You have a long term time scale vs the typically much shorter time scales of bears here. I can agree with your long term trendline.

I'm pretty sure you can request MtGox to allow you to withdraw more than $50000/mo pending satisfactory documentation. I just requested them to allow my verified-only account for withdrawals of up to 500BTC per day no problemo. I don't see the difference with fiat as long as KYC regs are followed.

But it seems like we will hover at 120 for a while until the next big sell/buy.
I'm sure at least one of the many startups that recently received million+ investments will eventually churn something out that will make you want to buy (and spend) some coins ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Oh, about the "hitting $1000" thing...
Smart-butt... If you get 1BTC now, at $120, you could wait until it hits $1000... but 6-months is a long time to wait for an $880 gain.
LOL i disagree. 6 month wait time to get a 400%+ gain is worth it to not trade. sleep is priceless ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Incentive for someone heavy in bitcoins to maintain a price channel vs incentive for someone heavy in bitcoins to take profits...or vs the incentive to shake up a market in the hopes to get cheaper coins?
#1 is rather weak... I'd shave it off with Occam's razor
but, #2, and #3, I'd imagine it's a mix of both factors... "no one ever went broke taking profits". If you could do that while perhaps making the market move with your own hand at the same time, why not?

The protocol will always allow us to break away from/work outside of regulation, so if it helps us gain strength for now to comply with regulations then I'm okay

This is going to be a powerful force, in a good way, but I wish it decentralized and more competition to each other.
we have enough competition from states as it is ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) What does that have to do with investors? Don't you think that this could lead to some under value companies? Well, 60 investors. Honestly at this point I'd see it as beneficial for them to be banded together, combining their strengths, connections, capital and experiences to really push Bitcoin through. I imagine whoever is heading the effort has experience in bringing goals to realization... Hopefully the good, profitable ideas receive the immediate backing of their little network whereas those with undervalued ideas can continue incubating until they can get to the point to fully develop their ideas into a product. Such a network can only help, and those if ostracized are always free to develop/find funding elsewhere, right?

Rumor has it the first (historical) marathon runner died from dehydration after arrival.
...after covering 150 miles the two days before running said marathon. One version of the events is (from Wikipedia): Pheidippides as the messenger who ran from Athens to Sparta asking for help, and then ran back, a distance of over 240 kilometres (150 mi) each way. THIS IS BITCOIN! ."Joy to you, we've won" he said, and there and then he died, breathing his last breath with the words "Joy to you". Someone remember to bring this post back up when we find out if Bitcoin turns out to have the same fate as Phieddipedes or that of the Greek army's at Marathon ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

they stand to make more Bitcoin from the sale of the miners than mining BTC themselves.
Discuss the implications of buying miners vs using that capital to buy Bitcoins now.

10-20 years ago with floppy disks, we worked in KBs. MBs in terms of games, now GBs. Our hard drives are exceeding TBs now. It's not hard to change.
