Interesting... I was updating my excel sheet today and the calculation shows, that thanks to the compound interest, The amount of BTX that I have today will be doubled if the airdrop ends 1st week in may. That means, even if price goes to 5 USD after the airdrops, I am still not at loss.
greedy devs think pink paint will overcome reason? :\ pfft

This coin is in the doldrums price-wise, because the mixing functionality was turned off. Is there any way we could re-enable this? For instance, can't the masternode budget pay liquidity providers to mix their coins? Or can't masternodes be made to mix a pool of coins belonging to the masternode?
We have us decided for the segwit implamation and the new codebas >0.14. We are maybe the first masternode coin with lighting later. Kind Regards Christian centralized segwit nodes = just what uncle sam ordered ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) lmao

new ASIC for SiaCoin is coming:
Just after the announcement of their new DragonMint B29 Blake256 ASIC Miner for Decred (DCR), Halong Mining has also started taking orders for a new DragonMint B52 Blake2b ASIC Miner for Siacoin (SC) or other Blake2b POW coins. The hashrate of the new ASIC miner is cited as 3.83 THS for Siacoin mining at 1380 Watt of power usage, so a serious device in terms of hasrate compared to other alternative options from Bitmain A3 (already available) and Obelisk SC1 (upcoming). Where the Halong Mining DragonMint B52 Blake2b ASIC Miner is suffering is the price, although almost half of the Decred miner they started selling, the B52 Blake2b ASIC miner is still pricey at $5549 USD. Even when considering that the price includes a power supply and free shipping it is pretty steep for an ASIC miner that can be used for just one cryptocurrency for the moment. Halong Mining should start shipping these new miners by the end of the month, so you can expect a pretty big jump in term of the total network hashrate for mining Siacoin.
So now we are expecting the second batch od A3s, the first od Halong, and the Obelisks (when? unknown)
I am expecting a big jump of value
Personally, I don't think that ASICs are good for mineable coins, in particular Sia. If devs have good plans for difficulty adjustments, ASIC will become useless. Unfortunately, most of current coins don't have this ability. SIA also reportedly has a safe switch that will make select ASICs useless if the community wants to do so. Now its not a real problem, but who knows what may happen in the future.... However the mining manufacturers make the money so they are happy ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) the company who made siacoin pulled a butterflylabs pre-order game people fell for it..now bitmain chinese take over coin..what's the point to put good money after bad?...sell more ICO siatokens?..pfft :\ see you at 50 satoshi weee

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still bouncing along in the $9k range I see... currently $9200USD/$11783CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Ho hum. How long did the withdrawal symptoms last, and how bad were they?
I was pretty angry and irritable for a solid 6-8 weeks before I started chilling out. I guess I'm lucky. I quit a 2-pack-a-day habit 33 years ago almost by accident. I caught such a nasty cold/flu/pneumonia I was in bed for 3 days barely getting up to re-hydrate myself and go to the can. When my fever broke and my mind cleared, I realized I hadn't had a smoke in 3 days. I didn't need to quit. I just needed to not start smoking again. Quitting is not an action. Smoking is. All you need to do to quit is to not do anything. To smoke you need to acquire tobacco and fire, light the cigarette and inhale. Unless you're actively smoking, you've already quit. Just don't start again. I suffered no withdrawal symptoms. Maybe I had them when I was in my feverish delirium and wasn't aware of them. I also didn't suck out like a whiny little crybaby and totally avoid tobacco smoke. I continued to mix a little tobacco in the occasional hash doob. I chose to sit in the smoking sections of smoking-segregated restaurants and in the smoking cars of trains. I found that non-smoking sections were full of anti-smoking fussbudgets and I find secondhand stress far more offensive than secondhand smoke. The smoking sections generally have a higher caliber of people. I also found that people take their annoying brats to the non-smoking areas. Quitting is easy. Just don't smoke. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

The system in some ways is closer to MN than regular staking, though really it is unique and unlike either.
I really don't see what could be done about the ticket price. It is determined by demand, just like the price of the coin itself. Too low prices would mean very high returns, which in turn would raise demand (and ticket price).
The only annoying thing was wild yet predictable fluctuations in prices due to the previous price algorithm. That led to all tickets being bought in one every 3 or 4 periods, leading to absurd fees. Thankfully that was fixed last year
Again I dont understand the technicals behind it so please educate me if possible. After the new ticket algo the price fluctuations stabilized this was a good development for sure. But since then the price of one ticket rised but so did the price of decred. So while back in the days most people could afford buying a ticket now its already more then $5000 to buy 1 ticket which may take 3 months to be picked. This will be more in the future although I read somewhere there will be a limit to where it can go in practice. But for me the question remains why isnt it possible to reduce this by a factor 10 or even 100 and reduce the reward also by this factor? So people can buy more tickets for the same amount so they can get closer to this 28day average and make it also possible for people to participate who dont have 5000 (or maybe more in the future) to spend for a single ticket. Dont get me wrong I think this is a better system than MN and way better than normal staking but I feel like for new people it will be difficult to participate and have a voice now with these prices let alone in the future when prices are even higher. So I was hoping there could be something to change that so that in the future not only the 'elite' will have a say in decred like is happening now with dash for example. Maybe(probably) its unavoidable and these ticket prices have to be this 'high' for some technical reason I dont understand but I wanted to bring it up even if its only for my own understanding agreed the SEC needs to step in and stop scammers like DECRED (bittrex insiders) this is no way to take advantage of the FOSS community i want to see someone with balls stand up to this corporate greed>_> this willfull ignorance is not what satoshis' envision :\ fale#

The entire Alt coin market is taking quiet a beating right now. Really nice price for buying. FLO development is slow but I think at some point it will moon. What is going on currently as far as development & roadmap ?
Segwit is currently very close to release with the floData field (which is our refactored name for tx-comment). There have been a few people asking about what they can do to help with FLO development, right now, the SDK is the main focus of our dev efforts. See this thread for more information about how to contribute to the SDK or other FLO-related projects: https://forum.flo.cash/t/mas-rapido-que-esso/108/3As always, you can follow us on telegram and ask questions directly there too: https://t.me/floblockchainnice!~ ya looking good development never quits on FLO !! :-D

With all new growth will surface more defects... It's how you handle the defects that counts! I give the team credit for tackling the problem and leading us forward to a better product...
No, having so many "defects" with a basic cloned wallet is not normal. Only the shittiest of shitcoiners are capable of that. Give the "team" credit where credit is actually due. My experience with ION has been nothing but excellent. And today ION is well hold during the global correction of the cryptocurrency market.
Right. Never mind that nobody can deposit IONs to dump them. You paycoiners never cease to amaze me with your pretzel logic. Us IONiners don't worry about dumping their IONs... the value of the coin remains steady and continues to prosper. We have come a long way to see the Ionomy Vision expand and grow.. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fimages-na.ssl-images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F61DFrnGT36L._SX342_QL70_.jpg&t=663&c=T_LND2L2LzvANg) The night Garza went to jail :-D #justice_occupy_paycoin
