2882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto misinformation is turning into an issue for people new to the game. on: September 30, 2021, 06:56:01 PM
It's a common issue, especially on the forum. But it's not hard to verify a subject to the internet nowadays. You can't trust blindly in the internet world. I know a lot of misinformation threads around the forum. But I notice then mentioned there, so others could read it. Sadly we are very lazy. We become conscious after an incident. Before that, who cares?

So just be careful from misinformation spreaders. Don't trust without verifying information. If we don't have enough knowledge about cryptocurrency then spammers could confuse us soo quickly. It's quite important to learn in a proper way regarding cryptocurrency to identify misinformation ad well. Otherwise, we don't know who is right and who is wrong.
2883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh may be approve bitcoin very soon according to ICT MINISTER on: September 30, 2021, 06:47:44 PM
Seems he is very positive so far to approve Bitcoin in Bangladesh. But Bangladesh bank's statements are totally different. It's not an easy task for Bangladesh to accept Bitcoin due to various reasons. But I am positive though it's a lengthy procedure. Just giving a positive speech on the press briefing wouldn't help to allow Bitcoin. A legal authority should take a step like Bangladesh banks about Bitcoin legalization. The entire government should think about positivity. We can't prevent money Laundering ever, either with Bitcoin or with fiat money. Millions of dollars saving on Swiss Bank, who are they? Government should realize the positive sides rather than just accuse Money Laundering. Then it would possible to legalize Bitcoin. But I don't think very soon the Bangladesh government will allow Bitcoin.
2884  Economy / Economics / Re: Where will people save money- A report by Prothomalo on: September 30, 2021, 06:37:05 PM
Only the lazy people will save money into the bank for interest. I know we have to keep our funds in the bank anyway. But locking your funds for a period and return very low isn't a good decision. Rather than just invest in a solid business where is less risk, doesn't matter profit is less, but it will more than banks. A lot of solid business around us. Doesn't necessarily just wait for saving certificates. But it really depends on your real-life situation what you will do with your funds. I just expressed what I will do if I have enough money. On the other hand, everyone isn't familiar with the stock markets and there is a risk as well.
2885  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Alpha Incomes cloud mining Ponzi Scheme. on: September 30, 2021, 05:56:14 PM
But OP, members here are well aware of the shady nature of cloud mining schemes, and this Alpha Incomes site isn't advertising on bitcointalk, so why the warning?  The only thing you're doing is giving them advertising, albeit bad advertising.  There might be suckers here who see this thread and decide they might want to try their luck.  I'd understand if they had an ANN thread or something, but they don't.
Good question. Supposed to be the link on the code, so no one can click the link. Regarding your concern about advertising, do you think the section of scam accusation is the place to advertise this kind of service? What else can we do if people invest in it from the warning post? Is there any way to save them? Investing from warning posts like a suicide attempt. The warning is necessary because once I use the search button of the forum about this domain, nothing is found. So if a user thinks to invest in that site and try to get reviews from the forum by using the search button then he won't get anything. But now, if anyone wants to find reviews by using the forum search button then he could discover this thread and will find all the warnings and discussion here. That's why this warning.

Still do you think the warning should consider advertising? I don't think so.
2886  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Alpha Incomes cloud mining Ponzi Scheme. on: September 29, 2021, 03:30:35 PM
I wasn't aware that there are still these kinds of scam tactics. I thought most scammers have turned into project-based and are just waiting to pull rugs underneath investors. Thanks for sharing, OP.
Still, there is. It's true everyday scammers coming with new tactics to scam innocent (greedy) people. But there are a few scammers who are using old tactics. It's because they just bought a template (likely for $10 less or more) and change the name logo. So scammers don't need to invest much to scam us. Whatever enters their pocket it's the profits of the scammer. The scammer just mixed Ponzi with cloud mining, so that they could gain trust from greedy people. I don't think someone who has basic knowledge about cryptocurrency will ever try their luck here.
2887  Other / Meta / Re: Here Is One Reason Why Legendary Members Get So Many Merits on: September 29, 2021, 03:20:25 PM
As we know merit doesn't deserve the rank or user. Merit deserves only the post we have been creating. So I want to add 'contributor' after the Legendary. This means all Legendary hasn't been receiving merit, we might say Legendary contributors have been receiving merits more than lower rank comparatively. Yea, OP already mentioned the reason. Legendaries are more experienced and they help others quite faster than lowers ranks in the right way. It's a natural procedure of merit circulation. So at the end of the day, good contributors will receive merit based on their contributions. We shouldn't blame for that, rather than it will be wiser to inspire ourselves from them to contribute to the forum.

