i really believe in strong constitution.

Frankly, I'd be happy to believe in that, but when I see some islamists who think life would be a dream if everything was regulated according to the Koran, I wonder: how do you guarantee the constitution is a good one?

"ZMapp instead consists of antibodies that are made by exposing mice to a key Ebola protein and harvesting their antibodies. Those antibodies are then genetically modified to make them more like human antibodies and therefore less likely to provoke an immune reaction if injected into people."

Thanks for this excellent article, I understand mass production would require a very large organization, and also some chance, as the technology is so new and unproven.

I remember when at school, I learned about religious wars in Europe 400 years ago, we were taught those things didn't happen anymore. At last, it's not in Europe. Shall I add, not yet?
2924  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Strong democracy or strong constitution ? on: August 07, 2014, 09:16:24 PM
I repeat Hitler came to power democratically. He didn't have a majority in 1933, that's very true, but that doesn't change anything. In Italy, the Netherlands, Austria or Belgium and plenty of other countries, the political leaders, today, don't have a majority either. A 51% majority is just impossible as there are too many candidates at each election. So there's got to be a coalition, and the best man to achieve that is appointed.

Saying Hitler didn't came to power democratically is saying there's no democracy in Italy, the Netherlands, nor in all the countries which have the same constitutional system as Germany in the 1930's. And all Germans agree on this: Hitler had the support of a majority of the German people for many years. Just ask a German!

If the interest is fixed, keep the mortgage as it is, and invest your extra money elsewhere.
2926  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need advice on starting a Bitcoin ONLY company. on: August 05, 2014, 12:19:58 PM
I've asked this question on Reddit as well, and wanted to cross post this on this forum:

So, I've heard Nic Cary talk about how Blockchain is a company that does not have ANY bank accounts.

I have a few questions:
1. Where in the world should such a company be created/registered?

2. The company has to be structured so that it passes the 'legitimacy test' for companies like Coinvoice and others that will help the conversion of FIAT to BTC.
[I want the company to be able to invoice in BTC and if the customers pay in USD then do the invoicing through a company like coinvoice to handle the conversion, and perhaps a similar conversion for other FIAT currencies (EUR, INR, etc). ]

3. Has the simplest rules and formalities and the lowest tax burden in terms of operating an entity.

4. Any other things I need to be aware of or should consider.

Thanks for all your help and feedback in advance.

1. Easy! BTC belongs to cyberspace so your company must be there, too.
2. Didn't you say this was to be a BTC only company? There shall be no Fiat to BTC conversion. You must convince your clients to pay you with BTC.
3. You write your own rules in cyberspace. You're a free man and you don't pay tax to anyone, just like I do.
4. Plenty, but I'm afraid it won't come free. Send me a PM if needed.
2927  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you continue using bitcoin if your country banned it completely? on: August 05, 2014, 12:07:11 PM
With me not having any country, I wouldn't care at all.

We shall remember than some 90 years ago in the U.S., alcohol was banned and that didn't stop people from drinking.
Note also that drugs are illegal in most places, yet, they're everywhere.

Please, understand that I don't support in any way child pornography. I'm just puzzled by the news.

You can send pictures of your children at the beach with Google Gmail account, but if you happen to send indecent pictures of children, you will be tipped off to the police.

If you send mail about bitcoin, you may also get noticed? Privacy of correspondence used to be a right. Long time ago.

2929  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Strong democracy or strong constitution ? on: August 04, 2014, 12:58:08 PM
The choice is between Hitler, who was democratically elected
No, he never was elected democratically. He tried to get a super majority in the parliament multiple times, but failed. Then he found a proof of tax evasion by the president, used this information as a subject of blackmailing to get a post of chancellor, and later appointed himself a president. Despite it was a direct violation of constitution, I wouldn't say that it was any kind of democracy.

Indeed he was never elected democratically.
1932 Elections:
Nazi party: 36.8%
Independent: 53%
Communists: 10.2%

All this democracy games during 1932-1933 seems like a poor joke, and very similar to some recent events in well known country  Cheesy

For countryfree:

Reich president refused to appoint Hitler as reich chancellor. Then Hitler tried to get 2/3 of seats in order to get the post of reich chancellor without President's consent. But even during the state of emergency, even after 3rd attempt (elections were performed in 1932 and twice in 1933) to reach a super majority his party got only 36.8% of seats. It was epic fail for him.

This wasn't enough to get a position of reich chancellor without being appointed by the reich president. Realizing that the his democracy game isn't going well, he began to look for compromising evidence which could be used against the president, and found it. This evidences of tax evasion were used to force president appoint him as a reich chancellor.

