2902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 09, 2020, 06:04:50 AM
I see in the coin market cap its a pretty new coin. But what happens to that project? Why price drop more than 70%? Also, I do not know that the exchange it listed on. Is there any plan to listing on any reputable exchange like Binance? A coin should expand its reach by listing on a new exchange. Is there any official article where I can learn more about this project.

Idena is listed on Qtrade. It is not well known exchange but it is hones one, no fake trades, no KYC (max 2000$ daily withdrawal).

Here you can read about exchange listing plans.
https://medium.com/idena/july-15-2020-idena-ama-transcript-a11807d7aa96

But i will quote here satoshi words:

No, don't "bring it on".
The project needs to grow gradually so the software can be strengthened along the way.
I make this appeal to WikiLeaks not to try to use Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is a small beta community in its infancy.  You would not stand to get more than pocket change, and the heat you would bring would likely destroy us at this stage.

I'm not comparing bitcoin to IDENA but i think that bitcoin in 2010 was in similar stage as IDENA now - not ready for huge hype.

Push on or pull back?
Too soon to push. I think we will stay under 12 000 couple more days.

Looks interresting. I think that it will fake down, test 11 200 and then moon 13 000+.
2904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: August 08, 2020, 04:22:08 PM
Interesting suggestion to divide your money between many bankroll but it will take much more time to monitor, unless it is done every few weeks or months maybe + the site is very trustworthy since it can closes at any moment or turn scam of course.

I think that there is nothing to monitor. All short term movements are 100% random. My investment is based on strategy:

Buy doge on strong 5y support (~27 sat) and wait for pump
While waiting multiply doge by investing in bankroll
the end

I check my profit only for curiosity but i will not shot it down no matter if i'll see -50% tomorrow or +100%. I wait for good exit point based on doge price.

The only thing that is worth to monitor is to check once per week the reputation section looking for scam accusations against casino that I invested in.

BTW someone is going crazy on BTC

2905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: August 08, 2020, 07:22:03 AM
Even then, I have to add the risk of the whales winning money and taking away a chunk of the bank roll. I've barely ever gotten a return investing in bitcoin casinos.
We all agree about the long term which is technically +1 year. However I am aware of 2 pro gamblers picking everyday up to 1 BTC and sometimes more which made the profits lately negative. Of course losing is a possibility but I doubt they will risk 22 BTC again  Wink

I see that whale win/loss big extreme event is still a hot topic here so I'll put a suggetion how to reduce their impact on final investment ROI.

The smaller the bankroll is, the greater your exposure to the extreme cases is (outcome from investment is more random). I mean that with infinite amount of bets the probability of you ending on loss in infinite low. So if you want to have the most consistent results even for short term investment (~1 month) you should spread your money between different coins and casinos.

F.e Instead of having 1000$ in yolodice bankroll that is 100 000$ big it is better to have 200$ in 100 000$ bankroll, another 100$ in 50 000$ bankroll f.e. bustadice, 100$ in 30 000$ DOGE etc. That way your 1000 $ is involved in much more bets/day. The closer you are to infinite the closer you are to infinite low probability of loss (i know it is not mathematically correct sentence, but it explains the relationship well enough  Smiley )

If bankroll that your money will be part of will be 10x bigger than you will reach less random outcome 10 times faster.

Take a few minutes to read new article on medium. What are your thoughts?

Idena oracles
https://medium.com/idena/idena-oracles-c6e5b1908c9f

Pretty excited. Especially about the date.

"It is scheduled for Q3-Q4 of 2020. Currently we are working on a predefined smart contract for oracle voting. Hopefully it will be available in the next releases. After that, the Idena app will support oracle voting."

BTW Market reacted too.
2907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] IDENA - Signature Campaign [Weekly Payment - Limited] on: August 04, 2020, 02:23:44 PM
why should the candidate? Because without that status there are people who will play multiple accounts, with the status of candidates and so on it is easy to track.
Requesting invite code is not a disadvantage, you also will not lose any money for it. So there is no question.
In addition, the candidate status in IDENA is also a requirement to validate and get free DNA coins without the need to pay for mining RIG. As simple as that.  Wink

Thanks for answer.

