2921  Economy / Economics / Re: The sale of the COVID-19 vaccine on the dark web continues. on: January 15, 2021, 05:19:32 AM
Who the hell buy covid vaccine on darkweb, when it is not confirmed that official vaccine gives a 100% cure result and there will be later no consequences. These must be people who sends money unlock 1 billion $ lottery winnings they’ve got in email. Or open any attachments in emails.
There are real vaccine smugglers in the darknet, you just need to be good at finding a legitimate one. Those gullible persons are the same ones that buy those vaccines from the darknet. To be fair, I have to give props to this scammers because their business is booming because of this idiot people trying to get ahead of the others in an illegal way, I do not mind that this people get scammed because both the seller and the buyer in this case is a scum of society.
2922  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Live Video platform alternative to Youtube on: January 15, 2021, 04:36:27 AM
I don't know much about filecoin but if it's the likely of live streaming app, I remember one Youtube personality that has supported and used one, PewDiePie.

That's DLive.

https://dlive.tv/
Pewds was rumored to have partnered with DLive after he was banned on Twitch, AFAIK DLive is the only streaming site that accepts cryptocurrency for donations.

To OP, Vod did a good advice to you, look at Nebula, a platform that gathered a lot of Youtube personalities and they did some productions there that is unrestricted unlike Youtube's BS guidelines that can hammer even the innocent ones.
2923  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bulltardia, A bitcoin fable on: January 15, 2021, 03:51:48 AM
~
Hey guys, let me clarify a few things:
  • The hunt was not designed to be easy. The main goal of this hunt is to introduce Bulltardia, get people to read the comic and hopefully like it. I discourage brute forcing because that defeats the original purpose and I would much prefer the winner to be an avid reader who used his brain and imagination rather than a machine.
  • That said, the difficulty will decrease over time as new hints are released periodically and publicly. But again, the hunt was not designed to be brute forced.
  • While I sell some hints, the hunt can entirely be solved without them. So far, only the first key can be bought. This is intended for the laggards as many hints have already been given for it and it is probably the easiest to find.
  • I don't make that much money out of it. Most of the income comes from book sales, auctions and patrons backing my work. Many thanks to them and the book collectors as I am not sure i'd be able to continue the work without their support
  • I have a LN donation channel via tippin.me: https://tippin.me/@cryptgm And you're absolutely right, donations would help fund season 2 and another treasure hunt with it! So thank you in advance to anyone contributing.
  • I cannot prevent anyone from reselling my virtual goods. After all, it's a free market Smiley

Hope that answers some of the questions

cheers,
Dim
The brute force that I mentioned was a possibility so hopefully you know about it. Good thing that what I want for your hunt is happening and that you do not get destroyed by doing your passion financially. I hope that more will see your work and get more patron, get to other social media platforms to promote your work and set up more donation channels while doing that because I believe that you will be successful. Cheers.
2924  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Double Bitcoin Mycoins2moon on: January 15, 2021, 03:15:47 AM
What a silly looking scam name, Mycoins2moon will definitely send your coins to someone's moon, never to come back to you. Checking their page, it looked legitimate but there seems to be no team behind that wants to claim they create, they know that having a stock photo of a corporate attired dude is not an effective strategy anymore. Also, how come they have a 200k bitcoin transaction over time but no one seems to know the existence of their website, this is a scam no doubt, even if they have the SSL in their website, that is still a scam.
2925  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Vareole is a scammer on: January 15, 2021, 02:37:38 AM
If this guy is a scammer, and I have seen that name pop up for awhile now, why are you guys still doing deals with him then? I get that the services might be rare in the discussion but don't you think that it is a little desperate for you to go on your way to just accept the said service? Why not use an escrow to make sure that everything will go smoothly? With a lot of this mud slinging going on, I do not know who should I believe because some of them do not have a damning evidence to support their accusation.
2926  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bulltardia, A bitcoin fable on: January 14, 2021, 08:40:48 AM
~
Well at first, when I saw that he is selling the hints, I thought it was scam. Later though, I saw his brilliant art and the podcasts, so I stopped believing that. He explained me that he wants to earn the money that lost by selling the hints. Although, selling the first key for BTC0.01, is not a great move IMO. It isn't that difficult to find the first. I would personally give those satoshis for revealing the 7th or the 12th key. Brute forcing with 1 word takes couple of seconds.
Since OP has established the hunt then might as well get something out of it, never knew that OP was selling the hint, to take it up a notch, why not open up a donation channel for the work, I think people will support that, plus with those donations OP can create more hunts that will gather more people. I wish I was good at programming because I really like to create puzzles and hunts like this one. Also, selling hints can be a problem for OP because someone might sell it for a lower price and that will definitely damage the hunt in a way but it also makes the hunt harder.
2927  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bulltardia, A bitcoin fable on: January 14, 2021, 08:00:31 AM
~
Generally, in order to find those 10 million satoshis you need to spend hours on ensuring that your answers are correct and additional hours for brute forcing all the possible combinations, not only for the 2 missing words, but for the words of the known hints that are likely to have more than a word as an answer. Furthermore, you don't know the derivation path of the address, which could make the entire work useless.

