They have now Westbrook as their facilitator and if LBJ averages 20-25 PPG, he can surpass the current record in 1-2 seasons. This includes also playoffs and if he will get injured. I would love to see that event happen though that Kareem himself will cheer on LBJ when he surpasses the record Smiley.

That's achievable for Lebron James in 2 seasons, I also made a computation on my own, 72 games in the regular season, plus playoffs since the Lakers will certainly enter in the playoffs without a problem.

He just to ensure he is healthy, so he can score every game and he will be able to make a history being the number 1 in scoring in 2 to 3 seasons.

Lebron still looks young, though already at 36 years old, he is still very dominant, so nothing is impossible because he is a special player.
2923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Uk most deprived areas have the Highest number of gambling outlets. on: September 13, 2021, 09:33:24 PM
Operators do find a way to make their business profitable, and if they find it profitable running a business in such areas, they would pursue it.

However, if the government sees it's concerning, they should not grant a license in the first place.

I think it's the job of the government here to evaluate an application before approving it, and they always look at the effect of the community, but if money works and corruption is happening, there's no sense of explaining to them as they will not see the potential risk of running a casino in deprived areas where people might easily get addicted to gambling.
2924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 13, 2021, 08:42:19 PM

If that's what promoters would only do, then boxing would be boring. I believe MP promotion is always up for a challenge and they know this fight will gain the attention ot the fans, so they are making it happen, for Sultan to beat an undefeated fighter with an impressive KO record, he needs to train harder as this could be his toughest fight.

Stats wise, Sultan needs to have harder preparations knowing Caraballo's records. Something that he needs to work out and make sure to find the ways countering this monster.

But MP camps may see different things as they call this fight, it's a good opportunity for Sultan to gained the attention inside this sport. If he does win this fight, other promoters will aim for him.

He needs to showcase everything to break the records of Caraballo, else, it will turn to the other side and the fame will be added to Caraballo.

That's the risk in boxing, it's either you go down or go up, it's a competition where the better fight will go up and will become popular in the future. If MP called this fight, they did a great job because for their fighter to fight an undefeated fighter with a scary record, this could result in a loss for Sultan, but maybe they saw something that Sultan could use as an advantage over Caraballo.
2925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 13, 2021, 08:15:48 PM
I was so surprised by the result of this fight with Anderson Silva winning at first round in 1 minute and 21 seconds. Now I understand what he did. Days before the fight he said to the media he would dodge and resist maximum as possible along the rounds and that is exactly what Tito Ortiz thought it was going to happen, so he went full attack mode since the beginning. Probably in his mind he imagined he could control the fight's rhythm this way.

However, what he didn't know is that Silva was bluffing and when Ortiz least expected, the game turned 180º. He was surprised by a sudden change in his opponent's strategy that knocked him out instantly without giving him any recovery chance. Maybe if he were more strategical and didn't rush like that the fight would have lasted longer.

Anderson Silva did what he said, he was being attacked by Ortiz aggressively and he was just counter-punching, unfortunately, Ortiz's boxing skills was way inferior to Silva and he got caught up with a solid punch. Maybe it's just a mind game and Silva being a warrior knows what he is doing, and Tito Ortiz just takes the bait, I wonder if he will challenge Silva for a rematch.
2926  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 13, 2021, 01:32:07 PM
With due respect, political manifestos usually have many promises, lots of wishful thinking and plenty of stuff that politicians hope that people forget when it comes to putting it in practice. Still, it is interesting that there is an specific point on corruption in sports and I would not be inclined to think that they are pointing to betting, but rather to a more general objective of reducing money laundering and bad practice in general. Governments rarely care about honesty in betting other than basic regulations.

Corrupt politicians usually do that and they will create a lot of problems if there are more corrupt politicians running the country than the good ones, especially if most of them are holding a higher position in the government.

Corruption in the sport does not usually involve politicians, in the theory of game-fixing that I read, mostly involve people are those who are running the league as they are in control of everything when someone has a league, he creates the rules and he influences the implementation of the rules.
2927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Not all altcoins will recover on: September 13, 2021, 11:34:04 AM
That's normal that's why there's what we called risk.

Actually, only a few of the many altcoins are legit, the majority are scams, so that would justify the statement that not all altcoins will recover.
When you are investing, though you see a project to be legit and has good potential, it's still not advisable to just focus all your investment on a certain coin or few coins, always look at the possible worst-case scenario, so make a strategy that would minimize the risk.

I just hope that good old grandpa Evander Holyfield earner well in this fight and he in his 58 wont hit that "boxing vs retired MMA" or "exhibition fight" or "boxing fight among old stars" mania.

Belfort was loaded for this fight and dropped good bombs. I'm glad that ref was smart and experienced enough to stop this fight before KO.

