Too bad these are 220W.  Cry

OMG, why would you use stupid service like Coinbase
You will have experience having decentralized currency in centralized system Sad

I think you better try https://localbitcoins.com to buy bitcoin easily

Because localbitcoins lists overpriced sellers and possibly craigslist-type scams from what I heard.

No thank you. For now at least.
2903  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Max power out of a Dell Z750p / N750p Power Supply? on: March 14, 2015, 04:06:26 AM
Ohh.. so if the kill-a-watt says 800Watts, it's only really using 720watts out of the power supply?

So the real limits on an 850Watt EVGA SUperNova G2 is about 930+- watts at the wall?

This is all expecting a 90% efficiency PS.
2904  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer c1 overclock, Potential ? on: March 14, 2015, 03:51:41 AM
Bump up. What sort of overclocks and temps do you guys get with them/ I just picked up a few.  Wink
2905  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Max power out of a Dell Z750p / N750p Power Supply? on: March 14, 2015, 03:48:31 AM
Yeah that was on a Kill-a-watt.

So if I run them for a bit sometimes at past 800watts it's still ok?

What about running an EVGA 850W G2 at right the 850-900 watt limit? Is that ok? I know the 1300 G2's are fracking tanks, but just thought I'd ask.  Wink
2906  Bitcoin / Hardware / Max power out of a Dell Z750p / N750p Power Supply? on: March 14, 2015, 03:07:46 AM
As title asks, what is the max people have gotten away with using these power supplies?

I run then just around 700watts and they are tanks. IMO one of the best bangs for the buck, but once for about an hour, I didn't realize that it was running at 880W.
Nothing happened, the SP20 was happily hashing away, it wasn't even warm to the touch, but just wondering.

Thanks

Wow. I'm surprised the Mods are not blocking that.

I wouldn't allow that on my Firearms Forum, that's for sure.

On the other hand, I did not know this company was this fishy.

I was going to get an X-1 as it looked 'cool' with the LCD display, just to play with , etc.. But after seeing this, forget it.
2908  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB : Black Arrow Prospero X-1 on: March 14, 2015, 02:46:59 AM
Send me a realistic price and we'll talk.

*I know what hey go for on ebay and such, so plz no overinflated prices.*

This is just for me to play with as 100GH/s is pretty much useless for real mining.

Not Sure but your best share must be more than 2 billion
Current bitcoin difficulty is 47 billion so your share must be better than 47 billion.

What about luck?

Please school me how I sound like a 13 year old?

Did you notice the *Rant*?

And btw I call BS on your Instant Coinage being $1000.. instantly. Going by their policies , and support personal's information, that is just.. impossible. Maybe you are misunderstanding the Limitations they put in place or were told incorrect info as was I.

Here is the excerpt from their site directly *Finally found by myself without their help at all.

How do Buy Limits work?

Mar 13, 2015
This help article is for US-based customers. If you're located in Europe look here.

Using various payment methods, there are a few ways to purchase bitcoin at Coinbase, and each method has a different limit depending on how complete your profile is.

Bitcoin buy orders or USD deposits from a US bank account have a $3,000 daily limit until you complete identity verification and wait 30 days after your first purchase, at which time your daily limit increases to $10,000. You also have an instant buy limit for purchasing bitcoin using your bank account.

Instant buys require adding a credit card for verification and are initially limited to $100 per week. After completing identity verification and waiting 30 days after your first purchase, your instant buy limit increases to $1000 per week. Depositing bitcoin to Coinbase Exchange or buying bitcoin using your USD wallet as a funding source is limited to a $10,000 daily limit. Buy orders from your Coinbase USD wallet are always instant.

Going by the date edited, I'm guessing the fact I made a stink about it made them put that there.

So... Nyah Nyah Nyah... There.. 13year old enough for you?  Roll Eyes

You guys can thank me for the 1.06% block. I just bought 4 SP20Es for 1.06BTC each, it has to be related. LOL  Tongue

And in other completely related news, the expected earnings of 1TH/s per day is... 0.0106BTC... coincidence?  I think NOT!

Wow, what a steal on both ends, nice. Do they have any more? Lol

Odd thing. I have an S3+ solomining here for a while today, and I noticed that it has stopped hashing.

This is happening on 2 different Antminer S3+'s when I connect to the solo pool, but never when they are hashing on other non-solo pools.

Is this normal?

Anyone hit a Bitcoin yet? How can you tell if you hit one!?

Check your BTC address or look at the pools
https://blockchain.info/address/1PKN98VN2z5gwSGZvGKS2bj8aADZBkyhkZ

That only shows if they pay you. How do You know yourself you've hit a pool?
I think you might have your terminology a bit mixed up Smiley.  Your mining software will typically tell you the value of your best share.  If that value is greater than the current network difficulty, then you've found a block and you'll get the coins.  If you're running the Bitcoin Core locally, it will display a message on a transaction.  As was mentioned, blockchain explorer will show you activity for any wallet/transaction/etc you want to view.

Basically, if you're found a block solo mining you're going to see an extra ~25BTC in your wallet.  If you've found a block while mining on a "regular" pool, unless the pool specifically pays you a bonus for doing so, it doesn't matter that you found the block or not except for knowing that it was one of your miners that did.

Ohh, so it's totally automatic. C00lio. *LOL haven't used that term since High School*.

2917  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase - JOKE of a company *RANT* on: March 12, 2015, 07:17:48 PM
So I setup a coinbase account to buy some quick BTC so I can pay for some stuff I bought (on here).

I chatted with their support for a bit asking a lot of questions and they told me, multiple times, it takes 2-3 days for larger orders to clear into my wallet to use.
Got the email form them saying I was cleared for up to $10K

Setup Bank info, added credit card info for 'Instant purchase Power!!'. LOL

Made the purchase, expecting it to be done within 2-3 bus days.

Now turns out it has to be 4 or more, even though the funds have cleared my bank the second I placed the order and was withdrawn, and they now also have my credit card on file.

I confronted their 'support' 2 times and every time after I made it clear they not only gave out incorrect info, they confirmed there is NOTHING they can do, the BTC has to take it's course into my account, then I can sell it, of course with their profits... Huh

Every time, their support person just outright stopped conversing with me after I stated the facts. No replies, just me typing away like a little monkey hitting the keyboard with nothing to show for it.

The 3rd time, finally someone at their support explained that until I've been with them for 30days and made multiple, or higher than $1000 purchases, my 'Instant Purchase Power' is a weekly.....$100!!!!.. ROFL.

Obviously nobody said a peep about this.

Let's just say, I won't be ever using them for anything, other than maybe wiping my butt with any sort of paperwork or ads they might send me now that they have all my info.

I will probably be also putting them on a blacklist with my accounts and credit card for no future use and charges ever.

Ughh... had to vent... This is the reason so many people are afraid to get into bit coins. It all seems like money laundering, shark lending and back alley fly-by-night operations expecting to be jumped by a Mobster wanting his cut . Cheesy

Ok.. *Rant Off*.

This pool getting hit again today? I've had my miners switching back and forth about 5 times today to the backup pools.

...aaand we have another stagnant block.  Undecided

Are these attacks all orchestrated by other Bitmining pools due to competition?

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!?
