LSG successfully defended PBKS by 20 runs, and good bowling from LSG led by Mohsin Khan and Krunal Pandya.
It was a good start from PBKS, but unfortunately, after the first wicket which took a bit long for LSG, PBKS lost wickets within no time, and there started the downfall of the team.
In short, it was not easy for LSG to win the match.
Things were going good till Livingstone was there and everyone like me was predicting that Punjab Kings will win the match but all of sudden Punjab Kings lost the track by losing wickets in regular interval of time. Krunal Pandya was too good with this bowling, took 2 wickets and gave just 11 runs. PBKS lost the match due to a careless shot by Liam Livingstone. The team was in an advantageous position. Lower middle order and tailender put up poor performances. LSG well deserved victory. KL Rahul proving to be an outstanding captain. As usual, Punjab disappoints. It is a great team on paper, but it is a terrible team on the field. You cannot blame a single player for the team loss. KL Rahul took the right decision in changing the balling attack every time LSG needed a wicket. LSG was also quiet good on the fields if we compare the fielding of both the sides. The biggest blow to Punjab was when Bairstow was caught by Pandya. After him there was no one left to bat till the end of the match. |

There is no ODI going on and this thread has nothing to discuss about ODI. In fact we are discussing IPL a T20 format in ODI thread. Is there anyone else like me who wanna see international cricket back in action? I dont think blackout of ODI for such a long time is good for cricket fans.
ODI series between WI and Netherlands will start from 31st of May which will be after IPL ends. From May 15th we do have a test cricket between Srilanka and Bangladesh. Not many players from these two countries are playing in the IPL that is why they are having this test. |

Ben Stokes is an excellent choice to serve as the new England Test team captain in this current environment. Several candidates may cause controversy as Butler, Bairstow, or Malan are all excellent choices. Most of us think Stokes named a bad decision since he is normally unfit most of the time. In summarizing Stoke's recent mental health issues, I am not sure if this is a good idea. He may feel too much pressure, which could negatively affect his performance. Ben Stokes will have a tough road ahead. We'll have to wait and see where he goes. I think he has been a great performer for the England cricket team and he can definitely prove himself as a captain in my opinion. yes, a lot of arguments can be made that there are other players who are better suited for this. but in the situation that that cricket team is right now, I think Ben Stokes is the best choice for the captain because the team needs a character like him as their captain. He has a lot of experience as a Vice-Captain of the English test cricket side. His first match as a captain would be against NZ in June this year. This would be a tough test match as NZ is a world champion. As an all-rounder, he has been a great asset to the English side and I think his performance wont be affected as a captain. |

Warner and Lalit are batting responsibly. Their performance is good. Also Warner is very experienced. If he is at the crease, there is no need to worry about Delhi's victory. Delhi scored 55 runs in 7 overs. Warner's collection of 18 balls 30. Although Lalit has collected only 9 runs from 16 balls. But he is able to give Warner good support. Delhi needs 92 runs from 78 balls to win. The match is still under Delhi's control.
Congrats to DC for winning the game and I think like CSK and MI its very much curtains for KKR. The 6.25 crore Warner is best choice for T20 game. Meanwhile Finch continue his poor form in T20 and today he was disappointing also. 146 from KKR are never a challenging total and it was very much expected that DC will win the game quite easily. I don't see this an easy win. Both the teams were almost in the same level, which means in terms of lost wickets. Delhi Capitals was quite ahead in runs and the same lowered the pressure upon Delhi Capitals. If one more wicket have fallen for Delhi Capitals the match could've gone even closer. I thought the match would turn towards Kolkata Knight Riders once after the unwanted runout of Axar Patel who is a major reason for today's win. If Axar Patel hadn't made few good shots at that position, surely Delhi Capitals wouldn't have won this match. The victory was not easy for Delhi. Although it should have been easy to win with such a low target. But in the first two overs, Prithvi Shaw and Marsh lost their wickets and went to Delhi. But Warner and Lalit's pairing helped them move towards their goal. Powell and Axar Patel's innings helped Delhi reach the target with six balls to spare. DC took almost 20 overs to chase the small target of 146 runs. When KKR lost 4 wickets in the early stage of the match I thought they will not be able to score 100 runs but in the end, Nitish Rana scored 57 runs in just 34 balls which helped them to reach 146. I felt in the first session of the match the ball was staying low the wicket as per my opinion was helping the spinners more. DC also faced the same issue but Warner was able to lead them to a win. |

