2901  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Forecast by Goldman Sachs on: January 14, 2022, 02:20:06 PM
Nah, this is just another forecast not to be taken seriously, I mean the one making the forecast in one of the biggest bank in the world. So it's difficult to trust them, and we all know that most of the time when we heard about this predictions coming from institutions, it means that the price could go down very hard and there are people that is going to manipulate it for their own benefits, just saying.
2902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 14, 2022, 01:38:08 PM

If they will push this through, I still see Casimero to win the fight and that could be a great way for him to challenge Inoue, though for some medical reason this match was postponed right? Hoping that they can finally settle this since Casimero is slowly losing his fans because of the current situation. If its just a pure trash talk, I don’t think Casimero vs Inoue will push through as well, better to sign the contract now.

The fact that Casimero fans are already looking forward to see him inside the ring fighting against Inoue but currently this ordered fight by WBO against Butler still on pending, I think this man should focus first in his scheduled and ordered fight before his team asks for a match with Inoue. I don't think if it is their intention to hype the game but yeah due to postponement of this fight I don't think so that Casimero vs. Inoue will be possible the soonest. I hope Casimero get well soon and make this fight happen and win this fight so we as a fan could see possibilities that Casimero vs. Inoue has some shade of light.
I think Inoue's camp knows better, maybe they just wanted to hype the Inoue fight. But for sure they will focus on the task as hand, to beat Butler first.

He is mandated by the WBO to fight Butler after they failed on the first scheduled fight that was cancelled due to his medical condition. So hopefully this fight will push through this year with no more delays.
2903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 14, 2022, 01:12:03 PM
The events surrounding his travel and COVID results is just too vague, the incorrect filling
of the immigration papers is also something unbelievable and also I wonder if what he said
in the interview at the airport with border force was different to his statement from a
couple of days ago?

He's tried to lie his way in, and then lied to cover it all up.

It does lend weight to the theory that whenever he appears to get "injured" at critical moments in a match, and throws his opponent's concentration out, and then miraculously makes an instant 100% recovery moments later, that it's all an act. More lies and deception, just to get what he wants.

He's one of the greatest tennis players ever, arguably the greatest... he shouldn't have to stoop to these tricks to get into a country, and he should have to do the same in matches, either.

I would liken it to the cheating which has poisoned soccer,  feigning injury, fans would
probably call it gamesmanship. Prove your greatness with your skill, not your acting abilities.

He is definitely a controversial figure, his fake injuries, his bouncing the ball 15 times
before every serve, his disqualification from the US GS, setting up an independent
players body with minimal support and now this, it all had to come to a head, unfortunately
in a big way like this which really affects his future (short term)
But this is will probably go down in the history books as probably a cheating scandal on his part and will add to Djokovic being a controversial figure in tennis and could be talk about for many years and could affect his name for the discussions of greatest tennis player of all time.

Unless he really gets to beat the record of Federer, but still his name will be synonymous with kind of scandal in AO 2022.
2904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 14, 2022, 12:42:41 PM
This fight, I believe that Spence has the edge, so I like to take the KO as Ugas style in boxing is very predictable, Spence can find a way to hurt him.

I hope this would not be the same as the fight of Ugas vs Pacman where everyone bet on Pacman. Again, this is the biggest fight of Ugas, and Spence will have a comeback fight after an eye surgery, so a lot of things to consider here but at the end of the day, we still choose to bet on the favorite which is Spence.
Ugas has a solid chin I believed, so it's not easy to get a KO on him unless Spence really fight a vulnerable spot and Ugas was caught off guard with that punch.

So far Spence has two comebacks already, first from his car accident that he survived, and the beat Porter. Now after his eye operation it will be Ugas. So two tough comeback fights for him, luckily he is still on his prime years that's why he was able to recover very quickly.
2905  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: January 13, 2022, 01:53:23 PM
I wonder when the price of Bitcoin will reach $ 100k +. Because at present the approval of bitcoin is increasing in different countries. And different countries based cryptocurrencies keep coming to the market. From that point of view, it is expected that the price of Bitcoin will increase the most. But in the next few years, the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise, so long-term Bitcoin will continue to improve. What is your opinion?
Even the market sentiment is positive in long run, the short term sentiment is "undecided". The active traders are always not ready to give up any of market movement which must be the driving force of fluctuations and long term holders who make use of dips are always contributing in long term higher values to be happening.