Nice explanation by the way.
2888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Entering the trading market on: September 29, 2021, 03:06:17 PM
If you read a few threads from the trading discussion board you will get a few ideas about trading before entering the trading market. So first of all you have to avoid laziness before entering the trading market. Otherwise, you can't learn anything. Trading isn't soo easy that you are wondering. Before entering on the trading learn more ad much as you can. A lot of things are related to trading. Prepare yourself for loss at the beginning. Because you can't expect profit before learn. So you must start with a small amount to avoid a big loss. Once you think you already gain enough knowledge about trading then start with big funds. Spend time to learn. And there is no alternative of patience on the trading.
2889  Economy / Reputation / Re: My bitcointalk account got misused by my friend on: September 29, 2021, 02:47:32 PM
Great story. There is no any way to prove either your account was sold, hacked, or changed ownership. Changing IP, email and password doesn't mean the account changed ownership. Even the admin couldn't prove it. Admin only can provide evidence-based on your IP address. So you are just wasting your time here. All abusers would say the same thing after getting the red tag. It doesn't mean all they are true.

Even we don't either promote or run all fake teams project yourself. Now you are just trying to turn your account fresh by blaming your friends. Nice try, but only they could remove feedbacks those have left. But I don't think they will remove based on this post.

2890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to mine bitcoin using Volcanic energy on: September 29, 2021, 02:14:57 PM
I will say, El Salvador is in the right direction. It's was a matter of concern mining Bitcoin due to the use of energy. But if we can use natural energy for that, then I think the concern is over in case El Salvador succeeds in mine bitcoin using volcanic energy. I am wondering El Salvador getting an advantage by banning Bitcoin mining in China and also using natural energy. After few days we might hear all mining industries banned from China moving into El Salvador or where generating energy from nature like El Salvador. Those who talked negatively about Bitcoin mining, most likely their mouth will shut up in El Salvador succeed. Let's think positive, and ignore negative.
2891  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: ERMAC - Cerberus 2.0 and more on: September 28, 2021, 06:11:46 PM
Often I received spam mail about free Bitcoin or something like this free offer. It's required to click on the link and it's quite suspicious links. So I never bothered to click this kind of link because of malware fear. Usually, I don't install unnecessary apps on my device if I am not well familiar with that apps. Because most attackers use apps and spam mail to hack our devices. So we need to control our greed once find a greedy offer.

Thanks OP, for sharing it with the community. It's a lesson for us, not only for newbies.
2892  Economy / Scam Accusations / Alpha Incomes cloud mining Ponzi Scheme. on: September 28, 2021, 01:50:13 PM
Website:
Code:
www.alpha-incomes.com
Archived: https://archive.is/VezTh
What happened: So-called cloud mining Ponzi Scheme.

As we already know all high return cloud mining is just a scam. Today I discovered this site called Alpha Incomes offering a high return on investment by purchasing a mining plan. I am wondering even a real miner can't earn this high amount within a day. They are offering 12% per day which is ridiculous.

