2881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Need Terminology Between Satoshi and Bitcoin! on: January 20, 2021, 07:17:27 AM
I personally think these things will come in time as and if we need them. We already have some terminology for smaller amounts of BTC (such as satoshi or mBTC), but I have never used anything besides sats and BTC tbh.

As I am not using BTC on a daily basis for my daily txs, it's way harder to get used to other kinds of terminologies and you don't want to get them mixed up in your mind. For example, mBTC confuses me every time so I'd rather not use it.
In my opinion, this terminology is enough to convey the meaning and the amount that it denotes. Adding another terminologies will be confusing, as the quote above says about getting mixed up with other things. Why not just call it like how you count money, 100 thousand dollars or 1 thousand satoshi.
2882  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: accusation for using alts (2018) on: January 20, 2021, 05:44:09 AM
14 accounts yung naka connect daw sayo which is pretty damning evidence.

And I'm pretty sure alam mo naman siguro to, dahil andito kana ng 2017 palang.

Also not to mention na pwede ka naman gumamit ng P2P platforms para magbenta ng walang ID. Which is again, dapat siguro alam mo na by now.
Itong quote na to isa pa to sa dapat mong sagutin kasi hindi pepwedeng hindi mo alam kasi as mentioned matagal ka na sa forum and also bakit hindi ka nagtanong, wala namang masama kung itanong mo ang mga gusto mong malaman. Better to be a fool for awhile than being a fool for life.
2883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have a token I want to create to break into the adult industry markets. on: January 20, 2021, 04:58:44 AM
So you created your own cam girls site which will accepts only your tokens for tipping and models cash out. I like the idea but there are lot of projects launched with the same ideal and everything failed.

When we have bitcoin and we can buy the tokens or just can tip by the bitcoin itself why we need a separate token?
Not to mention, you will need a lot of money if you want your website to go big, there is a reason that camgirl websites get a cut from their performers, you need to consider maintenance, securing your website, server payment, website bandwidth is expensive because it will be a livestream. You wouldn't get far from donations if you considered that because people who use this kind of website will be the least charitable person. You also need to prove your worth the money for performers to migrate to your new platform because there is giants in this industry.
2884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 3 things to check before joining a crypto bookie (KYC, Provider, Reserve) on: January 20, 2021, 04:22:45 AM
I feel like the third requirement is almost impossible to look at unless you are a pure crypto bookie. This is where p2p is kind of the best in my opinion, since the market makers already stake their bankroll there and it is all smart contract or escrow funds, you win the bankroll, or they win your stake. Most casinos would be uncomfortable sharing it.
I think so too, this seems to be a private matter for me because AFAIK reserves are part of internal management of a website.

Adkinsbet is getting grilled for the controversies that they are facing right now, no matter what OP says about this checklist not being Adkinsbet, in my personal opinion, if you are used as an example be it good or bad, you deserved that position.
2885  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Alert] Impersoning Coolcryptovator on Telegram on: January 19, 2021, 06:46:21 AM
This scamer is begging on behalf of Coolcryptovator oh indeed this is very funny and asks a user who is active on BTT and they don't realize that Leviathan.007 is an exposer of scamers this is indeed funny what this scammer did. lol

This case often happens that I see some on behalf of Coolcryptovator, is there already caught in this seduction so that scamers continue to carry out terror asking for money from their victims?
This person behind this impersonation is definitely a mainstay in this forum too, the way that that person used a prominent person in the forum is an evidence in of itself. To me, this is not a simple act of just scamming people via impersonation, I think this is some type of defamation campaign against other members of this forum. Good thing that the impersonator messaged a scam buster and which means that whoever that person is, the scheme of impersonating members of the forum is already foiled. Good Job OP.
2886  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin flash mob? (My 20,000th post) on: January 19, 2021, 06:05:36 AM
Interesting! How are you even coordinating a flash mob on a global scale?
Yes, you might go and invite people to meet at a designated time and place, but this doesn't work well on a global scale due to different time zones. I doubt people would be interested in a flash mob at 5.00 a.m.  Wink
They can still do it even if they have the difference in time zones. What needs to be done is to have a manager for each country that is going to participate in this flash mob, they are also the one that has the job to coordinate, to solve the problem with time then put a schedule. They can do the performance and record the whole ordeal and send it to the ones that will edit the video.