When active traders will be taking same kind of decision which is about having a new ATH then we can see $100k to be tested in this year. In my view, $100k may happen in few months or by end of this year as well.
It's really hard to say at this point whether we are going to hit $100k or not. It was supposedly at the end of the last year, but everything turns into sour, as the market goes into the opposite.

So what more this year? the market is really undecided so short term, I don't see any bounce back and it will be a hard grind to even set a new all time high this year. Because for the fact that we have reach it already in 2021, not once but twice already.
2906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 13, 2022, 12:57:15 PM
if we will have a poll on this match, i believe spence jr will still be the favourite here by bettors.

Favorite to win the match or the usual favorite as interest?

I don't see most bettors will put a stake on Spence Jr. if the odds will be around @1.5 unless willing to take the risks since to them, it's a sure win for Spence. Even I'm rooting for Spence to win, I want to see the odds first and if Ugas has big odds, I might consider placing a bet for him. Who knows.

Can't believe his eye injury will be fully healed in March or April unless it's not a big issue before but just take it as a reason for skipping Pacquiao's fight.

If it will not drop below 1.50, I think it's a good odds for Spence knowing that he is a great fighter who can take down Ugas for sure. As of now, we have no idea of the odds but one thing is sure is that Spence will be listed as the favorites to win the fight, so let's just hope an attractive odds for Spence so we will bet right away.

Of course, that 1.50 is still very attractive for bettors who are trusting the undefeated boxer to win here. Ugas is not really at the level of Spence and Crawford, and since these two are the top champions in their division, there's no way Ugas who beat the old Pacman will beat either of the two.

If those who believed that Spence can outright win, they yeah why not, I'm read before that there are even some gambling whales willing to bet on 1.1-1.2 odds with huge money in Las Vegas in a boxing match.

So probably we will see a lot of those whales who are going to pour money on Spence because that is a good odds for them.

But for the majority of us, who also loves to bet on the underdog, maybe we will take a closer look at the odds and put our money on the best odds we know that will give us a good pay.
Not me though, I'm not a whale so I won't take that ML bet.

And as you have said, underdog, that the clear message here, Ugas has done it before with Manny, he was the clear underdog on that fight but he went thru he needle and win.

But if we think that Spence can beat him, then we will look for better odds for Spence, maybe per round or by decision in the end.
2907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 13, 2022, 12:01:32 PM
The draw is ready: https://ausopen.com/draws#!mens-singles

Medvedev is not going to be much happy with his draw. Likely to face Kyrgios in 2nd round. Followed by Hubert in 3rd round. Its going to cost early in a long tournament.
Zverev must be extremely happy with his first 3 matches. First Altmaier then most likely followed by Millman in a 2nd and L.Harris in 3rd.
Djokovic starts against fellow Serbian Kecmanovic. Most likely followed by T.Paul in 2nd and Sonego in 3rd. Optimal draw for his part.
Nadal is going to have some really hard matches throughout the tournament as he starts with Giron. Most likely followed by Kokkinakis in 2nd, and Khachanov in 3rd.

I don't think that both Kyrgios and Hubert will be a threat to Medvedev at this point, Kyrgios is not that active although he will have the home court advantage although I've read that he has covid too.

So let's see what will be the final result of the draw, @cryptofrka draw a interesting point in his post, they should have delayed it until the Djokovic case is close.

^The draw seems quite interesting. Zverev seems like he got a comparatively easier matchup and I hope he will do good in all of them.

I also don't think that  Kyrgios and Hubert will post that much of a threat to him, Medvedev. If he's calm and composed and plays by the books, I don't see a reason for him to struggle against them.

I'm hoping Djokovic also will go a long way in this tournament but after all those controversies, will he be mentally stable to have the winning mentality like before?

With all those things happening in these few days, I think it might somehow affect Djokovic in his matches. But also he's a professional and he will try his best to not let these things affect him in-game.

I think Djokovic has been tested many times throughout his career so I doubt that he will be affected mentally with all the drama surrounding him in the AO.