After what happened, I think he will think twice if he will ever fight again. He got KO in round 1 only, there's no excitement in his next fight as we all see that a 58-year-old man cannot fight anymore, even though he is very popular before but when someone gets old, things really changed.
2929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of cryptocurrencies are fraudulent on: September 13, 2021, 07:54:07 AM
No wonder investors say 95% of the many projects launched are scams, this is not the case with crypto as a whole. There are so many memes of coins on the market that are no longer actively traded and various parties that come up with the idea of crypto to recruit investors to invest where they end up being scammed, experiences like this make me think crypto should be monitored by the state. However, it is highly unlikely that cryptocurrencies are controlled by the government. 2015 sounds good about crypto, everyone feel comfortable to invest in launched project. Hopefully that happy year can come back for comfort in investing.

At least a part of the blame should be on retarded people who pour their money in to such projects. Back in 2016/17, a number of ICO projects returned 100x or even 1000x returns for those who invested in them. And as a result, there was a lot of hype related to the ICOs. A lot of users were rushing to invest in ICOs, despite the shady credentials. They were hoping that at least 2-3 out of 10 projects would return good profits. That didn't happened and most of those who made their investments lost the capital amount.

That was part of the process, you can't blame them for investing money because they saw the potential and they believe that they could make money. They lose, that's okay because there's a lot of opportunity in crypto, and if they learn from their mistakes, then probably they are already in profit now.

As the market is not yet fully regulated, you can see more scams as it's easy for scammers to play here, but as their style was exposed, I'm sure that will give awareness to investors on what to look for when investing.
2930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 13, 2021, 07:23:49 AM
According to the article, I like their plan of changing position if necessary when Westbrook is on the floor. Lebron James moving from SF to Pf and Davis from PF to Center. And in terms of offense, Westbrook will just let Lebron or Davis initiate it as he's now used on it playing in the Houston Rockets alongside James Harden and Bradley Beal playing with the Washington Wizards.

If that was perfectly executed and not just written in the paper, Lakers' core is now complete and hard to deal with.
Yes, I also agree and this will be an advantage for the Lakers because there are many players who can easily play in various positions, for example LeBron James, he can easily play in, SG, SF and PF.

I'm sure, LeBron James with his experience will control Westbrook for him do not commit any reckless attitude during the games

because sometimes so he doesn't do any reckless actions.
to he doesn't do any reckless actions during the games.

I'm anxious to seeing the Lakers play in the future, let's see if the team has a chemistry, especially with this new trio (LeBron, AD and Westbrook),
By the way, I also believe that this combination could have the same level like Miami Heat trio in 2010 - 2014 (LeBron, Wade and Bosh)
Let's see if this new Lakers trio can be better than the Heat trio from a few seasons ago

This is good for Lebron James as Westbrook IMO has a better vision compared to him, it's my personal view only, you can oppose, and though Westbrook does not have a good shooting percentage, he sometimes calls the last shot, unlike Lebron as PG who would just past the ball. It will be the first time Lebron playing sa SF if this plan will be realize, so let's see.
2931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Can XRP Achieve $5? on: September 12, 2021, 09:56:23 PM
Under two conditions, if the market remains bullish and XRP won the case against them charge by the SEC. I guess, that would create big news in the market and it will turn XRP bullish since until now, XRP has not been bullish year despite almost a year the market has been bullish already.

Hype can turn coin to its bullish mode, and we have not seen that for XRP yet, so buying at the current rate might give you a chance to make a good profit, but if you think anytime the market will be bearish, then wait until XRP trade below $0.50 again.
2932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 90% chances if a coin is listed in Binance it has a good potential on: September 12, 2021, 09:17:39 PM
not all coins on binance have great potential but almost all are good. like when binance will register a new coin and quickly the price of the coin will increase quite quickly before it returns to normal. but many people think the coins on binance are good coins because they can enter the biggest market in the world.

The title says itself, not all but only 90%, which I think is high enough. We should have data here before we can say that 90% has potential and one of the bases to determine is the trading volume of a specific coin. If you look at https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/binance/, we can load all the coins listed in Binance and verify if they are really moving. For now, Binance's total trading volume has really increased significantly, from almost 1 billion dollar average daily, now it's already $76 billion daily.

That will never come back anymore, that time, the market is not yet popular, and there are only few projects you can find, now, it's full of coins and tokens and the number of scams has increased as well, yo know, whenever there's an opportunity, scammers will come to play, so our only weapon to fight is knowledge, without that, we will fail with our journey here.
2934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake token in wallet on: September 12, 2021, 08:48:56 AM
My wallet is filled with all these worthless coins. I have no idea who sends all these coins. Coins that have no value are what they gain by coin wallet sending.
It's those developers that are trying to scam you. They have no value and if something shows that it has value, you'll try to panic as if you're going to exchange that quickly and take the profit.
But little did you know that they're baiting you to fund that wallet of yours and send it to where it's only listed for you to trade.
That one is a very popular way of scam, but some people still fall from these scams.

