2881  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Got my JALAPENO today mining at 5.9 Gh/s with some tweaks on: June 01, 2013, 12:18:44 PM
Skeptical post is skeptical.

A bunch of people have received Jalapenos now.

35 on this list: http://bfl.ptz.ro/

First two days of Jalapeno orders filled.  Almost a year to go.
How long did it take to fill out 2 days of Jalepenos?

Should I start counting from April 1st or May 1st?

60 days to fulfill 2 days worth of partial orders....yikes.

3. Flip fan around so that it is blowing down
Wait, so the fan was originally pulling air through the heatsink? BFL engineering excellence right there. Cool
I also found that strange.

By the way, did he pay for 7 Gh/s?

If not, then people may very well get more than 5 for free....why pay more for the upgrade?
2883  Economy / Services / Re: B-BOT: New MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: June 01, 2013, 02:24:28 AM
I have a question:

What are the upgrades going to cost on average?
2884  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 01, 2013, 01:09:17 AM
This is a low blow from the company, how can anyone get away with that? Josh is obviously thinking with his knee instead of his head!

Somehow this reminded me of the funniest episode ever of Whose Line is it Anyway.

Wow .. your intellect comes through in that clip... thanks for sharing. You didn't even make anything up you just copied and pasted. You must be proud.

Let me say .. well done sir you have won me over.

You are not here to be impressed. You are here to impress him.

Hands on your ankles!

PL .. I know its hard to see .. but they are actually holding hands. I am sure through your "filters" of constantly getting it in the ass you would see it in another way. I understand.

I worry not, everytime I turn to my left, you are there with me. haha
2885  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC STATUS 5/29 on: May 31, 2013, 12:30:31 AM
Jesus.  I know 50GH/s is a lot, but I never ran the numbers before.  Does that really mean Avalon owners are pulling in $10k/month at current conditions?
Only if you are smart on how, when and where you mine.

It's safe to say that most Avalon owners are well into 5 figures. They should be into 6 figures by...a while from now.
2886  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC STATUS 5/29 on: May 31, 2013, 12:27:57 AM
crazy temps I see Cheesy this board die very soon

Since when is 76C crazy?

I run my GPU's at that all the time mining for years.
I'm sure AMD/Nvidia use a higher quality process.
Proof?

Seriously? BFL does not even know what QA stands for! Their track record of failures speaks for itself.

You really wanna compare AMD and Nvidia with them BFL cowboys?
Thats like comparing a multi-billion dollar...NASA engineered hardware with something some guy made in his garage with duct tape. If the wind blows, it will fall over immediately and explode.

2888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bridging the MTGOX to BTC-e divide. (Using Ripple) on: May 30, 2013, 04:43:19 PM
I have been reading up on ripple and while I still don't understand all the details. Is there a method to bridge the divide between BTC-e and MTGOX?

I can sell my $$$ for BTC at the lower rate at BTC-e Exchange.

I can then transfer those BTC to MTGox pretty easily. Selling the BTC for a higher USD value on MTGOX is incredibly easy as there is almost always a 10 dollar difference between the two exchanges.

But how would I go about using Ripple to Transfer those Dollars back to BTC-e without going through OkPay or any of the other standard services? I understand I'd need a gateway....but is there anyone who can give me an idea as to how to bridge this divide between the two exchanges by using the Ripple system?
2889  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: FastCash4Bitcoins (Update:all funds options available) on: May 30, 2013, 04:34:04 PM
Do you give bitcoins for paypal if we can prove we own the paypal account?

Simple answer is no.  There is no level of proof that could provide which would protect us from PayPal arbitrary chargeback rules.