And if ever he will play in this tournament and never got the love from the crowd it's understandable. But I doubt that it will have a negative effect on him. On the contrary, athletes like Djokovic thrive in this kind of environment and they love when the crowd is against them.
2908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 13, 2022, 11:05:17 AM
Today's game is unbelievable as most of us who bet on the Sixers and the Bulls to win lost.

I guess that's how the games turns unpredictable, I mean the Sixers is really playing very good and have their own winning streak and it seems that they have move on with the Simmons drama. But then again the Hornets win against the Bucks brings them into another momentum. The same with the Bulls, we thought that the Nets is somewhat messy and not in full strength but then Kyrie plays and Harden as well.

Hornets still have that momentum while Sixers might be exhausted. Oh well it's just another bad night for both Bulls and Sixers today.

I just noticed the offensive of Hayward he's bringing his worth to this team, remember that big contract personally i see him proving

that he worth it, Hornets really made a good one bringing him to help Ball and the rest of the Hornets franchise..
For me Hayward is the leader of the Hornets team, maybe he is taking his time though and allowing his other team mates to shine. But if he is on the night, he is hard to stop and it seems that he is on his prime just like when he was still in Utah. So it could be unexpected results that they have won against the Sixers, but if you look at how deep the team is right now, you can say that this win is no fluke.
2909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 13, 2022, 10:25:13 AM
This is one hell of a game with the Bulls vs the Nets. This is the latest I can remember a Bulls game starting (9PM local time). The Bulls are playing good basketball but every time they manage to get within two or tie it up the Nets come right back. This trio of Harden, Durant and Kyrie is just ridiculously good. The Bulls seem to keep leaving Durant open. They are having a hard time guarding this big 3, often doubling on one of them then it opens another up. Let’s go bulls!
The Bulls lost in their home and ended their winning streak as they lost against the Nets by 26 points.
That 3rd quarter domination by the Nets and the 18-0 run by them is just insane. Like you are top 1 in the conference and you will allow an 18-0 run against your opponent :X.

Well, the Nets are now 2-1 at the road when the Big Three is playing. 4 players of the Nets scored 20 points and Irving only scored 9 points. Its the first time though that I see their Center, Sharpe but he contributed in the team on that game with 20 points.

I saw a post in Facebook if I'm not mistaken saying that they will allow Kyrie Irving to play on their home but they will have to pay a $5,000 fine per game to the NY City. Is this true? What can you say about this?
Well if that is the case, then the Nets management has a big decision to make. We know that $5k is not that much for them, but the accumulation though, maybe it's not worth for them, maybe it will in the long run.

I think with this win they are back now on top of the division?

Nonetheless, it's a big psychological win for them, they have been in somewhat disarray lately so this is a big win for the team in general. Against the top team in East division and their potential contender for the number 1 spot (and homecourt advantage in the playoffs).
2910  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Deep before the Raise on: January 12, 2022, 02:59:22 PM
But we have twice reach all time high last year isn't it? So that's a sign that we might have reach the top and we are entering a long bearish market, just saying.

Anyhow, it's just the start of the year and anything can happen, the price could go down deep to $30k or reaches a new all time high of around $70k++. So far though we are above $40k and I think we have to thank the support levels because it is still holding.
Yes, the resistance in $40k is something to be appreciated. That just means there are still holders out there who believes in Bitcoin technology. It could be us in this forum or outside with whales not being triggered by any bear market. They will just keep it no matter what and it's a good sign.
If this price goes back to $20k then I think that's when the real panic will begin. But, there are also those who will take advantage of it and buy as much as possible while the price is cheap. We will never know and they could be doing it now.
It is just how we make preparation for the coming bullish signature. People are buying now which I believe this could help the market to recover. As if this will able to sustain and no huge selling happens (or hearing the FUDs) that is likely we see the price increase.
Anyhow, the market will surely gain such a trend after the dip. We've been seeing this several times and probably just the same scenario to look at. In fact, we're making into a positive direction as the price tends to move up by now.
And I still or shall I can we can appreciate those buys specially retail investors who keep the price above $40k and it seems we have a little rally going as we are above to hit $44k again? Hopefully this is not going to be a bear trap because it's going to be hard to swallow when the price goes below $40k again and we might see some panic in the market if the price hit that level.
2911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Volume measured in $? on: January 12, 2022, 02:09:59 PM
Obviously, we are still measuring everything is $ value, every crypto has it's fiat equivalent right?

