I guessed it was something of the sort. It'll be interesting to see how the interaction between the exchanges goes as well as the transfer from GLBSE. Interesting times to be sure.

Congrats on getting approved. I noticed you have 800 outstanding shares pre-trading, kinda makes me shy away a bit. Best of luck!

I'll drink to that!
Cheers.

Can't it be a bit of both? Surely if I had an ASIC or two just now I'd be reeling in some major BTC. Even after block halving those that get their ASICs first will make bank.

Yeah, not a fan of the company's performance and their employee selection process is...er...questionable at best. They needed this product cycle to go well after that cluster of an FPGA roll out. Instead they have the makings of an even larger cluster.
There are more than enough BFL cheerleaders around to balance things out...at least for now.
I agree...& more than enough bASIC cheerleaders as well....how are the pics & info coming there?? Kinda slow too,huh Definitely! For myself I don't care about pics or renderings, but I want info and none has been coming, despite announcements. Not too worried about it yet, but also not ordering additional units till I have more specs.

Dude this thread is from FEBRUARY. That's why it was dead, and that's why the poll makes no sense now.

Nah, BFL claims they're outsourcing board construction for the first batch...fortunately or there may be some delays.<ducks>

Inaba would run against him and likely outspend and out lie him. Political fail.
The fact that people have gotten refunds when requested...a good thing, but it still doesn't explain the multiple conflicting policies on this subject. This stuff is a fixture with BFL. They can't seem to ever get on the same page.

https://btct.co/ & LTC-GLOBAL security issuers have full access to shareholder information(email address & # of shares held) updated every transaction. This information is also periodically emailed to the asset issuers email address of record. Safeguards against a GLBSE like calamity have been built into both exchanges from the start. Disclosure: I am a LTC-GLOBAL shareholder and asset issuer. burnside is a good egg, but the fact is you don't have to trust him. As always you have to trust the asset issuer, that has not changed. Apologies friedcat, not trying to derail your thread.

Not a huge fan of fixed rate mining bonds, for the reasons mentioned. Were there more quality securities available to investors the price of these bonds would have to be lowered dramatically. Unless and until that's the case I'll hold my nose and shop for the most reliable mining bonds with growth plans in place.

I'll consider it. Any others?

A great first day of trading! Over half of the initially allocated units have been sold. Thanks to everyone that invested. True to it's name the fund has already made 4 dividend disbursements totaling over 4LTC. Who doesn't love dividends?

Pretty sure they're doing refunds despite the shady notification that pre-order funds are non-refundable. I've also seen posts from BFL reps suggesting a conditional refund policy. Something like, "we'll honor refunds if we don't ship by 1/31/2013" or some such.
All that said, I think they've been completely dishonest about this entire thing. They NEVER should have opened their pre-orders so early in the year, and they definitely never should have promised a date they couldn't deliver. People committed funds months ago based on those promises, and they have a right to expect those promises to be honored. The typical BFLites will dismissively say "well anyone that accepted their release date doesn't know BFL", but that doesn't wash.
Yes BFL deserves a scammer tag. Repeatedly lying when money has changed hands is scamming, period. Even if they do eventually ship, BFL customers will have been cheated of their money from the time they ordered to the time they receive products, during which time the products they bought will have dropped in value substantially due to greatly increased competition.

You really think you can attract more orders by not delivering, instead of being first delivering? Explain me the logic behind this please? De-nile...a river in Egypt...and so much more. Explain the logic please? Oh wait, you are that one trick troll pony creativex. Yeah I know...everybody that thinks for themselves and doesn't hit their knees whenever a BFL_blah posts is obviously a troll. Oddly, I was actually agreeing with you and your skepticism with regard to the two posts above yours. Did you just recognize that I don't have a BFL ad in my sig and go on the offensive?
