^  Yeah I was surprised at that Bayern vs Villareal score line.  Lmao.  And it was lined at 1.65 win for Bayern which Hark recommended as a pick, which I thought was a value line too considering it's Bayern Munich.  But alas, in CL football you just never know what's going to happen.

Won the Real Madrid draw no bet one tho and followed another one of Hark's picks, BTTS at 1.97 which also hit.  Smiley

And yeah, def doubling down now that I fear for City.  Lol. There's just something in the CL that makes them choke at the really most important matches.

Edit:  I couldn't find a prop for which clubs goes through to the semis.  I wonder what the line is for Atletico.
2902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 07, 2022, 10:02:58 PM
^  Porsche has been showing their intent and interest to join F1 but nothing really came out of it.  But yeah..  It's cool if they did join.

Exactly, that's why there's still room for these guys to get a little more faster, esp Red Bull.  As is I think Ferrari has the quickest package.  So Red Bull has to figure out how to get rid of the extra weight.  As for Mercedes, it's the porpoising.  If they solve that problem then they will def by a problem for Ferrari and Red Bull.  Grin  I'm all for it.  Would be nice to see three teams battling it out for the most points per race instead of two.

Winner market for the Australian GP has Verstappen as the slight favorite at 2.25 and Leclerc at 2.50.  Quali lines are pretty close between both too, 2.25 and 2.35.

If they will resolve it I think they will be the car to beat and I'm not joking.

Who, Mercedes?  Yeah they could be if they figure it out.  They do still supposedly have the best power unit out on the track every weekend.  Just couldn't show it.  And I'm also not joking when I say I think that Ferrari has a better power unit than Red Bull.  We could see it in all the cars running the Ferrari power unit...  The Alfa Romeo cars and the Haas cars are all running them afaik.

Nothing really changed in the betting market.  In what week does everybody think Mercedes fixing the porpoising issue?  Hamilton is 15.00 and Russell us at 25.00 to get pole for quali.
2903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 07, 2022, 09:51:55 PM

^  Oh for sure.  I could see Burns making it look competitive in the first round just like what he did vs Usman.  But I don't know what it is whether it's his gas tank or his chin but Burns isn't really that durable.  He could even be finished at the first if Chimaev catches him.

Bottom line, striking Burns could have a slight advantage tho Chimaev has KO power.  BJJ, def Burns.  Wrestling, Chimaev.  Durability, maybe Chimaev?  We haven't seen him go all three rounds in the UFC.

Well, you got your good analysis right there. Khamzat Chimaev although we can not see it in his physique. I can say he is durable in some ways, and I could say that Chimaev could last longer than Burns. We can say many are judging this fight because of Burns Body build but we can always be wrong when we judge the book by his cover, and Khamzat Chimaev is packed with quality, if not with his physique. I am guessing his strength is undeniably there a thought, yeah, he surely will have a hard time with Burns, that's for sure.

Well that's the thing, we haven't seen Chimaev really get tested in any of his fights in the UFC.  All of them ended before the third round.  Lol.  And it's not just in the UFC, it's for his whole MMA career.

Here's his Tapology page...  Lmao.  All finishes.

https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/188143-khamzat-girikhanov

So yeah, maybe Burns well take him to deep waters.  Burns is kinda chinny tho.

Anyway there are some nice odds for Chimaev finish props.  Chimaev to win via KO is 2.15 at Stake and it's at 3.10 via submission.

And here's the press conference.  I havent' seen it yet, it was live just an hour ago.  Enjoy!

2904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 06, 2022, 06:19:58 PM
While price does its thing from day to day, anyone can run a node. Just do it, you'll learn a thing or two about the network along the way as well. We need more nodes for the day Monero inevitably hits the spotlight (and people are forced to pay the price of XMR's value).

https://monerohash.com/nodes-distribution.html

I have run a node for years...  On that map, I can zoom in, and there is a dot about 2 miles from my house.  I always wonder if that is actually me... or if someone else in my neck of the woods does it too...  My node may be part of the ones consolidated into my service provider.

Mine was in the middle of a lake.

Boating accident?

Anyway check out the price.  Seems like XMR has not been playing along with market shenanigans and is down just a tad over 2% while most of the alts in the market are down more than 5%.  BTC is down a tad over 4% right now.