So I guess I would say that this is just normal for every financial market as we all know that $$$ is still the world currency so everything is base on it. You can do multiple conversions and can measure your profit in your local currency, but the base is still the $$$.
2912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 12, 2022, 01:09:27 PM
.
Not sure about Donaire though, it seems that he is fine with staying at 118 lbs and we all know that he is not getting any younger to bouncing off in weight might be a big problem for him in the future.
Donaire get a hard time on the higher weight division although he get a title but doesnt last long, and eventually decided to go to lower weight division where he dominate before which he want to get it again but with inoue reigning i dont know if he can do it. Thats true that age affects a lot so lets see how it will go.
Yeah, it comes with age, in my opinion, and since Inoue is still very young, then he can definitely move up in weight and win some belts.

In the case of Donaire, I guess the era when he went up was not good, I mean the timing itself, there are a lot of great boxers that time that's why he losses some going North. so he prefers in this weight category that he dominates even at his age.
2913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 12, 2022, 12:04:36 PM

Well, if they will trade him then at least it will not be on the 76ers because he isn't fit there (at least for me) unless he wants to be a bench player.

He won't go to the bench, sixers would be stupid enough if they will not utilize his talent, this guy could do effectively both on offense and defense so he is also a major loss for the Hawks if they will trade him, remember his contribution in the playoffs, he is so valuable as he is not afraid to play with the bigs of any team.
I do agree. Someone will need to fill the spot of Tobias Harris if ever he will be part of the trade. Not the hole left by Ben Simmons because 76ers already got used to playing without him.
But regarding the comparison, yes Collins has the upper hand because of his shooting skills. Embiid won't even have a problem with him because he can play both off guard/small forward, plus they need more big men if ever he needs the breather.
Looking at the 76ers roster, their players under the rim are Embiid, Drummond, and Niang. Korkmaz is being forced to help with the rebound although we know he is best being an outside defender. They badly need that forward spot that could rebound and maybe shoot at a high percentage to make space for Embiid to do his magic in the paint.
I would be happy if the trade that we are looking for will eventually come into reality. Ben Simmons has been laid off for a while, he need a new team so him and the 76ers will be able to move on and everyone will be happy. If he will play with the Hawks, then so be it, as long as both teams are satisfied on the trade, everything should happen ASAP.
I think the Sixers has move on without Ben and it shows that the are very successful as they are one of the teams who are into a winning streak right now. And it's obvious that it is Embid-centric team and not Ben. But yeah, if Simmons + Harris is traded to Atlanta so be it, Collins has gone to the public that he is not happy with his role right now wit the Hawks so come Jan 15, we will find out if the trade has push through.
2914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: January 12, 2022, 11:28:18 AM
^^ Ok that is good news for boxing fans and as we all know that two fights are really classic and as you have said, it's 1-1 and this third fight will settle the score.

And as per sportsbet.io, the odds are the following:

Estrada - 1.85
Gonzalez - 1.85

Interesting that the odds is 50/50 as well.

This is one of the fights that i'm waiting for. Yes, for me it is exciting to watch and betting wise, you can get value of your money even if you only bet on the moneyline.

Though i'm a fan of Roman Gonzales but seeing him performed against Estrada last time, i don't think he would win unless something happens or Gonzales would hurt Estrada somewhere in the middle rounds.

This is just my observation, seems to me that Gonzales is on the down hill of his career while Estrada is peaking.
Right, as much as we don't want to say this, but he seems to be way past his prime right now and we can clearly see it during the second fight. He is a volume puncher no doubt, but the punch output is not there anymore, I mean no power and that's why Estrada took the second half of the fight and eventually win the match. So it will be the same output in the 3rd fight. We might see some glimpse of old Gonzalez, but then Estrada will take his punches and then stroll for a victory.

~ CZ should be hiring more lawyers and begin using Monero hehehe. Remind me of this thread 3 years from now.
He's definitely aware that tax authorities are after him and his exchange. I'm pretty sure he has the top lawyers and accountants handling his finances. The good thing about him (I think) is he doesn't seem to run away from any investigation but we'll see once it gets more serious.
And how he build his empire in just matter of 4 years is really amazing.

But I think CZ is not that stupid, he probably has that in mind already when Binance starting to take off in 2018-2020 and could have consulted many tax lawyers from the US or China to help him out.

