He goes on holidays? May be aTriz does not have much time to deal with these nonsense?
Or he/she know these barking dogs (us) will eventually become silent someday cause Lauda has his back.
I "don't have his back" on this because he has made a huge error, These statements you made disagree with this... I would note that ibminer's above examples are not the only fraudulent statements made regarding that ICO. There are other fraudulent statement in the OP that aTriz himself posted, such as "all monetary transactions with BIBC are processed through secured servers, so users have no need to worry about any risks...
That is absolute, pathetic nonsense. The people who post these threads for others are not vouching for their content, the same way that they are not vouching for the success of the project. Neither one is up to them, and never was. Anyone claiming otherwise has no idea what they're talking about/is showing a clear lack of knowledge and experience. Maybe "vouch" is not be the best word, but without disclaimers disassociating a campaign manager from the ICO, it is misleading, certainly to new members who probably don't even know campaign managers exist. This may be more of a global issue with managers/ICOs though.
It is a global issue, thus we can't blame anyone individually for it. Yes, it does however I guess it does not matter anymore... I see Lauda red tagged aTriz (screenshot) means she (I guess female) is showing that she cares and act right whenever needs to. We change overtime, it's in our nature. Well done Lauda, you did the right thing when it needed.

You worry seems legit but I do not see anything to be worried. I know your username so do everyone. It can not cause any problem. If I know your the password of your email address or if I can figure out the password of your BitcoinTalk account then there is something to be worried. I do not see any of these case here. So, just be cool. Always use a strong password for any account and advised to change it at least once in a six month. PS: I just rephrased actmyname's answer. I guess everyone will have the same answer for your worry. I have your answer. I suggest you to lock this topic if you are satisfied. Thanks

Merit abuse and dt members don't care ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) I guess (hope) it's not the case. May be we need more DT members for the forum. The number of members in the forum is really large. The amount of DT member is not enough to cover everything. Some day someone will defiantly see these abusers and will take necessary steps. You are doing really good job. Thank you.

LOL I wonder how much time you have spent finding all these comments I blame the signature campaigns for this kind of actions. Hey, great job!!! PS: I guess I have now a ready template to spam the forum. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Are you doing this red tagging, to be included on DT2? your negative trust has no impact on their accounts. they never scammed anybody.
- Does it matter? Honestly speaking I still not clear how the DT things work. I only assume DT members mean the member who have a default setting by the system. The advantage is if they tag someone then it shows as trusted feedback. Thats all. No, I am not doing this things (tagging) to become a DT (DT1, DT2... DTn etc) member. I am doing this by being a dutiful member of this forum, hoping some day a DT member or a group of DT member will see my TAGGING MERIT FARMERS topic. They will then realise that all these abusers in my list are really abusing the merit system, they are really taking disadvantages from the system and doing something wrong which is not acceptable by the community. I am also hoping someday a DT member or a group of DT member will go to my trust page and they will surprise seeing all the negative feedback I have sent to all these merit abusers has valid reference. They will then become shocked with an emotion of "What the hack is this guy smoking(me)", then they will discover my work and may be red tag all these merit abusers, eventually may be they will ban some of these abusers. May be the forum will be saved from at least some of these rapist. Hope now you understand, I am doing all these based on a MAY BE and being dutiful to the community. I do not see anything wrong in giving something voluntarily.

I was saddened to see this post in one of the threads on the beginners' board. Any recommendations on good people to follow on twitter?
I thought that the objective of Bitcoin Talk was to help people who are new to Bitcoin, and not to recommend other sites for learning and discussion. Has Bitcoin Talk immersed itself so far into the cesspit of bounty hunting, that people have to make posts like the above? I'm shocked by the number of advice posts on YouTube and Steemit that promote Bitcoin Talk as the venue to earn money by promoting scam coins and ponzi schemes. Are there any Bitcoin bear market seasoned veterans who can share some words of wisdom or advice to a bitcoin newbie experiencing a bitcoin bear market for the first time?
Any recommendations on good people to follow on twitter?
It's a shame that people think they will be able to get info about Bitcoin on twitter or other social media rather than BitcoinTalk. The reason is to much garbage topics floating around here that Bitcoin discussion board is losing it's value.

i first read about bitcoin probably in 2014 but never really paid attention to it, bought some in july 2017 and started reading about it in january 2018. i guess should have exposed myself to it quite earlier to be frank but didn't.
Well we are never late comparing the amount of peoples involving in crypto space now a days. We r still in the early stage of bitcoin era IMO

Do you feel is it right to keep on meriting on our God Mr. Satoshi Namamotto's OLD posts ? But I feel, people are wasting their merits by not considering young bitcoiner's QUALITY posts. One good example here must be (other than Satohis's post), Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns. People love to merit it. In some perspective, I do find the people who all meriting it like they all want their name to be displayed along with some famous topics. If it is not good, is there any way to stop this ? Why not put some upper cap for merits for each and every post ? I mean one post may have only some certain amount of merits. Or disabling the merit button for a post after some time period (after few weeks) will be a solution here ? Matter of fact that merit is for crediting good posts. It does not matter if the post is old or new. As long as the post is liked by you and you think it worth giving merit and if you have sMerit to give them then it's your choice. Just make sure you are not abusing the merit system.PS: You have a valid point though.

