2881  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Mysterious instant drop? on: January 10, 2019, 10:50:58 PM

What caused this? How can the price be so volatile? Who is behind the market for real?

bitcoin is simply just an act manipulated by few big whales out of that these types of pump and dumps or stairs appear.
2882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most cryptocoins took a big drop in value today. on: January 10, 2019, 06:05:32 PM

there is no such thing as "too big to drop" in pow crypto
2883  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I miss the Soviet Union. on: January 10, 2019, 04:03:02 PM

I miss the Soviet Union. I never visited the country during its 72 years of existence, and I didn’t much like what I read about it in late-Cold War newspapers and library copies of Soviet Life: the long queues for bread, the military parades presided over by impassive bemedaled field marshals, the kitschy tributes to dictators, the Olympians inflated by performance-enhancing drugs. Communism, with its denial of both God and the individual, never appealed to me as a way of life, and I doubt it was much good for the Russian worker, the Polish worker, the East German worker, or the Yugoslavian worker.

Communism was, however, fantastic for the American worker. It’s no coincidence that the golden age of American equality, that period from the 1940s to the 1970s when the gap between CEOs and employees hit its all-time low, was almost exactly coterminous with the Cold War. As any capitalist will tell you, competition is good for the marketplace. It forces businesses to create better products and more efficient services for consumers. The same is true for capitalism itself: as a means of raising the living standards of an entire society, it never functioned better than when it was forced to compete with a rival economic system. [...]

An economy without a marketplace will produce only the bare minimum necessary for survival. But capitalism, in its rawest form, leads to the same result. Unless tempered by unionization or a social welfare state, the iron law of wages reduces the majority of workers to a subsistence level, while creating vast wealth for a tiny ownership class. Ronald Reagan advanced a false dichotomy between Communism and capitalism that is still with us, 25 years after his presidency ended. It’s true, as Louise Bryant said in “Reds,” that Communism would never have worked in the United States — but capitalism isn’t working as well without it.

You miss Soviet Union because you obviously never lived under under totalitarian regime. If you want to check it out, go try live in Venezuela,Cuba or North Korea.

Regarding american workers and period of prosperity,it has nothing to do with Soviet Union.Decline for US workers started with development of China.

well the west is also a totalitarian regime if you dont want to join being money earning of the banking cartels there.

jes run around like the witness jehovas, and tell everyone to earn the bitcoins of the miners,

whoever is doing that for free is an idiot.
2885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STO, is the future. This guide explains step by step how to launch an STO. on: January 10, 2019, 01:31:49 PM
I am not sure about this, it seems that it is not much different, it just seems safer because there is a change in the word "SECURITY". Actually there is nothing wrong with ICOs, the wrong thing is that developers and teams are mostly irresponsible and build a careless product.

or investors have broken expecations
2886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption: Don't just sit down, do something on: January 10, 2019, 01:23:26 PM
Why would people throw negative comments against this act in promoting cryptocurrency to the masses. It’s hard to please everyone and doing the right thing for them only triggered they’re jealousy and ego. If I have the chance to spend bitcoin minimally in this kind of service within my country then I would love to.

Small acts will make a big difference if the community will support it.

mindset has changed, from pro pow, anti banks, towards anti pow, and anti banks
2887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There will be no "Development" of the Cryptoindustry for now, here is why: on: January 10, 2019, 01:20:25 PM
PoS coins have a zero cost of creation support value. the price is speculative of how pumped/promoted it is.

PoW coins have a cost of creation that gives it an underlying support. this has always been known factor even from th first year of bitcoin.

as for wanting to build your own 'crypto index' well thats just making a business that takes commission from getting people to buy/bet on a basket/group of altcoin..... nothing special there

no one actually cares about a crypto index. just like actual smart people dont care about 'market cap' as both things are essentially meaningless numbers.

if you were to make some revolutionary real world impacting exchange. here is an idea.
an exchange that does not measure coins in FIAT. but instead measures coins in 'minimum wage'/cost of living.

imagine it this way:
the fiat method. 1btc costs an american under 550 minimum labour hours to afford but somewhere like Afghanistan is like 8000 hours

the MW method. a coin is on the market at 550 MW. which an american can buy for the same 'value' but now the guy in the middle east only needs to work 550 hours to get 1btc.

the impact would be that americans would forex their dollars to buy afghanis so that the $->afs can buy them many btc. and cause the forex rate of usd/afs to swing where it brings middle easterners exchange rate up (due to forex arbitrage) to be more closer to 1:1 rather than 1:15

POS will be the future. all still care about the ranking in that scammy index

2889  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: January 10, 2019, 02:30:47 AM
evolution is a potentially interpretable timeline, a great theory for people that fear gods and want to be free of them, and not being in a situation of having to fear, them, that would be a good thing and almost like a present from gods.

because there were also cruel destructive gods, and there might be a situation people would wish for that.

