I was very surprised to see such big Iceland win against France yesterday. France were heavy favorites before the game, but they had no chance and lost 21:29.
Impressive end in Russia - Poland game. Poland scored goal with few seconds remaining and took a minimal lead. But Russia responded with buzzer-beater goal from middle of court and game ended 29:29. And no, Poland didn't played without goalkeeper on final Russia attack.
Now very interesting game between Spain and Norway started.
2882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 21/22 - discussion thread on: January 23, 2022, 06:39:41 PM
Ajax played better than PSV in the match and they were able to win the match 2-1. They have attacked more than PSV. With 3 points in this match, Ajax is now 2 points ahead of PSV. Ajax managed to reach the top of the table. I believe Ajax can win the title this season if key players will not be injured. Their team is consistent enough. Ajax will be the champions this season without any accidents.
Ajax were slightly better today, but now they don't dominate so much like in first half of season. Ajax is still good, but their lead against PSV now is just 2 points. I agree that Ajax is favorites, but everything can happen because PSV also don't look bad.
In other game, Feyenoord didn't had problems against Nijmegen and won 4:1 and they're still keep close to the top.
2883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 23, 2022, 06:31:57 PM
Didn't watched Real game, but from stats it looks Real dominated game, but Elche scored 2 goals which don't reflect game and parked a bus. BTW, coincidence or no, but Real this season dropping points only against bottom table teams, they don't have problems against direct competitors.
why did you back Valencia today my dude?  Cheesy  they always choke against Atletico, last time they beat them was eons ago... they were close to the win, but they did a Leicestah lol

btw, i was the only one who predicted the Cadiz win earlier,, it was such a rare event it seems that the superbru system still hasn't awarded me the 1.5 pts lol at least that's how it looks on my end
Yeah, Valencia really did Leicester yesterday Cheesy. Impressive comeback from Atletico. It's great round for them, considering that both Real and Sevilla dropped points, but they're still so far away.
And Superbru still didn't awarded you points for Cadiz win Cheesy.

I feel like it was not "political" but also a bit political. I feel like it was more about "if we let him come, then how could we tell no to others?" type of situation. Yes, he could have went there and had an exception and he could have played and maybe even win, and he is taken out of that contention because of legality and that is why I would say it was definitely political, after all it is the politicians that decide this.

However, I also give them pass for this one case since it also means that if they let him come, then ordinary people who will not be playing tennis professionally will say "if djokovic can come, why can't I?" and that becomes even a bigger problem. Racers, drivers, team members, everyone needs to be vaccinated in order to go there, that should happen, OR nobody should be asked, it is either that or the other, you can't just let some in and keep some out, that's unfair.
You have good point. Probably this story have no solution where everyone would be happy. It's crazy how this Covid stuff divided our society into two sides.

I also saw today that the track in Australia got a rework. Australia was not a very exciting track in the past in my opinion (still better than Monaco though lol), so let's see if the modification makes it more interesting to watch and to drive. They posted a teaser video today and in about 3 days they are posting a video of a full lap on the new modified course. This also means that Michael Schumachers lap record for the old layout will never be broken.
Wasn't track were already ready to use for 2021 season? I think they made this in 2020, I doubt that all this work took so long to be done. Australia wasn't most exciting track, but also wasn't very bad, it will be interesting to see modified track in action.
2885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which esports you place bets on: January 21, 2022, 09:31:53 PM
I'm old fashioned person, I don't bet on any esports. I don't follow esports and I have no idea about it, it would be a bit stupid for me to bet on it. Everyone have different preferences, but for me it's just not interesting to watch how other people playing all these games. Some will say that's almost same like watching how others are playing football, basketball or any other sport, but for me it's not same.

Gambling on esports seems like some weird thing you'd see in a movie about the future.  It's crazy to think about how big this business has become.  I'm even seeing on NFL games now they have weird replays where the people are generated animations like out of a video game.  It seems this is the direction the world is going.
I think recently there was NFL broadcast on Nickelodeon with various kind of animations included. It's done to attract younger audience to real, not virtual sport, what isn't easy task now. Crazy stuff:

The real last 30 days trend doesn't resemble anything like that:

I think it's taken from Freebitco.in. I can see such chart on their website on Premium section. But I have no idea from where Freebitco.in took these prices. This chart looks weird, it's least what I can say.
2887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 21, 2022, 12:11:26 AM
As much as I hate to say, Barca deserved to lose today, Athletic were better. We barely created something dangerous in this game. It's very disappointing lose because Copa del Rey was only tournament this season for us where we were able to achieve something.
But most sad thing is Fati and Pedri injuries. Not agains, these players are made from glass. And I'm amazed about Dani Alves physical condition. He definitely don't look like 38 year old grandpa.
2888  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Expresscrypto Help!! on: January 20, 2022, 11:51:36 PM
It definitely looks like exit scam. Ok, they gave 10 days to fill form, probably only smart part of users will fill form if they will remember their user ID. But how they're going pay out funds if they don't have any data? I can put some random ID and tell that I had $100 on my ballance. How they will know that user really had that money on his account? These things don't make much sense.
Filling form is only option left, but there isn't much hope left. Well, but you don't have more to lose than you already lost.
2889  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Have you ordered your free Covid tests yet? on: January 20, 2022, 11:28:31 PM
In the US the PCR test is ~$100 if you're paying out of pocket and in some places there are backlogs. Antigen test was like $5 even before the "free" thing.

I think PCR test costs about $80 in my country if you do it in private clinic. But offcourse you can get tested for free if you feel symptoms and sign up on hot line.

As I understand, even if you test positive using one of these tests (if you are asymptomatic) there's a 97% chance that it is a false positive.
I heard that rapid antigen test isn't very accurate, but definitely not 97%. I got tested at work with antigen test and it was positive. Then I went to make PCR test and it was positive too, despite that my case was asymptomatic.
But in general I think that giving these free testest for everyone is waste of money and there is many ways to spent it better.

We have an update for the 1st race of the season.

As you may know, we will race in Australia and it will be required a vaccine to be able to go there (Djokovic case).

Now I don't know if we have any Novax drivers but if we have he will be not able to race the 1st race of the season.

The vaccine is a must in Australia it doesn't matter if you had covid in recent times.
I'll correct you , Australia will be round 3, season will start in Bahrain and 2nd round in Saudi Arabia.
Whole Djokovic story is embarrassing and IMO decision not to let him play is political, considering that he had Covid recently and was eligible for exception.
I don't know whether all F1 drivers are vaccinated or not. If someone isn't, probably he will be replaced by reserve driver. But considering that more countries enforcing mandatory vaccination, probably drivers will have no other choice than take vaccine.
2891  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Have you ordered your free Covid tests yet? on: January 19, 2022, 11:27:01 PM
I'm not from USA, so, I'm not eligible to get it. In my country only children who go to school get free tests every week which can be done at home.
If I would get chance to get such free tests, I wouldn't order it. If I feel well, why I would need to make test. If I would feel symptoms, I probably simply would sign up to make PCR test.

I don't think home test results are accepted for foreign travel or school/employment purposes where required, etc - for obvious reasons. Home tests are for your own use, e.g. if you had a contact with a person sick with COVID and want to test yourself before visiting your elderly relatives or going to work.
As I understand, it's rapid antigen tests. Even if you test positive with it, you still will have to make PCR test that your disease would be confirmed offcially. I think antigen tests isn't accepted for traveling, school or work and it's not very accurate.
2892  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ARE WE SEEING COVID-19 BEEN DEFEATED/BEATEN THIS YEAR ?! on: January 19, 2022, 11:18:03 PM
Interesting news from UK, they removing most of Covid restrictions:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jan/19/removal-of-covid-rules-in-uk-risks-premature-signal-of-victory
No more requirement to wear masks, no vaccine passports, no more work from home. And most interesting thing that from March people who got infected won't be required to isolate.
Interesting, when other countries is going to follow UK path.
2893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HANDBALL EHF EURO 2022 Discussion thread on: January 19, 2022, 11:10:21 PM
To summarize things which happened in group stage, probably only surprise that Slovenia got eliminated. In last EURO they achieved 4th place.
Now teams split in 2 groups with 6 teams and only 2 will go to semifinals.

Measures are really funny this time around, when the ball gets out of the play to the stands it is immediately removed from the play and disinfected. On the other hand players are at the hotels mixed with tourists who don't care about masks and measures. Crazy world we live in Smiley
Indeed, crazy world. Team which will have least covid cases probably will win Cheesy.
Still bettter than Hockey junior World championship. Whole tournament got canceled because maybe 4 players of 3 teams got infected. And st the same time it was allowed to held wedding party in same hotel.
2894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 19, 2022, 10:55:17 PM
Indeed, crazy ending in Leicester - Spurs game. It looked like it took maybe 30 seconds for Bergwijn to score 2 goals, but officially he scored on 95th and 97th minute.
Finally I got yellow cap. I think it's my first yellow cap since Sportsbet started to give free bets to it's winners. Up by 7 places and I'm getting closer to top 20. And just 29 points behind 1st place lol.
2895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: January 18, 2022, 11:55:07 PM
Damn, AFCON continue to amaze me every day. Good that I don't bet much on it. Yeah, maybe our knowledge about African football isn't amazing, but I think that anyon who have some common sense would predict Comoros beating Ghana
I can't imagine score from Wednesday game which would surprise me after all these things. Ok, maybe I would raise an eybrow if Sudan will beat Egypt 4:0 or 5:0.
So many unexpected outcomes
4 games in Round 3 and only 2 out of 16 participants in the pool somehow managed to get some points... i have never seen such poor performance in any of the pools in this board 😂😂🤣
I think our performance wouldn't be so bad even if we would participate in rugby or cricket pools Cheesy.