And remember that he is trying to clean up his name if preparation of an IPO if I'm not mistaken. So he is clearing the way and ironing things out.
2916  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Deep before the Raise on: January 11, 2022, 02:03:13 PM
Bitcoin has continued to follow a similar pattern in its market recovery and stability, if you have focused more attention on the recent bitcoin price movement you will agree with me the fact that when Bitcoin falls back to the 30k region in three early hours of Monday it was the market lowest price for a long time take Bitcoin chat in march 2021 market for a close study since from that time till now Bitcoin has always followed the same pattern in it market movement once it breaks down to 30k region the next bull is around the corner and a great chance to buy the deep.
The year 2022 is showing the sign of following the same pattern when the price recovered back to 42k and since then have been on a positive mode that will trigger a massive bull recovery to a new all-time high.

If you look at the distribution of points between the two teams, the Grizzlies did a great job compared to the Lakers.
For the Grizzlies, they have the following playing with a big contribution.
Jackson Jr. 21
Anderson  14
Morant 16
Bane 23
Konchar 12
Clarke 14..
While the LA Lakers, only a few players scored a double-digit.
James 35
Reaves 16
Horton-Tucker 13
Ellington 16

I don't know how you can predict that it will be a even matchup when Grizzlies has been facing tougher opponents and winning while Lakers have a winning streak, it was against a low key team.
It was Lebron and Monk again but against a very good team, it will not be enough. It will take a lot of team chemistry and consistency which the Lakers lacks of.

No, what I meant was Grizzlies have a very good squad that plays together, but the Lakers have very good individual talent. That's why I thought that we'll get to see an even matchup. But once again it's proved that teamplay is more important than having individual better players. Because if one of those players fails to perform, it will heavily impact the result of the game unlike playing a team-oriented game.
Ok I got your point man, and yeah, I have to agree with you, it just shows that the games is more important than individual talent, even the greatest of them all, Michael Jordan acknowledge that.

So if you look at the Grizzlies, Ja Morant didn't score more than he need to, but still they won lopsided because most of his team mates scored double digits.
2919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 11, 2022, 12:18:34 PM
Grizzlies seem unstoppable at the moment and their next game is very interesting as they'll be facing the Warriors. I wonder what the odds would be at since both teams look solid.

For my pick I went with the Sixers -9.5 @1.80, Houston playing on a back to back and their losses are usually by 10 or more, we could see another convincing win from the Sixers since they're on a tear these past few weeks.

Good pick mate, Sixers are now leading 15 points against the Rockets.

Well I pick Bucks against the Hornets live betting. The Hornets are leading almost all the way of the game but the Bucks are coming back in the 4th so it will be very interesting game and I'm thinking that it will be very close and it could go into overtime.

Fell short only 4 points, but the Hornets managed to hold that lead.

With Sixers vs Rockets, it's just a repeated outcome. Sixers wins with 20 points fully covered the handicap for those who
bet for them. They dominated the whole quarter and did not give any opportunity for the rockets to come close. They've
won each quarter and complete the domination.
Yes, it was just another repeat performance by the Hornets and it seems that the Bucks always felt short when they are facing Charlotte.

On the other hand, Sixers has no problem with the Rockets and they too are now hot and with a good winning streak. So good for those who bet on the Sixers with double digit lead as it sure covered nicely and assured already of a win entering the 4th quarter.
2920  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2022, 03:48:10 PM
What is your opinion?

I mean, you're in Bitcointalk, a Bitcoin forum. What kind of opinions do you expect? Of course people here would be bullish lol. 🤷‍♂️

His next question should then be:  What do you think about the bullishness about Bitcoin even though it’s really bearish?  Is this a normal thing in Bitcointalk?  Cheesy

Anyway BTC’s price movements should be fun to watch during the next couple of days.  Switch to 5 min chart and enjoy the volatility.  It’s somewhat a clash for gains between the longs and the shorts.
Fun but at the same time it could bring some stressed to us as the price is going to be right in the middle with no clear winner, which means there's no profit as a short day trader.

But this is just the start of the year, but as I have said previously, looks bleak because we haven't able to break that $50k'ish last December. A clear indication of a bearish cycle to me. So it will hurt a lot for those who haven't experience a bear market in bitcoin trading.
