2901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: May 11, 2016, 02:43:04 AM
Using multiple wallets is good security practice, but at the very least, part of the coolness of the protocol is the ease of whipping up a new address . Like opening up a bank account, without giving them your life details and blood type. Certain wallets have features that make them more useful for certain tasks (I use mobile wallets for my Sig earnings, for example, because I buy silly stuff/food/speculate  with the funds , and they move around a lot)
2902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am satoshi nakamoto on: May 11, 2016, 02:39:05 AM
At this point, if Jimmy Hoffa popped up and claimed he was Satoshi, I'd probably just say fuck it and welcome him aboard.

I'd prefer Elvis, however.
2903  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2016, 02:37:21 AM
Perhaps it would help if there were female centric products actually available to buy with bitcoin. We forget that the primary demographic for bitcoin users is young to middle age white male. It would be foolish from a business standpoint to offer products that target any other demographic.
2904  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2016, 02:33:14 AM
My plan is to get rich by simply just use the bitcoin as a investment and make money with it on that way.
I think this is easily possible if we have enough patient for it.

That plan is very popular for all of people that use bitcoins it is better if you are going to invest a big money for bitcoins. As you wait for its price increase, the more you have bitcoins, the more income you will generate after you patiently waiting.

At the moment, bitcoin is too volatile to even consider adding additional risk by investing in a grc denominated asset (this includes mining). Always a winning strategy to simply hodl.
2905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do to get bitcoins? on: May 11, 2016, 02:30:18 AM
Hello I have spent my bitcoins on a cloud mining website, and i am wondering if there is anything i can do to earn bitcoin while i wait for that, just keep in mind the following: I have no skills except for making offensive jokes, I don't have a job because I am a student, and I want to try and trade bitcoins :/ any answers would be greatly appreciated

Kind regards

Just going to pop this address here: 1HNCH7C2zYTufQQ8ESSdnDs9EgfzVChMBS
I would not recommend donating as the only thing you will get in return is a
thank you from me Tongue

The only way you can get bitcoin at your level is through faucets since you have no knowledge about online job that offer bitcoin payment and you are still a newbie hence you cannot participate on signature campaign ..

Faucets, and ad campaigns. Also look for affiliate programs that pay in bitcoin if you have a decent social network
2906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it to store your bitcoins on a mobile phone? on: May 10, 2016, 07:19:59 PM
Fine for small amounts needed for transactions but keep any large balances in cold storage or on a very well secured computer

Besides the risks of connectivity (a phone is designed to be connected to the network), you can have the device stolen. Just fine for small amounts, but I'd only use apps that have web redundancies/web interface so that in the event of device seizure or destruction, you can recover you coins. Save the keys on something OTHER than your phone  Grin
2907  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: May 05, 2016, 03:46:17 AM
Pound your grand-ma with my man meat untill she begged you to pay another 10BTC to make me stop.

2908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: May 04, 2016, 07:30:32 PM
The banking conglomerate is entirely too entrenched to "replace". They are the gatekeepers, and their interests will be served or it won't happen.

If you had a disruptive technology that threatened everything you had grown to expect, threatened the very mechanism by which you generated your value, how would you react?

"Blockchain blah blah blockchain..."
2909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: May 04, 2016, 07:26:35 PM
What can you do with 1.5 btc? I'd suggest hold it. Whatever you do, I wouldn't actively speculate beyond hodling unless you know what you are doing. I say time and time again, most of the time in hindsight, had I just held the coins, I'd be in a much better place.

Or, you could spend them  Grin we forget sometimes it's just money, that's what it's made for! Wink
2910  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does sending Bitcoins feel good? on: May 04, 2016, 07:22:56 PM
Hell to the no. Sending bitcoin hurts my heart because I'm spending money. In fact, a small piece of me dies each time I pull up a wallet and send my hard earned, non refundable bits hurtling towards a random ass string of numbers that I don't know the private key to.
2911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: May 04, 2016, 07:19:23 PM
I can't see how anyone could hate bitcoin

Assholes hate bitcoin. It not really something to hate on per se, it's like trolling the air, or raving against against the sun being hot.

With that being said, traditional finance heads absolutely hate bitcoin. Love the blockchain however.

Old finance = assholes? Grin
2912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 04, 2016, 07:16:26 PM
Craig Wright is a good fit to pass for Satoshi, with the right skill-set and a mysterious twist in his personality to be the creator of Bitcoin. If I had to make a bet, I'd bet he is Satoshi.

I concur, but something about this (lack of the right keys) makes me think he isn't the real McCoy. Which raises serious questions about his motivations.