Some hot takes:  XMR will rise in CMC during the next bear market.  And If the merge happens and it doesn't implode ETH, it will make BTC maxis sweat by making the gap in CMC too close for comfort.  It could even threaten a flippening.
2905  Economy / Speculation / Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin on: April 06, 2022, 05:59:33 PM
So...  Where's the Do Kwon guy right now?  Is he afk?  There are talks swirling around that he got spooked when a guy in Binance started making huge asks in spot so he must have pulled out his bids.  Cheesy  Dunno, I'm not really sure how true tho.  It could prolly just be CZ telling Do Kwon 'FU lemme accumulate lower before sending it to 50k.'.  Lol.

That's stupid, would you listen if you were Kwon? Hey man, I want to buy some coin cheaper so stop buying for a bit and if the price rises due to my buys or someone else comes in with a big buy, tough luck for you, you will have to spend more to buy these bitcoins - you can afford it!. This is business, there's no love between people who both want the same thing. Either one of them loses some money or the other.

It's weekend, I don't expect big players to come on Saturday or Sunday to buy. Also, there was a decent drop on Wall Street indexes on Friday that scared some investors.

I'd rather expect Kwon to back away for a bit because there's so little coins on exchanges that his buys are pushing the price up too fast. If he keeps buying too fast he's going to end up buying too expensive.

What do you mean stupid?  Lmao.  Would anybody really keep buying BTC up knowing that the owner of the exchange and his MM's are spoofing sell walls to spook the whole market out?  Just look at the market rn.  A few bad news here and there and a little spoofing, where is the Do Kwon guy?  Don't make the mistake in thinking that he'll keep buying BTC if sh*t hits the fan.  I mean who would want to hold a losing position as a 'reserve'?  That's just dumb.

Exactly and that action made just to hype up his followers, guess what happen now some people really believe his statement release then think about he will do more to support bitcoin to pump it more and that is totally crazy thought's since no people in right mind will continue to buy and don't care if they lose due to its volatility. Maybe he just do it so that his position will be hit and I guess he is happy now counting the profits he made for those hyping techniques he made.

Hype is fine.  I have no problems with somebody trying to spread some sort of awareness behind his moves.  But to think that there isn't a bigger whale who could spoil Do Kwon's plans would be a mistake.  I mean check the market right now...  Wouldn't it be better to wait and let the price drop than to buy now knowing that it could put you in the red?  And what if we're really going to a full on bear market?  I doubt he could buy everything up to a new all time high.  He couldn't do alone.

But yeah, BTC should close above 44.5k today or so or we be stuck in the previous range again.

^  Chelsea defends well under normal circumstances.  But with all the sh*t that's going on behind the scenes at the club and the uncertainty of its future, it's looking like it has been affecting the squad on the pitch.  Chelsea lost to Brentford 1 - 4.  I mean wtf, that doesn't just happen.  So yeah...  Knowing that and Real being Real, I'm taking a shot at the draw no bet for Real Madrid at decent odds at 2.60.

What do you guys think?

I understand your point and It's a valid one, but then what about that game being a form of a wake up call for the Blues ? Real Madrid would be a playing away from home and I'd not want to underestimate a Chelsea side, under Tuchel.

That said, the odds seems rather valuable but, I'll settle for BTTS @ 1.96 and meanwhile Bayern Munich (without significant injury worries) ML @ 1.62 against Villarreal is great value, right ?

^  Right!  Good call on the Bayern one.  And I think I'm gonna follow you on the BTTS lean for Chelsea vs Real Madrid.

You still play the EPL pool?  Who's leading that table?  I going back and I'll play next season after skipping this one.

I won't be playing for the Champions League game today but if I were you I would choose Chelsea in their game against Real Madrid, I think losing 4-1 to Brentford is quite natural considering Chelsea have to prepare their key players for today's Champions League match. My prediction in this match is Chelsea 2 - 1 Real Madrid.

Yeah but I don't think Tuchel deployed that much of a 'B squad' vs Brentford.  There were key players there who'd still be playing vs Real Madrid later.  But yeah it's a tough one.  I guess I was midcurving Chelsea's conundrum too much in my head.  And losing to Brentford in that way tends to sway you to bet for the other side.  Lol.  But dunno I feel comfy taking the draw no bet for Madrid.  If it ends in a draw I get my money back.  Grin

Anyway there are some people saying that Red Bull and Mercedes' cars are 5 kg heavier than the Ferrari cars and 10 kg heaviier than the McLaren cars.  I'm not sure how true but that looks like a huge difference.