I would love to help but unfortunately I have no experience with organizing events like this.
This one is a big event because the people you are coordinating with are from different country and you also have to rack in some participants which might not come at the time that was scheduled.
2887  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Chiyuto Double-Your-Money Investment Scheme on: January 19, 2021, 05:23:41 AM
2888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reinvest initial investment, or keep profits? on: January 19, 2021, 04:35:28 AM
I'm a big fan of diversification so I suggest investing in something else, something such as the traditional assets that have less volatility and only if you are familiar with what you do or can gain the knowledge before making the investment.
I have the same thing done with my investment, I am diversified although in collectibles and bitcoin, I hope to diversify it more because I am a lazy person and I want my money to work for me. When you say traditional assets, what do you mean by that because I too am taking this advice as well. Is it real estate, stocks and bonds, gold/precious metals or other stable cryptocurrencies?

To OP, my advice to you is to keep the profits because you deserve that and reinvest your initial capital to another investment while bitcoin is still running high, make sure that you can easily pull out from that temporary investment so you can get back to investing in bitcoin when the prices are dumping and also treat yourself a little, maybe buy some guilty pleasure food, go to a vacation, or do something that makes you feel good, hell even get some prostitutes, that is if you are single.
2889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this scam go on? on: January 19, 2021, 03:37:06 AM
Shitcoin/scamcoin from altcoin to token will continue exist because scammer is need the money for living and buy new some car  Lips sealed just hold bitcoin and you will be fine and Do your own research before investing in new coin because i see ton of them pop out everyday  Cry
As the quote above says, this scams of coin will continue to exist. The quote already said to do your research so that can help you in distinguishing bad from good and knowing whether the coin is a passion project or a quick cash grab. The only way I know that this will cease from existing at the very least is by not batting an eye when there is a new project launch, do not buy their coins in hopes that hodling will be profitable, like how you ignor when there is a clout chaser in social media.
2890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attention: Biden has officially won, make sure your sportsbook pay you. on: January 19, 2021, 02:18:24 AM

Betfair has mandatory KYC, right? So I don't think that there is any justification for the additional delay. How much time is it going to check whether fraud is involved or not? All the formalities, IMO should be completed in a week or two. And the $1.3 million bet which you had mentioned was an ordinary bet waged on Joe Biden. They don't really have an excuse to delay the payment.
If the KYC is mandatory then how come they still are holding the wins of the users in the first place. I do agree with you, fraud is out of the question for the users but to the site, it will raise some questions. That is why I said that they should issue some sort of dispute because I do believe too that there is no reason for delaying the payment.
2891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 19, 2021, 01:42:30 AM

If you are still a student and you haven't gambled for six years, I wonder how young you were when you started gambling!? Unless you started studying at an old age.
To clear the air around this, yes I was young when I started gambling. It was around 5th grade that I started although I was exposed to gambling ever since I was around 1st to 2nd grade circa. Back then, my town was full of people gambling on the streets so it is not that hard to notice that they are gambling. I am still around my 20s though so you could say that I am pretty young.
2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hamster powered races on: January 19, 2021, 01:03:30 AM
Well, cock fighting is common already and really involves fighting between roosters (as the name suggests). But unlike it, I think and I hope that in hamster race, no harm will be done to the animals. I mean, it's just a race so they'll just have to hurry to be the first in the finish line.
Cock fights seems to be more enjoyable when one of the fighters die in my experience, it gets the crowd fist pumping in the air for the smell of crimson saline liquid, I think the culture of cock fighting will not change. Hamster race will grow in popularity and your hope will be crushed sadly because as it grows, it means that there will be scummy people that will be trying to breed this racing hamsters like how a racing horse is eugenically bred, now while we were at it, almost all kinds of games that involves animals are subjected to eugenics.
2893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 19, 2021, 12:22:42 AM
Considering the experience, Tyson Fury has an advantage and having not tasting a single defeat seems to be evident of his performance, height advantage could mean that Fury also has a better reach than Joshua which is detrimental when the phase in the fight where they wear each other out through jabs. Weight on the other hand seems to favor Joshua in this case because I feel like having a lower weight means that you can move faster. Their style is the same so there isn't much comment about that one.
2894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No 2FA and robbed of 0.097BTC on: January 18, 2021, 06:40:05 AM
Another "not your keys not your coins" case.