I believe that if Dim gives the 7th or the 12th hint, the money will be taken within an hour.
If you have a programming prowess, you can make an automated brute force to find the missing digits. If it were the case, I think that it will definitely taken in a matter of hours. Also, in my opinion giving away hints is a pretty bad thing for the dude because that will make the hunt less thrilling, maybe if OP stopped giving hints, OP might create a community surrounding the puzzles that OP created.
2928  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [JV] I am looking for Investors for my Youtube project on: January 14, 2021, 07:17:07 AM
It seems the person that commented above is not a native speaker of English.

When I say "WE", I mean My partner (The Investor) and I. Just two people.

"WE" means that we will work together...

Please, contact me directly for more info on how we are going to work to achieve our goals.
Can "WE" as potential investors see your Youtube channel and let "US" be the judge of whether you are a worthy investment or not. There was an adpocalypse in Youtube not awhile back so some channels are affected by demonetization.

Thank you mate, I don't know this comic but I'm going to look for it.

Re hunt: Do you think i am printing BTC out of thin air? This is not FIAT  Grin
If i had that kind of money, I would definitely make the prize bigger
The thrill of the hunt will be higher if you were to raise the stakes, just saying. I know that it will be difficult but hopefully make it harder because there are great people on the Internet that might be able to solve this hunt, make it kind of like a Cicada 3301 style. Or better yet, make a time crunch, set a deadline.
Believe me, it's already too hard.
I have looked into it, I might not be able to solve it but mulling over it can be easy.
2930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Gold - What is better for long term investors? on: January 14, 2021, 06:03:55 AM
Actually, It is very difficult to choose between these 2 commodities because they are both recognized good investments but I choose gold because it is most popular than Bitcoin maybe because it has a physical appearance and a long trusted traditional investment in which it will surely last long for many more decades. Bitcoin is very risky because of its volatility and we all know this.
You also have to consider that you have to pay some miscellaneous fees when you want to get your hands on gold, and most of the time they will not give it to you and they will be asking you to pay a storage fee for your precious gold which is taxing for your time and your wallet, yes gold is a good investment but I wouldn't necessarily say that it is a long term one. Bitcoin on the other hand, you just need a wallet and buy some with your cash and put it on your wallet and then leave it somewhere that you will not forget to look for but at the same time safe, bitcoin is a better long term because when you look at the market prices since inception, the growth is evident that is far higher than any blue chip companies. You can play safe and invest in both, you know what they say, do not put your eggs in one basket.
2931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you bought the dip? on: January 14, 2021, 05:22:39 AM
The real dip was in 2018 and 2019.
That was the time to fill the pockets
.
Now we just had a small discount Wink
If that is how you put it, that is right in a way. Nobody really knows when it is a dip after it happened. I did not bought the hiccup because I believe that it will be a temporary movement that will only spring the prices back to a higher point in the near future, the last spurt of prices back in 2018 was around the 15th of January so there is still some time left before something uncertain happens.
2932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought Trezor through Amazon, arrived sliced open. on: January 14, 2021, 04:45:41 AM
Never been a customer of Amazon because the shipping time in my country is so long but to see that getting your package cellophane getting sliced open gets me worried but I think it is not Amazon's fault, I think it is more of a customs in your country that likely sliced open the package, I do understand what they are getting into but knowing that it is Amazon package should be enough for them not to check it out for possible narcotics. I think your customs are a corrupt bunch that are trying to score some big packages that might come through your ports.
2933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 14, 2021, 04:10:32 AM
~
Well as a student, you should use your earnings in your studies and at school instead of gambling. If you are still studying for now then just forget gambling. Focus on your studies but at the same time save and invest some into different investments of your choice. Gambling will not give you any benefit so just continue what you are doing right now.
My study is free so most money that I get are invested in some other way, I said it earlier I still play with my friends but the stakes are lower.
2934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP SEC lawsuit complaint on: January 14, 2021, 03:34:28 AM
Yeah, the case seems incredibly strong against Ripple.  I didn't really have any opinion until reading the complaint, seems like a massive fraud pump and dump scheme.  Say you like came up with a stock and had 99 of your friends in on it to pump up the price, the victims are the sad few outside the circle that don't know what you are doing to manipulate the price of the stock.  In this case crypto.  My thinking is it does not look good for Ripple on this one because their 'use case' was not the main motivation behind the crypto but just a side show to make people think it was legit.
The case is only strong against Ripple is because they have a creator to sue behind while Bitcoin does not have one. I do not think this BS of a lawsuit will lead to any progressive things, maybe if they can prove that it is not used for a better purpose, maybe they can get something out of it. Isn't that pump and dump present in bitcoin too?
2935  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto friendly countries, where and how to exchange your crypto with 0 taxes on: January 14, 2021, 02:57:50 AM
If you do not want to pay for taxes, maybe tries a P2P trading where someone can buy your bitcoin at a given price point with cold hard cash, make sure that it will be a physical P2P trading so there will be no problem. I do not know much about crypto taxation because in my country there is hardly no tax even if we were to withdraw at banks.
2936  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bulltardia, A bitcoin fable on: January 13, 2021, 12:14:15 PM
Bulltardia is a comic series about Bitcoin. It follows the adventures of Bit the honey badger who is asked by his father (the old Satoshi) to bring a lunar fragment back to is birthplace... the Moon.

