For only a week got something interesting how much would be the actual value of this bounty in terms of btc? Since you are just offering 1 week campaign is this just a trial or there would be sets of bounties after?
This is Bolenum's last week before they go on sale, the wanted to get a last minute campaign out.

You should make different payment for different forum ranks.

I guess you will not have success paying 0.06 ETH, in tokens, with Hero and Legendary Members. Everyone with a decent posr quality is getting 2-4x more in other campaigns.
Yes, the budget for this is small, I am only managing it.

2922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin spending on: August 07, 2017, 09:32:18 PM
Hello,

I’ve made some nice amount of BTC and am looking for a quick and secure way to trade and use it, mostly in the UK.

Any ideas?

That really depends on how much you want to spend. Is the bitcoin that you have, a lot and therefore it supports you and you consider it your primary job. If you do I would consider using local bitcoin to sell you bitcoins for a bank transfer and tnen it is easily spendable.

If this is just a hobby or you consider it a part time job, you should consider selling a portion of your bitcoin and then keeping the rest as an investment and selling when prices go up.

2924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with cash from sales on: August 07, 2017, 08:12:17 AM
Hi guys, what do you guys normally do with the monies? keep it in exchange for future purchases or transfer it to your bank account.

And if the latter do you then put it in the fixed deposits for stable interest rates?

Well the monies in this question, are the monies that are in question here, monies from selling your Bitcoin when it is high? If so here is what I do:

I keep all my money from selling Bitcoin when it is high in a special account that is nicknamed "For Bitcoin". All of the money I make off Bitcoin, I keep in that address and wait until bitcoin drops again this month is a good example.

Had around 10K to invest, sold a couple of Bitcoin a while back and also sold some Bitcoin I earned from signature campaigns. With that funds I bought 5 Bitcoin during when it was only 2k. After 2 or 3 days when Bitcoin recovered to 2.7K, I sold 2.5 of those bitcoins. Now since the price is at 3.2K, I sold 3.5 bitcoin and keeping the rest of it and holding until a price dump or another huge pump.
2925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to open a bitcoin wallet completely anonymously? on: August 07, 2017, 07:33:13 AM
Actually super simple. Do you want a wallet that doesn't link to anything, even if the information is false, and how safe do you want the wallet to be. Anyways, here are some suggestions:

-Electrum: This wallet is a desktop wallet that I would definitely recommend. It is super simple and also provides a safe option to store your Bitcoin. One good feature is that it also gives adjustable fees when sending Bitcoin.

-Web wallets, they are easy to use but not as safe as Electrum, you also need to make a fake email address for this.

-Ledgerwallet or trezor. They are hardware wallets and you don't need any personal information to use them.
2926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 07, 2017, 03:26:58 AM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

Of course that is possible, even though bitcoin introduced blockchain technology, there are heaps of icos being made and some of them definitely have the potential to become really big.
Modern technology is getting more advanced by the second and it won't be long until what was considered revolutionary in 2010, is not considered obsolete now.
Maybe bitcoin will be like Yahoo in the future and other companies will take over, but now it is the golden age of bitcoin.
2927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York City Employee Disciplined For Mining Bitcoin at Work on: August 06, 2017, 11:05:13 PM
LOL, the desktop at work are super slow and I'm guessing he didn't actually make that much. At least he didn't have to pay electricity costs, but just seems useless to me. If I was his boss i would probably fire him in a second, but he may have a bad wage and you can't blame him for wanting to earn more.
2928  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will you do? on: August 06, 2017, 09:23:49 PM
hi, what will you do? If the bitcoin price is suddenly cheap

What level of cheap are we talking about here, like 2000 USD cheap or bitcoin is going to die cheap. Well I'll just talk about 2k cheap. If bitcoin ever dropped to 2k again like around 3 weeks back, I would wait until it stopped dropping and had a stable price for a hour or 2 then I would probably buy 10-15 Bitcoin. These bitcoin, some of them i would keep as an investment and the rest of of the bitcoin, I would just sell when prices go up, like right now.

Dont think bitcoin will ever drop that low again though, it will be a huge drop anyway.
2929  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? on: August 06, 2017, 12:10:37 PM
Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? I am confused to buy bitcoin now when it's value is too high.

Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and one of the first cryptos to introduce a new ideology of money and also new peer to peer blockchain technology which at the time, was probably considered as revolutionary.

