2901  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: May 05, 2020, 02:33:36 PM
...I'm planning to add information about the site's limits/KYC requirements soon, so if you have any info about that (I couldn't find much except for Coinsbee and Bitrefill), please let me know!...
...
Also, does anyone know what happened to WeGift? Are they no longer offering gift cards to individuals?
...

Nope, by visiting their website they work only with businesses. The only thing I remember about providing gift cards to individuals is when it was possible at the time to link our Coinbase account to Wegift to convert cryptos into vouchers.
https://blog.coinbase.com/announcing-a-new-way-to-spend-your-coinbase-crypto-e-gift-cards-59687ff77c13
I remember trying but something was wrong, it ended quickly.

As for the limits and KYC

eGifter says:
Quote
The maximum amount that can be purchased by a single person across multiple gift cards is $10,000
The maximum amount that can be purchased by a single person for a single brand is $2,000
https://support.egifter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115010487747-Is-there-any-limitation-for-the-amount-I-can-purchase-

Gyft says:

Quote
The total/aggregate amount that you may load on one or multiple Gift Cards in a single day should not exceed $2,000.
https://www.gyft.com/terms-of-sale/

GiftOff says:
Quote
Orders of any size are welcome
https://giftoff.com/faq

Bidali says:
Quote
Prior to a customer being able to perform a transaction using Bidali's products or services, Bidali must identify the customer, known as Know Your Customer ("KYC"), in accordance with applicable regulations. Bidali has a policy which requires all customers to be "verified" prior to being able to accept any form of transactions through our platform
https://www.bidali.com/policies/aml

Quote
Restrict the value of each card to a maximum of 2,000 in fiat denominated currency (USD, CAD, GBP, AUD, EUR); and
Restrict to a maximum of 9,500 in fiat denominated currency (USD, CAD, GBP, AUD, EUR), in either a single order or combined order value, within 24 hours.

2902  Economy / Economics / Re: Get ready for more tax. Save your BTC! on: May 05, 2020, 01:38:12 PM
If they raise the Taxes , people will starve , they don't even have enough to eat for the time of quarantine , I do think if they do this then sooner or later people will overthrow the government.
Only rich people should be paying taxes are a time like this , why bother the poor when they are right now living marginally. Government needs to understand that they cannot keep their economy stable after causing harm to the general population.
They need to focus on recovery first , not on the economy , it is important but more important is taking are of the people who elected the government.

And who is to blame if they are poor? Me, the riches, the government, or themselves? They should have considered making a tenth of a child without being able to afford it BEFORE.  But hey! They rely on free money from gov. 12 months per year and who's paying for it?

Poors don't pay taxes, being not eligible by the way, all they do is to suck the money from the government. Can't even find a decent job since most of them have low education.

bitcoin is a good way to avoid tax too so ur suggestion of keeping btc for use is cool

People want Bitcoin to become legalized and regulated but they don't want to pay any tax (they only accept profits).... the irony...
The same type of people who want a 'Super State' but complaint about taxes thinking it's free to build hospitals, roads, schools
2903  Local / Hors-sujet / Re: petit jeu : le vainqueur gagnera 0,01 btc on: May 04, 2020, 09:59:09 PM

2904  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinsbee.com - Buy gift cards with about 50 crypto currencies! on: May 04, 2020, 07:56:09 PM
The loading time is a lot faster, there is a real difference. A nice improvement with mobile prepaid cards and categories too
Just a minor thing I noticed in the main header

"BUY YOUR FAVORITE GIFT CARDS WITH ABOUT 50 CRYPTO CURRENCIES!"
Below, 3 examples are displayed randomly. When it's Advcash, the image logo is missing

ps: out of curiosity, what country is shortened as "GCC"?

Edit: It comes from my adblocker, I tried without it and it's fine
2905  Economy / Reputation / Re: Does Face mask with QKR product code is surgical mask and prevent from corona? on: May 04, 2020, 04:32:38 PM
I would say it's maybe even better than the majority of the surgical masks. Usually, they have 3 layers of protection and this one has 4.
If it really filters 98% of the bacteria (which is more than usual, that's the equivalent of FFP2-3 masks except you can't put it on as FFP.

For anyone interested to buy some masks FFP2 outside of this forum, you can find many on Gearbest, Aliexpress. I ordered some from Germany
The shops are not allowed to sell masks in my country... Better I tell you it's funny getting sex with FFP2  Cheesy Cheesy
2906  Economy / Economics / Re: BitMEX to restrict all Japanese users from its Platform on: May 03, 2020, 07:52:57 PM
I don't like a lot Bitmex so I would say the site should restrict itself to be online too, lol.

As for the Japanese citizens, I don't think it will really be a loss for them. Either they use a VPN ( if Bitmex allows it) or move to another alternative like Deribit. What is attracting people to Bitmex is just the Futures and the x100 leverage and it's not the only one to have the feature.

One thing is sure, Bitmex being located in Seychelles and Hong Kong is surely not interested to be compliant with any jurisdiction

In Japan, they knew the advantages of bot trading, so they created quite a lot of bots and that made Bitmex exchange quite a lot of losses in trading.

Bots don't do anything harmful, it's rather the opposite and helps the platform to make more money. (the platform use bot itself by the way)
Banks use bots too if it was a damage for the finance they'd be shut down already.

