2901  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: March 03, 2018, 04:43:49 AM
Bitcoin seems as the strongest currency with an outstanding exchange rate of $10k+ per coin but in reality, it's NOT because of the issue in its legalization. But as soon as bitcoin got legalized and become accepted worldwide then there's no doubt that it will surely lead the chart looking down to other currencies that once became an alpha in the market such as USD, GBP and EUR. Grin

Let's continue supporting btc and encourage the new ones to do the same way in order to increase the demand forcing the world to finalyy accept this.
2902  Economy / Economics / Re: Money vs Barter on: March 02, 2018, 05:41:23 PM
Our economy is now too complicated to continue implementing this type of trading. For me, disadvantages of barter seems very obvious since way back hundreds of years from now that's why mankind develop a better system for making transactions more convenient which is the use of money.

For example, if I want a bar of gold and you want some pieces of diamond assuming that money is not yet invented, how will you know that the said deal is fair and square?. Another one, let's go back to your example which is I'll cook dinner if you do the dishes" do you think this exchange of services is fair? Of course not, right? It's because cooking is a much tiring task where you need to gather all the ingredients, prepare them, and cook comparing to the second one where all you need to do is wash and rinse.

That's the problem of barter, it doesn't store a constant value unlike money.

Sir, feel free to check my recent posts and I hope you like it.

Thank you for this great opportunity to earn merit points. Smiley
2904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: helping in the growth of cryptoworld on: March 02, 2018, 12:27:08 PM
Though I'm not a popular and influential person, I still do believe that I can contribute something to the growth of crypto community in my own simple ways.

I actively open some discussions about bitcoin with my classmates and friends for them to get aware in this kind of new technology and trying to persuade them to become a bitcoin holder like us. Also, I always do my best in sharing the knowledge what I have, in giving some piece of advice and in inspiring the beginners not only here in the forum but outside world who aspire to become successful in this field.

The future of crypto community is in our hands so let us help each other. Smiley
2905  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 02, 2018, 08:25:24 AM
Both are advantageous in their own ways, if you don't have a capital for investing then just save your money but if can afford to invest then do so, it all depends on your preference.

But if you'll ask me, I'll go to the second option. I invest my money online (in bitcoin to be more specific). I choose bitcoin because that's more practical for a student like me:

1. It's easier to understand comparing to real estate or stock market.
2. Less hassle to use since a cryptocurrency uses digital wallet which you can easily visit comparing to going directly on ATMs or banks.
3. More accessible whenever and wherever you are, all you need is an internet connection.
4. Doesn't need to deal with so many paperworks since it is fully automated.
5. It is decentralized, therefore, not taxed at all . You can enjoy your profit without deductions (except the fees).

And the most important thing why I like btc is that I am able to earn profits easier by properly handling its fluctuations.
2906  Economy / Economics / Re: How to calculate profit on: March 01, 2018, 11:34:34 PM
What?! You will buy and sell at the same price? Are you serious? Doing so will cause you losses (due to fees) instead of profit.

If what you mean is that you buy lower than $10,400, assuming $10,000 then here's the solution (disregarding the presence of time), it's like a matter of proportionality.

Input/initial price = output/final price
$100/$10000 = X/$10400

X=$104

Profit = output - input
              $104 -$100
            = $4

You earned $4 within that certain period of time. Smiley Willing to be corrected if i'm wrong.
2907  Other / Meta / Re: Can i change my username here on BitcoinTalk forum? on: March 01, 2018, 10:36:38 PM
Yes! You can change but you need to become VIP member first by donating 50 btc here in the forum. Just a friendly advice, discontinue your plan of changing your username because it's not practical to spend a lot (50 btc is equal to 25M in Php) just to change your username. But if you insist then creating a new account is a better choice.
2908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL vs Day trading on: March 01, 2018, 10:24:42 PM
Actually, I really want to try day trading because I see that many traders earn faster there compare to other methods. But the problem is I'm hindered by lacking of requirements such as computer and bots; knowledge about it is not a primary concern since it can be learned.