Anyway, guys stay away from this kind of scam. Don't believe in cloud mining.
2893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: online course for trading on: September 27, 2021, 06:50:21 PM
Does really work online course for trading? I am just curious to know are you talking to learn how to trade on the exchange? I mean the procedure of the trading? Or are you talking about including everything like understand chart and analysis? If you are wondering only to learn how to trade then I don't think you should look for any online paid course. Just watch a few videos from YouTube that are making about trading. If you are looking for learning chart analysis, technical analysis, fundamental analysis and so on, then learn it practical. I don't believe any online course will help you to gain on the trading. The paid course would be just a waste of money.
2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold: Superiority on: September 27, 2021, 03:33:59 PM
You wouldn't get the honest opinion from here. Because it's Bitcointalk, not Goldtalk. So most users here are Bitcoin lovers and they will support Bitcoin for investment. Same like others I support Bitcoin investment as well. Investing in Gold looks like nonsense to me. I believe the future of Bitcoin holders is bright and we have seen it many times. So I am not encouraged to invest in gold which wouldn't give you much profit for a long time hold.
2895  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help needed urgently on: September 27, 2021, 02:56:58 PM
@OP, please learn more about cryptocurrency and how it works. Due to the irreversible behavior of cryptocurrency, it's almost 99.99% impossible to recover the funds once its out from your wallet. Only if a legal authority could identify the scammer and arrest him, then there is a chance to get back your funds. But it's quite a complicated process for tracking cryptocurrency transactions.

So, yes you are going to being a scam for the second time. Who knows the same scammer in your contact? They will not agree to release the so-called recovered fund if you ask them to cut 10% from the recovered fund as they claimed. I am assuming you begin scammed due to your greedy nature. Now don't be a victim again for stupidity. You lost it forever. Just concentrate to earn in a legit way.
2896  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: elon-charity.info | Bitcoin doubler scam. on: September 27, 2021, 04:45:08 AM
Guys just now discovered another website of fake Elon giveaway. In the morning have been reading a few Telegram groups messages and found a scammer spreading these links there. Tried to search on the scam accusation if the link exist but nothing was found. So wondered to share the link to warn newbies. Same as always scammer using the same script by changing the domain name. Stay away from scammers. Here is the link, don't try it.

2897  Other / Beginners & Help / Two strong policies to save your being scam on: September 26, 2021, 06:22:52 PM
For newbies,
As the title said, and already discussed many times on the forum how to prevent scams. Here is two strong policy that would prevent you being a scam.

1. Nothing is free in the world, so don't expect anything for free.

2. There is no such money-making machine that would multiply your assets within a day or month.

Hope you all get the point of what I want to say. Just keep in mind that two policies would save you from a lot of scams.
2898  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Alert for Bounty Hunters in This Forum on: September 26, 2021, 06:11:46 PM
So scammer posting with your profile on their page that you won bonus? It's ridiculous though I have seen this scam attempt for the first time LOL. Scammers are always looking for new scam technics. Posting on is Facebook page means nothing. Just avoid to reply them, it will not hurt you posting on their Facebook page. Thousands of users doing bounty campaigns and it's quite easier to find out who are cryptocurrency users from the bounty spreadsheet. Just keep in mind, nothing is free in the world and there is no such money-making machine that would multiply your money within minutes.
2899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Judgment basis of bear market on: September 26, 2021, 03:09:33 PM
How does your holding become less and less? Just a few days back almost all altcoins including Bitcoin was in a bull trend. Wasn't your fund recovered? If you are a long holder then shouldn't be worried since you haven't sold holding during a bull. But if you are a trader then should sell at a targeted price. However, the overall market seems in bear mode. Bitcoin movement is unpredictable always, so the overall market depends on the Bitcoin move. I am expecting more dump to be honest due to various reasons. And there is the smell of bear that I am realizing from the Bitcoin movement.
2900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Twitter can make impact in the BTC world? on: September 26, 2021, 02:48:56 PM
It was expected so far since Jack Dorsey is a Bitcoin fan. I don't think the effect of Bitcoin tips on Twitter will impact much on Bitcoin price. And we have already seen that there is no impact, rather than Bitcoin dumping more. However, dumping isn't related to Twitter itself, it's just the normal behavior of Bitcoin. Tips aren't enabled for all the country and are limited to only a few locations. That's the reason why not much impact on the Bitcoin price. But definitely, it's a strong Bitcoin adaption and it will introduce Bitcoin to more people. I will happier if Twitter allow their user to use Bitcoin during running ads. That would be more adaption.