Once again Gujarat Titans have won the match with the power packed performance of Rashid Khan in the last over scoring 25 runs for the required 22 runs. This is a bad defeat for Sunrisers Hyderabad, because all the efforts that were made upto the 19th over was wasted in a single over. Muthiah Muralidharan who is the bowling coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad got much tensed upon the bowling of Marco Jansen. In most of the matches played by Gujarat Titans playing second have ended same as today.
After 16 overs, I thought the Gujarat match would be lost. But in Rashid Khan's unbeaten innings, Gujarat got an unimaginable victory and is now at the top of the points table. It was not easy to win by batting for 196 runs. The performance of openers Wriddhiman Saha and Gill was very good. They did well in the beginning but the middle order players did not play well. We have high expectations of players like Miller. He should perform more responsibly. Even by the 20th over everyone could've believed it is a win for Sunrisers Hyderabad. All the expectations got crushed by Rashid Khan. Even if it is Tewatia, the match would've gone into the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Anyhow throughout this IPL Gujarat Titans were making big progress. Being a new team into IPL and performing the best. Important thing, Rashid Khan is a player for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous Season. Only Umran Malik contributed to the bowling efforts of SRH. He took all the major wickets but unfortunately, they were not able to sustain the pressure till the end of the match. Rashid Khan's contribution, in the end, was the reason why GT won the match. I was confident in the beginning that this match would be won by SRH so stopped watching after the 12th over but with T20 format nothing is predictable. |

I thought MI is the worst team of this edition but RCB yesterday proved me wrong totally as they were bowled out for just 68 runs. There are only 2 players in there batting line up that manages to reach double figure. In the end an easy win for SRH.
What's more interesting is that MI are playing there 8th game and everyone is looking to see there first win.
The irony here is that RCB had to bad full 15 overs to reach this target. Even Glen Maxwell was a failure yesterday he scored just 12 runs but arguably was one of the highest contributer to RCB's total. I am not sure what went wrong with the whole team. |

I do understand why so many governments could not just adopt Bitcoin and let their people use it especially as a currency and it is because this is something that they can't control or manipulate anytime...unlike their own national currencies. However, we are hoping that in the next few years, the success of Bitcoin in El Salvador can make other countries realize that Bitcoin is unstoppable and is not their real enemy and that it can even be helping their country, their people and their economy in the long run.
In my opinion there are two reason why government are not adopting Bitcoin. 1. Those governments which have officially adopted Bitcoin were going through economic crisis and Bitcoin was the best option available in that situation. 2. Government wants to control everything and especially finance and with Bitcoin it is not possible. You need to regulation and it is not that easy as every country has different economic issues. |

With current form and having criticism he needs some break which could be very helpful for him and his future because age factor is still with Kohli and if he wants to stay for some long time then surely a break can help him in this case.
It's never new for any player because we have a history of bad patches like these and mostly players with having break come back very strongly, so he is also can do this. Now with Shastri is also looking for something like this; hopefully he will take some good decision for his future and fight back with very strong performance, or he can take retirement from one or two formats and just keep playing test matches which is also very good for him and his career because he is still good player for this format.
I really don't think that Kohli want to concentrate on tests. He is a good test player, but why should he detach himself from all the glamor and blitz of T20? Players resigning from other formats to focus on test cricket is a thing of the past. There is too much money available in franchise T20 to make that option really unattractive. On top of that, the popularity of test cricket is going down with every passing year. In the long term, if he concentrate only in test format, Kohli's market value will decrease and his revenue from various endorsements will go down. T20 format is where the money is in cricket now days. But, test cricket is also important for a batsman like Kohli regardless of its popularity. Test cricket basically test a batsman ability to score runs and also to save his wicket throughout the whole day. It also determines the fitness level of a batsman. In my opinion he should rest from all formats for a couple of month and then make a comeback. |

What they lost again? I can't believe it, its now 7 out of 7. I was expecting that MI will come stronger in this match to win the game but they just scored 155 runs. You can score 155 runs when both your openers are gone for zero. IPL need quality not quantity, clearly MI is not a standard team to be part of such league.
Well... this time it was really close.. but in the end Mumbai lost their 7th consecutive match. They have 0 points, and a net run rate of -0.892. Difficult to believe that this is the team that has the record of most IPL titles. So what happened all of a sudden, after a good performance last year? Has it something to do with captaincy? Anyway, now it is too late for them. Half of their matches are completed and they have zero chances of making it to the semi-finals. Maybe for the next season they should work towards getting some good players in their squad who can help them win matches. Mumbai lost for the 7th straight match because of the unbeaten innings of MS Dhoni. Regardless of how old the lion is, he never stops hunting. In a thrilling last ball finish, Dhoni retains his leadership skills. Winning and losing are a part of the game, but what can be said about the Mumbai Indians' season so far? Yes, at the end it was a great fight from them, but it also helped them to lose their seventh match in a row. It is only Mumbai Indians who deserve the blame. The late flourish by Dhoni indeed helped CSK to win the match. I also feel that a score of 155 was not at all that hard for CSK to reach. Mukesh Choudhary took two crucial wicket for CSK otherwise they could have scored more than 155 runs. 3 wickets in the initial stages of the match by this guy's might have demoralized the batting order. |