Mercedes and Redbull are actually complaining about the weight of the cars and they are considering removing the paint for earning a weight loss.

Here are the results for the games played earlier today:

Benfica 1-3 Liverpool

Manchester City 1-0 Atletico Madrid

You were right Liverpool scored a lot of goals, you were completely right with your 1-3 scoreline. You nearly had the other game score correct too  Grin

At this stage you would have to say Liverpool will qualify for the semi-final but Manchester City still have to go to Atletico and perform well otherwise they will be out of the competition.

Yup.  I fear for City tbh.  Winning by just a goal in the first leg leaves Pep and his boys very vulnerable at the reverse fixture.  It's going to be pretty tough for City to break that defense again as they tend to become stale during a match.  I feel like Atletico wins by a goal too taking it at pens...  Which I don't mind.  Pens to decide who goes thru is always fun.  Smiley

Anyway, who you guys got between Chelsea and Real Madrid?  I feel like Real is being disrpespected here at 3.80, draw no bet at 2.60.  :/

Redbull opened to the possibility to change Perez with Gasly for the next year.

Gasly is still a Redbull driver and his contract will expire the next year.

Source: https://www.formulapassion.it/motorsport/formula-1/f1-piloti/marko-gasly-red-bull-perez-2023-611114.html

Prolly a good idea.  Perez is prolly being paid more than if they got Gasly onboard Red Bull again for a second stint.  zand Perez isn't really that much of a difference compared to Albon and Gasly's performances from what I remember.  But the thing is will Gasly be able to defend like how Perez does in crucial moments?

Anyway there are some people saying that Red Bull and Mercedes' cars are 5 kg heavier than the Ferrari cars and 10 kg heaviier than the McLaren cars.  I'm not sure how true but that looks like a huge difference.

I think I'm only confident in Kane getting a goal.  And maybe Adams.  Cheesy  Saka could get one but doubful vs Crystal Palace away.
It was bad luck for me again last time in Majestic7 and I had only one correct goal scorer selected, it was Heung-min Son from Tottenham.
Maybe buwaytress, tokeweed or others had better results than me, and I will only hope that next round Matchday32 will be better for me Smiley

I didn't even bother to check.  Lol.  And just from the looks of it, I don't think I made one correct goal scorer for this week's Majectic 7.  And this game is funny...  You do your 'research', you make the picks and you're so excited that you'd get at least 5 goal scorers hitting.  And maybe you even get the feeling that you might hit the big one.  Grin  But once the matches are over...  Adrenaline dump.  -_-

It's like a lottery ticket.  And I'm sure doing something like the Majestic 7 for the UFC and F1 would be as much fun.

For anyone that missed One Championship match Rodtang vs Demetrious Johnson, you can now watch full fight for FREE on their youtube channel.
It was interesting rules with one Round having rules that suits each of the fighters, and I have to say that Demetrious Johnson looked unexpectedly good in first Muay Thai round.
I am sure we are going to see second fight between this two fighters soon, and I don't dislike idea of mixed rules like this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dG_lg2g-sQ

Yup he's decent at stand up.  But you could see his insticts as a wrestler automatically gets him to go for the body lock or the under hooks the moment Rodtang gets too close to him.  It's so obvious. And he was just trying to hang in there at R1.  R2 was a whole different ball game.  It was Demtrious Johnson's world.

But all in all if the rounds were longer, I think Rodtang would be a problem for DJ.  I think they only three minute rounds if I remember it right.
2915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 05, 2022, 02:52:24 PM
^ Chimaev is the special one. Its not just a hype, he's what he is. He lift Jing up and then talk to Dana while in the cage asking what he'd do scares the MMA fighters watching the fight. I say Burns seem challenged while the everyone hides from Chimaev. I don't bet big but this is going to be one of the fight that I might bet at least $200 to win $20.

Aljamain Sterling vs Petr Yan on UFC 273 will be fun. Aljo may not escape this time around.