I was having nightmares when I was keeping my coins on exchange. During that period, every night I had that fear "what if I am being robbed right now?" and I had all the precautions. 2FA, strong password etc. Being a holder is not easy task.
Good thing that my friends taught me this lesson a long time ago and that I listened to them even though I am a lazy person when it comes to this kind of things. How did it go for you now that you are hodling your coins? I can see that you are a little obsessed with your security online, you must have a lot of funds that makes you that which is understandable. After all, we are the only one that can protect our accounts online.
2895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 18, 2021, 05:50:50 AM
While this might be the case for many of us, there is definitely a group of people who like risk and uncertainty. If you don't look for it you go for a safe 9 to 5 job without any upside. Your salary is fixed and you won't make any big pay jumps. People in the finance industry work a lot based on bonuses, so their salary is uncertain too. Or people working in sales are paid by commissions. There is also a change your salary per month.
Although both gamblers and employees get uncertain income, at least employees don't have the risk of losing money or the worst possibility is that what they did doesn't get rewarded, so they will only experience a loss in time and energy. Whereas in gambling, apart from an uncertain income, every gambler will definitely face the risk of losing their money.
I think what you quoted refers to bonus or commissions on their work, of course having a stable job is different than a gambler in more ways than one and no, salary men have a certain income while gamblers don't have, your quote is referring to being a stagnant employee or not having any aspiration to be better. The proper word for it must be commissions because even if they do not get a sale, they still have an assured payment.
2896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Large capital advantage? on: January 18, 2021, 05:15:11 AM
You said it best, having a large capital makes you last longer on the table. It also depends though, if you are playing poker, you might want to go for a large capital because some rounds you might need a considerable sum of money, you might not want to fold because of pressure because your bet is dwarfed by the amount of chips the other players are left with. If slots, I do not think a capital will be necessary because you can get lucky at some spins and one spin does not cost that much.

You're right there's nothing wrong in using smurf accounts so it's most likely that they're the Newbee players and the organizers caught them using a vpn or they told the truth.

Before the ban was annouced publicly some pro players already noticed it but didn't call them out(thread).
Yooooo that's definitely a controversy apocalypse imminent, this fake team scandal will definitely be on Valve's watch. Pro players do not have the right to call out because they are not the authority, maybe pointing out who are the offender will be good enough, investigations should be done on this because this is a big scandal especially for SEA region.
2898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 18, 2021, 03:54:30 AM
I have a similar story. In the initial months of 2020, I was having a tremendous good luck. I was able to turn 0.001 btc into 0.025 btc on a single mine game then it followed with dice till I reached 0.18 btc. I paid back all my small loans and dues. I withdrew it and spent around 0.05 btc on purchasing somethings I wanted like a smartwatch, a nice TV and some good hoodies. I thought I would be able to save the other funds as well. But soon I gambled the rest of the funds, betting as high as 0.04 btc on a single dice bet! I slowly and completely got empty and got back to getting small loans. I'm just glad atleast I spent some amount on things I loved Cheesy

I just imagine if I had saved that entire 0.18 btc, at today's btc price, I would have like $5000! But alas, what can we do! You said you won like 0.7 btc which is around $21,000! Truly a regret!

The way I see it, is, never let cash around you roam freely in your access, spend on something you love, eat good, buy important stuffs, go for vacation, the more you start to spend money and get joy, the more you will be cautious of busting out money which you can't afford to lose!
Good for you that you got some value out of your gambling because most gamblers do not experience that, in a hindsight you could have quit while the going gets good but we do not know what will happen until it happens. Do not get yourself worked up on regretting your decision, you are not an oracle that knows the future. The good thing about this is that when people see your story, hopefully they won't make the same mistake.
2899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: January 18, 2021, 03:16:39 AM
Another SEA news, In Lower Division. Team Assault was disqualified because they're sharing their account during this tournament. And having that said, no confirmation from Valve if they're Team Newbee but I just read some people saying that it's the smurf accounts of Team Newbee which was already banned from Valve events.
https://twitter.com/wykrhm/status/1349622215126310914
What is the story behind this account sharing, I am pretty sure there is no rules about that, smurfing is bad but they are on a tournament so it does not affect their performance if they switch account. If this is Team Newbee though, this will be problematic for tournament organizers because they will have to raise their standards and create a new regulation regarding the banning matter, too bad Newbee got booted out indefinitely, I don't get why they do those 322 games, they have a lot of money but why stoop that low.
2900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 22bet fraud on: January 18, 2021, 02:36:07 AM
That's one shady gambling site, I don't know how you get yourself found them. And I do hope that they didn't scam huge amount on your end.

There's no way of getting back your btc, the best thing you can do is raise awareness from your experience to this community.
There have been complaints about this site and I think that OP was just unlucky to not stumble upon those reviews. I will never in a million years get this people scamming their customer when most amounts are around 1$ to 20$ or so, are they that scummy to stoop that low. It is unfortunate that OP is a victim, I hope that the amount is enough for OP to move on.

To OP, make a different thread with evidence on the Scam Accusations Board or you could migrate this thread to that board.