People who will give bounty hunters invite codes will lose reward because they will most likely miss validation. Having invite code does not guarantee to be uniqe person (reqest newbie status if you want it so bad). Invitations are not something hard to get nowadays (network does not grow 20% per epoch like it was before), its easy to get more than 1. I still don't see a point of it.
2908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: list of bounties good quality (new update 23_06_2020) on: August 04, 2020, 01:49:47 PM
IDENA - First proof of person coin already listed on qtrade (0.07$/DNA) just started a bounty.

Min 15 post paid 80-200 DNA depending on your rang (full member - legendary)

2909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] IDENA - Signature Campaign [Weekly Payment - Limited] on: August 04, 2020, 01:44:01 PM
How do I get the wallet address with the candidate status?
- Download wallet https://idena.io/?view=download#
- You will see in your wallet to activate the invite code
- You need to get the invite code to get the candidate status, you can get it here https://idena.io/?view=invitation# or here https://t.me/idenaflipschool

Why you want people to get candidate status? You don't need this to be able to use wallet (deposit/withdrawals). It will end up with people begging for invitation and then wasting invitation by not taking part in validation and then bagging again to only get candidate status to get payment. Pointless.

2911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENS TO LIQUIDATED FUNDS IN CRYPTO TRADING on: August 02, 2020, 12:20:03 PM
First of all
I don't want to be mean but i think that i must say that to save your money. Your knowledge about how market works is very low. If you think about trading with leverage than stop it and educate yourself. You have lots to know before first trade.

Now back to your question:
When you open leveraged position you are investing with not your money and your money act as collateral. When trade is not going how it should and your expected loss is getting to close to your collateral value than exchange is forced to close your position (that's called liquidation). And cover loses with money from collateral. The leftovers are either send back to trader or left in exchange (depends on exchange policy - mostly risk managment).

Putting that into example (simple version):
1 - you open a trade with 10x leverage worth 1 BTC (0.1 BTC is yours, 0.9 BTC is "borrowed from exchange")
2- price dumped 10%. Your position is worth 0.9 BTC
3- exchange is forced to close this position and create 0.9 BTC sell order. Takes 0.9 BTC (amount that you borrowed) and leaves you with 0

0.9 BTC is the about that was liquidated and that's the amount that you hear of during bull/bear runs
2912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 02, 2020, 11:10:13 AM
All the changes made reduced their DNA income on the validation day + the low income from mining. You spend like $11-12 (depending on VAT) for the VPS and get $25-26. For $14-$15 a month they don't bother.

Which change reduce DNA income?

I agree with realRioda. Its all about the price.

Bugaga made this and post on telegram:

Production cost is calculated as 1$ per node per day of minting. Which is a fair reward in my opinion.
2913  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Accurate Is The Bitcoin Market Capital? on: August 02, 2020, 10:47:18 AM
Just wait until Wall Street is done with BTC. Central counterparties typically pledge a unit of collateral to ~1.8x parties beyond the actual owner. https://www.forbes.com/sites/caitlinlong/2018/08/13/the-r-and-c-words-enter-the-vocabulary-of-bitcoin-enthusiasts/

The downside is this has an inflationary effect, in regards to the BTC supply. If people think they own BTC (when they really don't) that effectively reduces demand. In fact, this is one of the ways a lid is kept on asset prices on Wall Street.

That's why it is important to promote events like proof of keys day (Jan 3 each year).

https://hackernoon.com/not-your-keys-not-your-bitcoin-jan3bitcoin-z6k3ktb

And inform people that holding bitcoins on third party wallets is not only risky but also harms bitcoin by inflating it
2914  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Accurate Is The Bitcoin Market Capital? on: August 01, 2020, 12:01:06 PM
I had no idea Binance had purchased CMC, when did this sale take place?

31 March 2020.
https://www.coindesk.com/binances-coinmarketcap-acquisition-is-a-bet-that-crypto-really-is-for-the-masses

But as i know nothing changed. Binance is just an investor. According to CZ words both companies are self sufficient and both generate profit. So they will operate separately and won't influence each other. CMC will not have any privileges from binance same as binance from CMC. CZ said that CMC team is still in charge and all he can do is giving advices but final decision is in CMC team.