Also, he just put a price on his head. This is the biggest red flag, why step forward now?
2913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now they [bbc] are saying Craig Wright is not Satoshi!! on: May 04, 2016, 07:13:24 PM
One would have to think that Satoshi would have anticipated this particular eventuality, that is, having to demonstrate control of genesis block related addresses to verify his identity. That Mr. Wright is unable to do this bode poorly for his claim. Surely as the creator of the protocol, he would have prepared for this?
2914  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling matter use potential rights on: May 01, 2016, 04:07:43 AM
Gonna reply to this, the miss just came home, catching up on her day.

Take a t break. I don't do concentrates, just flowers, but a few days and it will take very little to make it novel again. Have any ethanol or isopropyl alcohol? Try to do a reclaim on your piece. Should at least get you by, if your piece is dirty, you might actually reclaim a gram or so.
2915  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling matter use potential rights on: May 01, 2016, 03:25:38 AM
In what way wasn't it perfect? Just because you couldn't understand it? Wouldn't that make my life more perfect if everyone else was less smart than me?

Perfect communication is impossible through language. When an idea passes through the filter of language, it corrupts, and corrupts again when it is received by the listener. Not trying to get bible thumpy on ya, this is a more secular perspective.

But speaking to the emergence of duality, the initial contrast would have been (ignoring creation ex nihilo) the sepearation of everything else from the creator during creation. This would have been the first opposed eidos, or the creation of the first continuum.

A Pc character does not fit the definition of God in this model, more the physics engine that runs the game, or perhaps the computer that runs the code.
2916  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling matter use potential rights on: May 01, 2016, 03:12:40 AM
But if you are serious (I love to joke but hate to offend), please see here:

Acts 17:28 "for in Him we live and move and have our being."

Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

So, that you reside in this physical plane, and have substance, you are a constructed thing, not a creator. While you may be able to hold actors in your mind, they lack souls and substance, and mostly importantly, income, which might make getting that skrilla hard.

Besides, He has a pretty tough time getting tithes out of his followers Smiley If you figure that one out, please pass it along.
2917  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling matter use potential rights on: May 01, 2016, 03:03:38 AM
Well.

I don't think you are crazy, but I would loooove to try some of what you have rolled up at the moment.

Also, god is perfect. I didnt quite understand this, so, this wasn't perfect. So, if I were you I might seriously reconsider my divinity.

[2]IMPORTANT:

The crowdsale offer refers to the Wallet project only. No refunds. Token is not a security, is not listed, authorized, issued or traded on any regulated market. We do not guarantee that the value of tokens will increase.
Reason enough right there. Buying tokens that *explicitly* represent nothing.
Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Securities used to be jammed with similar offers a few years ago. Results as expected.

Oh, it was a whimsical time of NEOBEES and ASICMINERs. Rife with vanishing fund managers and epic exchange hacks.  Bitcoin may as well have been VentureCapCoin.

May we never return to this place.

This offering however; too vague. We've moved into BTC 2.0, if im going to invest into a quasi legal asset, I at least want the terms to be clear. This is being pitched as a gofundme project for all practical purposes. Not quite an investment.

Also, the diligence is impossible on this.
2919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Law Would Send Bitcoin Users to Jail as Cybercriminals on: April 28, 2016, 11:13:05 PM
If they want to curb the use of bitcoin in illegal activities, they should have regulate the bitcoin instead of banning it outrightly.Even fiat can be and is used in illegal activities, will they ban fiat too?

No, moms buy milk for their babies with fiat. Dads gas up their cars with fiat. Babushkas buy whatever it is babushkas buy with fiat. Bitcoins? If bitcoins disappear, it would be harder to score krokodil and pay off ransomware extortionists, otherwise zero impact.
Still confused?

LMAO, you had to bring krokodil into this. But you are right. Very few people in the world really use bitcoin because they aren't really so useful for making everyday transactions. I lived off of bitcoin for a few years (which means living off of Gyft for a few years), it sucks ass and you have no fuel. Bitcoin truly is internet money, albeit useful.

Also, the confirmation time issue would be spooky bad if ppl actually used bitcoin.

... but you dont see governments fighting them .. ask urself why.

Could it be because they don't brag about bringing fiat and governments to their knees on the interweb, like a bunch of embarrassingly edgy teenagers with daddy issues?
Dunno.
kek

Yeah, that's fairly accurate, I'm not sure why so many people on this forum think they're bringing the government to their knees, and that they're part of some great movement. I'll admit I'm not completely innocent of that, but I definitely haven't been as fanatical about it as some of the people here.

They are not aware of the abuses a government can pour on a person's head. It's like a business, wiith guns. AKA a gang. I tend not to fuck with gangs, lest I come up missing.

I do not use Steam, but will probably try it soon.
Great news for Bitcoin.  Smiley

This pretty much made my mind up for getting a SteamBox rather than the next gen of console. Way more titles, that are decent because guys are trying to build their brands, and I don't have to use Gyft  to generate a PSN card. Sign me up.

Also, I have a strong suspicion Steam is going to do the VR thing waaaay better than the majors. VR equipment seems kinda byo at the moment, perfect fit  Grin