The important thing about Bitcoin and what makes it so volatile is the fact that it is a decentralized currency, which means that it is now controlled by any banks or the government. The price of Bitcoin depends on the community and that is why the price of it often goes up and down, also known as being volatile.
2930  Economy / Exchanges / Re: coins.ph as Bitcoin wallet on: August 05, 2017, 12:29:03 PM
Hi Guys! I I just want to hear out your thoughts about coins.ph as Bitcoin wallet. I am actually using coins.ph and this is the only Bitcoin wallet I am familiar with. I am wondering if I should switch into a better Bitcoin wallet or coins.ph is a good option already. If not, may you guys suggest other options that may be better or more convenient to use. I know there are a lot of other Bitcoin wallet suggestions and I am willing to try out the others as well. Thank you!

Well, it is an online wallet which usually means it is easily accessible and not that safe, I don't think you can set custom transactions fees in it also. The disadvantages of online wallets include them having access to your private keys, not you which means they can run away with all your bitcoin at all time.

For example, the wallet Tor wallet was an online wallet that turned scam a couple of weeks back. Since it was an online wallet the founders could just run away with all the Bitcoin and that's what they did. Even though coins.ph might look like it isn't a scam, it could easily turn into one. Please consider using more safer wallets such as desktop wallets or even better, hardware wallets.
2931  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Blows Past All Time High $3,000 Mark, Holders Rewarded on: August 05, 2017, 12:21:27 PM
After all the chaos of the past month, hodlers were rewarded Saturday with a huge surge in Bitcoin pricing. At press time, BTC was trading at $3,104, a new all time high. Reddit exploded with the news, filled with a number of funny GIFs showing the exuberance of the BTC marketplace.

Fear of the fork
Many analysts had changed their perspective on BTC after the news of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) fork was made public. There were those, however, who directed the public back to the fundamentals of BTC, encouraging hodlers to remain calm and not give into fear of value loss. It appears for today that they have been rewarded highly.

 Other coins
Litecoin (LTC) and Ethereum (ETH) were also up on the day, though nowhere near the substantial gains of BTC. Analysts have previously suggested that the fork was moving some out of other cryptocurrencies and that ETH especially was undervalued. The BTC increase also saw a correspondingly painful decrease for BCH, down nearly 25 percent as of press time.

One of the best reasons to hold. I have planned something for myself in which I set a goal for Bitcoin, in this case, it was 3.2K. Then when Bitcoin hits that price, I sell a certain percentage of my bitcoin for fiat currencies and wait until bitcoin drops again to replenish my Bitcoin supply. This time I sold 30 percent of my Bitcoin when it hit 3.2K and I am glad I did because it looks like Bitcoin is beginning to drop.

Bought a heap of Bitcoin when it was 2K and made some easy profit, I love holding.
2932  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC grow or less on: August 05, 2017, 12:03:38 PM
Hi! Do you have something information about grow Bitcoin or less on the next week, two weeks??

Regards All !

Well, Bitcoin is known for how unpredictable and volatile it is, so that would be hard. Price is at 3.2K now, and it dropped 50 dollars in the last 2 hours. Looks like Bitcoin price is slowly falling. It took Bitcoin 6 hours to go from 2.7K to 3.2K and now it looks like the price is slowly returning. I would expect it to hit 3000 USD in the next 5 hours and then stay there for at least 2 days.

I would say Bitcoin, wouldn't drop as low as 2.5K or pump up to 3.6K these 2 weeks, lets wait and see what happens.
2933  Economy / Services / Re: what kind of Service/s can I offer in bitcointalk.org? on: August 05, 2017, 11:45:58 AM
Good Day!
In more than an hour browsing, reading and searching in this forum, Im "clueless" what can i offer to earn BTC...

I understand how to rank
how to get a signature campaign and pay-per-post
and newbie & member cant get that two...

Your junior member, but when you get into full member you can easily get into signature campaigns and when you become a senior member it will be even easier to get into signature campaigns. Just make like 10 posts a week and after a couple of weeks, you should be a full member and able to enroll in some decent signature campaigns that pay up to 0.0005 per post.

If you want to make some money now just offer your services as a freelancer or anything else in this section and you should be able to earn a decent amount, especially if you know web development or code.
2934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: May be a silly question, but it's been bugging me since getting into this. on: August 05, 2017, 11:02:06 AM
Well, there are more units of Bitcoin than just Bitcoin itself, for some smaller transactions people like to use mBTC, which are millibits. 1000 mBTC make up one Bitcoin, so using today's prices a burger would cost around 3-5 mBTC, seems better than 0.004 right. If you want to go even smaller there are uBTC (one millionth of a bitcoin) and satoshis which are 0.00000001BTC.