For that reason, I remain hodling but it's okay, at least this is safer wayvto earn profit though a slower one.
2909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch out! Hacker on: March 01, 2018, 10:05:14 PM
I really wonder how Lazarus could be able to steal btcs through HaoBao (which is as far as i know is a Chinese restaurant franchising) campaigns. I don't see any correlation between crypto and a restaurant. Huh

Anyway, I'm not bothered in this news at all because according to what I've understand, you may only get victimized if you are engaged with that Haobao campaign. Since I'm not engaged with it, I always assure that nobody knows the passwords and usernames of my accounts, and avoid entering malicious websites with "free bitcoin" concept then I can confidently say that I'm secured. But I stay alert, because I'm not removing the fact that there's no 100% safe.
2910  Economy / Economics / Re: how can the beggars access Bitcoin? on: March 01, 2018, 03:23:08 PM
That is one of the problems I see if we successfully adapted the blockchain technology, the accessibility.

Let's assume that bitcoin aleeady replaced the use of fiat, there's no problem for the coin holder like me, computer literate and the young generation out there but this is not favorable in the case of the beggars, people of ethnic groups and residence of remote areas because it's very hard for them to access the Internet due to financial and topographical factors.

So based on the situation that you gave, I confidently say that there's no way for them to use crypto unless they will be able to have at least an android phone with internet connection. Sad
2911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you a full time trader or just part timer? on: March 01, 2018, 02:28:37 PM
I am still a student so I cannot be full time trader right now and I also do not have the capital to be a full time trader. Hopefully after a few years I could start earning more from trading Smiley
Me too, I'm still a student like you who is busy in school works.

Honestly, this is not the right time for me to become a full time trader because first of all, I am lack of capital for initial investment and second, my daily schedule is already hectic which means I don't have enough time to keep an eye to the price index of coins from time to time. So for now, what i do is just holding my coins and hoping to grow in the future.
2912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you investing in Bitcoin? on: March 01, 2018, 11:50:11 AM
Honestly, the reason why most of us invest in bitcoin is to earn profits from it and this is the sad truth. This is bad in a sense that we are now blinded by money but if you will analyze, we're not yet forgetting the true essence of btc because though the thing that motivates us is money, at least we still continue using it which also means that we like the idea of cryptocurrency. The more people patronizing crypto, the more chance for mass adaption and legalization; if that happens then our dream of changing the current monetary system into blockchain technology is now easier for becoming a reality.
2913  Other / Meta / Re: A good way to obtain merit points on: February 28, 2018, 11:46:43 PM
Being active here in the forum is nice but posting everywhere? I think that would be very hard because not all of the members here (even me) are as smart as nullius, though that's a great strategy to become popular here in the forum and earn merits easily.

For now, I still prefer to continue posting in the discussions that I am well familiar while I don't have enough knowledge on the others. Pushing one's self posting in unfamiliar threads might end to shitposting so for me this is not advisable.
I think merit should be calculated the same way activities are being calculated. Anyway, thank you for the information
Then what is the sense of building the merit system if it works the same way like activities do? (This seems that they're now the same right?) Please express your ideas clearer. Smiley
2914  Other / Meta / Re: Who the hell is "nullius" the guy is too smart around here :) on: February 28, 2018, 12:22:04 PM
Honestly, I'm still shocked at this very moment after looking at the history of his posts, I couldn't say anything but Wow! Shocked For me, that "nullius" is a genious in the field of cryptocurrency and there's no doubt about that.

I realized that he is not a typical quality poster because he's way more than that (maybe he's an expert), many of his posts came from threads about complicated discussions that even me can't easily understand. You may also notice that his posts are direct to the point and don't have flowery words yet very substantial and informative that's why it's not very shocking to know if he got plenty of merits, the thing that made me amazed is  knowing the fact that he received merits every single day based on the summary of his merits.