Oh that sounds really stressful.
I don't understand why Russia is so defensive about crypto now. There are enough other problems right now.
And in the end, Putin could make great use of crypto for himself.
Why a forum is blocked is even more of a mystery to me.
Free expression of opinion should not be a problem in any country.  Undecided
I think they started to block crypto casinos not because they're against crypto. It's just simple regulations. These casinos isn't registered in Russia, they don't have license to work there and they're not paying taxes there.
And forum isn't blocked because of censorship. Here reason why they blocked Bitcointalk:

2897  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ARE WE SEEING COVID-19 BEEN DEFEATED/BEATEN THIS YEAR ?! on: January 17, 2022, 11:33:26 PM
don't forget to add that people have to vaccinate, all people need to vaccinate to avoid ending up in the hospital and dying, this disease is not something people are kidding about, they need to continue to wear a mask and comply with social distancing. this is the new normal that will be for years to come. I still can't understand why there are people who think this year will end covid
Vaccinated people still end up in the hospital and die. Vaccinated people still need to wear masks and comply with social distancing. Personally, I'm not ready to accept such new normal and these thing never will be normal for me.
Don't agree that all people need to get vaccinated. With dominating omicron variant, it's not that dangerous, even for not vaccinated people. I read articles that that it can begining of end of pandemic, but in general, covid won't be gone soon, but it may be considered as common flu.

Basically all these new referalls are only curious with how the site works so probably most will claim it for few hours then stop right after they do the math and find out that they are only getting few cents every hour even if you offer to give all of your commission back. Some probably will stay for couple of days or longer period of time but most of these people are not going to go back lol

Free claim (faucet) was a thing back then, its no longer is right now
Well, it was pretty much same always with referrals. Very few of them stay active for longer time. Most stop to use faucet after few days, in better cases for few weeks.
If someone came to Freebitco.in just for faucet now, imagine how much time it would take to reach 30 000 Satoshi to withdraw it by claiming 5 Satoshi/hour in average. They would have to claim from faucets somewhere 6000 times!
2899  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPay is slowly dying? on: January 16, 2022, 09:48:06 PM
I went on a mini rant here about some things: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5380215.msg58988849#msg58988849

But I really don't think it's because of BitPays advertising. It's because it allows merchants to take BTC and a few of the larger alts if they want and convert it into fiat in a quick and simple way. At the moment just about every business person is stressed to the max and they don't want to play around with exchanging BTC to fiat or anything else. They want to get paid and move on to the next thing they have to do. Yeah, BTCPay is great but if you don't have the time to convert to fiat and it's Friday and your staff wants to get paid and so on do you really want to deal with that.

I actually see that with a merchant I use (namesilo.com). They take BTC direct and BitPay for BTC and some alts. The BTC rate was better for me as the customer if I use the BitPay option then direct. I am guessing that the BitPay fee was less then corporate figured the cost of doing it themselves was.

-Dave
Converting crypto to fiat in easy way for merchants is very important thing, especially considering how unstable markets sometimes can be. Also, accepting altcoins is needed too, but not just BitPay have it. Most of centralised gateways have, for example Coinbase, Coingate or Coinpayments. But it feels that BitPay is first pick for most bussines.
I think that one of disadvantages of BTCPayServer is that you need to run a node to use it. It's not something difficult or expensive, but it's extra stuff for bussiness and they don't bother to do it, especially if crypto payment option isn't very popular on their store.

Did anyone watched Real Betis - Sevilla game in Copa del Rey? It was great game to watch, but shortly after Fekir scored amazing goal directly from corner kick, someone from stands throw metal pole and it hit Joan Jordan head. Fortunately, it didn't injured player seriously, buit it was brutal andstupid thing. Game was interrupted and discontinued after it. It's unclear what decision about this game will be made.