Don't think Bitcoin will be going mainstream anytime soon, we already have a pretty congested blockchain and if the whole world started using it a confirmation would take 2 hours to go through and everything would be slow.
2935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I make sure to not lose $ value in BTC? on: August 05, 2017, 10:47:29 AM
If you want a fix payout, just use fiat, it is more stable and popular than Bitcoin. If you don't need access to your salary weekly, I would just recommend keeping it in Bitcoin, especially with how high the prices are today, just today alone, Bitcoin has crossed the 3k mark and was pumped up to 3.2K. Here is what I would recommend doing this:

Set a specific amount, for when to sell at, say 3.5K and when Bitcoin reaches that amount you would sell around 50 percent of all your Bitcoin. Keep the rest as an investment, and sell that when Bitcoin goes even higher. That way you will always have fiat and Bitcoin.
2936  Economy / Economics / Re: Tech Giants: Above the Law on: August 05, 2017, 09:35:46 AM
Okay, so I was running through my subbed Youtube channels and came upon this video by Scott Galloway and it got me thinking. Should the taxes really be increased for these companies? I mean, many of them are not even creating content and making money out of our data and they still get taxed less than most other type of businesses.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auydnF-Qu_w

There are businesses that purely take commission, for example, escrows will take a fee of the transaction you make with them. It may seem easy to do, but it is needed, just like how taxes are needed or how these companies shouldn't be forced to pay higher tax rates. That is like making transactions fees higher for escrows, just because they are escrows. You need a reason to do so.

I think we are fine the way we are, no need to start screwing over companies by forcing them to pay more tax.
2937  Economy / Economics / Re: The Feds Are Terrified Of Cryptocurrencies... But They're Powerless To Stop Them on: August 05, 2017, 09:28:04 AM
The federal government is no match for innovation. This is something lawmakers have always known, and it is the reason state and federal regulations exist. But innovation, by its very nature, will always find a way around those regulations, resulting in the implementation of more regulations for creative minds to learn to evade — which they will. This results in the over-regulation we see in America today.

Nothing scares the government more than something it can’t control, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) revealed this week that it is terrified of cryptocurrencies — as well it should be. See, all those lawmakers and bureaucrats sitting around regulating everything depend on taxpayer money to pay their salaries so they can keep writing regulations. Since cryptocurrencies allow people to keep all of their money, this is a big problem for the lawmakers. Soon, people may even start to realize they can buy, sell, and trade freely without any government intervention. The horror.

Zerohedge

Why would they be afraid? They have the legal power and technology to prevent anyone from using Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency for the matter. They shouldn't be afraid of crypto currencies, the American government has already embraced them and legalized them for use in America. Instead of being afraid of Bitcoin, they should be working on how to use the blockchain to catch criminals who use Bitcoin, for example:

Say they have information on a transaction that is exactly 2.5 Bitcoin. They should look at the blockchain for any amount of transactions that add up to that number, and then they would have caught a criminal.
2938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of BTC still so high eventhough BCH is going up on: August 05, 2017, 06:21:38 AM
Since the demand for Bitcoin is still pretty high, the price is high. Bitcoin cash has split from Bitcoin and the goal was to move people from Bitcoin to Bitcoin cash, but this didn't work since the community behind Bitcoin, didn't really support Bitcoin cash and didn't move over.

Since the supply for Bitcoin has also diminished prices went down. Now it is at 3.1K and it looks like it might even reach 3.5K by the end of the week. There has been a huge pump recently and this is the result of it.
2939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin penetrate the price of 3500 USD at the end of 2017 this? on: August 05, 2017, 02:32:13 AM
With the rise in bitcoin prices now when I made this topic has reached the price of 2769 USD, my hope can be translucent 3500 USD until the end of the year.

How do you respond about it, can or not bitcoin will reach that price?

Certainly seems like a possibility, I would reckon Bitcoin will reach as high as 3K by the end of this month. The community behind bitcoin is super strong and after the hard fork, Bitcoin is already at 2,876 USD. Maybe we will reach 3k by the end of this week.

I can see a future where bitcoin is at 3.5K, and by the end of this year seems feasible.
2940  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading Bitcoin for real estate? on: August 05, 2017, 01:42:39 AM
I am wondering how many of you are selling your bitcoins to buy something solid like real estate as backup investment? spread the eggs!

Like the idea of diversifying your portfolio but there is a problem with that, say you had enough Bitcoin to pay a 10 percent deposit on a property that was valued at 1 Mil. You could buy that property and rent it out to keep paying for the mortgage while still having ownership of the property. That would mean after a couple of years you would have made a property with only 10 percent investment.

Most people don't have enough money, let alone Bitcoin to do this. I would much rather just invest on other stuff such as the stock market or cryptocurrencies.
