Second case includes all possibilities if...if...if...else. This is the right way writing if..then...else clauses, and it is used in other coins (Digibyte,...)

I found answer on my question. you are rewarding with 25% current miners, with 400 net/block instead of 320 net/block.

Is 325 million NET still limit for PoW coins?

2942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ANN) Netcoin has gone POS! With PIR & OWI on: October 12, 2014, 12:43:06 AM

Which coin is the most similar to Netcoin at this moment?

2943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ANN) Netcoin has gone POS! With PIR & OWI on: October 11, 2014, 10:58:03 PM

Why is new PoW block 400 instead of 320 in Netcoin v2.20 ?

Why is the content of website http://www.quarktalk.cc/ partially closed for public? (without logging in)

This is not good practice.

Which part is closed? When i'm logged out i can still see all sections (quark talk, quark core, intentional and other)

It seems Project  Development section only.

ha it's like watching one of those little ant farms.

Some more to watch for you:

If someone still was in doubt whether Kolin was not aware about Quark or mining Quark from day 1:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.msg2777607#msg2777607

Also see that "Spoetnik" was interested in Quark just one post after Kolin lol

This is all very interesting but really what are we trying to demonstrate here?

Can you just spell out your hypothesis here so we can analyse it once and for all? I'm not saying you're correct or incorrect.

QRK started as a scam? and those involved were somehow got unfair advantage?  - i don't think even if that was the intention it worked out like that.

All of this seems fairly improbable since stephen lamb took more or less the vast majority of easy coins along with a couple of other hash whales. These people to my knowledge dumped them all pretty soon after, reducing the price to arond 60 sats and keeping it down below 200 sats for some time.

Let's just get this all out in the open , deal with it and then forget about it. The origins of the coin and those involved are not all that important at this stage to me. I feel that whatever the start only a few well known hash whales that had bots monitoring the board grabbed it all up and then lost interest and dumped. DI told bill, he brought in a ton of investors, they grabbed a little of each and sit on it. There is not much for sale. Little sells and buys make the price fluctuate a lot. The vast majority never comes near the market.

How's the steam games project going?

I remember that at the beginning of the Quark there was attempts to steal Quarks from miners or  careless wallet owners. Some thief(ves) made fake wallet in order to steal Quarkcoins.

This does not mean Quark is scam at all.

Unfortunately I have involved in mining Quarks after few months, not from beginning.

Nothing happens, so let's try something.

Are there some development connections between Quarkcoin and Zetacoin?

Shakezulu of Shakezula has coincreation webservice. It is obvious he is involved in creation of many coins. Creating coins is his job.

I am aware about the service of shake. We must not forget that quark is just a clone of sifcoin. Adam and max created nothing original.

Why do you think there is a development connection between zeta and Quark?

Yes, a few others too...

Interesting that you enter the Quark thread igotaids.
can you be more specific:
- what are the development connections?
- Which others do you mean?

Why I think it is interesting that igotaids is here?
I have read this post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=599106.msg6592556#msg6592556

And hm, didn't I post earlier a connection between "digitalindustry", "hazzard" and "shake" before Quark was born?

Shake was one of the creators of Quark.
hazard created kopimicoin

Shakezulu of Shakezula has coincreation webservice. It is obvious he is involved in creation of many coins. Creating coins is his job.

When I first read log from irc chat at Aug 2014, I was surprised he is involved in the discussion.

All that does not mean Quark has no unique features. See where Quark is  at http://mapofcoins.com/

1) At the beginning of makefiles (for netcoind .exe) add if necessary:

# Copyright (c) 2009-2010 Satoshi Nakamoto
# Distributed under the MIT/X11 software license, see the accompanying
# file license.txt or http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php.

CXX ?= g++

USE_UPNP:=0

2) then change every appearance of g++ with $(CXX)

3) Below obj/noui.o add:

    obj/noui.o \
    obj/zerocoin/Accumulator.o \
    obj/zerocoin/AccumulatorProofOfKnowledge.o \
    obj/zerocoin/Coin.o \
    obj/zerocoin/CoinSpend.o \
    obj/zerocoin/Commitment.o \
    obj/zerocoin/ParamGeneration.o \
    obj/zerocoin/Params.o \
    obj/zerocoin/SerialNumberSignatureOfKnowledge.o \
    obj/zerocoin/SpendMetaData.o \
    obj/zerocoin/ZeroTest.o

4) In makefiles (i am interested in makefile.mingw Smiley ) below obj/%.o: .... add commands for compiling obj/zerocoin/%.o : ...

obj/%.o: %.cpp $(HEADERS)
   $(CXX) -c $(CFLAGS) -o $@ $<

obj/zerocoin/%.o: zerocoin/%.cpp
   $(CXX) -c $(CFLAGS) -o $@ $<

http://kolinevans.wordpress.com/2014/10/08/how-economics-broke-the-bitcoin-monopoly-what-are-the-consequence/

How economics broke the Bitcoin monopoly & what are the consequence?

with message to Patrick Byrne.