I know all that. It wasn't smart tactics but democracy's always like that. Nothing has changed. In today's democracy, the winner is the one who spends the most in advertising. I shall also remind you of the Bush vs Gore battle for the U.S. 2000 presidential election. Gore had half a million more votes than Bush, but the latter got elected. Democracy may be the best system, but it's far from perfect.
2930  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All illegals deserve to be deported. on: August 04, 2014, 12:49:07 PM
I'm an illegal. Not currently in the U.S. (I'm in Switzerland right now) but I've been there, and I'll be back sometimes. I'm proud to be illegal and undocumented because I would be ashamed of being a legal citizen in most countries. I love America, several other countries too, but there isn't one country I like so much that I'd like to be one of its citizens. Every country has its dark side, so I don't want to support any. I believe a man has the right to live anywhere on the planet, providing he doesn't ask anyone help (welfare) to live, and that's what I do.
2931  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does Kurd deserve their own country ? on: August 04, 2014, 12:40:23 PM
Syria and Irak as we know them are mostly invented countries, made up right after WW1, by British and French generals. The Kurds were forgotten at the time, but they have as much right to their own country as Turks or Greeks. The Kurds have even more rights to have Kurdistan than the Jews to have Israel, a country invented in 1947.
2932  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Strong democracy or strong constitution ? on: August 03, 2014, 05:59:58 PM
The choice is between Hitler, who was democratically elected, or the djidahists who kill thousands because their religious book (which should be the base of a constitutional state according to them) tell them they're infidels.

You are free to choose one or the other and I'll keep on refusing both.
2933  Economy / Economics / Re: 11 countries close to bankruptcy....... on: August 02, 2014, 06:25:57 PM
It's a nice thought, but economically speaking, even if massively adopted, BTC couldn't save a country from bankruptcy. A currency that they cannot control wouldn't become the primary currency of a failing economy

Bitcoin will not save countries.

It will save people.

Wow! I think you're a bit optimistic. I'd say BTC can help, but some people won't understand how BTC can help them, or they might not want to be helped.
2934  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: August 02, 2014, 06:22:05 PM
I feel very concerned as I was planning to travel to western Africa at the end of the year. I may have to change my plans.
By the way, Europe is not safe, there are dozens of lights between West Africa and Europe daily. I hope the outbreak doesn't reach Senegal, with even more connections to Europe.
2935  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Strong democracy or strong constitution ? on: August 02, 2014, 06:17:05 PM
Neither.

I'm in favor of a feeble state, with few laws and few elections.
2936  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinRichList.com on: June 23, 2014, 11:33:34 PM
I am the creator of http://bitcoinrichlist.com  It is a blockchain analytics site whose primary draw is it lists the current richest bitcoin addresses.  I just made some major updates am and now tracking last transaction in dates and # of transaction in/out as well as the current top 20,000 addressse.  Most of the data is found using znort's block parser so much thanks to him.

Bitcoin distribution is archived every 5,000 blocks so you can see how it changes over time here: http://bitcoinrichlist.com/charts/bitcoin-distribution-by-address?atblock=275000  The top 500 lists are also currently archived every 500 blocks which you can view with the atblock query http://bitcoinrichlist.com/top100?atblock=2000

If anyone's looking to help out and has experience with d3 charts or node.js/angular.js/mongodb let me know.  Any feedback and donations would be much appreciated: 13gpMizSNvQCbJzAPyGCUnfUGqFD8ryzcv

Are you a front for the NSA? The Chinese government? Worst idea I've seen for a long time. Didn't you know many BTC owners are looking for privacy? I wish you to fail, and to lose all the time and money you invested. Anyone who supports you may as well write love letters to the CIA and the FBI.

when watching TV.

Don't!

I haven't watched TV since 1993 (no Internet back then), and I think differently than most people.
2938  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Government on: June 23, 2014, 11:21:33 PM
Here we go again.
The real issue here is people are not all equal. The only thing I need a government for is to renew my passport, and there are a few people like me, but most people would be desperate without the umbrella of a government above their frail shoulders. We just need more people to grow up, and government will become useless for all to see.
2939  Other / Politics & Society / Re: One Week in Islam: What is Wrong With This Faith??? on: June 23, 2014, 11:18:05 PM
What's wrong is a total lack of tolerance. Muslims expect you to behave and to dress (especially women) the way they do, and in some places the few radical muslims will kill you if you don't.

I don't have any problem with them if they want to implement stone age laws in their own nations. But what I don't want is them to impose their laws on everyone else, especially in Europe.

I don't like the idea that they can do whatever they want in their far-away nations, and only be respectful of others in Europe. There are some moderate people everywhere, and there are many Egyptian women who would enjoy more freedom. It's a global village, and we shouldn't tolerate people like islamists who want to impose their views and their laws on others anywhere.

Amazing to see several welfare supporters on this board. I shall remind those people that in India, in Nigeria and 50 more countries, about 2 billions people are in urgent need of everything, please help them as much as you can. Thank you.