During last AMA, CZ was asked what if someone will develop better product and will take over the market. He answered something like "I hope we will buy them before that happened". That's what was done here i guess. If anyhow CMC will try to take over the market (f.e partnership with uniswap and make a use from the biggest user base crypto companies has ever had + a lot of luck) binance will be the one who will eat the cake.
2915  Local / Polski / Re: Czemu KYC jest skrajnie niebezpiecznie i pozbawione celu on: August 01, 2020, 10:21:51 AM

We have lift off!

I think bitcoin is unstopable at this point.

This picture looks more bullish than this one:

Just think about all this shorts that was open last 3 months and has to be closed now. Easy 13k before first stop, where first longs bought at 9-10k range will be closing.

2917  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Accurate Is The Bitcoin Market Capital? on: August 01, 2020, 08:21:27 AM
With all sorts of fake over-inflated trading volumes being sent to coinmarketcap.com and other websites, how accurate do you think the real value of Bitcoin actually is and what the real market capital of Bitcoin actually is?

Fake trading volumes are made by grinding the same coins in place. It does not push price in any direction (so the market cap whis is price x supply). People excited about volumes (f.e "wow break resistance with such huge volume i have to be in") buys but I don't think that it has any significant impact on bitcoin price.

But what is a "real market capital of Bitcoin" is a good and interesting question.

@jackg pointed at lost bitcoins that push "real MC" lower. I'll point at something called fractional reserve system implemented by exchanges and crypto banks that push "real MC" much higher.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094088.msg49096584#msg49096584

I dare to assume that by adding together the wallets of all people who think they have bitcoin, we will exceed 21 million even today (with 18 million real bitcoins in circulating supply).
2918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The reason why Crash Games usually crash at lower values on: August 01, 2020, 07:45:47 AM
So yesterday a forum member asked me why do Crash Games usually crash at lower multiples (mostly lower than 2x)? Does that mean these games are not fair? Does that mean owner of the site manipulated the game so lower multipliers appear more often than the higher multipliers? I thought other forum members may have these doubts too so I decided to create this thread.

Not all crash game shows actual odds of winnings. It is not roulette or dice where you can calculate your odds and house edge easily. Formula with E and H is shown only in fairness section and only for few gambling sites (big part of "provably fair" casinos are "provably fair" only for 1-2 games, rest games "provably fair" section is under construction forever). House edge on these games can be set to 20% and you don't know it. Does it mean that output is "manipulated" and "not fair"? To me, As long as casino share formula how crash is calculated it is fair. It's gambler fault that did not check how high casino set house edge.

But back to OP. Great explanation how crash is calculated. Good work.

Formula with H and E is very clever because it provides consistent commission for the casino no matter where players positions their bets.

You want to double? You have 4x% to do so
Quote
Hence, in 5 out of 9 case, value is lower than 2x.
You want to tripple? you have <33% to do so - 3/10 above 3

You want to do 10x? you have <10% to do so

and so on and on. No matter where you put your bet. Math take care that you have same risk/reward ratio and casino have it's share.
2919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: August 01, 2020, 07:22:51 AM
So since tomorrow I am gonna update the table normally, I will not edit it to add that surprises. My investment went from ~ -50k satoshi to +54k satoshi since a guy lost around 22 BTC in just 1 hour! See those photos!

Gratz! I guess that he was also a reason for last 6 weeks in red. I have a filling that he was doing some sort of martingale system. That's why despite statistic advantage casino was loosing week after week pushing you into  loses unless whale hit killing strike and whipe himself out.

it looks like it is the address of the foundation's fund wallet, where the funds will be used to fund the development of IDENA in the future or for the promotion of IDENA etc., correction if I am wrong
https://scan.idena.io/circulation  Cool

Correct, but...

This was repeated there 10 times. lemonandfriesonetwo knows the answer (because he was the reason of last 5 times when it was repeated) but is not satisfied with it.

BTW. Today is a validation day. Make sure you have updated and synced node and your status is "wait for validation"