At the same time, I see @Chlotide is now in the top 3 while she joined the team after me Shocked @Chlotide, what machine are you using?

I have a cheap old relic of a gpu so most of the heavy lifting is done by my cpu, intel 9600k Smiley

Recently installed the new Ubuntu release as dual boot and have not installed f@h on linux yet. Will do that in the next few days. Did iasenko catch up? :p

I see...
Iasenko is just behind you but halfway with the credits. I checked the stats to see who's active and I noticed some persons join teams after team, they participated in over 20 teams. I wonder what's the reason behind it. Are they trying to play Coinjoin? Cheesy

We're 5 persons left.
2908  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2020 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: May 03, 2020, 08:09:46 AM
Update:
Popped up in my RSS, Bitmixer-io.com. Added to my scam list, because... well, it's a scam.
And it uses Bitmixer.io theme to fool people with the old mixer Bitmixer.io closed long ago. As usual, always check the domain name extension and use search engines
2909  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-05-01] Twitter Starts Shock War With Bitcoin And Crypto on: May 02, 2020, 05:17:30 PM
It happened to me long ago, I used a trick I knew with their advertising platform and guess what? With a VCC loaded with bitcoins  Cheesy

Later they suspended my 7 years old account with no warning. I was so upset since it was a moneymaker for me, with 4 digit numbers monthly.
It took me almost 2 years to get it back with an excuse email explaining their algorithm flagged my account as spam wrongly..

I wouldn't say it's war, if you remember 3-4 years back we had a wave of people suspended for posting about crypto, I believe their algorithm is often drunk

No there is no way unless you have access to the ad network logs or own all the websites using it. But if the visitor doesn't generate an earning you can deduce he did it on another website. it won't help you by the way.

Either you find another audience or use another network
2911  Other / Meta / Re: Is this not really paid bumping and encourage for spamming ? on: May 01, 2020, 09:32:05 PM
It should be forgiven, mistakes happen to everyone. It's not a big issue especially if it's fixed quickly.
Otherwise, half of the forum members could be red-tagged (for necroposting, not posting in the right board, etc)
People are rude without reason sometimes
2912  Economy / Economics / Re: Get ready for more tax. Save your BTC! on: May 01, 2020, 08:39:14 PM
I would rather pay more taxes (at least it means I'm still alive) than die. In my country, they say the most effective solution to the debt is economic growth. The government is betting on economic recovery but the problem is the activity will really start again in several months, not immediately, in 2021 we will still be in the crisis

After the 2008 crisis, they increased the taxes but they decreased it also just before. I don't know if it's the best solution but better than nothing, what could we do without it.

No doubt
People should know a website claiming to be a registered company means nothing. It costs $25 to register a company in the UK. This one seems to be a recycled company btw. I created an account and in fact, it's a pure HYIP, they also use an HYIP script.

Qu'avez-vous mis dans Intitulé de compte ? Je n'ai pu trouver cette information nulle part. J'ai mis compte simple.

2916  Local / Débutants / Re: Transaction en attente on: May 01, 2020, 05:03:58 PM
2917  Economy / Economics / Re: Anybody here trying to live bankless? on: May 01, 2020, 04:22:12 PM
I did it for 3 months by using a BTC prepaid card. Difficult to do something else as long the shops don't accept Bitcoin as a payment means. And while it may look "bankless", it isn't in reality, I mean we still make use of a3rd party (Visa/Mastercard)

You may find yourself limited in its use, for example, to pay the recurring payments (for water, electricity, landlord, insurance, etc). As it's usually paid with a bank transfer, it's extremely difficult or impossible to do otherwise.
Ok for the groceries at the supermarket, ATMs but other than that. Same sometimes if you want to book a hotel, rent a car, you may have difficulties.

I'm virgin with stablecoins because I'm not interested in, and the volatility isn't something that worried me. I loaded only what I need and used it the same hour. It's like with exchanges, you don't store a lot of money in, just what is needed.

2918  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List of P2P/no-KYC exchanges on: May 01, 2020, 03:46:59 PM
@bct_ail

This happens more frequently to banks and the damage is much greater. When it's an exchange, it can be 100k-200k or more, but when it's a bank, it's immediately a few million customers. Capital One data breach alone concerned 100 million clients.

The banks aren't going to be shouting about it in the streets, of course. Often we learn about it from cyber-security sites or similar. You can easily find dozens of articles on this subject.

"Okay. I have never read anything about that before. At least here in Germany, I have never read anything about it. It would actually be in the press. But I think I will do some research."
If I remember correctly the Deutsche Bank had a problem last year.

i think KYC rightnow really important because that mean the exachange follow the rule , also most of em are really hugh exchange with hugh of token listed

Just LOL, you were really desperate?

2920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does mean "halving" actually? on: May 01, 2020, 02:35:37 PM
It's like if your boss says "I was paying you $20 per hour, but starting from the next week you will be paid $10"

To make it simple, miners receive a reward every time they mine a block, at the beginning they received 50 BTC per block. With the years passing and the previous halving the reward was reduced, with the next event, it will be 6.25 BTC.

With Bitcoin the 'pay rate' (the miners' reward) changes every 210 000 blocks, this change is what we call "halving"

You can find literally thousands of  explanation on search engines