2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Max Keiser Says Bitcoin Will Become the World’s Reserve Currency on: January 10, 2019, 12:39:31 AM
Max Keiser, host of his financial program Keiser Report stated that Bitcoin has the potential to have a major role in the modern global financial world due to its fundamental value.

On New Year’s Day with Keiser Report, it was pointed out that Germany is currently working on an alternative to the current system Swift, which is the global financial payment network based out of Belgium, but was said that United States is the leader in the network.

“A replacement to that [SWIFT] begins the end of the US Dollar hegemony. Bitcoin also emerged in 2009, and that is starting to take over and get bigger despite de price crash… The prices are down … But in terms of where Bitcoin is going, you and I have been involved with this space since 2011, we’ve seen it crash 94% in 2011, and it crashed something like 88 to 91% in 2013, 2014, 2015… So we’ve seen a few of these crashes, but what I do know from experience … In the past, during these previous crashes, a lot of building took place during that time, robust companies were built. They were no longer distracted, engineers are not distracted by price increases of 10, 20 or 30% a week”

2895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There will be no "Development" of the Cryptoindustry for now, here is why: on: January 10, 2019, 12:36:15 AM
Bitcoin built a lot of infrastructure for bitcoin users and funded every "cryptocurrency"

Bitcoin appears tired of funding crappy cryptocurrency projects and huge scammers for a long time.

People have separate visions of what this "industry" will become and usually don't realize it needs to be in the best interest of everybody. Bitcoin being able to store wealth rather than fund crappy projects will be a nice change this year.

The 2nd and 3rd layer solutions for bitcoin to send payments are actually going to happen in 5 - 10 years... this is all funded by bitcoin.

All of these "other things" people want to try and sell, need to get used to hearing no for awhile. We need decentralized digital money rather than using gold to store value. Then we'll need a stable smart contract  solution -- maybe with some rules on these tokens -- who knows how it plays out.

Shitcoins must die though.

uhm well i am pretty sure with this attitude, you are gonna see bitcoin vanish, you dont look very pioniering like, like it would be expected from someone that hacks the global financial system.

well we build a working financial system the pos way, or you will see bitcoin disappear like a gimmick these are the options.

it will be cleared after bitcoin dropped to next low support level, i assure you.

i am sure that your beloved bitcoin will soon enter the realm of being questioned itself.

uk media wants more funding against an information war against russia, that they themselves claim they can't win.

Over the past few weeks, almost all the news on major international media networks like Aljazeera and CNN concerning politics in Africa is all negative. If it is not about protestants demonstrating for the president of Sudan to step down, then there is also a delay in the announcement of a presidential elections in the DRC. So what is causing all these political unrest in Africa, is it the political leaders or the citizenry?

well i can tell you the future politicial situation in africa

Yeah... I am sure China has nothing to do with it at all.

chinese will also share that fate.

Im with stompix on this, i dont agree with damaging private property.
There will always be those who hang on to the end of a protest in
Order to cause damage for the fun or for self gain in the case of
looting.

I also understand that if your message through peaceful protest is
not going anywhere it can be frustrating and things can escalate
and one thing leads to another.

uhm well private property can be immaterial, that can be quite, a lot,

creation of bitcoin and doing an attention hack away from central banks could then also be considered damge to private property.

What were the reasons for the birth of the creation of this universe are still a mystery for the scientists as well as the so called firm believer of God .No one knows the exact planning of this creation .It is just the reasoned thinking we are calling ourselves athiests and thiests .The theory of nothingness is widely accepted by both the communities .It is just like that a seed came first or the tree because a tree is grown with the seed and the seed is grown from the fruit of the tree which came first is still not known and matter of the following which theory we like to follow.
Similar is the theory of athiests and thiests it is just a matter of the following which theory you like most.

atheists are like a training software, and bots, that test religious people on their meaning and integrity.