Actually, I don't care anymore whether he is an alt of a significant person here, or he is satoshi or whatsoever, much more important is the inspiration he bring into me. That person made me eager to seek for more knowledge because I want also to become like him someday.
2915  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: February 28, 2018, 12:20:13 AM
I get your point but still too early to give a conclusion like that, Merit System implemented just a few months from now so don't expect to see instant results. I understand if you think that rankings of all the members here in this forum seems stagnant because I already think that way but can't you see? This system provides solution against shitposting and for me that's great. Cheesy Instead of focusing to the bad side of this system, try to look what benefits it could bring to us. Also, don't feel agitated, just stay calm and strive hard to adapt this system.
2916  Economy / Economics / Re: Beliefs about money and wealth on: February 27, 2018, 11:12:02 PM
3 - Having money is a question of luck, if not of "gods grace".

i strongly agree with this one, this only means that the success of your life is in your hands. Prayers and luck doesn't assure you to have money but your perseverance and hardworking skills does.
6 - Cryptos are the way to make money and be successful without having to put effort into it.

Yes! If you want to make money without exerting to much effort then investing in cryptocurrency is the answer. Some of the  investors who trust crypto (especially bitcoin) way back its very beginning are now rich, but the situation is now different, today you can't easily see the profit maybe you should also wait a couple of years to become rich like them if only the coin that you have chosen continue to grow.
Investing in crypto will give you money by just hodling yet success is not guaranteed since fluctuation is a natural behavior of it.
7 - To become rich I just have to believe in Bitcoin because many people have become rich doing that.
Not just because many people became rich through bitcoin doesn't mean you will have the same fate like them. You should not only believe in bitcoin but mostly believe in yourself. Maximize your potentials and used it in a field that you know you will excel, add some passion and dedication and I'm sure you will have a fruitful life.
2917  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: February 26, 2018, 11:55:56 PM
Imagine, if you are now already struggling to become a Member then how much more when you are aiming to become a Senior Member like me. But don't feel discouraged, take it as a challenge and use it for motivating yourself to make better posts. Smiley

Stop asking for merits because there's no assurance that you will received one. Just continue making quality posts and hope that it will be noticed by others but you could also try to push your luck on the Services where others offer free post reviews. Smiley
2918  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you thinking about the future? on: February 25, 2018, 11:56:47 PM
In my case, it's too early to think about that beacaue I'm still studying. Right now, my plan for my bitcoin is to use only for providing my own necessities that's all! Sounds selfish but I'm being practical, I prioritize myself first before others. Cheesy Maybe that idea will come to my mind when I already finished my studies, got a stable job and ready to make my own family (maybe 5 to 7 years from now).

Honestly, that's a great idea! It's very beneficial if parents out there save btc for the future of their children because they're not only giving them a better future but also enlightening them to the blockchain technology.
2919  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal on: February 25, 2018, 10:47:32 PM
Hey,

may I get the reason for getting this "Sorry soulofliberty, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum. You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com".

May I also know, which forum moderator has banned me?

You are banned because you definitely break a certain rule here in the forum and you're the only one who could determine that (just be honest and admit your mistake). I'm pretty sure that moderators will not ban you for nothing, do you make shitty posts or spamming? Maybe that's the reason behind this because that's the usual reasons for getting banned.

I know that you won't get banned for not a proper reason. I just said that it wasn't the reason for doing "copy & paste", since KWH suggested it. I do know that only the forum moderators can answer my question. That's why I do not understand why random people write unnecessary stuff here; even though you wanna be helpful. But not in this situation, since I wanna have answers from the higher chain.

I did not any spam stuff. Shitty post, can't thing about it. Since - my understanding - a shitty post is when you're way off topic or a troll. All I did was normal answer posts, with my opinion / sight of a view (feedbacks). Always in the proper channel. But that's why I wanted to know the exact reason from the moderators. Because apparently one post wasn't right.

That's why I opened this thread here, to get an answer from the proper person and not - nothing against you - some vague answers like "this is usually the reason".

As seven2smoke1 wrote, all my posts got deleted. That's why I noticed it, through the e-mail spam that my messages has been deleted. Without letting me know the proper reason, which is a different kind of story in terms of transparency.
Chill sir Smiley sorry if my answer doesn't help you at all. And just to be clear, I'm not accusing you or even thinking that you are a bad poster. I just want to figure out why that happened to you that's why I asked those questions. (I have no intentions to offend you)

I hope you'll find solution for your problem sir, good luck. Smiley
