The Airdrop for registered addresses with more than 1BTX coming in every Monday. When your address is registered and you receive nothing, then you have less than 1BTX on it. You can check the Value at http://insight.bitcore.cc/. When your wallet have more than 1BTX and the registered Address less than 1BTX you can use the Advanced Coin Control Function in your Wallet to transfer all your BTX to the registered address. its not an airdrop it's you are getting tricked into holding a proof-of-stake scheme via the developers' centralized control mechanism~ :-D hmm |

If this will be added in the new exchanges right now with great volume then maybe we can see the value grow. I think they are more concentrating on the development than putting it in a high volume exchanges, whatever the team decide I cannot still sell my sia due to low value. All market is down recent days, when it recovers we will see Siacoin price move to higher levels. Yeah, I don't understand people complaining about the price decrease, when all the market is going down. The only price that matters in that time is the price in BTC, is it increasing or decreasing SIA will gat some real value vs. fiat, not only vs. BTC, than will be less volatile now, when BTC gains vs. fiat, logically all altcoins that doesn't have any direct value vs. fiat are falling down under but SC is a massive project and I am hodling it. I think it will still take some time until the alternative crypto market moves in a decoupled way from BTC. Right now there is still a very strong correlation because everything stands or falls with BTC's future. Sad to say you're right. I already noticed twice when Bitcoin is mooning towards $20,000, all the other coins dumped, like 95% literally out of 1,500 coins. Only when Bitcoin is perceived to be just ranging in price, did altcoins prosper for a brief moment in the first days of 2018. bitmain hijacked this coin ... i see some crazy crypto war between bitmain and nebulous ? :\ hmmm |

Wanted to introduce myself and tell you that I am really excited to be a part of the EMC2 team. I have had a chance to meet the key team members and they are all really wonderful. As with any organization, there are a lot of things to accomplish and everyone has different skills. Malden and the rest of the team are incredible innovators, designers and coders. They are working really hard on creating new tools and applications for EMC2.
A quick word about "mind-blowing news" -
Remember that at the core of these blockchain projects are a bunch of computer coders. They tend to get really excited about things that the average person might not even understand. The change to how the coin was mined was a very big deal as it opened the door for access to more mining pools. For a small coin like EMC2 that was huge news.
That said, messaging is important and I pledge to give you guys clear info from here on out.
The crypto space, much like our world today, is filled with misinformation. EMC2 is on a mission of transparency, innovation, and philanthropy. Moving forward, I'll be ensuring that we provide our community with clear, honest information about our goals and our progress.

This board is fun to read, a lot of different kind of information can be obtained here, plenty of very interesting topics, often not closely related to Bitcoin - analytics, retrospective views, news, opinions, old news which you never were aware about at the time, lots of other stuff. At the very least, this thread is good to read to improve English skills, which suffer a lot while reading some other topics of this same forum Indeed I started to read this board to get price predictions, but then realized the predictions are the least interesting (and the least reliable too!!) part of discussions here . What happens to Sia price? Now it's worth as much as in June Perhaps crytpo is not for you, if you can't handle the dips, as there are many. One factor in my decision to sell was the fact that Sia issued Siafunds, which are indivisible, and very expensive - $10-15K each! Owners of Siafunds get a cut of the profits of the storage suppliers (a reward for the risk of owning them, we're told), and the suppliers get - and I quote from the white paper - a "brutal free market" (potentially no reward!). Also, Siacoin was not intended to be used as a speculative investment. The whole thing feels like Sia are doing this for themselves and their wealthy mates, and the rest of us can just go to hell. And, with the price plummeting so fast now, maybe Hell will be the next stop.  One small note: SiaFunds are not being "issued". All the 10.000 SiaFunds were originated on the genesis of the blockchain, 3 years ago. About 1200 were sold originally to investors to fundraise the project, and the remaining 8800 were held by Nebulous Inc. as an incentive to align the interests of the developing team with the growth of the network (SF dividends depend on the usage of the storage network). No new SiaFunds are being issued this time: it is simply Nebulous Inc. (core developers) selling 750SF of their stack of 8800 to increase the funding of the team. This will be very positive for the whole Sia sphere, as with those funds they'll be able to pay more developers to push ahead the roadmap and pay other stuff like marketing campaigns once the network is production-ready. Moreover, the beauty of SiaFunds is that the investors buying them become contributors/partners: They'll only get dividends if they help pushing the adoption of the storage network, so these investors will really promote the long-term organic growth of Sia and not short-term pump schemes like traditional "investors" of coins.