Yeah I guess so...  We'll see.  All I can say is he could be but there are a lot of questions about Chimaev that are gonna be answered this weekend in terms of his cardio and his striking as he's facing a well rounded fighter in Burns.

And here's Embedded episode 1 for UFC 273.  Watch how Yan trains.  Treadmill to punch mits, back to treadmill then heavy bag then back to treadmill and does it all over again.  Lmao.  I think Aljo is def f*cked.  Cheesy

^  Yeah, I guess Chimaev has become one of the most exciting, if not the most exciting prospect in the UFC rn.  Stealing a term from an infamous football manager, Chimaev could be the 'special one'.  Grin  But then again Burns could show him a thing or two...  I'd say the line is too wide but maybe after the match Chim will justify the line.  We'll see.

No bets in football matches for the weekend as it could get dicey in many spots.  A lot of the players are all prolly tired from their international duties.  I did my Majestic 7 picks just to keep me entertained tho.  Leeez go!

Picks:  Trossard, Adams, Saka, Rashford, Kane, Bowen and Ramsey.

It's probably good to remove the underdogs from your parlay and just leave Volk, Yan and Garry parlayed at 1.75 since it's mostly likely going to cash then just bet straight on Burns and Du Plessis.  They're both live dogs imho.  Burns is a bit of step up for Chimaev, tho Chimaev could be something special.  And Du Plessis is going against Gastelum that seems to be deteriorating.  He hasn't looked himself since losing to Adesanya.

And tbh, I really don't know who I'd pick between Gastelum and Du Plessis.  The Du Plessis guy has some serious power in his hands and he's a big guy.  Go watch him vs Giles.
Funny you should say that it was either last week or the week before that I pretty much nailed a 6 fold accumulator if it wasn't for one of the massive favourites letting me down. Cory Mckenna, had to be a Welsh fighter too. I can't remember how much it was for now. It was for a decent amount I know.

I really like Du Plessis, hes come through for me many of times. Burns to me is the real risky bet, but I actually think hes going to do it. I rarely do single bets these days, I'd rather the excitement of an accumulator with high odds, especially since the Burns fight is one of the last on the accumulator.

I had Cory McKenna too.  At the top tier of my parlays.  Lmao.  She had the wrong game plan and stood up and striked vs her opponent who had good stand up.  If she had gone for her bread and butter with a grappling heavy game plan, it would've been an easy win for her imho.  I don't know why they did it but I think she and her camp prolly wanted to entertain the London crowd...  It cost them the W.

I'll lean Gastelum for jeremypwr's Multi Master but I'll prolly take a shot at Du Plessis.  He's on the up.
2919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: April 02, 2022, 01:06:15 PM
^  I guess.  But it's still not an excuse to do it.  It basically could pressure the fighter into doing a move he wouldn't have and lose the match.

Who is going to remove those refs if they make a mistake like this?
Ref have their own union, and only one of their bodies can fire them, not bloody Dana White or some other guy like him in other mma organizations.
Then you also have local sport federation that is responsible for this and for rules in events, that means that every region even in United States can have different rules.
Take a look on one video showing craziest referee mistakes in UFC:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2FdxvX2aYk

I never said Dana White or any promoter could fire them.  But they could prolly go to the commission and request to habe them removed for the event.  And in case you didn't know it's the commission that sends the refs to the events to oversee the matches.  That's why we see them same refs at UFC, LFA, Bellator, etc..  They are not employed by the UFC.

But a double point deduction for two fighters feeling each other out is dumb.  I'd def say the same thing if it happened in the UFC.

Anyway, did anybody watch the PFL Challenger Series?  I couldn't find a stream.
2920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 01, 2022, 04:43:05 PM
Right, my predictions:

Alexander Volkanovski
Petr Yan
Gilbert Burns
Mackenzie Dern
Aleksei Oleinik
Dricus Du Plessis
Aspen Ladd
Ian Garry
Anthony Hernandez
Jairzinho Rozenstruik
Mike Malott
Julio Arce
Vinc Pichel

That's a lot of fights this event. My actual betting slip will probably only include a few of these. I'm thinking Ian Garry, Petr Yan, Alex Volk, and potentially Gilbert Burns as the underdog. I'm undecided, but I might put Dricus Du Plessis on the betting slip too. Hes always pulled it out of the bag when I've included him.