The user vizsafe (Still Jr. Member) received 50 merits on March 13 from Cassius (Legendary member) for a post talking about an ICO which is Vizsafe.com ( archive). The post eventually reference to a medium post at the end. If you visit the post page ( archive) of the user vizsafe then its crystal clear that the use is spamming the forum only for Vizsafe ICO. Now I do not care if the ICO is legit or not but my question is receiving 50 merit from user Cassius legit or not. User Cassius must be related to user Vizsafe and favoured Vizsafe with that 50 merits however the evidence is very weak IMO. I would love to hear your feedback on this topic and based on your ( around 100 votes) feedback I will add both users in my TAGGING MERIT FARMERS topic and eventually I will red tag these users. PS: I will urge some DT members to have a look on these accounts. Merit summary for vizsafe Click here if unable to see image Merit summary for Cassius Click here if unable to see image

Just block posting by them on most of the boards.
In other word you are saying to close new registrations ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Curious to know which boards should be open for them ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)
By the way OP, the post really make sense. If we can control (apply manual review) newbie and Jr.Member's post then a lot of this spamming issue will be resolved. With limiting the number of posts which Newbie(i think Jr.members need to be in this group) can post daily, it is necessary to get approval for each post before publishing. So it can't be published any post without approving from forum moderators. Yes there can be a problem it is a lot of job for forum admins and mods, but this can be facilitated if more members are included in the moderation. . . . Allowed posts going to be published, denied going to trash. Accounts with 30 posts and 90% denied posts going to be banned(numbers and percents is just for example)
x post with y% denied also a good idea IMO. This way the poster will think twice before posting garbage.

This is really a BIG list of merit abusers network. I am still working on the complete investigation. The more I am digging the more abusers are coming out from the rabbit hole of this network. I will red tag all of them but we need some DT member as well. Thanks for bringing this out in the public.

very good analytics, thanks for sharing with us, I am a difficult person to analyze the BTC price movement, with this information I can compare with the analysis I made to make a decision. Once again, thank you
I agree with the analysis. will it reach $ 11000? My opinion and its estimates until the end of 2018 will sideways at $ 6000 - $ 11000. sorry if I am wrong.
What are you posting at guys? I confuse to read your both posting as the subject is related with "Guide to delete junk post"...I guess you commented the last part of OP, but the idea of post subject is deleteing junk post ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Those analysis of BTC price is an example of posting to be deleted or moved by the poster.... Btw the poster should create a remark about that so will not make confuse the reader...seems there are 2 topics here... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) My analysis post has expired, I think doing this could reduce the number of posts in topics. These guys are defiantly smoking weed LOL Someone wake them up. The typical signature spammers ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Click here if unable to see image

There must be a good reason for the Mod to remove the thread. May be your topic do not relates to the crypto space or may be you have violated rules. Really not sure. What I always do is I go to draft page ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts ) and recover my contents if it needs to. Recover the contents, put them in a google doc then you can share the link here if you want to.

I would add Zoom2k too with the network. Case#15Zoom2k, opium, Kuala Lumpur zoom2k's merit summaryReceived | User | Sent | 6 | Kuala Lumpur | 2 | Null | opium | 4 | Null | Sylon | 1 |
Seems like Sylon is off here. opium and Kuala Lumpur's investigation on the quoted topic below from Indohunter Not enough evidence for andiko, eprocent, WIND33, maf81. So they are off from Opium investigation. It's clear that Zoom2k, opium, Kuala Lumpur connected with each others and exchanging merits in the posts which are not worthy of giving merits. Thanks @Indohunter for helping me out in this investigation.

He doesnt worry about it. He just bragged about it. Lol
Wait! wait!! No!!! ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) In my case I have noticed if I report a post the percentage does not change at all. Once we report something I assume immediately it does not calculate the percentage of accuracy. Once a moderator examine it and mark it right then it ads up to the accuracy percentage, right? In that case everything seeing 100% accuracy is a bit confusing. I would be less confuse if I would see the same thing like this: Number of accepted post / number of reported post with x% accuracy. i.e: 33/33 with 100% accuracy Hope I made it clear LOL
Do you want to see some kind of queuing system? Where if you click the "report to moderator" button you will be transferred to a page where you can report new posts and will see all your reported posts queued in a list which after the moderator has reviewed the post it can go to either the accepted reported post or denied reported posts. With this system you will see what posts have you reported as well as what of your reported post is accepted or denied.
I guess you nailed it ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
I don't particularly find that to be a huge issue...
It's not a big issue at all. Minor obviously.

You cannot see whether you have reported a post before. Would it be possible to disable reporting on a particular post, once you have already reported it? To be clear, just disable reporting for users who have already reported a particular post.
I do felt the same. If there is a report page for "Report to moderator" feature then we can easily see which reported post were taken in consideration. I also get confused when I see 100% never changed for me. Click if unable to see image