Basically a fable. I take real life events and people related to Bitcoin and turn them into animals in a fantasy world.
Wanted to make something entertaining for Bitcoiners and non Bitcoiners alike, hopefully raise enough curiosity in the latter so they're drawn to dig deeper.
Is this something like Cyanide & Happiness type of web comics because I really like those kinds of format, straight to the point. You have a really good purpose for this project, I will be a visitor you can guarantee that. Regarding the treasure, can you make it harder and also to make the hunt thrilling, make the reward bigger, maybe 1 BTC.
2937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Those who regret not buying bitcoin before, this is your chance, buy it now. on: January 13, 2021, 09:24:14 AM
Of course, this kind of correction are healthy, as investors who have missed the boat have the opportunity to rejoin and be a long term holder. The key here is that you really need to hold for at least a year to maximise your profits, otherwise you will just get small dividends.

However, as the saying goes, invest what you can afford to lose. Or better yet, don't wait till the price goes down to $20k at is might not happen with the way the price is moving today. Although we are down in the last 3 days, the sentiments are still very bullish.
This correction will be a temporary hiccup in the prices, I do agree that waiting for a dump around that number will be difficult because by that time, the prices are already on the rocks because of dips. The people who are still not buying is either waiting for an affordable dip or they are just ignorant that the prices will increase.

2939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He said Bitcoin is a Scam: See What happened to Him on: January 13, 2021, 07:32:30 AM
I don't bother with people like that. Anyone who thinks everything that they say is pure fact and that they are always right is a moron. It amuses me when people seem to think they know so much more than other people when while they don't even know what they are saying. Most likely this fool was scammed for his bitcoin and instead of taking responsibility he blames bitcoin.
Me too, these kind of people of who do not own up to their mistakes and not admit that is their fault is a hopeless cause, imagine getting screwed by someone and you blame the medium you used for the transaction instead of yourself and the scammer, that is the weakest mindset that I can think of, having the ability to be ignorant about your mistakes is something that is done through self discovery.
2940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: January 13, 2021, 06:47:15 AM
I paid my debts a little bit faster so that is pretty cool
I am still a student and good about most of my debts, it was let go by the person that I am indebted with. There are cliché things that bitcoin did to me although it is not that much but the one that I will share is the most recent one and that is me buying some figurines that will only go up in value as time goes by.