As indicated above this thread deals with fastcash4bitcoins website.  Tangible Cryptography does offer "bulk" sales to sophisticated large buyers via our Bitcoins Direct service.  The minimum purchase is $1,000 and all sales are prefunded by Bank Wire only.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=87094.0

You mean as long as we buy more than 1000 dollars of Bitcoins you will give a better rate? Or do you mean a "bulk service" wherein we exchange BitCoins for USD? (1,000 minimum?)
2890  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: FastCash4Bitcoins (Update: PayPal & Check funds added) on: May 30, 2013, 03:24:05 PM
Hey are you guys planning on offering a moneypak option?

No Greendot "asked" us not to offer that as  a payment method.  Only authorized GreenDot agents can sell MoneyPaks.
Any plans to offer USPS money orders? (It would basically be the same thing as the Check Option)

Very, VERY interesting statements by Yifu at 1 min. There is so much we don't know about what went on in Avalon Team development cycles.

Someone send Yifu a Jally to see if they really are 65nm....

If they are going to go with one of those designs they might as well use a metal chassis instead.

2895  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [No Longer Needed] Partner for KnCMiner Mars first batch on: May 29, 2013, 10:40:25 PM
How does that order queue work?

If you buy a Mars unit then you can swap it out for a Jupiter unit before shipments begin?

That's my understanding, but it's not entirely clear.

It seems they will give you a $2,000 voucher for the Jupiter unit and save your place in the queue if you order a Mars -- which will be the first unit to ship.

From the website:

Quote
*Upgrade protection built in to any purchase with vouchers for up to $2000 off of any Jupiter purchase.
*Last but not least, any purchase of the Mars product automatically reserves you the same place in the order queue for 30 days against the Jupiter product.

https://www.kncminer.com/products/mars
I haven't honestly followed KNC miner. I so far understand that their Mars unit is a 4 PCB FPGA-based unit, correct?

If so, how fast is it? (in Gh/s)

Did the Prototype actually reach the expected rated speed?

(Who's Chips are they using? Avalons? Or their own custom [ASIC] chips?)

Folks, Relax!

Don't feed the trolls. They are just trying to turn the thread page (56) so fewer people read what has recently transpired. If you really want to get the trolls goat. Delete your old original post and repost it after they are done with "the page turning techniques".

Doing so defeats their general purpose for being present and spamming.

Paypal Funds are dry again.

From what State (or Country) are the Company Checks mailed from?
2899  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: President of Walletbit confirms Avalon does not ship fairly on: May 27, 2013, 07:44:37 PM

Second, pardon me, but your conclusion that Avalon is "ignoring" wallet bit sounds like it isn't supported in your emails. As far as I have read, Wallet bit only comes to a generalized conclusion out of thin air. They don't even make any remark in the email of trying to contact Avalon.

They only "suppose" they [Avalon] may be shipping out of order.

This is why I asked you for your email correspondence. Since your conclusion seems like a forced one. I think it is only fair to say that Avalon is shipping units with some unknown pattern. But to extend that and also say they Ignored WalletBit (The Payment Processors emails) is disingenuous and probably overreaching as a conclusion.

Walletbit knows the payment order and can easily verify that to date, those who have paid first are not those who have received their machines.

You yourself say that "Avalon is shipping units with some unknown pattern". That is going back on their promise to their customers and, under a pretty universal definition, an unfair way to distribute their product. Ergo, "President of Walletbit confirms Avalon does not ship fairly".
It is an over extension of logic.

The guy only concretely says we can confirm your order and here is an email to confirm your payment. The President of Walletbit doesn't confirm anything beyond that.

He just offhandedly says if they aren't shipping yours first, then we apologize for that. (that means he didn't actually ask anyone at Avalon)

Ergo, no real confirmation just supposition.

Don't believe me? Email him and ask him directly point blank to say that explicitly. Then, you have made that point. Otherwise, he is going on whatever you are telling him. There is no sign he ever even attempted to contact Avalon.

He's just looking at your transaction and saying "if you say so, it is probably so...sorry about that if that is the case".

You know, I'd make a total ton of money if I simply bet that BFL will not ship more than X number of units on <insert specific day>.

Unfortunately, I cannot gamble. But it would be pretty funny nonetheless.