If you still remember this news https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-53425822.. that's one of the most successful scams.

Quote
Billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates are among many prominent US figures targeted by hackers on Twitter in an apparent Bitcoin scam.

The official accounts of Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Kanye West also requested donations in the cryptocurrency.

"Everyone is asking me to give back," a tweet from Mr Gates' account said. "You send $1,000, I send you back $2,000."

The US Senate Commerce committee has demanded Twitter brief it about the incident next week.

Only prove that there are still a lot of people who are greedy but has no knowledge of the different style of scams.
Too good to be true offers usually are scams.

All the favorites win today, and they won by round 1 KO. I thought the fight would not be this interesting, but I was wrong, great fight and congratulations to the winners for a very impressive win, especially for Anderson Silva who wasn't too aggressive in the fight but have found the right timing to counter Ortiz and put him on the ground.

Great challenge by Jonas Sultan,  I'm impressed with the power of Carlos Caraballo since all his fights are won by KO. Actually, I'm not familiar with Carlos Caraballo but I feel he is going to make a name in the sports of boxing, so let's see if his win streak and KO streak will continue.

Please update the betting odds once available.
2937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 11, 2021, 09:59:49 PM
Gasol probably felt disrespected while he was in Lakers that's why he insist on remaining in his home country. I thought it's a bit early for him to retire and he may still need the money from a few years contract since we're still in a pandemic. Good for him and his family if he's already financially stable.

I don't think he felt disrespected or something while he is in the Lakers uniform. Perhaps he really wanted to be close with his family in Spain specially in the condition that we have right now, the pandemic. The Gasol brothers have proven themselves already, Pau winning with Kobe Bryant and then Marc with Toronto + numerous accolades in the Olympics. The Gasol's are European and not like the US players who don't know how to manage their NBA money as we have seen to many ex-NBA players becoming poor or has no money after. I believed he are financially stable and could live a good life in his country.

I think so too, their parents are surely so proud of the accomplishment of Paul and Mark in the NBA, and I think with the news that he will stay with Spain, we might not be able to see Mark again playing in the NBA as he is done with his journey here and he is also close to retirement, well, actually consider this as a retirement already as he stays in Spain, probably for good.
2938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Sonar (PING) on: September 11, 2021, 09:36:51 PM
What do you think about Sonar (PING) is it another project to invest on?
I have recently been following up but can't really come into conclusion as I still need credible hands and those knows much about it to give little advice about the network if one would bag enough of it.
Is already listed in CMC https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sonar/
Please give your feedback
It is great to know that PING is now on CMC. As far as I know, it will be listed on gate io. If anyone wants to get good profit, it is the best time to buy PING token with cheap price. In my view, the price of PING will be growing so fast after next listing on exchange.
What more if it will be listed in Binance? That would surely boost the price.

Remember that ADA has over 30 billion supply, while this coin only has 4 billion max supply, so there's a chance that it could reach 1 USD or even 2 USD in the future, but it still depends on how the team will handle the project, if they'll realize their plan and impressed the investors, there's no reason it will not grow to a significant price and will become a big project.
2939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport bet odds accumulation on: September 11, 2021, 09:01:18 PM
I will say the ops should go with Sportsbet for more stable and good odds. I usually use Sportsbet or stake for my weekend bet. They both have the best odds for weekend games. But again, as advised, always use to search feature to carry out a further search.
These two sites are popular, actually, I'm using both of them, and what's good with Sportsbet is they have the price boost where you can increase the odds to get more value on your bet. However, it's still good to explore other sportsbooks as not all the time a certain site could provide the best odds.
2940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: September 11, 2021, 10:43:16 AM
In poker it's harder to do. because some things (like cards on the table) is independent from you and your skill.

Then why there are people who are consistently good with poker?

The more time a person spend in doing something the more the chances of getting accustom to the way the is done or function. Game of card is a game of chance which the chances of becoming more lucky to win from random is high combined with skill. Maybe I could say the higher the time spent in learning/doing something, the better the chances of getting it right.
Practice makes perfect, that's why gamblers love to practice to learn more and to be consistent.
However, it's only doable on games that are based on luck, therefore, it's important to focus on games that are proven could make someone win consistent money, and of course, as mentioned, card game, particularly poker is one of those.
If a gambler can practice and manage their money, they will surely improve their skills. But most gamblers will not think much about managing their money instead of trying just to play more and more and that is why many gamblers lose their money in the end. However, if that gambling game is based on luck, no matter how hard we practice, we still have a big chance of losing money without knowing when to win. But if that is about poker, practice can make us become a pro poker players.
That's why the majority of the gamblers are losers because they are serious with their goal of making consistent money, but they don't have the skills in doing it, bankroll management is pretty basic, if you messed up with it, then don't expect that you'll have a profitable journey in gambling.