Mining monopoly does not touch me at all Smiley

Market and market manipulation will judge all.

I am not impressed with biggest mining farms. They will be worth nothing without permanent new hardware updating and permanent marketing connected with bitcoin production and future (higher) values of bitcoins.

Imagine new coins with 100% mined coins in 1 week followed by PoS. By what that coins are better or worse than Bitcoin? I am not sure about technical advantages or failures, but theoretically and by simplifications they are the "same" as bitcoins.

What makes Bitcoin advantage is: Bitcoin is first (?) virtual coin type, Bitcoin is symbol, it is biggest (still), it has biggest virtual coins economy (still very small and unstable compared to fiat), it has biggest marketing (and price manipulations) and something else likely.

Finally, we all are thinking about, reading about, trading about, speculating, gambling with the "future".

I asked online merchants to add quark, and two have accepted...
if they use wordpress + coinpayment, it's very easy to add quark.

great work mate - don't forward them to that black hole of a forum, just send them to  www.qrk.cc

At first place we need every update information at this forum. Smiley  Other forums are less important for general attention Smiley

2954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ANN) Netcoin has gone POS! With PIR & OWI on: October 08, 2014, 04:49:25 PM

Let's correct some mistakes in the source code Smiley because I can't compile Windows wallet.

Source code is from https://github.com/netcoinfoundation/netcoin

1) In the source code it is missing folder
        src/leveldb

2) and in the source code it is missing files
        src/leveldb.cpp and src/leveldb.h

3) in the source code it is missing 2 folders:
        src/obj/
        src/obj/zerocoin

For 1) and 2) I used files from Litecoin 0.8.7.4. Very likely you can use files from the newer versions of Bitcoin.

Adjust configuration files too. Smiley

Quark is in good positions in this MapOfCoins.com

http://mapofcoins.com/

Much better than the current price valuation.

lets clear this up - Shake is no huge fan of my advice (or cryptocurrency) (his own admission) , i'll ask him on Twitter now to come and confirm if I knew him at Kopimi time and controlled the future.

"Shakes" response for our little sponsored attackers -

@Kolin_Quark according to my email, our first convo was 7/9/13; as for threads we may have bantered in on bitcointalk, #dontknowdontcare

you realize this is fun for me?  none of this counts as "disruption" you are helping, you are very bad at your job.

Thank you for your help.
Adam had first mail contact with you 9th july 2013 (12 days before quark's birth).

However, this doesn't answer my previous question, why you wanted to hide that?

Also the question in your Twitter thread from Adam is interesting about "hazzard".

Is it fun? No, for nobody! But maybe you should have realized that before you started to mislead and manipulate other people.

Nobody cares dude. You're obsessed with conspiracy theories.

Researching history of some coins is not supporting conspiracy theory.

It should be done for every coins.

Can you make new Rainbow Charts for Bitcoin?

It seems Bitcoin is below lower blue track.

What tools do you use for making Rainbow?

So as promised here is the new working Qt, I have downloaded and tested it on my VM and works like a charm. But if you have any further issues do let us know and we'll get right on it. Smiley

http://netcoinfoundation.org/NetCoin_v2.1.0.zip

I haven't updated the installer yet but I will be doing that at some point today. Untill then you'll have to use this.

Enjoy! Any thoughts or suggestions for us then please let us know and we'll look into them.

Where could I find source code of this updated version of Netcoin?

I found:  https://github.com/netcoinfoundation/netcoin  Smiley

2959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | cPoW | PC mining | Stability | Hashcows - QRK Payouts on: September 24, 2014, 06:08:34 PM

I noticed big discrepancy between the size of the wallet folders of QRK and DRK.

QRK is 14 months old and folder size is 2.14 GB
DRK is  8  months old and folder size is  0.4  GB

I think we should reduce the speed of folder growth.

We should do both (not the only one):
   -reducing time between generating blocks
-rising the size of the block proportionally to the reducing block time generation

For example,
-instead of having 1 QRK/block we should have 10QRK/block.
-instead of time between blocks 30s we should have 300s

Time for confirming transaction has to stay as it is now.

This way Quark parameters such as volume of Quarks, the new Quarks generation per year and the transaction confirmation time stays the same, while the growth of wallet folder will be significantly reduced (approximately 10x).

Is my suggestion or reasoning valid?

Is this idea good?

...1 finger involved in any activity..

My 1 small finger made compiling quark wallets using the newest libraries: Smiley

   http://quarkcoin.orgfree.com

Last time nobody visited that website! My small finger is angry Smiley

Sorry but I think nobody should use non official wallets.

I don't press anybody.

Some quarkers should try to do what I did and report if the results are good or bad. I think the wallet made using the newest libraries works good.
